I'm well aware of some grammar/spelling mistakes in the last chapter. I really need to slow my pace on writing. I wrote that whole chapter in one night and I should've held off on publishing it until it was edited.
This will be the second part of the Christmas idea (with a third part on the way as well and maybe a fourth part, but that might really be pushing it).
Ash: And we'll finally understand more about these OC's and others from shows/anime like Digimon.
Hopefully. Any who, we all know the deal. I don't own Pokémon, blah blah blah. If I did, I'd be super rich and certain characters would be given a massive change in personalities. I mean come on! Kenny really needs to calm down with his teasing. Gary would've been less of a pain at the beginning (even though the message on the sign was funny). Maybe a certain dragon trainer would stop calling Ash a kid.
Ash: Thank you. I'm glad to see that others were annoyed by that.
Still better than being thrown into water when getting bumped into.
Dawn: Can we please get on with the fic? I want to learn more about what's going on.
Alright alright. Sheesh, why are people so impatient? *proceeds to get hit by a Hydro Pump.* WTF?! *dripping wet after the attack* I don't know what's worse. Pikachu, Piplup, losing my food to some crazy pony, or being given A Thousand Years of Death.
The Pokémon Center at Snowpoint City was starting to fill up with trainers dropping off their Pokémon after challenging the gym or being out in the cold. Christmas was tomorrow and everyone was running around trying to get what they needed for their friends and family. Nurse Joy had even roped a few trainers into helping her decorate the Pokémon Center for the holidays.
For two trainers in particular, they had just woken up as the light was starting to pour into their room. Dawn was laying on Ash's chest as Ash had his arm around her, holding her close. The young couple was enjoying being close, as yesterday was really hard on Ash. From being reminded of what happened to his dad and telling the girl he loved how he felt, his mind was on a roller coaster of emotions. Right now, he felt like the happiest person in the world as he held the girl he loved.
He soon felt a pair of lips on his cheek as he felt Dawn move her body. Red started to appear on his face as he was not used to having anyone else show this amount of affection towards him.
"Good morning," Dawn said, giving Ash a quick peck on the lips. "Are you feeling better?"
"Yeah," Ash replied. "Thanks for helping me." Dawn just smiled as she got up and walked to the bathroom. Ash watched as she disappeared behind the door before getting ready himself. He still couldn't believe that Dawn chose him when she had so many others to choose from.
After getting dressed, he went down to the lobby to get some food and see who else had showed up. He knew that Misty would be traveling with Tracey. It made sense as both were in Kanto. May would be stopping by with Max and Drew. Even Serena said that she would be stopping by with her friends.
Ash blushed when Serena said that she wanted to meet the travel companion that stole his heart. The two of them had a bet that Ash would find someone just like him. While Ash tried to avoid said romance and even then thinking that it would be another gym trainer, as coordinators at the time were just starting out and many were starting to act like they were better than everyone else. Ash had never really been one for romance until he arrived in Sinnoh.
Now, Ash had found someone just like him. Someone that had a goal to be the best that she could be. Their arguments when they first met had started to die down and now they were best friends. Well, boyfriend and girlfriend now. Dawn had started to help heal that hole in his heart from when he lost his dad. A hole that he thought would never heal. One he thought that would make it to where he was alone for the rest of his life.
As Ash made it to the lobby, he saw Brock was already being dragged away by Croagunk like always, but this time he was also joined by Misty and Max holding Brock by the ears.
"He started hitting on Officer Jenny," a voice said. Ash turned to see May and Drew, the latter having told him what happened.
"Triple teamed," Ash said. "That's going to really hurt." He shook both of their hands before they went over to get some food.
"So where's Dawn?" May asked.
"She's still getting ready," Ash answered. "She'll be down in a few minutes."
"Guess again," Dawn said, walking up behind Ash and wrapping her arms around his torso. Dawn put her head on Ash's shoulder and kissed him on the cheek, causing the trainer to blush. May and Drew just stared at the scene, both unsure how to react. "Nice to see you again, May."
"You too, Dawn," May replied, getting over the shock quicker than Drew. "I didn't know you two were together."
"It happened just last night," Ash said. "Had a rough day yesterday and Dawn helped me get over a lot of it."
"Let's hope that issue won't return for a while," Redbeard said, walking over with Patrick. "Officer Jenny said that Conway disappeared after his humiliation at the hotel last night. Might just let Jigglypuff draw on him next time."
"How on earth did you catch that thing?" Ash asked, getting his and Dawn's plate while Dawn went to find a place to sit for the group.
"Pokeball just dropped on her head," Redbeard replied. "Had to find a way to keep her singing from putting us to sleep a few times. We ran into a few dumb dumbs from Team Rocket that were testing out some ear plugs to stop some sing attacks. While they worked, they canceled out all other noises. Allowed us to sneak up on them and arrest them."
"You never did mention what you're apart of," Drew said, taking his and May's plates to the table.
"All I'll say is that we're a task force that's been formed to deal with all these criminal organizations," Redbeard answered, taking his plate to his own table. Patrick followed behind, holding onto his plate and some coffee for their group. Ash and Drew walked to where May and Dawn were sitting, handing their girlfriends their plates before sitting down themselves.
"Sorry about being late," Brock said, sitting down with the others. Soon, Misty, Tracey, and Max joined them, all of them sitting there eating breakfast. Dawn was introduced to the others and everyone was told about her and Ash now being involved, which led to a lot of teasing on the new couple. Misty of course couldn't resist giving Ash the most hell as she was his first travel companion.
Unknown to the group, someone was watching them, his eyes on both Ash and Dawn. When he looked at Ash, his face held cold fury, angry at the humiliation he had faced the night before. When he looked at Dawn, a perverted smile crept onto his face, determined to make Dawn his one way or another.
"I guess the only way to make Dawn mine is to get rid of Ash," Conway said to himself, walking away. He went to the bushes, pulling out a special knife he had made, coating it with poison. He waited for Ash to come out, determined to get what he wanted. One way or another, Ash would die.
Ash began walking outside, getting ready to train for his next gym battle. He knew that the others would help, but he wanted to get started, getting ready to plan a strategy. He knew that the ice type gym here would be a tough one. He had a few ideas on what to do, but from what he heard about the gym leader, she was just as unpredictable as he could be. Any training he could get in advance would come in handy. As he was thinking, he never heard someone sneaking up behind him.
A sharp pain went up through Ash's spine as he fell to the ground. As Ash screamed in pain, he felt another stab in his back, causing even more pain. He was rolled over, only to see his attacker.
"Coward!" Ash spat, struggling to keep Conway from stabbing him in the stomach.
"Dawn will be mine!" Conway screamed, putting all his strength into his attack. Despite Ash dealing with pain, he was still able to hold Conway back. Just as the knife was about to poke his stomach, Conway felt a kick to his side, forcing him off Ash.
"Get away from my boyfriend!" Dawn exclaimed, getting in front of Ash. As Conway was about to try again, Pikachu went in front of Dawn, electricity forming on his cheeks.
"Pika-CHUUUUU!" A massive thunderbolt hit Conway, causing him to blast off into the woods. With luck, they wouldn't see him again for a long time.
"That'll teach him," Dawn said, feeling satisfied that he was gone. A soft groan behind her reminded Dawn that they weren't out of the woods yet. As Dawn turned, she saw Ash trying to get back up, only to fall flat on his stomach, withering in pain.
"Pikapi!" Pikachu exclaimed, running to his trainer. "Pika pi pichu ka."
"Ash," Dawn said, trying to hold back her tears. "I'm going to try and help you up. We need to get you back inside."
Ash nodded and got back on his hands and knees, allowing Dawn to put one arm over her shoulder. Ash used as much strength as he could and stood back up, trying not to lean on Dawn too much. As he took his first steps, he started to feel nauseous. Doing his best, he ignored it as his girlfriend helped him back inside.
The moment they were inside, Ash collapsed again, Dawn just barely holding onto him as they both fell onto their knees. Ash felt his eyes grow heavy as he started to drift in and out of consciousness. As he began to fall into his side, the last thing he saw was Dawn over him, crying out his name as his friends and mom ran over.
Dawn began to go into hysterics as Brock and Tracey got Ash onto a stretcher. As he was pushed back, Dawn was helped up by Misty and May, both trying to calm down the coordinator. As they sat down, Dawn got back up and began pacing, her mind going at a hundred thoughts a minute.
"What if he's crippled?" Dawn asked. "What if he doesn't make it? What if he slips into a coma? Why didn't I go out there with him? We just got together and now I may lose him."
"You need to sit down," Misty said, grabbing Dawn's shoulders, pushing the bluenette into a seat. "Dawn, I've literally seen Ash die right in front of me before. If what I saw when I traveled with him is any indication, he'll be fine."
"Your friend will be ok," Hikari said, walking over. "We found the knife. It was coated in venom, but luckily, Nurse Joy has a cure. Just give him a few hours and he'll be awake again."
The three sighed in relief as the news was given to them. Ash would be fine. While it would take some time to heal completely, he would be able to celebrate Christmas with them.
Two hours passed until Dawn couldn't take it anymore and started to walk to the doors that Ash was taken through. She had waited long enough and couldn't get her mind to settle down. Just as she was about to walk through, Nurse Joy came out, a smile on her face when she saw Dawn.
"He's asking for you," she said, going to her desk. Dawn ran back to the room, ignoring the amused looks she got from her friends. All she cared about was making sure that the one she loved was safe.
As she opened the door, she saw Ash talking to Brock and Tracey, all three laughing at a story that Tracey told about Professor Oak being chased by Ash's Pokémon.
"Hey Dawn," Ash said, trying to sit up more. The moment he moved, he moved his hand to his back, hissing in pain. Brock went over to Ash and helped him lay back down, turning him on his side to check his stitches. Dawn held Ash's hand as Brock made sure his friend was ok. Tracey had gone to get some pain medicine from Nurse Joy, knowing that Brock would just be dragged away by Croagunk the moment he saw her.
"How are you feeling?" Dawn asked.
"Better," Ash replied. "Just bummed that I won't be able to get any more training for the rest of the year."
"Rest is more important," Brock said. "Try to relax. Nurse Joy assigned Tracey and I to help you get better."
"I have no intentions of leaving his side," Dawn stated. "I left him out of my sight for just a few minutes and found Conway trying to kill him."
Brock nodded as Tracey came back with the medicine. As Ash took the medicine, he laid back down, trying to help keep the pain from getting worse. Dawn held onto Ash's hand, their fingers interlocking. Brock and Tracey left, giving the couple some alone time. They knew that the two of them would be fine. For now, they would be keeping an eye out for Conway and making sure all medicine that goes into that room was the correct one, as they had no idea if Conway would try to swap out the medicine for something else. It was better safe than sorry.
"We still need to let Delia know what happened," Tracey said. The two of them felt a chill run down their spines. Heaven help whoever had to tell her what happened to her son.
Dawn had sat down on the side of the bed, trying to make her boyfriend as comfy as she could. She leaned over and kissed him on the cheek, soon laying down next to Ash, her head laying on his shoulder.
"Please don't leave my sight ever again," Dawn said, holding back her tears. When she didn't hear a response, she looked over and saw that Ash was fast asleep. As Dawn heard his light snores, she smiled, knowing that Ash was at peace. Dawn smiled and went back to laying next to the person she loved, determined to make sure that Conway paid for what he did.
'Next time I see Conway he'll wish that he had never met us,' she thought, planning on her next move against that stalker.
Time to stop the chapter. Next chapter will be the Christmas Chapter. Also, Conway will get the beatdown of a lifetime.
Dawn: About time. I will make him pay for what he did to my Ashy
Ash: Can we please not use that nickname?
Dawn: Sorry.
OK you two. We need to get ready for the next chapter. I'll need some Pokémon ideas for the two from the other fandom and some combo attack ideas. I will be sending Jigglypuff after Conway next chapter and he will get his face marked.
Ash: Please allow me to hide before I have to listen to that Jigglypuff.
Dawn: It can't be that bad.
You have to remember that Ash had dealt with that Jigglypuff ever since Kanto. Had his face drawn on too many times. Any who, I hope everyone had a Merry Christmas and will have a Happy New Year. This will be my final chapter of the year on any story. After this, I need to get started more on the fourth chapter of a story I'm writing and really need to get an Alternate History book I'm working on. I'm still up for hearing more ideas. After this is done, I will be doing one where Dawn goes back to Kanto with Ash. Just have to avoid how others did it. I also plan on changing up the Tag Battle competition. Ash will still get Chimchar and the partners will still be the same mostly, but something will happen that will allow Ash and Dawn to be a team together.
Ash and Dawn: See everyone next year!
Also, I know it seems like this was updated a few times. Issue with the chapter showing up as code.
