Transfiguration class.
Danny is paying more attention than ever. Today is a class he has been waiting for a long time. And McGonagall, true to form. Once again has no difficulty commanding a classroom.
McGonagall says."The Animagus is a Witch or Wizard that elects to change into an animal. What the Witch and Wizard change into Depends on many things. But it's believed that the main factor is personality. Allow me to demonstrate."

Danny raises his hand, and McGonagall says."Go ahead, Mr Fenton."
Danny says."Likes and dislikes also play a factor. For instance, someone who enjoys swimming and being near water might take a Water Animagus such as a fish or frog. While a witch or wizard who prefers flying might become a bird."
Danny continues."There is a fierce debate on whether an Animagus can become a magical creature such as a Phoenix or a Dragon. But through all Of recorded history. No such transformation is said to have taken place."
Danny finishes."The most noted Animagus users are Morgan le Fey And Falco Aesalon. Falco is the very first Animagi and Inventor. According to history books."
McGonagall says."Take ten well-deserved points for Slytherin, Mr Fenton."
After class, McGonagall asks Danny to stay behind. And she asks."You seemed prepared for this class, Mr Fenton. More than usual, I might Add."
Danny says."One or Both of My parents were Animagi, so I was wondering if." McGonagall says."I would be honored to guide you in connecting with your animal form. Professor Dumbledore did the same for me many years ago."
Danny says, surprised."Professor Dumbledore is an Animagus as well?" McGonagall says."No, he is not. However, Professor Dumbledore is an excellent instructor. Whos knowledge of transfiguration even surpasses mine."
Danny says."He must be if he can teach a technique. That he has not mastered himself."
McGonagall gives Danny a list of ingredients and tells him to bring those over this weekend. Danny says he will do that.
Danny asks the others to join him. But they prefer to pursue other forms of magic. Luna, however, is intrigued. And she asks if she can join him. Danny nods and tells her that she is welcome.
McGonagall agrees but makes it clear. That both must heed her instructions to the letter. One mistake and The transformation goes wrong. With horrible consquenses.
They both promise to do everything McGonagall tells them to do. McGonagall explains to Dumbledore, who says with a twinkle in his eyes."Well, Minerva, you finally get to teach the one class. You wanted to pass to a student for years. I do have a request." McGonagall asks."What is it, Albus?"
Dumbledore says."Would you mind if I joined you? I do miss teaching a lot." McGonagall smiles and says."Of course, Albus."
Hermoine and the others are disappointed That Danny won't be joining them. But they do understand why he has chosen to remain behind. Hermoine promises Danny that she will bring The stuff. Danny wants from the village. Danny waves them off and tells them to enjoy themselves.
On the way to the classroom, Danny and Luna are talking. And Luna explains, just like his parents. Her mother was an Animagus as well. Luna asks Danny what his parent's forms were. Danny says."I know my father was a stag." Luna says."My mom was a songbird."
They enter the classroom and are surprised to see Dumbledore there as well.
In the next few hours, Danny and Luna follow every instruction that McGonagall and Dumbledore give them. And Luna proves why she is a Ravenclaw.
After completing the potion after six hours, Dumbledore and McGonagall. Compliment both of them. McGonagall says."Miss Lovegood and Mr Fenton, I will contact you when it is time for the next step." Dumbledore adds."When Professor McGonagall summons you, wear loose clothing. You both did very well. And I award you ten points each."
The next Charm Class.
Danny, after class, after hearing about another Dementor incident. Danny decides to ask Flitwick how to deal with the dementors in a worst-case scenario. Flitwick says."That is very advanced Magic, Mr. Fenton. But You did master Advanced Magic before. And now that Professor Lupin is unavailable, I suppose I could give you a demonstration."
Flitwick gives him a piece of Parchment and says."The Spell im about to teach you is called the Patronus charm. To Do the Patronus charm, you must choose a Memory. That makes you very Happy."
Flitwick continues."Make the feeling engulf you from head to toe. And says the words. Expecto Patronum." Danny repeats the spell."Expecto Patronum." Flitwick pulls out his wand and shows him the spell. Flitwick explains."The non-corporeal Patronus takes the form of a shield. And the corporeal Patronus takes the shape of an animal. Most witches and Wizards are unable to cast a corporeal Patronus."
Danny Tries is but is only able. To make a bit of white smoke come out. Flitwick tells him to keep practicing. And that he is on the right path. He tells Danny."Mastering the Patronus could take months, years even. But to be able to make the spell do anything at all at the very first attempt is a testament to your potential. I'm curious to see just how far you will go."
Danny thanks Flitiwick for his advice, and Flitwick tells him not to fight a dementor. Unless he truly has no other choice. Flitwick Enforces the advice. That Dementors are among the foulest creatures known to the magical world.
Defense against the Dark Arts.
Lupin explains."Welcome, class. Now, can anyone tell me what a Boggart is?" Danny lifts his hand. And Lupin says."Go ahead, Mr Fenton." Danny says."Boggarts are shapeshifters who take the shape of the person's worst fear. That's why they are."
Lupin jumps in and says."So terrifying. Now, To drive off a Boggart, you need two things. The Spell is Ridiculous. And what defeats A Boggart is laughter. Now repeat the spell after me. Ridiculous." The class repeats the spell while Draco sneers."This class is Ridiculous."
Danny is first, and before the Boggart can take the form of Danny's biggest fear Danny casts."Ridiculous." And the Boggart turns into a monkey on a tricycle. That Causes most of the class to start laughing.
Lupin compliments him on using the spell correctly and asks Danny to stay behind after class.
after the class ends, Lupin asks."Why did you stop the Boggart before it finished transforming?" Danny says."I have no desire to have the deepest part of my soul bared in public. Professor." Lupin says."I can relate to that far better than I'm willing to admit."
Danny adds."I already faced the darkest aspects of my soul, and I have no desire to revisit it." Lupin asks."Have you already encountered a Boggart before? Danny says."No Professor. But I did face something similar. You have no idea what it's like to fear the insanity within. Good day, Professor." Danny walks off, and Lupin notes sadly."I understand far better than I'm willing to admit, Daniel."
Lupin decides at that moment to let his question go until Dumbledore's charm wears off.
Halloween.
Danny spends the entire month Practicing His Patronus charm. And His patience. Danny wants to complete his Animagus Transformation. He spends his free time hanging out with His friends. At night, He practices his Ghostpowers in the chamber.
And then after enjoying the Halloween celebration. The classes head back to their dorms. Suddenly, Snape runs in. And tells everyone to return to the great hall.
In the great hall, Danny finds Justin and asks."Hey Justin, do you know what is going on?" Justin replies."No idea, Danny, we arrived in the dorm room. When suddenly Sprout told us to return to the great hall."
Danny sees to his shock. The ravenclaws walk in next. Luna says."We finally have a giant sleepover. Is it not wonderful?" Danny smiles and says."I dont think the reason will be that wonderful."
Suddenly, the Gryffindors burst in. And Hermoine tells Danny."It was Sirius Black. He broke in and Attacked one of the paintings." Danny says."Did one of the Paintings show him what kind of a douce bag he was?" Hermoine says."No, you pratt. It was the painting of Gryffindor Tower."
Danny whispers."So He is Looking for me." Hermoine says."That would be a Likely assumption." Dumbledore waves his hand, And sleeping bags appear. and Dumbledore says."Tonight, you will sleep in the great hall while the staff searches the castle."
Danny quips."Dementors and A mass murderer, welcome to another fun-filled year at Hogwarts."
Danny and His friends find a quiet corner when suddenly Daphne and Tracy ask if they may join them. Danny says sure. And Daphne says."Thanks, I was getting sick of Malfoy." Danny asks."What did the Peacock do this week?" Ron says."Malfoy gives the rest of us a bad name." Daphne says."I know, right? Daphne Greengrass. Nice to meet you." Ron replies."Ron, Ron Weasley."
Tracy asks."Not afraid of a couple of snakes?" Ron says."Anyone who is friends with Danny can't be that bad. And we have so much in common." Danny replies."Yeah, We all have a Peacock allergy." Causing everyone to start laughing.
Danny says."Mabye we need to bring over Astoria as well." Daphne says."Speak of the devil, and she shall appear." Astoria Asks."Can I stay with you? im scared."
Danny says."Flitwick is a dueling champion, and Dumbledore is one of the most powerful wizards ever. Black might be nuts, but he is not suicidal."
And Hermoine adds."The rest of the staff is excellent, too." Danny quips."Except for Lockhart." Tracy says."Ugh, that creep was the worst." Daphne adds."What kind of teacher abandoned his students when they needed him the most." Danny says."Strangely, none of the Defence Professors seem to last longer than a year." Fred and George come over. And say."Our first-year Professor was mauled to death by a giant weasel."
Danny says."Okay, you're just making that one up." Ginny laughs and says."Oh no, they are not. We laughed for ages when we received that letter." Percy walks over and says."It's been like that for as long as I went to school here, and It was also the case for Charlie and Bill."
Danny says."What, so the position is cursed or something?" Percy says."That would explain why no teacher lasts longer than a year. And why they either die or are so humiliated that they have no choice but to quit. Now, try to get some sleep. Im sure everything is back to normal by the morning."
The following morning, Danny wakes up and asks Snape if he can go to the Slytherin Dungeon. Snape says."The staff found no sign of Black anywhere. The students are free to return. Danny walks to his room and Transforms.
He investigates the paintings. He asks the ghosts, who are all starstruck. After all, It's not every day that you get to meet the talk of the Ghostzone.
But His investigation comes up with nothing. And Danny has no choice but to let it go for now.
In the next month, Danny wins his first match of the season but loses his Nimbus while saving another student from a dementor.
At the end of November. On a stormy night. Danny heads to McGonagall's office along with Luna.
McGonagall tells them the spell. And Dumbledore tells them to think of nothing but their upcoming transformation.
Danny And Luna do as McGonagall instructs. And after a while, she tells them to drink the potion.
Danny transforms, and McGonagall says."That is the most Majestic Animal form I have ever seen." Danny has Transformed into a beautiful White Tiger. Suddenly, a songbird lands on Danny's head. And Luna has completed her transformation as well.
Dumbledore compliments them and McGonagall on a job well done. And Dumbledore gives both of them another ten points.
The next day, Danny walks outside and Hears an argument between Ron and Hermoine.
"Im warning you now, Hermoine, if you can't control that murdering Furball. I will turn it into a teapot." hermoine says."It's a cat, Ronald. What did you expect? Just Ignore the cranky boy Crookshanks."
Daphne walks up to Danny and asks."Is that a regular thing?" Danny says."You caught them at a good week."
