"Liam," Ace drops her voice as she lets her brother in. Liam takes out a bottle of wine.

"I have work in the morning Liam, and why did you go over to Graham's last night?"

"He told you?"

"Graham came by with lunch for Nyssa and I like he usually does." Ace moves to grab the sentiment off the table.

"I just want you to be happy Dorothy."

"I am the big sister though, I am the one that is supposed to be the protective one."

Liam spots the flowers and smiles, "where did you get those?" He watches as Ace tries to hide a smile, "so he made a move?"

"Liam," Ace warns, "if and when it happens it will be between Graham and I and not nosey family members."

"It will happen sister of mine, I may have only seen the two of you together once, but the connection is too strong." He gestures to the flowers, "did it come with a card?" Ace tries to hide a smile but fails epically, "I guess the flowers did."

"And what it said is none of your business."

"Are the two of you going to go on a date?" Ace shrugs. "Are you planning to kiss him again?"

"Not if there are spies," Ace narrows her eyes, "as you say," Ace smiles at the thought, "when the date happens, it will be between just him and I, and not any of you."

"You acknowledge that you want to date him then?"

"Of course I do Liam, but it will happen on our own terms, not three busybodies."

"You are really not happy with me aren't you?"

"Liam, you know my history, and how there have been multiple to play mind games on me."

"The main thing different between then and now, is that we are more concerned for your happiness."

"Liam I am happy when was the last time you saw me and I wasn't?"

"It has been a while, but the times I have seen you were not happy scared me."

"Liam it has been over a decade since everything happened with Paul."

"I am not only talking about Paul," Liam looks straight to where she has her jacket hung up.

"You are talking about the Doctor aren't you?"

"I am, when he dropped you off at my place, how he knew where I lived at the time; I don't know."

"He's the Doctor, I have made my piece with it all, you should too."

"You locked yourself in a room for a month."

"I was seething Liam, I didn't want to hurt anyone."

"I'm your brother."

"My little brother, why in the world would I want to hurt you; you are the last person that I want to hurt, I love you." Ace gets her voice sugary sweet.

"Dorothy."

"What."

"Are you still angry at me for going to Graham?"

"I am, but I can see where you are coming from. Just don't ever do it again. If Graham comes to you it's ok."

"Why is it ok for him to come to me, but me not go to him?"

"He does have a few guy friends, but I have a horrible feeling after Saturday night his circle is going to shrink." Ace slaps her forehead, "I didn't tell him I like him back. Why does this feel like high school?"

"You haven't been in a real relationship in years, Dorothy."

"Don't remind me, you know I have trust issues, the only people on earth that know almost everything about are you, Tegan, Nyssa and now Graham is getting there."

"Dorothy."

"Liam."

"We are not our parents."

"I know, we are actually successful, you, a therapist and me, well with A Charitable Earth."

"You also have traveled more than both of them put together."

"I will never cheat on someone I love, unlike mum. Today while talking Graham knew when I was thinking of mum. If I am honest it scared me that he knew what I was thinking." Liam and Ace sit back on the couch, "I wish I knew how he knew what I was thinking."

"He likes you a lot Dorothy."

"I am starting to see that now."

"Starting!?" Liam faces Ace, "I could see that from the moment I met him."

Ace pushes his shoulder, "that was just a few nights ago."

"And whose fault was that, you were keeping your boyfriend from me."

"He isn't my boyfriend Liam; he is one of my best friends."

"Yet, he will be one soon."

"How do you know; we could go on one date and it could be a disaster."

"Or it could be the best date you have been on and end up in a kiss."

Ace blushes thinking of a kiss with Graham. "It could."

"You're blushing?" Liam teases Ace.

"I'm not."

"You are redder than I have ever seen you. How was the imaginary kiss?"

"Liam, stop it," Ace laughs.

"Never," Liam says in a gravelly voice.

"My god Liam," Ace runs her hand over her face.

"I have to, you know that right, I am your little brother after all."

"And don't you forget that," Ace has a smile growing on her face.

"What is that face for?"

"Oh just remember payback is a bitch, and with what you have been pulling with Graham and I."

"I am happy to be me."

"Like I am, then Kate needed my help, and in addition the Professor needed my help and I went into a volcano to blow up Daleks and I met a man who doesn't know who I am, and it was a nice change of pace."

"Did you know who he was?"

"I had a feeling he knew the Doctor with the psychic paper and knew who the Daleks were."

"So you had the upper hand?"

"Or bat," Ace smiles.

"You and that bat."

"Tegan says the same thing."

"The two people you are the closest to speak about the bat."

"One day Graham will be the closest."

"I know, I can see that he is already becoming one of us."

"He and I have been talking multiple times a day for 6 months."

"I know, you tell me some of the things you two talk about."

"Not everything, some things will stay between him and I."

"I know that."

"There have been times that he and I stayed up talking until 3 in the morning. Speaking of late nights, Liam, I am getting tired and need to sleep."

"Ok, good night sis," Liam and Ace get off the couch, Ace walks him to the door she can lock up, they embrace before he leaves.

"Good night Liam, and stop butting in my love life." With that Ace shuts and locks the door then goes to bed.
