Danny has settled back home, and His parents are working to upgrade his watch. He exchanges frequent letters with Hermoine, Ron, And Neville. At night, Danny trains his ghost powers. He found he could create ecto shields and Ecto rays. Both of them are red colored. His super strength has increased from one ton to five tons. And his speed and agility have improved as well.
He has fully mastered Flight, Invisibility, and Intangibility. And in his free time. He spends the mornings being tutored by Jack or Maddy and the rest. He hangs out with his friends and Jazz. And then it's time for his birthday.
Danny wakes up and takes a shower. After that, he walks down, and his family and friends yell."Surprise." Danny responds with."Thanks, everyone." Suddenly, a honk comes from outside. Danny is surprised to see Ron, Neville, and Hermoine chaperoned by Arthur Weasley. Arthur greets him friendly."Hello Daniel, Happy birthday." Danny replies."Call me Danny, Mr Weasley, come in."
Danny Introduces his friends to each other. Danny says."Sam and Tucker, may I introduce Ron, Hermoine, and Neville. Ron, Hermoine, and Neville, May I introduce Sam and Tucker."
Everyone meets each other and is talking. And the adults suddenly ask Arthur?."How did you get here, Arthur?" Arthur looks around to make sure the kids dont hear him, and he says."With my Flying car, of course." Jack Asks."Can I see it?" Arthur smiles and says."Of course." Jack says."Kids, we are back in an hour." Maddy says."Behave yourselves while we are away."
The party continues late into the night. And Sam and Tucker say goodbye. The Hogwarts Golden Quartet stays over for the night, with Ron and Neville sleeping in Danny's room and Hermoine staying with Jazz.
Jazz and Hermoine are talking, and Jazz asks."Did everything work out with your research on Nicolas Flamel?" Hermoine says."Without you, it might have taken us ages to find something." Hermoine then asks shyly."Jazz, what kind of girls does Danny like?" Jazz replies."Honestly, I dont know. Most girls stayed away from Danny due to his accidents. And being the son of mad scientists did not do him any favors either."
Hermoine asks."Acidents?" Jazz answers."Accidental Magic." Hermoine nods and says."That was one of the reasons why most kids avoided me, too." Jazz asks."Do you like Danny?" Hermoine says."I dont know, but I do think about him a lot. He did save my life after all." Jazz says."You're only twelve, Hermoine. You have plenty of time to figure it all out." Hermoine hugs Jazz, and they both go to sleep.
Danny is teaching Ron And Neville how to play video games, and the three boys are having a blast. And they, too. Decide that it is time to go to sleep.
The next Day.
Arthur Weasley finally has a feeling. Of what it feels like to visit DisneyWorld. He loves the lab and all the inventions. The Fentons have made over the years. The words fascinating have been thrown around more times than what could be considered decent.
Suddenly, Arthur sees the portal and asks."Hey Jack, what is that?" Jack replies proudly."That is the ghost portal. Our greatest achievement. Took us over a decade, too." Arthur asks."Does it work?" Jack smiles and says."See for yourself."
Jack turns on the Ghost Portal. And not long afterward. The alarm goes off. Arthur asks."What is happening, Jack?" Jack replies."Something is coming through from the other side."
Suddenly, A blue-skinned ghost who dresses like a dockworker Comes out of the portal, and he says."Im the Box Ghost. I have power over all containers, cardboard, and square."
Arthur says."You are a Genius, Jack, a portal to the other side." Jack says."We need to get out of here, Arthur. He does not look too friendly." Arthur says."Agreed. Let's get out of here."
Meanwhile, danny receives a message from Jack. saying."Ghost in lab Help!"
Danny makes up an excuse and Transforms. He goes down to the lab And sees the Box Ghost.
The boxghost says."Im the Box Ghost beware!" Danny says."I dont want to hurt you. Go back to the portal." The boxghost says."Make me." The box ghost launches all things cardboard and square at Danny, Who phases and lets the boxes move through him.
Danny then attacks the ghost with an Ecto ray and Pushes the Box Ghost back into the portal.
Vlad appears behind him. And closes the portal using a remote and says."Well done, Daniel."
They both transform back, and right after that, Arthur and Jack walk into the lab, and Arthur asks."What happened here?" Vlad says."Daniel distracted the ghost while I made the portal suck the ghost back in."
Arthur says."It seems that my children were right about you, Danny. You are indeed a brave and cunning young man." They all have tea and lunch together, and then the time has come for the Weasleys, Neville, And Hermoine to go home. And they, say see you soon back at school. Danny returns the sentiment.
The Next Day.
Tucker runs in and says."Danny, we have tickets for the hottest new Horror movie." Danny replies."Sweet. Let's go."
They meet up with Sam and Jazz. And they enjoy the movie. They walk home. And Tucker says."You know, Danny, your new friends are weird. cool but weird." Danny replies."To them, you are the weird one." Sam says."It must be because they are British." Danny asks."are you guys nervous about high school next year?"
Sam says."Not really, im just not looking forward to spending another four years of my life with Dash Baxter or Mr lancer." Tucker replies."It's still weird without you not being there. With us, Danny." Sam says."Yeah, it feels like a part is missing." Danny replies."I know. I thought we would be in school together until college. At least."
Sam and Tucker hug him and say."well, we just have to make each summer the best." Danny smiles and says."You're on." And they head back home.
Danny spends his remaining time Hanging out with Sam and Tucker and the last week before school. Maddy and Jack tell Danny that Mr and Mrs Weasley have offered to let Danny stay with them for that week.
Danny asks. "When do they arrive?" And then the fireplace lights up, and Arthur walks out of it. And says."Are you ready to go, Danny?" Danny says."I go get my trunk." Danny comes back with his trunk. And his father gives him the watch. Mr. Weasley says."To travel with floo powder, Danny, you need to say. The location very clearly like this Britain, the Burrow."
Danny says goodbye to his Parents and Sister. And they hug and tell him to write often. Jack whispers and says."Danny, you can use the watch six times a day. Or once for a half hour. Choose wisely."
Mr Weasley gives him the powder, and Danny says."Britain the Burrow. And he disappears in the flames."
England, the Burrow.
Danny walks out of the fireplace. And Mrs Weasley hugs him and says."Welcome, Danny, dear. You will be staying in Ron's room." Danny replies."Thank you for having me, Mrs Weasley." Ron walks down and says."Welcome, Mate, it's not much. But it's home." Danny replies."I think it's cool." Danny's compliment causes Ron to beam with happiness.
Later, at dinner, the other Weasleys come home from playing quidditch all afternoon. Ginny introduces herself to Danny."Hello, Im Ginerva Weasley, but please call me Ginny." Danny replies."Im Daniel Fenton, but please, call me Danny. So, are you excited that you can finally attend Hogwarts? As well, Ginny?" Ginny nods and says."Yes, I heard wonderful stories from my parents and brothers."
Molly says."Tomorrow, the booklist and School supplies letters will arrive. So get an early night of sleep." Danny asks."Do they know who the new defense teacher is yet?" Molly replies."We will hear about that tomorrow, dear."
The next Day.
The book lists are delivered and to everyone's surprise. Danny's list is there as well. Arthur says."Dumbledore must know you here, Danny. Nothing gets passed, that man." George says."all this stuff won't come cheap, Mom. The books alone must be worth a fortune." Molly smiles and says."We will manage. There is only one place. Where you can get all of this Diagon Alley."
The Weasleys and Danny all travel by floo powder to Diagon Alley. The Weasleys and Danny head towards Gringotts. Molly Weasley empties their vault, And Danny takes a bag of coins from his. They walk across Diagon Alley. They come across Hermoine, Who is getting her school supplies as well.
They head into the bookstore and see a famous author signing his books. Danny asks who that is, and Ron says."Gilderoy Lockhart, our new defense against the dark arts teacher. Mom fancies him." Lockhart sees Danny and says."It can't be Daniel Fenton?! The one who defeated the Dark Lord?"
A reported pushes Danny on stage, and Lockhart says."Smile, Daniel. Together, you and I will raid the front page." Danny looks pissed, and Lockhart says."When young Daniel walked into the bookstore to purchase my autobiography, Young Daniel had no idea he would Be leaving with my entire collection free of charge."
Danny gives his books to Ginny as a gift. And as they head outside, they are stopped by Draco, who says."Daniel Fenton is so famous that he can't even walk into a bookstore without making the front page." Hermoine says."Leave him alone, Malfoy." And Draco says."Look, Fenton, you got yourself a girlfriend." Danny replies."At least I can get a girlfriend without buying one Peacock."
Draco fumes while the Weasleys are snickering. A voice says."Come now, Children play nicely." Danny recognizes the man from Vlad's descriptions and knows he is face-to-face with Lucius Malfoy. Lucius says."Mr Fenton, how lovely it is to meet you. Are you not afraid that some follower of the dark lord will try to take revenge?"
Danny says."Danny says I will deal with it when it becomes an issue." Hermoine says."Fear of a name will only increase fear of the thing itself." Lucius says."You must be Miss Granger. Draco told me all about you and your parents. Muggles, are they not? Let me guess. Red hair and a Vacant expression. you must be the Weasleys." He picks up a book from Ginny and says."second-hand books, you are truly a Weasley."
He then puts the book back. While in secret adds another book unbeknownst to anyone present.
Arthur walks up and says curtly."Lucius." Lucius says."Ah, Weasley senior. I do hope they pay for overtime. But looking at the state of things, I guess not. Associating with muggles just when I think you could sink no lower. Why be a disgrace to the name wizard if they aren't going to pay you well for it." Arthur says."You and I have very different ideas on what disgraces the name wizard." Lucius snickers and says."Clearly."
Danny suddenly sees Arthur lunging at Lucius. And he Instinctively pulls Ginny and Hermoine aside. Fred and George are cheering for their father. They are chanting."Get him, Dad." Hagrid pulls them apart and takes Arthur and the others outside. Hagrid says."Ignore the Malfoys. They are nothing but trouble. The whole lot of them."
Molly walks over to Arthur, fuming. And she says."Brawling in the street is a fine example you are setting for your children."
Dan Granger, having seen the whole thing. Walks up to Danny and says."Thank you, Danny, for pulling Hermoine out of Harms's way."
Danny replies."Any time Mr Granger Hermoine is one of my best friends after all." 'Hermoine beams at Danny's compliment and Hugs him.
Arthur and Molly offer their apologies to the Grangers. And the Grangers accept. Dan says."That man is unpleasant. But you can't let him get to you like that." Arthur says with his face red in shame."I will keep that in Mind." Ginny thanks Danny for saving her. Danny says."any time, Ginny."
