Danny visits hermoine every day. But he is frustrated that he can't do anything to help. Danny keeps asking around and looking for clues.
But Danny is stumped, and he has no idea where to look. In an act of desperation, he decides to talk to Hagrid. Danny knocks on the door, and Hagrid opens the door, holding a crossbow. He tells Danny to come in.
Danny asks Hagrid if he knows anything. Just as Hagrid is about to explain his side of the story, Someone knocks at the door.
Hagrid tells Danny to hide. Danny drops a mic While Hagrid is looking the other way. Danny activates his ghost powers. And walks through the wall and flies on the roof.
He overhears that a man named Fudge is telling Hagrid he must come with him as Hagrid's past is not working in his favor.
Meanwhile, Lucius tells Dumbledore that the governors have decided to remove him. Hagrid says. "Without Dumbledore, the Muggleborns won't stand any chance. There be Killings next." Lucius asks with glee."Do you think so?"
Dumbledore says."If the school governors wish for me to step back, I will do so. But Help will always be given at Hogwarts to those who ask. And in doubt, I find visiting the treasures of the past to be most illuminating." Hagrid says."And when in doubt, follow the spiders."
Danny has twenty minutes left with his ghost powers. He Follows the spiders into a massive spider and he finds the main spider he asks."Why did Hagrid open the chamber?" The giant spider says."Hagrid never opened the chamber of secrets. Within the chamber dwells a creature that all spiders fear."
Danny says."Thanks, I be on my way then." Aragog laughs and says."Leave? I dont think so. You see, my children do not attack Hagrid on my command, but I won't deny them a fresh meal." Danny casts a smoke charm and Uses the distraction to fly out of the spider den.
The next day, Danny tells Ron And Neville what happened. And Ron for his part. Was overjoyed that he did not have to walk into the spider den.
Danny is holding Hermoine's hand when suddenly he feels a sheet of paper in it. He reads it and thanks to Hermoine. Danny knows he is dealing with a basilisk.
After dinner, the school finds a chilling message written on the walls.
"Her skeleton shall lie in the chamber forever." Danny overhears the teachers. "Who has the monster taken?" "Ginny Weasley."
Danny pieces together the rest of the story. And enters the school reliquary and swipes a sword from it.
Danny heads towards the bathroom where the bloody baron. Told Danny he could find Moaning Myrtle.
Danny enters the bathroom and asks her for her story on how she died. After Moaning Myrtle explains her story. Danny looks around in the bathroom he finds a sink with a snake on it. Myrtle decides to bother the other Ghosts.
Danny knowing he is alone activates his watch. He transforms and then blasts a hole through the sink and finds the entrance to the chamber.
He enters it and after a while finds a massive door with a bunch of snakes on it he tears the door clean of the handle and tosses it aside.
He transforms back and enters the main chamber that is filled with statues of Giant snakeheads.
He finds Ginny lying unconscious on the floor. Danny says."Ginny, please be alright." A voice says."Ginny Weasley can't hear you" Danny says."I dont know who you are but let her go." The boy says."I can't do that you see while Ginny Weasley grows weaker. I grow stronger."
Danny asks."Why did you attack all of those students?" The boy smiles evilly and says."Because Mudbloods have always revolted me." Danny says."Your name implies Muggle parentage." The boy says."I refused to keep my filthy muggle father's name I fashioned myself a new name. One that wizards and witches would fear. When I became the greatest wizard of all time."
He then waves his hand holding Ginny's wand. And it changes his name from Tom Marvolo Riddle to Im lord Voldemort.
Danny says."Yeah, guess what Inbred? You're not the greatest wizard of all time. Dumbledore is a stronger wizard. And he has better followers than you. all your followers abandoned you the moment you lost. In all likeliness, they are happy to be rid of you."
Suddenly, they hear a bird cry and see a phoenix flying into the chamber.
Tom says."But now that you are here Daniel I can have my vengeance on you for stopping my return to power. Ginny Weasley told me everything all her pathetic hopes and Dreams and her greave over the death of Harry Potter." Danny says."Bring it, Inbred."
He begins talking in a strange language and the mouth of the statue opens Danny turns around and runs for it with the basilisk in pursuit.
Suddenly the Phoenix attacks the basilisk and blinds it. Danny asks the bird to take Ginny back to the castle who agrees and takes Ginny with him.
Danny heads into a Pipe and finds a side corridor. And aims the sword and waits. The basilisk slithers by and Danny rams the sword straight into the creature's eyes killing the snake instantly and he puts it into such an angle that the point of the snake comes out of the snake in the mouth of the basilisk."Remind me to thank Mom for the weapon training."
Danny heads into the chamber and Tom Riddle is shocked that Danny killed the basilisk. Danny grabs Tom Riddle and Punches him straight on the nose pushing Riddle back who is very weak. Danny sees the book and thinks back on Quirell and stabs the book several times. "Killing Tom Riddle."
Meanwhile, in the hospital wing Molly Weasley is crying that she lost her Daughter when Ginny wakes up and tells her mom to stop crying Molly is overjoyed to see her daughter alright. Hugs her and Ginny says that Danny somehow saved her. Danny walks back to the castle and by the entrance of the chamber is greeted by Dumbledore who compliments him on a job well done.
Dumbledore asks Danny to visit his office later. But for now, it's best if Madam Comfrey checks him for any injuries. Dumbledore says he will take care of Lockhart.
Danny enters the Hospital Wing and is greeted by an overjoyed Weasley family. Ginny begins stammering."Im sorry Danny I did not mean to it was Tom Riddle he made me do it honestly." Danny says."I know you were possessed, Ginny. The attacks are his fault, not yours." He hugs her and tells her to take it easy for the summer.
The twins dub Danny an honorary Weasley, with Arthur wholeheartedly agreeing with the sentiment. After Danny's checkup, he excuses himself saying he has to meet Professor Dumbledore.
After Danny leaves, Percy asks."We are terrible siblings, aren't we? We did not notice anything wrong with Ginny." Arthur says."Nobody noticed anything, Son. All that matters is that Ginny is saved."
Danny enters the Headmaster's office. Dumbledore says."First of all Daniel I would like to thank you. For saving the school but also for what happened in the chamber. You must have shown me great loyalty or respect nothing short of that can summon fawkes to you. Secondly, your actions saved the lives of an innocent girl and once again stopped the dark lord from rising again."
Danny places the book on the table and says."He tried using this, but I have no idea how it can summon him." Dumbledore says."I suspect he placed a part of his soul into the book as a failsafe." Danny asks."Like an anchor?" Dumbledore says."If my theory is correct, Daniel a perfect description."
They keep talking for a bit when Lucius Malfoy walks into the headmaster's office. With him is a small creature whom he abuses terribly. Lucius says."You worthless house elf I will deal with you later."
Lucius then asks what happened And Dumbledore explains and tells Lucius Malfoy off. who storms off and Danny asks for the diary and chases after Lucius he says."Hey froutloop, you forgot something." He gives him the diary and Lucius says."I dont know what you are talking about."
Lucius gives the book to the creature. Danny says."You slipped Ginny the diary. That day in the bookshop." Lucius says."Too bad you can't prove it." suddenly to Lucius' horror his voice repeats the statement. Danny says to the creature. open the book. the creature opens the book and says."Master has given Dobby a sock. Master has presented Dobby with clothes. Dobby is free."
Lucius pales when Danny grabs him by the throat. Danny says."If you dont resign from your position as governor I will send a copy to the Daily Prophet. Lucius Malfoy true death eater all along."
Lucius fumes but knows that Danny has him by the good wizard's orbs. And agrees to Danny's terms. Lucius storms off and Dobby is grateful and asks."Why did The Great Daniel Fenton save Dobby?" Danny replies."Freedom is the right of every sentient being."
The Next Day
the antidote is given to the victims and Both Hermoine and Justin thank Danny for saving them from the monster.
The year school year ends and once again Slytherin wins the house cup but Danny's dislike for Slytherin has grown into outright Hatred and has no desire to party with them or socialize with them.
On the train ride back the group of friends are talking and having a good time and they exchange plans for the summer.
on the platform in London to Danny's surprise, his parents pick him up. They hug him and tell him that they are flying home tomorrow.
Meanwhile in Wisconsin.
Vlad as Plasmius hears Lucius rant about how badly Danny had screwed him over and Vlad for his part is having trouble maintaining a straight natural face. Vlad thinks to himself."Oh, Little Badger, you have outdone yourself this time."
Vlad says."Im sure in time you can make a full comeback dear, Lucius. but for now, why dont you spend the extra time you have pursuing your passions?"
Lucius calms down and floos away.
Vlad bursts out in laughter and says."Oh, you dumb fool, Your suffering has only begun."
In London,
at a Lunchroom the Fentons are catching up when they are joined by the Grangers. Dan and Emma hug Danny and thank him for saving Hermoine, and Danny says he won't let anything happen to his best friend.
Hermoine Danny and Jazz are catching up. And Jazz is mad at Danny for not telling her that Hermoine was in trouble.
Dan, Emma, Jack, and Maddy are talking about the wizarding world and how strange they approach things. Dan for his part says he finds it strange that Arthur would attack Lucius while his daughter is in harm's way.
Maddy says."If my sister's wedding has taught me anything. is that most witches and Wizards lack common sense. But the Weasleys do seem like a good and loving family." Dan says."I agree, but I worry that the wizarding world will rub off on our children." Jack says."It's up to us to make sure that does not happen."
Danny having overheard everything tells them."Lucius and His group are responsible for the death of Molly's Brothers. And He nearly had their daughter killed. There is a lot of bad blood between them but he did feel shame for his actions later.
I think the Malfoys are just a very sore spot for Mr and Mrs Weasley. But I saw their grief when they thought they lost their daughter. They are good people. They just like the wizarding world are a bit behind."
Dan says."I had no idea but how come he is free and not in prison then?" Maddy says."The wizarding government is very corrupt. My sister's killers got away with it too. It does not surprise me at all."
after lunch Danny and hermoine promise to write to each other often.
End of Year two.
I dont like Chamber of secrets due to Lockhart. and the fact that Lucius Malfoy gets away scott-free.
