Lee Jordan announces."It's clear that Gryffindor. Is the better team they lead with thirty to nothing." Flint grabs a beater bat and knocks out the Gryffindor Keeper Using a Bludger. Lee Jordan says."that's a dirty foul by Slytherin captain Marcus Flint. But the ref does not call the foul."
And by using dirty tactics, they even the Score at thirty-thirty.
Danny and The Gryffindor Seeker, a boy called McLaggen. Are looking for the snitch. Suddenly, Danny's broom goes Out of control. And he is holding on for his life. Lee Jordan."Ladies and Gentlemen, it seems that Fenton is losing control of his broom."
Ron, Neville, and Hermoine look around. And they see Snape chanting and focusing on Danny. Hermoine says."I have an idea. I will be right back." Hermoine rushes over to Snape and uses Incendio to set his robe on fire. Chaos breaks out in the stands. And Danny regains control of his broom. Lee Jordan says."It seems that Fenton has regained control. And He sees the snitch."
Danny sees the snitch, but the Gryffindor Seeker is too busy shouting at his teammates. Danny follows the snitch. And after a chase all over the pitch. Danny Catches the Snitch, Winning the Game. Slytherin won with a score of one hundred and ninety vs thirty. Lee Jordan announces."Daniel Fenton has caught the snitch. Slytherin wins."
Danny, after taking a shower and changing his clothes. Is greeted by His Friends, Ron says."Im bummed that Gryffindor lost. But you were brilliant, mate." Neville says."Congratulations, Danny, you were great." Hermoine asks."Are you alright, Danny?" Danny says."Never Better."
The following day, The four friends are walking with Hagrid. Hagrid says."Nonsense, why would Professor Snape try to curse Danny? After everything, Professor Snape did get him on the team in the first place. It makes no sense to me."
Hermoine says."I know a spell when I see one. You must concentrate. And Snape did not blink once. I think Professor Snape wants whatever the Three-headed dog is guarding."
Hagrid replies in shock. "Who told you about Fluffy?" Ron replies."That Thing has a name?" hagrid replies."Look, you meddling in things that should be left alone. Whatever Fluffy is guarding is between Professor Dumbledore and Nicolas Flamel." Danny replies."Nicolas Flamel?" Hagrid says."I should not have said that. No more questions."
Later, the four meet, and Hermoine says." Nicolas Flamel, I never even heard of that name." Danny replies."I might have heard it once, but I can't remember. Ron Neville, you both grew up in the magical world. Any ideas?" Ron says."Never heard of that person." Neville says the same.
That evening, Danny knocks on Snape's office. Snape tells him to come in and asks."How may I help you, Mr Fenton?" Danny says."I like. To thank you for saving me from my broom, Professor." Snape replies."You're welcome, Mr. Fenton. Do you have any ideas who would try to harm you?"
Danny says."No, Professor, I get along with most students. And the one I dont get along with is a first-year like me. And can't be the culprit. Whomever it is wanted to use my Injury or Death as a distraction."
Snape says."We arrived at that conclusion as well. Now Mr Fenton. We dont know if this was a case of you. Being targeted. As a diversion or a legitimate attempt to kill you." Danny replies."I will proceed with care, Professor." Snape says."Good, Mr. Fenton. And one more thing. Tell your little Gryffindor friends to Look before leaping next time."
Danny says."Professor, they are Gryffindors. Forgive them, For they know not what they do. But I shall deliver your message. Good night, Professor." Snape says."Good night, Mr. Fenton."
Danny and His Friends continue to study hard. And in their free time. Try to find information about Nicolas Flamel. But they come up with nothing. And before they know it. Its Christmas.
Danny and Hemoine walk up to Ron and Neville. Who will both remain at Hogwarts for Christmas. Ron says."I see you two packed." Hermoine says."I see. That you two dont." Ron says."Change of plans. My Parents are off to visit my Brother Charlie in Romania."
Danny says."That's the brother who works with Dragons, right?" Ron says."Yeah, mate, my mom was not happy. With his career choice." Neville asks."What about Nicolas Flamel?" Danny says."Let's enjoy the holidays first and start again in the new year. I think we are overlooking something obvious." The four friends wish each other a Happy Christmas and Exchange gifts.
Danny and Hermoine Take the train to London. And they are joined by Dean, Justin, and Sally-Anne in their compartment. They talk about the first half year of school. Justin says."You know, Danny, im still impressed how you came up with that story on Halloween." Danny replies."It was all true. Except for the reason why Hermoine was in the bathroom. So did anyone. Get over the culture shock that is the magical world yet?"
Justin says."It's still a bit weird at times. But I made Great friends in Hufflepuff who always help me out." Dean says."I made great friends with Sheamus, And Ron and Neville are great too." Sally-Anne says."I love the wizarding world. I made great friends. But I do feel sorry for Harry Potter."
Danny tenses up a bit. Hermoine says."What the death eaters did was inexcusable. How could anyone do that to a child?" Danny replies."Why won't you ask the Nazis? Humanity with or without Magic. Is capable of great kindness but also great cruelty."
Dean then asks."Any plans for Christmas?" Danny says."Im staying in Britain, so I will probably do some sightseeing. How about the rest of you?" Justin says."Family Presents and telly." Dean says."Hey, Justin, that's my Christmas." Danny says."That everyone Christmas."
The train stops in London. And the five students wish each other a happy Christmas.
The Fentons and Grangers greet the children. Maddy asks."How was School kids?" Danny says."Great for the most part." Jack says."You can tell us back at the house. Now, a snowstorm might hit. And we dont want to be stuck here." At the same time, Hermoine is talking with Her parents. She walks up to Danny and Jazz. Hermoine gives Danny and Jazz her home address, and she expresses the hope that they will visit. They both promise to do so.
The Families split up. The Fentons arrive at the house where they will spend the holidays. Danny puts his trunk upstairs. And Danny Walks back downstairs and meets the rest of his family.
The Fentons and Vlad ask how his first six months of school were. Danny begins."Well. First, the train arrived in a small village near the castle. Then we went to the castle by boat. And then there was the opening feast where we got sorted into our dorms." Jazz asks."How do they sort Students?"
Danny replies."By putting on a magical hat." Jazz says."You're kidding, right?" Danny answers."No, im not." Danny continues explaining more about his time in school while omitting the dangerous events with the Troll and the three-headed dog. He finishes."I Joined my house team. Won my first game, And now it's Christmas."
Danny shows them the pictures he made. Jack looks at a photo with Binns on it and Says."I knew Ghosts were real. He must be the best teacher ever." Danny replies."Replace best with most boring. And you have the truth. Here, I recorded one of his lessons." Jack and Maddy hear the most boring monotone voice. And they have trouble staying focused on the class.
December 23th.
The Fentons are doing some last-minute Christmas shopping when suddenly a voice says."Jazz, Danny over here." They see a waving Hermoine walk up to them. And she asks."Are you doing some last-minute Christmas shopping as well?" Danny and Jazz say yes. And the three walk outside to a nearby park.
Hermoine asks softly."Have you found out anything about Nicolas Flamel? I could not find anything." Jazz overheard some of it and Asks."Why are you looking into Nicolas Flamel?" Danny says."We overheard a rumor. And we decided to look into it."
Hermoine says."We looked in a lot of places. But so far found nothing." Jazz says."They might be different people. But I have heard of a Nicolas Flamel." Danny asked, surprised."Really, what did you hear, sis?"
Jazz begins."Nicolas Flamel was born in France in the early 13th hundreds. He was a scribe. Who either owned or ran several shops. He met his wife. His wife was a wealthy widow who brought the wealth of two Marriages. The couple had no children. He published several books. And he sold and Made herbal remedies. In his later life, he generously donated to charities and the church."
Jazz finishes her explanation."He died in the early 14th hundreds, Living well into his eighties. Descriptions and Rumors followed Flammel after his death and as the centuries passed. He changed into the most famous alchemist who ever lived."
Hermoine says."Of course, he lived before the Magical world separated from the None magical world." They keep talking for a bit. And Hermoine exchanges gifts with Danny and Jazz.
Christmas was a wonderful time. And in the days between Christmas and New Year's. Danny and Jazz visited Hermoine, who happily showed them her house.
The holiday passes swiftly. With Danny's nights filled with Training. And Vlad tells Danny that his Phasing evolved into Invisibility and Intangibility. Vlad explains the night before Danny returns to Hogwarts." This summer. I will teach you how to use your Ecto energy to create Ecto Rays, Blasts, and Shields."
The train ride back to Hogwarts is uneventful. Back at the castle, They run into Ron. And after wishing each other a happy new year. They tell each other what happened.
Ron says."Its Neville. He keeps sneaking out for some reason. Im getting worried. What if he gets caught." Danny replies."I will look for him." Danny looks all over Hogwarts. After an hour or two, He finds Neville sitting in front of a Mirror.
Danny walks up next to him and Sits down. He says."Happy New Year, Neville." Neville looks up and says."Happy New Year. Danny, when did you get back?" Danny replies."A few hours ago. So why are you here? People are worried about you." Neville says."Look in the mirror. Danny, it's my Parents."
Danny looks in the mirror and says."I can only see my family. My Parents, Uncle, Sister, My Friends. Back home and Two shadowy figures."
A voice asks."Back again, Neville?" Danny and Neville look up. And they see Dumbledore. Dumbledore says."It seems that you both found the delights of the mirror of Erised. Can either of you tell me what it does?"
Danny says."Considering the name is desire spelled backward. It must show the viewer what they want or miss the most. Their deepest desire."
Dumbledore says."You are correct, Daniel. Now, if I may ask, What did you both see in the mirror?" Neville says."I see my parents." Danny says."I see my family. And two people who I can't seem to remember."
Dumbledore says."Daniel, my theory is that those two are your birth parents. And why do you see your family and Friends? That is because you spend A lot of time away from your loved ones. It's only natural to miss them dearly. And Neville, even tho your parents are alive. They are at the same time lost."
Dumbledore continues."You both are orphans of the horrible war. Entire families are gone from this world. But this mirror provides neither truth nor comfort. Boys and Men have wasted away in front of it. They are Driven insane by it. So tomorrow we will find a new place for it. And I must ask both of you. Not to go looking for it again. It does not do well to dwell on dreams and forget to live."
Danny and Neville say."Happy New Year, Professor." Dumbledore says."Happy New Year, children."
