Ch 7
The Hoshidans and Nohrians all looked at Team 5Ds with excitement.
"Count me in!" nodded Hinoka.
"Yes, I am also very intrigued by all this," smiled Ryoma.
"And there's singing at the karaoke club!" Scotch reminded.
"Shall we head over there, sweeties?" asked Camilla.
Scotch continued leading everyone to the club. Once there, he was happy showing off his talents. The guests were all amazed at how skilled he was.
"Wow! You're really good!" said Elise. Can you teach me, please?"
"Yeah!" Scotch said. He taught some basic breakdancing moves.
Elise followed along with surprising accuracy. Radley recorded video of it, and they were attracting a crowd.
"Check out the crowd, Yusei, Radley," pointed Kalin.
"Hmm, this is quite an interesting performance your ally is putting on," mused Xander.
"Scotch always brings them out," Biff said.
"My, my, such a good little boy," giggled Camilla.
Everyone clapped and whistled, encouraging him to keep going.
"This is the best Halloween ever!" grinned Leo.
Scotch thought so too! He brought the dance to a rousing close. The crowd went wild with whoops and hollers.
Scotch grinned. "Thank you, thank you!"
"Who wants to go next?" asked Kalin.
"Maybe we should go inside the club instead of staying on the sidewalk," Eafley chuckled.
"True. But I wonder what they are going to think of it, since they aren't just people cosplaying," shrugged Kalin.
"Who's to know?" Scotch blinked.
"There's only one way to find out for sure."
"Yeah!" Scotch marched in.
"Whoa, this place is crazy," said Takumi.
Scotch got on stage and started to sing.
"Wow, Scotch sings as well?* asked Sakura.
"Oh yes, he's very talented," Radley smiled.
"One of Xander's retainers loves to sing and dance too!" chirped Elise.
"Then they'd get along well," Radley mused.
"His name is Laslow," said Elise. "And Xander should sing for you guys!"
Upon hearing his youngest sister say that, the king of Nohr's cheeks flushed pink.
"We'd enjoy hearing you," Radley smiled.
"Um, is that so? Hmm, what song shall I perform tonight?" asked Xander.
"Well, you probably don't know any songs from our world," Radley mused.
"Yes, but perhaps you could provide a guide," stated Xander.
"There are prompts for lyrics on the machine," Radley said.
"Very well. Now, to find a fitting song," nodded Xander as he looked at the catalog.
"I wonder what he'll pick?" Scotch said eagerly.
Xander eyed a song titled 'Glory of Love'. "Hmm..."
"That's a cool song," Jimmy said when he stopped on it.
"Let's us proceed," said Xander as he walked into the stage and looked at the audience.
They waited politely for him to start, figuring he was in Halloween costume.
"I, King Xander, am very honored to be here tonight." He took a deep breath as the song began to play and the lyrics appeared.
The people seemed to be enjoying it.
"He's good!" Scotch said.
"Amazing, considering he's not from here," nodded Kalin.
Radley smiled and nodded in agreement. "He's like a professional."
"After Nohr and Hoshido unified, we trained in more casual hobbies," explained Leon.
"Cool," Radley smiled.
"I got chills hearing Xander say he's a knight in shining armor," remarked Corrin.
"It's fitting, huh?" Radley said.
"It sure does! He chose a great song!" smiled Corrin.
"The audience loves it too!" Scotch said.
Xander finished singing the song on a high note. Everyone burst into applause.
Xander smiled and bowed. "To fight in the service of others is the highest honor."
The people cheered.
"That was great," Radley smiled.
"Indeed, I am actually quite amazed Lord Xander pulled it of so well," nodded Ryoma.
"It's definitely impressive," Radley said.
"Yes, and the looks to die for," giggled Camilla.
Xander walked off the stage to rejoin his siblings.
"That was epic!" Scotch told him.
"Hmm, I must say, I'm surprised myself," smiled Xander.
"You really are talented," Radley smiled.
"Thank you very much for the compliment, Radley," said Xander.
"Radley should sing too!" Scotch said.
"Yes, I agree," nodded Kalin.
"Oh? I think I can manage that," Radley winked. He went onstage to look for a song.
"I wonder what song he's going to perform?" asked Kalin.
"You know, I just thought of something cool," Scotch said. "You and Radley should sing Love is an Open Door sometime!"
"Sounds romantic!" said Sakura.
"It could be any kind of love if you don't sing the proposal at the end!" Scotch said.
"Um, did you just say proposal?" repeated Sakura.
"Yeah, I didn't mean for them to sing that part," Scotch said. "It's a song from a movie!"
"That's interesting," nodded Hinoka.
"The song Xander sang, Glory of Love, also came from a movie," added Kalin.
Radley wondered if they knew what movies were.
"What's a movie?" asked Elise.
"It's ... uh ... a stage play that you can watch anytime!" Scotch said.
"OOh! That sounds like fun!" grinned Elise as she bounced up and down.
"Yeah! They're epic!" Scotch gushed.
"Can we watch a movie with you guys?" asked Elise.
"Of course!" Scotch said.
"Perhaps we should listen to our friend Radley perform first," said Xander.
"Oh yeah, of course!" Scotch said.
Radley was having trouble finding songs he liked, but he finally found Thriller and sang that.
"I recognize this melody a mile away," smirked Kalin.
"Perfect for Halloween!" Scotch grinned.
"Hmm, it's amazing how people were able to create a song that is more entertaining than terrifying," observed Leon.
"The music video is creepy, though!" Scotch said.
"Yes I agree," nodded Sakura nervously.
Radley finished the song to applause.
"Radley put on a splendid performance," stated Ryoma.
"Thanks!" Radley smiled as he came down from the stage.
"You have natural talent; as both a Duelist and a singer," stated Ryoma.
Radley smiled, pleased. "I enjoy doing both."
"Perhaps we can learn from each other," smiled back Xander
"I'm looking forward to it," Radley said.
"We should invite you guys to our Spring Festival in Hoshido," said Hinoka.
"That sounds epic!" Scotch gushed.
"Yes, and everyone here is welcome to join us," said Ryoma.
"We'd love to," Yusei said.
"Yes, same here," nodded Kalin.
"What do you do at the festival?" Scotch eagerly asked.
"We play music, dress in yukatas, and marvel and the blossoming trees," replied Sakura.
"Cool!" Scotch said.
"And plenty of food," added Takumi.
"What kind of food?!" Scotch eagerly asked.
"We have rice, fish, greens, tea...just to name a few," said Ryoma.
"It sounds similar to here," Radley smiled. "Those are all good foods."
"Yeah, we noticed that," nodded Takumi.
"Guess our countries aren't so different after all," said Akiza.
"That's epic!" Scotch said.
"The scenery in Hoshido is so pretty too," said Camilla. "If only we learned that sooner."
"Do you have pictures?" Scotch asked.
"We have paintings, if that's close enough for you," replied Camilla.
"Yeah, if you have them with you!" Scotch said.
"We could show them to you if come visit Nohr," said Corrin.
"Epic!" Scotch said.
Antinomy was working on more portal calculations and felt he could make it work.
"In Nohr, we have pastries and wine, if that tickles your fancy," smiled Xander.
"Pastries are good!" Scotch said.
"Excellent, we promise you won't be disappointed," said Leon.
"Epic!" Scotch said.
"What else do you children want to learn?" asked Camilla.
Scotch finds it odd to be called a child. "Uh ... anything about your place!"
"We'd also love to learn more about Earth as well!" smiled Corrin.
"We'll show you lots of places!" Scotch said.
"Where are we going next?" asked Elise.
"Ok! I was thinking of buying some new clothes," said Elise.
"Cool!" Scotch said, and led them to Target.
