Cold Oak, South Dakota 2005

"Don't try to stop me!" The young woman was throwing things in her bag. "I can't take this anymore!"

"I said I was sorry!" Lily was sobbing. Why was she so jinxed? "I didn't mean anything I said!" She couldn't tell Frankie why she had to push her away.

"Now I understand why everyone calls you a freak." Frankie always found Lily intriguing, when they were partnered for their project for school, they immediately hit it off. However, she couldn't figure out why everyone went out of their way to avoid Lily.

"Frankie. Please, don't leave me alone again. The loneliness, I can't take it anymore." Her mom, her father, everyone she ever cared about was gone.

"Then tell me! Why are you pushing me away?" Frankie was looking at her with a tearful expression.

Lily knew why she had to let Frankie go. But seeing the love in her eyes, she runs up to her and squeezes her tight.

"I love you too. Ack!" Frankie started coughing violently. "My heart." She clutches her chest. She started coughing up blood.

Lily watches her with horror.

"No, no no. Frankie!" She wanted to run to the phone to call 911, but she knew it was too late. "NOOOO!" She screamed holding on to her girlfriend's dead body.

One Year Later

A tired John Winchester drives down the highway. That yellow-eyed demon, John spent many years looking for that bastard.

Ring! Ring! The old flip phone rings in his GMC truck.

"Yea." He never looked away from the highway, not even when opening the phone.

"John, I may have a possible lead. A Lily Baker, her roommate was found dead in their apartment last year." Bobby's voice was on the other end of the line.

"Demonic?"

"Heart attack."

John sighed. Normally a heart attack was nothing but, any leads on the bastard he'll take.

"Where?"

"John. Your boys are looking for you, Dean, he asks for you every day."

"I know." John felt incredibly guilty that he couldn't be there for his kids, but he was doing this to keep them safe. "Lily Baker, did her mom die in a house fire?"

"Yep. Exactly six months after her birth, just like Sam." Bobby was tracking down as many cases as he could, like John, he was trying to avert Armageddon.

"You know what powers she has?"

"I don't know. However, I found out everyone that who gets close to her ends up either sick or dead. Her last college roommate ended up in a coma and never woke up. The year before that, her college professor developed a rapid form of cancer."

"Death by touch?" Sam's powers, John feared the day when they'll manifest.

"Maybe. Her biological father left Lily before her fourth birthday. She was found in her home crying from hunger."

"Mmm." A bullet would be a mercy kill for Lily. He looked over at his picture. Sam and Dean were smiling in the shot, Sam was visiting from Stanford.

"I also found out something. In Wyoming, there's something demonic going on."

"What signs?" John pulled into a diner.

"To be honest, I'm not really sure. Sam and Dean, should I let them check it out?"

"No." This was too big for his boys. "Just keep an eye on things, let me know if anything changes."

"Got it. John. Don't forget, you're a father first, not a hunter. Don't let vengeance blind you."

John hung up the phone. He needed a bite before crashing for the night.

Lily sighs as she fills the coffee maker. Hearing the door open, she hoped this customer didn't stay for idle chat.

John was reading the menu when the waitress appeared.

"You need a few minutes?" As she poured his coffee.

"To go. Roast beef with wedges. Plus a slice of pie."

"Coming right up." When she walked away John looked at his text.

'Sam and I are in New York. Sammy, he and that rich chick are hitting it off.'

John smiles at the text.

'Maybe take that as a sign to settle down yourself.'

John always pushed his sons to be hunters, but deep down he wanted them both out of the Life.

'I'm good. Too many ladies around. Talk to you later!'

John chuckled. Dean never stayed with one girl for very long. Once the waitress came with his food, he swallowed his coffee and took out his wallet.

"You know a cheap motel?" He grunted.

"There's the Mallard on Smith." She writes down John's check.

"Thanks." He throws down a few bills. "Have a safe night."

"You too." Lily takes the money.

John was no fool, he saw the demons in the restaurant. However, now wasn't the time. They wouldn't strike, not till their master arrives.

In a dark alley somewhere an older middle-aged man waits across the street from an apartment complex.

"Lily." He didn't know why he came, he didn't deserve to see Lily. "I'm so sorry."

FLASHBACK

"Daddy, where are you going?" A four-year-old Lily was watching her father pack.

"Nice people are coming to get you." Edgar refused to answer her question. Lily, he was ashamed to say she scared him.

"Are you going on a trip?"

He sighed.

"Can I come?" She had her suitcase.

"No. This is for me only." Veronica, he hoped forgave him. "Goodbye, Lily." He already sold everything, he needed to be far away from her. He was calling social services once he drove to the bus station. He heard her crying as he shut the front door. Lily, she can easily take care of herself thanks to the guy who transformed her.

Edgar sighed remembering that day. He did the unthinkable, he left his daughter behind to fend for herself.

"Veronica. I'm sorry I was such a coward." He regretted every day leaving their daughter behind. "Lily. If I had stayed, she could have had a normal life. She, she was always alone, scared to let people close to her." Her 'gift,' Edgar kept tabs. He needed to see her, see if she could accept him back into her life. "Huh?" Where did all these people come from?

A large crowd was walking in his direction, they were coming from all corners.

"Weird." Was there a parade somewhere? Just when he got out of the shadows, he felt a gun on his back.

"Don't move."

"My wallet, take the money, but leave my pictures behind." Veronica, Lily, their pictures were inside. "Hmm!" He felt a meaty hand over his mouth.

"Shut up." John ordered. That Thing was here.

A beautiful woman appeared from the crowd, her eyes, were glowing yellow. She was staring up at the building, her prodigy was inside.

As tempting as it was to confront the demon, John was no fool. That demon was invisible.

"We have to move." Yellow Eyes were staring in their direction.

"But..." Edgar didn't have time to argue as John pulled him away.

"I never thought I'd see that thing again." The body was different, but with those eyes, Edgar remembered how they frightened him.

1983

"Look at those innocent eyes." Veronica was staring lovingly at her daughter. "Just like yours."

"Maybe. But she has your nose." He yawned. "We should head to bed."

"I'm going to warm up a bottle first."

"Okay. While you're doing that, I'm going to finish that movie." He tucks Lily in. "Get some sleep."

Baby Lily smiles her baby smile, with both parents smiling back.

"Night." Edgar follows his wife out of the room.

Edgar yawned as he shut off the television. Those new movies weren't as good as the classics.

Veronica was already in bed, she went right to sleep after she fed Lily. Just as he finished stretching, he heard a thump.

"Ronnie?" He immediately clamps his mouth shut. It was after midnight, he didn't want to wake Lily. Just when he was about to head to bed himself, he heard another noise, this time in Lily's room.

"At first I thought it was an intruder, till I felt evil." He wasn't paying any attention to the guy who was checking the building's water source. He didn't know his name, the man in black never introduced himself. "My wife, my daughter. Things were never the same after that night."

Edgar stood in the living room, listening to the noise. He heard Veronica's deep breathing, but the other noise was too loud to be Lily.

He cautiously heads to the garage to grab his bat, whoever was in Lily's room wasn't going to leave this house alive.

Being careful not to make too much noise, Edgar walks slowly down the hallway, holding the bat in his hands.

'I don't know why you're here, but you don't belong here.'

Just as he reached Lily's room, he paused at the door, making sure the intruder was inside. Hearing a dripping noise, he slowly peeks inside.

A man wearing a dark coat was standing over Lily's crib, he was holding up his wrist, dripping blood into Lily's mouth.

Edgar was ready to give the guy a beatdown, till the guy turned his head.

"What? How?" Those eyes, they were glowing yellow.

Edgar dropped his bat in surprise. His legs shaking, he slowly backs away.

"Edgar? What is it?" Veronica was in a deep sleep when she heard Edgar dropping something. When she saw Edgar trembling with fear, she gasped when she saw who was inside.

"I assume there was a fire." John drops the rosary in the pipe just when he finishes praying. They were on top of the roof of the building across the street, John already salted the roof.

"Yes. Veronica, she acted like she knew the guy." Edgar sniffed. "At first I thought she was having an affair, till she was dragged on the ceiling. Lily, I grabbed her before the bastard could hurt her too." Edgar started crying at the memories. "Veronica, she never stood a chance." Edgar missed her every day.

"You couldn't save her. My wife, I lost her the same way." John sighed. He never was able to forget about that night. Mary, her eyes were full of fear.

"Lily, she never cried after that night, she always just stared. But not a regular stare, it was like, she was studying me." Edgar sighed. "I became afraid of her, she was just a baby. A few years later, I left her behind and ran like the coward I am." Edgar regretted that day since. "I kept tabs on her, mysterious deaths happened at every place she was in. She kept getting expelled from schools, foster care, everywhere she went, no one wanted her around." If only he stayed behind, Lily, he could have kept her safe.

"It's too late for regrets. Those demons are coming for her." It was easy to get rid of most of them, but Yellow Eyes, John had no idea how to kill that thing.

"I won't leave her. Not again." Edgar doubted Lily would forgive him, but he'll try. "Those things, how are you going to stop them?"

"Those are low-level demons. There is holy water pumping into the street water source." John picked up a stack of sticks. "Palo Santo wood. It's like holy water to demons." John made a makeshift touch using his shirt.

"And Lily?"

"It won't hurt her, she's an innocent woman." John got his lighter ready. "Stay close, I'm going to set off the hydrants." John planted a few bombs.

Edgar didn't know who this was, but he trusted him.

"You have children?" He peeked over the roof, those freaks were still standing outside Lily's apartment building.

"Two. My boys, they fight the fight." John was so proud of them.

"Where they cursed too?"

"It's time." John refused to answer the question. Sam, John hoped he didn't have to take drastic motions when the time came. He took out his flip phone and dialled a number.

Edgar jumped hearing explosions. Every hydrant on the street was spewing water. Hearing screams, he was startled to see the crowd screaming in pain.

"What's happening to everyone?" The people looked like they were smoking.

"Holy water is like acid to evil. Those demons, they'll be smoking out soon to avoid the pain." Sure enough black smoke poured out of every vessel. "The people they possessed, they'll be okay, although most of them will have huge headaches."

"And Yellow Eyes?" Edgar hoped Lily was safe.

"I don't know. Let's move."

Lily was listening to Mozart, hearing screams, she turned up the volume on her headphones. She was studying her textbook, and although she wasn't in school anymore, she needed something to do.

'When the human psyche develops strong emotions, the brain is believed to release neuronal signals, to follow what the person wants.'

"Frankie." Lily teared up. "I miss you every day." Lily swore to never let anyone get close to her, not since her father. But Frankie, her empathy and humour drew Lily to her.

"That was awful!" To take a break from studying, both Lily and Frankie went to the movies to clear their heads. "Like that ever happens." The devil raised itself from Hell but was defeated by a strong, but humble man who sent him straight back down after reuniting the Earth's forces.

Frankie giggled.

"It wasn't that bad." She pushed her body playfully onto Lily making her blush. "The Good Side won. Besides, the hero won the girl." Typical hero movie, the bad guys cause trouble, a weak, but heroic man raises the challenge to save the world winning his true love's heart once the danger is over. She yawned. "It's late, but I'm not ready to go home yet. Want to grab a java? I need to get the popcorn out of my teeth."

"Sure." Lily hoped she'd make a friend. Never having a permanent home, she moved from place to place her entire life. "There's a diner on campus, I'm sure they are still open." She prayed Frankie and everyone here didn't know her dark secret. She shook her head. It's been years since...No. She refused to think about that day. She and Frankie walked down the street, Lily praying none of her classmates saw her.

"For a diner, that coffee was excellent." Looks like Frankie found a new study hall.

"Told ya. That's how they stayed in business all these years." This night, Lily never wanted to end. "Your dorm, want me to walk you there?" Lily wasn't worried about weirdos, she could easily defend herself, thanks to her 'gift.'

"You don't live on campus?" The college was small, there were only two dormitories.

Lily shook her head.

"I prefer living alone. People, they don't like me being around very much." She lost count of how many places she got thrown out. Homeless at fourteen, she had to rough it out to survive.

"I find that hard to believe." They reached Frankie's dorm. "You're amazing." Frankie was smiling at Lily.

"Me?" Lily was blushing. "I'm no one special." She was aware of how close Frankie was. "I should go." Lily couldn't move, especially with her study partner gazing softly at her.

"I don't have to go inside, I could be the one that walks you home." She moved even closer.

"Really? Um." Lily liked the way she smelled, like fresh fruit. "What about your curfew?" She couldn't look away, especially with Frankie taking her hand.

"There's no curfew. Lily." Frankie wasn't sure if Lily was gay, but she knew Lily felt the connection.

"I'd never been with anyone before." Lily never thought about it. She didn't fight as Frankie wrapped her arms around her.

"Lily." Frankie moved her face closer.

"Yea." Lily felt her heart beating but didn't stop Frankie.

When Frankie kissed her, Lily didn't know what to do. She knew what kissing was, but never allowed anyone to get closer to her. She closed her eyes, losing herself in Frankie's kiss. But when she heard Frankie gasp, she unintentionally pushed her away.

"Lily?" Frankie looked surprised but also apologetic. "I'm sorry, I thought you and I..."

"I'm sorry." Lily ran away before Frankie could see her tears. It was close. Very close. Lily ran as far away from everyone as she could, she didn't want to be known as her would-be murderer.

Lily made arrangements to study off campus, she didn't want to see anyone. Especially Frankie, she came over a few times, knocking to see if Lily was home. Like last month, she left a note for Lily, begging for her to call, apologizing for kissing her. When Lily never returned to campus, Frankie stopped coming around.

She was doing her homework when she heard a knock on the door. When she went to answer it she was surprised to see who was on the other side.

"Frankie." Lily didn't know what to say. It's been a few weeks.

Frankie looked embarrassed seeing Lily.

"Hi."

"Hi." God, she looked so good. Lily blushed, then realizing what she looked like, flushed with embarrassment. "Um, I already submitted my half of the assignment." The professor wouldn't let Lily work alone but agreed to let Lily and Frankie communicate over email.

"Can I come in?" Frankie asked shyly.

"Uh. Sure. Just give me a second." She had to hide her hands, especially the right one. Once she put on her gloves, she let Frankie in. "I'm sorry about the mess, I've been busy."

"It's nice." As expected Lily's apartment was tiny. Seeing a small chair, she sat down. "Lily. I came here to apologize." This time it was she who was embarrassed.

"Apologize? For what?" Lily was confused.

"That night, you and I..." She coughed. Her face turned pinker.

"Oh." Lily's face was bright red. She thought about that night every day.

"When you and I went out, I thought you and I..." She paused. "I didn't know if you liked girls." Frankie was gay, she never hid that from anyone. "I'm sorry if I made you uncomfortable."

"What?" Lily looked up at Frankie's red face. "You did nothing wrong!" She wanted to sit close to her and hold her hand, but remembering her condition held back. She sighed. "It's just that..." What could she say? That she was some kind of monster? She remembered her first foster home, her adoptive mom yelled at her for spilling the milk, and grabbed her by the hair. Lily, trying to set herself free grabbed her wrists. Then to her horror, her mom started coughing up blood. She dropped dead in front of Lily. Lily was only six. Then her counselor. He was talking about her future and he handed her a folder. Once Lily touched his hand, he grimaced. He died a few months later of a stroke. Time after time, bad luck followed Lily. Soon people became afraid of her. Cancer, heart attacks, people started calling her 'The Assassin.' Lily ran away at fourteen.

She lived as a homeless teen. She survived what she could, by stealing and working odd jobs. She even worked as a stripper using a fake ID, trying not to notice the lewd stares of her 'customers.' She was afraid of her gift, she knew there was something wrong with her, and refused to make any friends. Until she found out some of her coworkers were getting harassed by one guy.

Lily justified his death by telling herself he was an abuser. Not only did he force his girlfriend to strip against her will, he sold her to random strangers as a sex slave. Ivy cried seeing his corpse but admitted she was glad she was finally freed.

Lily left town that night, and even though his death was an accident, she heard rumours that people were looking for Lily. Lily, not wanting anyone to know who she was, jumped on the first bus out of town.

She went from town to town, doing what she could to survive. She homeschooled herself to get her education, getting her GED at eighteen. She chose this college because it was one of the cheapest schools in the country, plus the cost of living was affordable for Lily.

She refused to get close to anyone, preferring to be alone. She didn't want to draw attention to herself, dressing in boring, drab clothes to stay invisible. Of course that also gave her the reputation of being a loner, a title that saddened her, not because she wanted to, because she had no choice.

She made a mistake getting close to her professor. Professor James was the first one who believed in Lily. Lily, had this knack for solving complex problems, and he asked her if she considered going into quantum physics.

"Me?" Since she spent most of her time alone, she used her spare time to solve impossible riddles.

"Yes, you." He smiled at Lily. "You have this gift. I know you are in your third year, but ever thought about graduate school?"

"Not really. I have a lot of student loans at the moment, and I don't think I can afford another four years." Lily wasn't sure what to do after graduation.

"There are lots of scholarships out there, I can write you a letter of recommendation to attend MIT if you wish."

"MIT?" Lily couldn't help but shake in excitement. She didn't think she was that smart. "You think I can do it?"

Professor James laughs.

"We need more engineers, especially in medicine. Think about it."

That day on Lily studied her ass off. She worked hard in school, easily pulling a 4.0. For the first time in her life, she felt wanted. She helped her classmates as much as she could as a tutor, being able to chip away at her student loans in advance thanks to her tutoring job. Her Professor, she and him became close. Of course, it was strictly professional, he was too old for her, plus he was happily married. He mentored her as much as he could, making sure to push her to her full potential.

Then one day tragedy struck. Her professor was diagnosed with leukemia.

At first, Lily was devastated, everyone was. Professor James was a well-liked man. Every student in his class looked up to him, he was one of the few that smiled every day. He tried his best to keep up with teaching, but eventually, the cancer overtook him. He died shortly after.

Lily refused to believe she had a hand in it. She never touched the man, she went out of her way to keep him at arm's length. Until she tripped and fell. Unknowingly she touched Professor James' back, the hallway was crowded, and she didn't see him walking in front of her. At first, she thought it was a coincidence, till she remembered she had forgotten to wear her gloves that day.

Since then she once again withdrew within herself. She refused to tutor anyone, or team up to be partners with any of her classmates. Because of her social anxiety, she started getting a reputation for being a freak. She didn't blame them, they were right. But it was for the best, it was for their own good.

But being with Frankie, Lily felt new emotions, powerful emotions. No one made Lily feel so desired. Frankie was waiting for Lily to say something.

"Frankie." Lily turned bright red. "Um, I didn't mind. Not at all." Men, women, Lily was still trying to figure things out. "I." She coughed in awkwardness. "I've never been with anyone. Ever." She looked away in shame.

"I understand." Frankie wondered if Lily grew up in a religious home. Which explained why she was always alone. "You can take as much as you need." She takes out a pen and paper from her purse. "Here's my number. If you want to study or hang out, I'll buy you a coffee this time around." She smiled shyly at Lily.

"I like that." Lily and Frankie smile at one another. Once Frankie left, Lily stared at her hand. "Why should I be alone." She had a knife in the kitchen. Cutting off her hand would solve all of her problems. But she shook her head instead. "No. I can control it." She refused to let the darkness inside her win.

"I'm sorry Frankie. I should have let you go." Her selfishness killed her. "I deserve to be alone. But why God?" She teared up. "Why me? Is that why Dad left? Did I kill my mom?" She started crying. "Huh?" The lights in her apartment went out. "Probably an outage." She heard the explosions but didn't pay much attention to them, she lived in a rough section of town.

"Hello Lily."

Lily jumped hearing the voice. Turning her head, she saw an intruder in her apartment.

"Who are you?" Lily was sure she locked her door.

The woman stepped closer into her apartment.

"I have been waiting for you. It's time."

"Back!" Lily held up her hand. When the woman chuckled, Lily wondered why she was laughing. "What's so funny?"

"Your gift. You've ever wondered how you got them? Where they come from?"

"I don't know what you're talking about." Lily grabbed her textbook. "Back away, turn around and leave."

"You're special Lily. Your destiny, I've been waiting over twenty years for your power to grow. Your girlfriend, it wasn't an accident wasn't it?" The woman taunted.

"I said BACK!" Lily held up her palm. She didn't mean to, she always controlled it.

"I'm sorry! I didn't mean it!" Lily cried holding to Frankie's body. "I thought I had it under control!" Frankie's eyes were wide open in terror. "I just didn't want to be alone anymore." Her emotions, Lily let them overtake her. She heard the ambulance coming, someone must've heard her screams. "Forgive me."

"Who are you?" Lily growled. Whoever this bitch was, she wasn't leaving the apartment alive.

"A demon." When her eyes glowed yellow, Lily shrunk back in fear. "Like you. You see, you are a part of me. The evil, learn to embrace it."

"How am I supposed to protect her from that thing? I couldn't save her mom." Edgar and John were standing outside Lily's apartment building.

"With this." John thrust the homemade torch into his hands. "Light this. The fire will be holy, the demon will be repulsed by it. Take your daughter and run. Don't try to fight that thing."

"And yourself?"

"Just leave it to me." John filled his gun.

Lily ran down the halls. Whatever that was, Lily had to escape. Once she reached the stairwell, she was dismayed to see the woman standing in front of the stairs.

"Don't run. Come. Together we can change the world." Lily didn't know what to do, but when she felt the power coursing through her body, she felt white-hot anger. "You did this to me. Mom, Professor James, Frankie. It was all your fault. IT WAS ALL YOUR FAULT!" She used her right hand to kill the monster in front of her. When the woman smiled, Lily was confused.

"That's it. Embrace it. Use the power. But a warning, this woman, you'll kill her too, I'm just wearing her as a suit."

Just when Lily was about to let her go, she fell backwards when the demon was set on fire.

"Arrrrgghhhh!" The woman started screaming. Her entire body was in flames.

"Lily!" Edgar was holding a lit torch.

"Dad?" Edgar Baker was twenty years older, but Lily recognized him immediately.

"Run Lily!" He threw down the torch.

"Okay." She ran past the human torch into her father's arms. "Daddy. What's going on?" She wanted to cry.

"Not here. We have to get far away from here." John Winchester was waiting downstairs.

Neither paid attention to the black smoke escaping the now-dead woman.

"What's going on? Who is she?" Once they jump into John's truck.

"A demon." John grunted. He had anti-demon signals on his truck, it would be hard for evil to track him down. "We got to move. That thing will be after us."

"Daddy." Lily was sobbing in her father's arms.

"I'm not leaving you again." Edgar was crying in her arms as well. "I swear." He didn't know where John was taking them, but he would never leave Lily no matter what.

John watched them from the rearview mirror, he couldn't help but think about Sam.

"Lily, that demon. Did it give you a name?"

"No." Lily never thought that demons were real.

"What did it say?" John wished he knew what he was dealing with.

"That we could change the world." She didn't hug her dad, she didn't want to kill him. She wrapped her hands around her knees to keep her hands from hurting the two men.

"Lily, it's okay." Edgar flinched when she pulled away.

"I can put you in a motel. But not before getting supplies."

Lily watched as the two men salted and painted symbols all over the room two hours later.

"What is that?" A weird circle was on the ceiling.

"Devil's Trap. A demon won't be able to escape once it steps inside." John threw the now empty can into the garbage can. "You two, don't leave this room. No evil can get in or out." He hands Lily a paper. "If someone is possessed, chant this. The demon will be forced to leave its host."

"Thank you, for everything." Edgar was grateful.

"You should have enough food for a few days, don't open the door unless I call you first "

"What's going to happen to me? My powers, I'm scared." She wanted nothing but to hold her father, but she didn't want to hurt him.

John sighed. Even he didn't know. Sam, John ran from him too.

"I have a son like you, he has a gift. The demon, don't let its words control you."

Once John was gone, Lily and Edgar awkwardly looked at one another.

"Want to watch TV? I'm sure he provided us with pay-per-view." Edgar didn't know what to say, Lily was an adult.

"Sure. I'll get snacks." She saw a well-stocked fridge. "Dad?"

"Yes?" Edgar was waiting for this.

"Why did you leave me alone?"

"Because I'm an asshole." Edgar started crying.

"Oh, Dad." Lily threw herself in his arms. When she realized she was hugging him with bare hands, she threw herself back. "No! Stay away." She wouldn't kill him.

"Lily." Edgar was scared, but he would gladly die to keep her safe. "It's okay."

She quickly pulls on her gloves.

"Not until I can control it." John's words came back to her. "Pick something, I saw beers in the fridge." She knew why her father left, but no longer cared. "This paper, good thing I studied Latin." That demon, Lily swore she'd kill it.

"The Colt? As in Samuel Colt?" Bobby was shuffling through his papers. "Are you sure?"

"It's out there, supposedly it can kill anything." Sammy, Dean. John looked at the picture, it was taken at Bobby's.

"I can try, but you'll have to give me time."

"Thanks Bobby." John flipped off his phone, he had a case.

John was wiping his blade when he got a call.

"Hello?" He kicked the vampire's head away.

"John? It's Lily." Once Lily tells John what is going on, John runs to his truck.

"Don't leave that room! Re-salt everything!" John heard the demons growling outside. They must've found Lily and her dad.

"Don't worry, I won't. Dad is blessing the water in our room." They weren't Catholic, but Edgar was praying in the bathroom with a rosary. "Hurry! I don't know how long I could hold out." The phone cuts dead.

"Dammit." John throws down the phone. The drive there will take him hours.

Once John pulled up, he was startled to see dead bodies everywhere. What happened here? Taking out his gun, he slowly gets out of the truck.

Lily was sitting alone in her motel room, staring blankly at her hands when John walked in.

"Lily?" When he saw her father's dead body, he gave Edgar a silent prayer.

"He died protecting me. Those things were outside our room. They wanted to take me away. But Dad wasn't going to let me go. I, I chanted those words you gave me. We fought as hard as we could, Dad flooded our room so no demons could get near us." At first, they thought they were winning, the demons couldn't go near them. "When it went quiet, Dad went outside." Lily didn't cry, she had no tears left. "That thing possessed him. Dad, he begged me to run." Lily didn't turn around. Edgar died to protect her. "I understand now. Your son. He's lucky to have you." Lily knew what she had to do. "Goodbye."

"Take care, Lily." John knew he had to clean up this mess.

Lily was truly alone now. Everyone in her life was gone. She remembered her father's last words.

"Daddy!" She saw the yellow eyes, that thing was in her father's body.

"Lily. Run." Edgar felt his feet burning, the holy water was all over their room, Edgar felt the demon struggling to take control. "Don't let the darkness win. I love you. I'll always be with you." Edgar felt his consciousness slipping away.

"I promise." She felt Frankie's love, her father's. She held up her hand. "You'll pay." When Edgar's body grinned, Lily placed her hand over his mouth. "Go to Hell."

John and Bobby watched the bodies burning. All those demons for one woman. John didn't want to think once they found Sam.

"Colorado. The Colt was in Colorado." John didn't know how Bobby tracked this thing down.

"The boys will be finding it soon enough." Bobby glared at John. "All this time you knew Elkins had it. Why did you lie to me, to Dean, to Sam?" Dean called and said he figured out John's notes.

"It's complicated." John had to make sure his boys were ready for anything.

"You son of a bitch. When was the last time you told them you loved them, protected them? You don't deserve them." Bobby loved them as his own.

John never said a word.

"You're one strange man." Bobby and Sam couldn't figure out how Dean blindly worshipped John. "Don't corrupt Adam the way you did them." Adam was a teenager now.

"I won't." John felt incredibly guilty about how differently he treated all three kids. Unlike Sam and Dean, Adam had a relatively normal life. "I'll make them quit once this thing is dead."

"Will you? What happens after? What if they want to leave the Life? Get married, have kids? Daniel Campbell, he would've given them a normal life." Bobby never met him but heard stories.

"I know."

"Do me a favour. Never darken my doorstep again. You can find other hunters for help."

John didn't know what to do. He followed the boys from Elkins' cabin, at the moment both Sam and Dean were talking in the Impala.

He hoped Lily was safe, if not she was on a ticking clock. He knew he had to tell Dean the truth about Sam.

"Mary. I swear, I promise they'll have normal lives after this." John knew how Sam desired to have a normal life, especially Dean. "I'll make sure they'll follow Daniel's will to the letter. I already left them a book about building boats in my locker." Grandchildren, John wondered if that will ever happen, Adam, he could see it, but his boys? "You two will make wonderful fathers. Way better than me." John walked over to the Impala and knocked on the window.
