It's almost Christmas again. Vlad, true to his word, Has returned and Put Danny to the Wringer. Vlad has begun to instruct Danny on how to Duplicate Himself. Vlad says he will pick him and Hermoine up next week to spend Christmas at the Fenton's.
Hermoine is glad to be able to spend time again with Jazz. And to get away from Ron. On the day, however, she has great difficulty taking Crookshanks with her. She asks Danny to transform and Asks Crookshanks why he refuses to come along.
Danny Transforms into his animal form and, after talking with Crookshanks, says."Okay, that was weird." Hermoine asks."What's wrong, Danny?" Danny replies."Crookshanks promised to Help the Dog kill the Rat." Hermoine asks."Why would a dog want to kill Ron's Rat?" Danny says he has no idea. But the train awaits.
Danny tells Crookshanks that he can keep his promise after Christmas. Crookshanks calms down and goes in Hermoine's travel basket.
Danny and Hermoine are talking about the things. They want to go to Londen for Christmas. And the movies they want to see. Danny, for his part, can't shake the feeling there is more to Crookshanks's story than meets the eye. But he has to wait until school to ask Crookshanks what he means.
At Kings Cross, Maddy, Jack, and Vlad wait for them. And Maddy says."Im sorry that your parents had to go to that convention. But we hope you have a great time with us instead." Hermoine replies."Im sure that I will thank you for having me over, Mrs. Fenton."
Maddy says."Anytime Dear. After all, you and your family were most gracious hosts to Danny." Hermoine turns red and says." Me, I mean, we like having Danny around." Danny says."I like having you around, too."
Maddy says."We better get out of here before the weather turns." Hermoine, for her part, is shocked that Danny's mysterious uncle and Godfather is none other than Billionaire Vlad Masters.
At Vlad's English mansion, Jack advises Danny to tell Hermoine his final secret. Danny says."I guess I put it off for as long as I could." Jack says."Im sure you can trust her Son." Danny says."I will tell her tonight."
That night, after everyone retires, Danny asks Hermoine to stay behind. Rather than to say anything, He presses his watch and Transforms.
Hermoine smiles and says."I already knew that for like two years." Danny asks."How?" Hermoine says."That night in the trophy room, I recognized your handwriting. That's why I asked you who it might be." Danny says."Why did you not say anything?"
Hermoine says."I assumed you were not ready to share it. That's why I was so surprised to hear about Your Birthname instead. I thought you were going to tell me that you were Ghostboy." Danny says, ashamed."I guess I have not been honest at all."
Hermoine says."You barely knew me at the time. And I kept the time turner hidden from you as well." Danny asks."No more secrets?" Hermoine smiles and says."No more Secrets." They hug for a long while. And, unknown to the other, both are blushing.
On Christmas Day, Hermoine calls with Her Parents. And After opening most Presents. To Everyone's shock, there is a brand new Broomstick. Hermoine says."That's a Firebolt. I wonder who sent it. It has no card." Danny asks his Parents and Uncle if they buy it, And they all shake their heads.
Hermoine and Danny look at each other. And at the same time, say."Sirius Black." Danny asks."Did it arrive by owl?" Jack confirms that it did. Danny activates his watch and transforms into his Ghostmode. Hermoine says."Danny, wait, there is another way." Danny asks."What do you mean?"
Jazz says."Have the school check it for Curses and Jinxes." Danny writes a note to Dumbledore telling him that the broomstick had no note and that he and his family are worried Due to the last incident with his broomstick. He sends Hedwig with the firebolt that very night.
A few days later, Dumbledore writes back and says."The staff will check it out. Dumbledore writes that he made the correct decision To contact the school. He also tells Danny to pass his compliments to Miss Granger. Who has undoubtedly played a part in his decision."
Hermoine beams at the headmaster's compliment and says."It will be fine, Danny." Danny says."No, it won't. He knows who I am." Jazz pales and says."I did not think about that one."
Vlad whispers."In this case, Little Badger extreme measures are allowed. And do not worry, I keep our family safe." Vlad and Danny agree that if Sirius Darkens their doorstep, Either Danny or Vlad will take Sirius out One way or the other.
Hermoine says while hugging Danny."Promise me you won't do anything rash." Danny says."My opinion remains the same. I will not seek him out. But I will take him out if he attacks my friends or family." Hermoine says."I hope it won't come to that." Danny says softly."Yeah, me too."
Danny and Hermoine return to school. In the next few months, Danny trains his Patronus charm. And then it is Valentine's Day.
Hermoine calls Danny in the middle of the night. She says."It's Sirius. He is in Gryffindor Tower. And he has a knife."
Danny says."It seems I no longer have a choice." He activates his watch and takes it off. "Im going, Ghost." He transforms into his ghost form. And Flies straight into Gryffindor Tower. He lands behind Hermoine, who is relieved to see him. And Danny tells her to contact either Dumbledore or McGonagall.
Hermoine runs off. Danny finds Sirius with his knife drawn. And Sirius heads towards Ron. Danny is not taking any chances. He Grabs Sirius and Pulls him to the courtyard.
Sirius has no idea why he is suddenly in the courtyard and sees across from him. A young Silver-haired boy with A Mask, Sirius, says that Halloween was a few months ago. Danny tells him."Surrender or Die." Sirius laughs and says."Get out of my way. Only the Rat has to die." Danny asks."Why do you want to Kill him?" Sirius says."Because he deserves it."
Danny says."I can't let you do that." Sirius says."Get out of my way, Brat." Danny replies."Make me." Sirius takes a fighting stance and says."So be it." Sirius is caught off guard by both Danny's raw power and ferocity.
Danny slaps Sirius around. Sirius has no idea what is happening, only that he stumbled into the fight of a lifetime.
Meanwhile, one of the two-robed individuals says."We need to intervene before they kill each other." The second one replies."Not yet."
Danny finally pins down Sirius and says."It's time to pay for what you did to my parents, Bastard." Sirius replies."I have no idea who you are, kid." Danny transforms back into his human form. And Sirius asks, shocked."Harry?" Danny says."Bingo froutloop."
Danny transforms back into his ghost mode, and Sirius says with tears in his eyes."Do it, Harry. I deserve it. Just do me one favor. Kill Pettigrew. Kill the Rat." Danny is about to bash Sirius's face in. When he suddenly remembers his odd conversation with Crookshanks.
Danny says."You have five minutes. Explain." Sirius tells him."I had the idea to exchange places with Peter, not knowing he went over to Voldemort." Danny says."Peter is dead. all they found was a." Danny suddenly says."Scabbers." Sirius nods and says."We used to call him Wormtail."
Danny says."Leave now. I told someone to put the castle on High alert. They can be here at any moment." Sirius replies."Meet me at the shrieking shack later. I can explain more in detail." Danny replies."I'm not sure if I trust you yet." Sirius replies."All I ask for is a chance to explain." Danny says."Very well, I meet you as soon as Im able." Sirius transforms into his dog form and runs off.
Danny Slips back into his room and meets Hermoine. Who tells him that they found no trace of Sirius. Danny tells her that new information has come up and that His parent's murder might not be what it seems. Hermoine tells him to be very careful.
In the Shrieking shack a few hours later.
Danny says."Okay, you have my attention, explain." Sirius says."When the war reached its peak, Voldemort himself decided to kill your parents. Dumbledore found out and suggested that they hide under the Fidelius charm. Only I had the idea to switch with Peter as I would be the most logical choice. And therefore the target."
Danny says."But In trusting Peter, you and my parents were set up for failure." Danny then asks."What about Professor Lupin? How does he fit into all of this?" Sirius says."I believed in error that he was the traitor Harry." "And I believed the same thing of you." Danny and Sirius see Lupin standing in front of them.
Sirius and Lupin apologize to each other. And Lupin says it's nice to see you again, Harry. Danny apologizes for keeping him at arm's length, but Lupin replies."All you did was Honor Lily and James' sacrifice, Harry. Logically, you would keep your distance from your family's old friends." Sirius says."Now, all that needs to be done is to kill that Rat."
Danny says."We can't. We need him alive to prove your innocence." Sirius snorts and says."You had no Problems hurting me, Harry." Danny says."It seemed you were about to stab one of my best friends. Remember the knife?" Sirius laughs and says."Yes, I can see now why that looked guilty in your eyes."
Danny snorts and says."And dont get me started on the explanation you gave me, either. But I am sorry for almost." Sirius cuts in and says."Tearing my head off? You dont have to apologize for fighting for your friends, Harry." Lupin says."For what it's worth, Harry. Lily and James would have been proud of you."
Danny says."One more thing." Lupin says."I know I will call you Mr Fenton." Sirius says."Im Happy you ended up with Jack and Maddy instead of Petunia." Danny says."I have to tell them, or else they might shoot you." Sirius laughs and says."Im more worried Maddy will beat me up. Do you remember what she did to Snivellus Remus?"
Lupin replies, laughing."Well, he broke into her sister's room. How well would you take it? But that aunt of yours. Harry is a force of nature."
Danny says."he broke into my mother's room?" Lupin says."No Petunia's room." Danny asks."I find it hard to believe my grandparents would allow him back into the house after that." Sirius says."Not long after, Lily and Snape had a falling out."
Danny says."You need to lay low for a while, Sirius." Lupin laughs and says."You're asking the impossible here, Harry." Sirius says."I will do my best, but I can promise no more than that." Lupin then asks."How can you control your werewolf, Harry?" Danny replies."Im not a werewolf, but im not entirely human either." Danny transforms and says."Im half Human/ Half ghost."
Sirius says."That explains why you're able to hit Like Hagrid." Danny says."You must have pissed him off for him to hit you." Lupin says."Too much Firewiskey will do that." Sirius and Lupin make an Unbreakable vow Not to reveal Danny's Hybrid status to anyone. Danny tells them the list of people that know.
One day near the end of the year, Ron is trying to fend off Crookshanks, And Danny, seeing an opportunity, says."Ron, Im open." Ron replies."Thanks, mate." and throws him Scabbers. Remus, knowing what Danny is planning, gets ready.
Danny catches Scabbers and throws him in the air, And Remus casts. The Animagus turn back to human spell. Dumbledore and the rest of the staff are shocked that Peter Pettigrew is alive. And they capture him immediately.
Later, in the presence of The Minister and Amelia Bones, Snape feeds him Veritaserum. And after questioning him, Sirius is exonerated. And Sirius walks in and smiles, finally a free man again."
But Then the Dementors revolt.
