"In a cell of cold despair, we found you,

Defiant, unyielding, and all too true.

You, the intruder, a mysterious stranger,

Challenging our might, not showing danger."

"We sought to intimidate, to make you cower,

But your defiance only grew, your power.

Words, both sharp and charming, did you use,

Turning anger to fluster, our egos to bruise."

"You found a way past my fiery temper's gate,

Turning tantrums into humor, making me wait.

'Your rage is cute,' you dared to say,

Leaving me flustered in the cell's gray."

"You spoke your name and secrets in that room,

Unveiling your origins, a tale of gloom.

Though captives, we became friends in the end,

Your story, a twist we didn't expect to attend."

"So, in this prison where secrets did unfurl,

A connection sparked in the midst of this whirl.

Relaying your tale to Yhwach, we'll seek the way,

To converse with you again, come what may."

- Bambietta Basterbine -

In a dimly lit cell resides Ben, bound by chains on his arms and legs connected to a cold stone slab that his back was rested on. As his eyes began to flutter weakly while he slowly regained consciousness, Ben would take in his unfamiliar surroundings, intently observing the walls adorned in symbols of the Qunicy and the lack of any furniture in his cell. The cold metal of chains binding his arms and legs, and a momentary disorientation clouded Ben's senses. As his vision cleared further, he took in the somber atmosphere of his confinement.

The air was heavy, with a palpable tension lingering as Ben's eyes narrowed in assessment of the current situation, a spark of determination cutting through any initial confusion. Despite the chains that weighed him down, there existed a steely resolve in his gaze, a silent acknowledgment that he won't be easily subdued.

Chapter 2: Awakening In The Wandenreich

As the cell door creaks open, five figures step inside. The first to enter with a haughty demeanor is Bambietta Basterbine, She sneers at Ben, Her warm brown eyes studying him.

Following her is Giselle Gewelle, the enigmatic Sternritter known for her unsettling appearance, with her pale skin and icy blue eyes giving her an eerie presence. She giggles softly as she looks at Ben.

Candice Catnipp, the fiery and impulsive Sternritter, strides in next, her electric green hair crackling with energy. She smirks at Ben, eager for the encounter.

Meninas McAllon, the tall and somewhat imposing Sternritter , fills the doorway with her slender build. Her arms are crossed, and she sizes up Ben with a challenging stare.

Finally, Liltotto Lamperd, the calculating and cunning Sternritter, enters. She keeps her gaze fixed on Ben, her sharp mind at work.

Bambietta is the first to speak, her voice dripping with malice. "Well, well, what have we here? Another intruder in our sanctuary?"

Ben doesn't immediately respond as he looks at the Bambi's warily, but forms a small smile when he does. "I'm pretty sure this intruder can't currently do anything right now."

Bambietta raises an eyebrow at Ben's remark. "Oh, how cheeky," she says with a sly grin. "But that doesn't mean we can't have some fun with you." She takes a step closer, her left hand glowing with reishi.

Giselle leans in closer, her unsettling gaze locked onto Ben. "You smell interesting," she murmurs, her voice laced with a hint of madness.

Candice sparks some electricity between her fingertips of her right hand, crackling with energy. "You must be really brave or really stupid to have come all the way out here alone," She taunts.

Meninas crosses her arms and chuckles. "I don't think you're in a position to be cocky," She says, a hint of amusement in her voice.

Liltotto remains silent, observing Ben with an inscrutable expression.

Ben felt a palpable sense of dread from the Bambi's radiating malice towards him. But in spite of that, his outward expression remained composed, evident with a small smile still playing on his lips. "Some would say I'm both. Doesn't matter either way though." He snickered slightly at Candice.

"You think so? After all, as I recall, you only beat me because you had help from all your friends. Plus all of this is practically normal to me compared to all the stuff I've been through." He said to Meninas with a slightly bigger smile.

Bambietta's glowing hand flares with energy, and she takes a threatening step closer to Ben. "You're quite the talker, aren't you? Let's see if you can keep that attitude when things get rough."

Giselle's smile widens as she inches even closer to Ben. "Rough, huh? That sounds like fun."

Candice clenches her electrified fists, ready for a challenge. "Don't underestimate us."

Meninas smirks and unfolds her arms. "You've got spirit, I'll give you that."

Liltotto finally speaks, her voice cold and calculating. "Enough chit-chat. We have our orders, and you're not leaving this place without answers."

"And here I thought you were going to let them attack me. What's the matter, did you suddenly get cold feet?" Smiled Ben at Liltotto, his tone taunting.

Liltotto's expression remains composed, unfazed by Ben's taunts. "I don't waste my energy on trivial matters. We have more important questions to ask you." She replies calmly, her tone holding an undertone of disinterest.

Bambietta growls in frustration, her hand still charged with energy. "Enough talk. We'll get the answers one way or another." The other Bambis nod in agreement.

"Must be some answers you're looking for if you could hold yourself back for even a second from trying to blow me up to next tuesday." Snickered Ben slightly at Bambietta, reflecting on their initial encounter.

Bambietta's patience is wearing thin, and she clenches her hand tightly, causing the energy to sizzle. "You've got a lot of nerve," she mutters.

Giselle leans closer to Ben, her eerie gaze unwavering. "We'll make you talk, one way or another. We can be very persuasive."

Candice smirks and cracks her knuckles, the electric sparks intensifying. "And it won't go like last time. Bet on it."

Meninas takes a step forward, her imposing presence looming over Ben. "You're in way over your head."

Liltotto, still focused on the task at hand, speaks firmly. "We'll find out what you know. It's only a matter of time."

For a brief moment, Ben would be gripped a trace of anxiety but his outwardly expression concealed it very incredibly well as he grinned at the Bambis, especially Meninas. "Do you know how many bad guys have told me that? All of them. Do you know how many of them I've taken down? All of them."

The Bambis exchange glances, clearly unimpressed by Ben's bravado. Bambietta, however, can't hold back her annoyance any longer. She releases the charged energy in her hand, creating a small explosion in the cell to make a point.

Giselle giggles at the spectacle, finding it amusing. Candice rolls her eyes, while Meninas remains unfazed.

Liltotto narrows her eyes, irritated by Ben's confidence. "Your bravado won't shield you from the questions we have. You'd do well to remember that."

"And what would that be, short stuff?" Ben asked Liltotto with a grin, his tone cocky, paying no mind to Bambietta's display.

Liltotto's eyes flash with annoyance, and she retorts with a cool demeanor, "Overconfidence is often the downfall of fools. Save your bravado, you damn nuisance."

The Bambis share a knowing look, their collective determination unwavering. They're clearly prepared to use whatever means necessary to achieve their goals and extract the information they seek from Ben.

"You're more than welcome to try and knock it down a peg or two, but you'll find I'm not so easily broken. When you've been on the job as long as I have, not much stuff surprises you anymore. It just becomes amusing." Said Ben in general to the Bambis while still grinning, his overall countenance growing with confidence.

The Bambis exchanged glances, some of them clearly growing more frustrated by Ben's confidence. Bambietta's irritation is palpable as she clenches her fists. Giselle, on the other hand, seems to find Ben's bravado entertaining and giggles softly.

Candice rolls her eyes, Meninas maintains her stoic demeanor, and Liltotto continues to observe Ben closely, her mind calculating the best approach.

The tension in the cell remains high, as it seems Ben and the Bambis are locked in a battle of wits and wills.

Ben's grin would widen at the ensuing silence. "Looks like we've got ourselves a stalemate. You girls reconsidering your decisions yet?"

The Bambis remained unyielding, their resolve unwavering. Bambietta's frustration is evident, but she refrains from any immediate action, unwilling to give in to Ben's taunts. Giselle still finds the situation amusing and chuckles softly.

Candice narrows her eyes, Meninas remains unfazed, and Liltotto finally speaks, her annoyance deepening as she replies sharply, "Don't mistake silence for weakness. Your fate is sealed, whether you realize it or not. We'll see who breaks first before the inevitable happens."

The standoff continued, with both sides unwilling to concede any ground in this tense encounter.

"Of which I'm sure it'll definitely be you guys later on. But don't let it get that far on my account, you could spill the beans here and you'd be good to go." Grinned Ben with his eyes narrowed mischievously.

The Bambis seem unswayed by Ben's attempts to provoke them. Bambietta, however, finally decides to respond with a hint of annoyance. "We won't be so easily tricked, Tennyson. We have our orders, and we'll follow them to the end."

Giselle giggles again, clearly enjoying the back-and-forth banter.

Candice rolls her eyes and crackles her fingers with electric energy, and Meninas merely watches, waiting for developments.

Liltotto, the most composed of the group, maintains her focus on the task at hand, determined to extract the information they need, the tension in the cell remaining palpable.

"Do your orders involve moving around in a clique trying to jump a defenseless guy because you can't get the job done yourself?" Ben asked Bambietta tauntingly. "That's it, isn't it?" A chuckle of amusement would escape his lips. "No wonder you're the first one I beat."

Bambietta's face contorts with a mix of anger and frustration at Ben's taunts. She clenches her fists tightly, her energy flaring once more, ready to take action.

Giselle finds the situation increasingly amusing and lets out a gleeful laugh.

Candice shakes her head in exasperation, while Meninas maintains her stoic demeanor.

Liltotto, however, remains focused on the task, her patience running thin. "Enough of this," she says firmly, addressing her fellow Bambis. "We'll get what we need from him one way or another."

"You keep saying that but don't even say what you mean by that. Are you all really this bad at your jobs?" Yawned Ben at Liltotto, unimpressed.

Liltotto's patience is visibly wearing thin, and she responds sharply. "We're not here for games, smartass. Your defiance won't save you from what's to come."

The other Bambis share a look, their collective frustration evident. Bambietta is especially agitated, her energy glowing even brighter.

Giselle, still finding Ben's behavior amusing, continues to giggle softly.

Candice grumbles, and Meninas remains silent, but the tension in the cell continues to mount, the standoff between Ben and the Bambis becoming increasingly volatile.

"Some would say it's one of my best qualities. It's saved me dozens of times before, and I fail to see how that'd stop now." Chuckled Ben.

Liltotto's frustration becomes more pronounced, and she responds tersely, "We'll see. You're not the first to underestimate us, wise guy."

Bambietta, no longer able to contain herself, releases her charged energy in another small explosion within the cell to make her point, with this one resulting in a shockwave that rocked the room.

Giselle laughs with glee at the display of power, while Candice and Meninas remain prepared for any developments.

The tension in the cell reaches its peak as the Bambis grow increasingly determined to extract information from Ben by any means necessary.

Ben's eyes widened slightly as he let out a low whistle at Bambietta's tantrum. "Someone's mad. Thought it's kinda hard to take you seriously since you look cute, even when you're mad too." Ben winked at her playfully.

Bambietta's anger is palpable, but she's taken aback by Ben's playful compliment. Her stern expression wavers, and she seems momentarily flustered.

Giselle giggles again, finding the situation even more amusing. "This is getting interesting," she says with a dark undertone.

Candice smirks, while Meninas raises an eyebrow at the unexpected turn of events.

Liltotto finally intervenes, her voice firm. "Enough games, Bambietta. We have a mission to complete." She directs her attention back to Ben. "This conversation is over. We'll get the information we need one way or another, smart mouth."

"Awwww, and we were just getting to the good part too." Whined Ben playfully at Liltotto with a smirk.

Liltotto remains unfazed by Ben's playful antics, her focus firmly on the task at hand. "Your attempts to stall won't change the outcome, smart ass." she states with determination.

Bambietta, however, regains her composure and narrows her eyes at Ben, her irritation returning. Giselle, on the other hand, is still amused by the exchange, her eerie laughter continuing.

"You think I'm stalling?" Began Ben with a chuckle. "You come to my cell asking for answers yet you can't even say what you want answers to, and instead try to do what I'm assuming is make me quake in my boots and spill those answers to you. Seriously, is this your first time doing any of this? Gotta say, you really suck at this." Ben would let out a fake sign of dissapointment.

Liltotto's patience appears to be stretched to its limit as she responds with a hint of frustration, "We have our questions, you shape-shifting asshole, and we'll get the answers. Whether you cooperate willingly or not, it doesn't matter. We'll find a way, damn it."

Bambietta, despite her earlier flustered moment, regains her composure and directs a cold glare at Ben. Giselle continues to find the situation entertaining, while Candice and Meninas prepare to move forward with their mission.

Ben would nod at Liltotto mockingly "Mmmhmm. Yeah. Ok. So... never?" Smirked Ben.

Liltotto's annoyance is evident as she responds curtly, "We have our ways. You'll find out soon enough, jerk."

Bambietta, done with any semblance of playfulness, narrows her eyes at Ben, her reishi once again charging in her hand. Giselle's eerie laughter subsides, while Candice and Meninas remain prepared for the next steps.

The Bambis are resolute in their mission, ready to proceed with their attempts to extract information from Ben. The tension in the cell remains high.

"I'm looking forward to it." Said Ben with amusement, his gaze fixated on Bambietta as he's curious to see what she'll do.

Bambietta meets Ben's gaze with a cold, determined expression. She appears ready to take action, her left hand charged with reishi. at the ready.

Giselle watches the interaction with interest, while Candice, Liltotto and Meninas remained focused and prepared.

A countenance that stood in stark contrast to Ben's, as his was calm, almost as if unbothered by the hostility directed at him, evident by him smiling in amusement.

Ben would then let out a loud sigh, with an evident expression of boredom and dissapointment on his face. "Are you guys going to do something or not?"

The Bambis exchange a glance, their collective determination unwavering. Bambietta finally decides to take action, her charged reishi flaring as she steps closer to Ben.

Giselle giggles softly, clearly finding the situation entertaining, while Candice, Liltotto and Meninas maintained their focus.

The standoff reaches a critical point as it seems the Bambis are ready to proceed with their mission, regardless of Ben's taunts and defiance. The tension in the cell poised to escalate further.

Ben would look at Bambietta, specifically her reishi charged left hand, with a raised eyebrow, his curiosity piqued as he observed it ebb and flow with power. "Oh this looks like it could be interesting."

Bambietta takes another step closer to Ben, her reishi crackling and her gaze fixed on him. She's clearly ready to take action, and her intent was clear.

Giselle's laughter subsides, and she watches the impending confrontation with eager interest. Candice, Liltotto and Meninas remained prepared for what's to come.

The tense standoff between Ben and Bambietta continues, each of them locked in a gaze, their expressions reflecting the imminent confrontation. The cell is filled with an eerie silence, and the atmosphere is palpable with the anticipation of what's about to unfold.

"Anytime now, lady." Smiled Ben.

Bambietta's resolve hardened, and she raised her left hand, ready to unleash her charged reishi. The room brims with tension as the standoff reaches its climax. The next moments were crucial, and the outcome hanged in the balance.

Ben's seemingly unflinching demeanor would shift into a gaze of evident curiosity born from noticing, albeit briefly a hint of hesitation in Bambietta's piercing gaze.

Curious as to why it existed.

Curious as to what he could do about it.

And upon pondering more on the latter, Ben would settle on a decision that admittedly might have been a tad reckless, even for him, could definitely tip the scales in his favor in a way that neither of the Bambis would be able to see coming.

He just had to play his cards right.

With a playful smirk directed at Bambietta, Ben would say the following "Are you thinking of doing something to me with that or not?" Said Ben, referring to her reishi charged left hand. "If so, do tell, I am definitely curious. But if it's a kiss, I'll have to say no. I make it a rule not to kiss in any way, shape or form unless we've gone on our first date at least."

Bambietta's expression shifts from anger to a mix of surprise and annoyance at Ben's unexpected comment. She lowers her charged hand, momentarily taken aback.

Giselle, however, lets out a giggle, seemingly finding Ben's remark amusing. Candice rolls her eyes, Meninas raises an eyebrow and Liltotto rolls her eyes at his comment, showing clear annoyance with his antics.

The tension in the cell eases slightly as Ben's playful comment momentarily diffuses the situation, albeit briefly. How things evolve from here, and what it could mean for Ben wasn't yet set in stone.

"Come on, don't give me the silent treatment. You're only going to get me all excited. At least tell me your name." Whined Ben with a playful smile.

Bambietta's annoyance returns, and she crosses her arms, clearly not in the mood for Ben's flirtatious banter. "I'm Bambietta Basterbine." She replied with a hint of irritation.

Giselle, despite Bambietta's reaction, still finds the exchange entertaining and continues to watch with interest. Candice rolls her eyes, and Meninas remains stoic. Liltotto's eyes narrow as she observes Ben's flirtatious banter, displaying growing irritation at his attempts to engage with Bambietta.

The cell remains tense, but Ben's attempt to lighten the mood with some playful banter seems to have had at least a small effect on Bambietta.

"There you go. Now was that so hard?" Grinned Ben.

Bambietta huffs in annoyance but doesn't respond further, her patience running thin.

Giselle continues to watch the interaction with a curious fascination, while Candice and Meninas remain prepared for any developments. Liltotto, witnessing Bambietta's annoyance, narrows her eyes with a touch of irritation. She remains focused on the task at hand, her patience seemingly stretched thin by Ben's banter.

"I'm Ben Tennyson. And gotta say, you have a pretty distinct name, kinda cool." Smiled Ben playfully with a hint of sincerity.

Bambietta's irritation is still evident, but she can't help but show a hint of surprise at Ben's friendly comment. "Well, aren't you a charmer," She replies, her tone softening just a bit.

Giselle finds the unexpected turn of events even more amusing and giggles once more. Candice and Meninas remain focused on the situation. Liltotto, though maintaining a composed exterior, subtly rolls her eyes at the unexpected flirtatious turn in the conversation, displaying a mild annoyance. She continues to observe the interaction with a certain level of impatience, waiting for the conversation to return to more serious matters.

"I find it as easy as it is to breathe. It kinda comes naturally. Now Bambi. Can I call you Bambi?" Asked Ben with a grin.

Bambietta's annoyance seems to dissipate further as she lets out a small sigh. "I guess you can," She says, seemingly resigned to the nickname.

Giselle's amusement at the situation only grows, while Candice and Meninas watch the interaction with varying levels of interest. Liltotto raises an eyebrow at the exchange, her expression remaining unchanged, but there's a subtle hint of disapproval in her gaze as she observes the playful banter. She seems unimpressed with the informal turn the conversation has taken, silently urging for a return to more serious matters.

"Awesome. You can call me Ben if you want." Snickered Ben with amusement, his grin widening.

Bambietta's initial hostility seems to have given way to a begrudging acceptance of the more friendly tone. "Alright, Ben, let's not waste any more time," she says with a hint of impatience.

Giselle continues to observe the situation with a hint of fascination, while Candice and Meninas remain ready for developments. Liltotto maintains her composed exterior, but there's a subtle furrow of her brow, suggesting a growing impatience with the direction the conversation is taking. Her focus remains on the task at hand, and she seems less interested in the informal exchange.

Ben smiled at Bambietta with a hint of warmth that strongly contrasted with what one would expect him to convey given his current situation. "If you mean getting to know each other better, sure. Think you could tell me more about yourself? I'd be down to tell you more about me." He winked.

Bambietta raises an eyebrow at Ben's suggestion, her curiosity piqued. "You're quite the character, aren't you?" she remarks, her tone less hostile than before.

Giselle continued to watch the interaction with interest, while Candice and Meninas remained prepared for any shifts in the situation. Liltotto's expression remained largely unchanged, but her eyes narrowed slightly as she observed the exchange between Ben and Bambietta. The curiosity in her gaze hinting at a subtle interest, though she maintained a composed exterior.

The atmosphere in the cell has evolved even further, as Ben's attempt to engage in a friendly conversation with Bambietta seemed to be gradually taking effect.

The tension has subsided.

At least temporarily.

"I wouldn't be able to call myself a good guy if I couldn't at least try to lighten the mood." Smiled Ben still, his tone sincere.

Bambietta couldn't help but to let out a small, reluctant chuckle at Ben's remark. "You're not what I expected," she admits, her demeanor softening further.

Giselle found the turn of events even more amusing and chuckled as well. Candice and Meninas exchanged a glance, seemingly surprised by the change in tone. Liltotto's eyes narrowed further, but there was a subtle flicker of amusement in her gaze. She remained silent, observing the unfolding dynamics with a keen interest that belies her stoic appearance.

"Think you could tell me what you did expect? Chances are you might be justified." Asked Ben, his optimistic tone evident.

Bambietta gives Ben a thoughtful look before replying, "I expected resistance, defiance, and hostility. And, well, I did get all of that, but I didn't expect you to be so... charming."

Giselle giggled softly at the exchange, while Candice and Meninas watched on with a hint of surprise. Liltotto's expression didn't change much, but there was a glimmer of amusement in her eyes. She remained observant, perhaps finding the unexpected dynamics between Ben and Bambietta intriguing.

Which was more than justified, as the atmosphere in the cell had undergone a remarkable transformation, as the conversation between Ben and Bambietta had become unexpectedly amicable, a stark contrast to the initial confrontation, but leaving the outcome that much more uncertain.

A chuckle would escape Ben's lips as he understood clearly Bambietta's earlier disposition. "I'm full of surprises. The same goes for you. Sure you might have been jumpy and throwing hissy fits at first, but now, when you're all calm and cool, I gotta say you're really cute."

Bambietta's cheeks flush with a hint of embarrassment, as she looked away for a moment. "Stop with the compliments." she muttered, but there was a small smile on her face.

Giselle continued to find the situation entertaining and laughed softly. Candice and Meninas exchange a glance, seemingly taken aback by the sudden shift in dynamics. Liltotto's gaze remained steady, but there was a subtle raise of her eyebrow, indicating that she might be slightly surprised by the unexpected turn in the conversation.

"I'm just saying it as it is. I'm not one to lie." Smiled Ben sincerely.

Bambietta's embarrassment gradually fades, and she looks back at Ben with a more relaxed expression. "Well, I appreciate your honesty." she said, a hint of genuine warmth in her voice.

Giselle's giggles continued, but they've taken on a more amused and playful tone. Candice and Meninas seemed to be getting accustomed to the change in tone. Whereas Liltotto's expression remained composed, but a subtle narrowing of her eyes suggested that she's closely observing the dynamics between Ben and Bambietta.

"Don't mention it." Said Ben modestly.

Bambietta nodded in acknowledgement. "Alright, Ben. Now that we're on somewhat friendlier terms, how about you tell us why you're here? What brought you to the Wandenreich in the first place?"

Giselle watched the exchange with curiosity, while Candice, Meninas and Liltotto remained attentive to Ben's response.

The shift in atmosphere continued, as Ben and Bambietta engaged in a more cooperative conversation, with the Bambis appear genuinely interested in understanding Ben's motives.

Ben nodded with his smile still present. "I can do that, but do you think you could bear with me on some of the details? They're not exactly all precise and clear, even to me."

Bambietta nodded as well in agreement. "We'll do our best to follow along. Just tell us what you can."

Giselle's attention remained focused on the conversation, while Candice, Meninas and Liltotto prepared to listen to Ben's explanation.

With a deep breath, Ben began. "So it started off with me going to see the guy who built my watch on his home planet for an upgrade. You know, the thing on my wrist that lets me turn into aliens." Ben would briefly glance at the Omnitrix for emphasis.

"Turns out one of his former assistants and a running bad guy of mine over the years tried to bring a prison dimension and it's inhabitants to said planet, but he screwed up like he always does and nearly sucked the planet into the dimension. I tried to the stop the machine he used to do all this thinking that if I got sucked into the dimension, I'd be able to escape, no problem. I succeeded in the first part but the second, well... you already know what happened next, with me ending up here." A slight chuckle would escape Ben's lips as he finished recounting his tale.

Bambietta and the other Bambis listened attentively to Ben's explanation, trying to make sense of the unusual series of events. After a moment of silence meant to allow the full weight of Ben's to sink in had passed, Bambietta would reply. "So, you're saying you were unintentionally transported here because of this machine's malfunction? And now you're stuck in the Wandenreich?"

Giselle remained engrossed in the story, while Candice, Meninas and Liltotto continue to pay close attention, with Liltotto's perceptive gaze intensified in particular as she processed the details of Ben's unexpected journey.

"Pretty much." Nodded Ben casually.

Bambietta considered Ben's story for a moment longer. "Well, that's certainly an unusual turn of events. But why would you come to the Wandenreich? You must have a reason for being here."

Giselle's curiosity remained piqued, and Candice, Meninas and Liltotto awaited Ben's response, with Liltotto's eyes narrowing slightly, a flicker of skepticism evident in her expression.

Ben's expression would soften slightly, understanding Bambietta's current disposition. "This is part of the details I said even I wasn't sure of. I really don't know why I got brought 'here' exactly."

Bambietta and the other Bambis exchanged glances, clearly intrigued but also somewhat puzzled by the situation. "So you're here, but you're not entirely sure why or for what purpose? That's... odd." Responded Bambietta.

Giselle's fascination with the conversation remained, and Candice, Meninas and Liltotto listen intently, still processing the unusual turn of events.

"Tell me about it." Sighed Ben in agreement. "But unfortunately, odd stuff like this is practically my normal."

Bambietta and the other Bambis seem to mostly accept Ben's explanation, evident by Bambietta's reply "Well, I guess you're not the only one with a share of oddness in your life, especially if you've been dealing with this kind of thing for a while."

Giselle continued to watch the conversation with interest, and Candice and Meninas appeared to be growing more at ease with the change in tone. Save for Liltotto, whose composed exterior hinted at a reserved judgment, perhaps questioning the authenticity of Ben's nonchalant acceptance of the bizarre. Her caution remained clear, maintaining a keen perception of the unfolding dialogue.

"Try eight years." Grinned Ben.

Bambietta raised an eyebrow, taken aback by the revelation, and the nonchalant nature in which it was disclosed. "Eight years, huh? That's quite a journey you've had."

Giselle's fascination with Ben's story continued, and Candice and Meninas listened with keen interest. Interest also evident in Liltotto, albeit with a flicker.

Ben would nod his head in agreement. "Yep. Ever since I was ten years old."

"That's quite a journey for someone as young as you were when it all began." Remarked Bambietta.

Giselle's fascination with Ben's story only grew further, while Candice and Meninas began to listen with a sense of respect, standing in contrast to Liltotto's narrowed gaze of keen focus.

"Yep. It pretty much changed the entire trajectory of my life. And it all started when I first got the Omnitrix." Smiled Ben appreciatively.

"The Omnitrix, huh? That's what grants you the ability to turn into different aliens, right?" Mused Bambietta.

"You catch on quick." Replied Ben with a nod. "Yep, the Omnitrix allows to turn all kinds of aliens. I can be slimy, freaky, fast, shiny, any shape and size. And you know why? Cause i'm Ben 10." Smirked Ben proudly.

Bambietta and the other Bambis nod in understanding, recognizing the versatility and uniqueness of the Omnitrix. Bambietta remarks. "That's quite the power you've got there. It must have come in handy during your adventures."

Giselle continued to watch the conversation with interest, and Candice and Meninas listen with subtle but ever growing respect. Liltotto with composed but subtle acknowledgment.

"To be frank, it's probably the best thing that ever happened to me." Said Ben with utmost sincerity.

"It's good to hear that it's been a positive force in your life." Nodded Bambietta as she sensed the sincerity in Ben's words.

Giselle continued to follow the conversation with fascination, and Candice and Meninas listened with a sense of respect for Ben's journey. And though her expression remained ever stoic, Liltotto's eyes would once more momentarily flicker with subtle interest.

"Thanks. Though you know, my story can probably take a backseat for now. I'd really like to know more about you guys, and right now, especially you Bambi." Smiled Ben warmly.

"Fair enough. I suppose I can share a bit about us, the Bambis, and myself." Replied Bambietta with a warm smile of her own.

"The Bambis huh?" Began Ben with a raised eyebrow. Then I take it you're the leader." He smirked amusedly.

Giselle cuts in with a playful grin, interrupting Bambietta in the process. "Leader? Oh, no, Bambi here isn't the boss. We don't really do leaders. It's more like a chaotic symphony of abilities and fun!"

Candice, with a confident smirk, adds, "We're the Bambis, a group of Sternritters. Each of us brings something special to the table, and together, we're unstoppable."

Meninas, with her usual straightforward demeanor, nods, "That's right. Unique abilities, unique roles. We make quite the team."

Liltotto's eyes would narrow ever so slightly, a subtle expression of skepticism crossing her face. She observed the exchange with a measured silence, seemingly unimpressed by the playful banter of her fellow Bambis, much to Ben's own amusement.

"Fair enough. So, do you guys think you could go ahead?" Asked Ben casually with an ever present smile.

Bambietta nodded, and the atmosphere shifted as she began, "Alright, Ben. Let me give you a glimpse into the Bambis. I'm Bambietta Basterbine, one of the prominent members, though not the leader, regrettably." She flashes Candice a glance of evident annoyance before continuing. "We're a group of Sternritters, each with our unique abilities and roles within the Wandenreich."

Candice, who snickered audibly at Bambietta's gaze, added, "I'm Candice Catnip, the thunderbolt specialist. I can create, control, and project lightning bolts with significant power. Lightning is my game, and I don't hold back."

Meninas, displaying her loyalty and strength, explained. "I'm Meninas McAllon, the powerhouse. Superhuman strength is my forte; I can throw buildings with ease and unleash devastating punches. A force to be reckoned with."

Giselle, with her happy-go-lucky demeanor, chimed in, "Hey there! I'm Giselle Gewelle, and I've got a thing for zombies. With The Zombie, I can control anyone with my blood, turning them into my undead minions. It's a blast!"

Liltotto, speaking in her flat tone, shared, "I'm Liltotto Lamperd, the Glutton. I can consume whatever I want by extending my mouth into a jagged-toothed maw. And yes, I've got a constant hunger for more."

Bambietta continued, "We're a diverse bunch with our own quirks, but one thing unites us – our loyalty to Yhwach and our dedication to the Wandenreich. Each of us brings something unique to the table, making the Bambis a force to be reckoned with."

After the lengthy introduction and explanation from each Bambi on their respective identities and abilities, Ben would look at them with a thoughtful expression. "So Bambietta, Candice, Meninas, Liltotto and Giselle? Is that right?" He asked curiously.

Bambietta smiled in affirmation. "That's right. We're the Bambis, each with our own unique abilities and roles within the Wandenreich."

Giselle giggled and nodded, while Candice and Meninas also acknowledge their names, with Liltotto giving a slight nod of agreement.

"So Bambietta, you can make stuff explode. Candice, yours has to do with electricity. Giselle, yours is practically zombie powers. Meninas, yours is freakish strength and Liltotto, you can make your mouth bigger and chew on near anything? Did I get all that right or wrong?" Asked Ben as he looked at them all one by one when addressing them respectively.

Bambietta grins and nods, impressed by Ben's quick grasp of their abilities. "You're pretty good at this. You've got the basics right," she confirms.

Giselle giggled and nodded in agreement, while Candice and Meninas also acknowledge Ben's understanding of their abilities. Liltotto, however, gives a nod and a more measured response, not offering much additional information.

"I'll admit,it was kinda easy because your powers remind me so much of my aliens." Smiled Ben with a shrug.

Bambietta chuckled. "Well, I suppose there are some similarities. After all, we all have our unique strengths and abilities, just like your aliens."

Giselle found the comparison interesting, nodding in agreement, while Candice, Liltotto and Meninas also acknowledged he similarities.

"Those are all really cool powers. Nicely done, girls." Praised Ben.

"Thank you, Ben. We've honed our abilities over the years." Said Bambietta with a mixture of pride and appreciation.

"I could tell. It was pretty tough taking you guys on. You were pretty precise and well coordinated when it came down to the wire." Grinned Ben.

Bambietta grinned as well, clearly pleased by Ben's acknowledgment. "We've had our fair share of battles, but we appreciate a good fight, and you certainly gave us one."

Giselle giggled, seemingly excited by the memory of the battle, while Candice, Meninas and Liltotto nod in agreement.

"Oh, that battle was so much fun! Watching tensions run high and seeing the chaos unfold was thrilling!" Giggled Giselle, seemingly excited by the memory of the battle.

"Yeah, and I got to zap some serious targets in your aliens with my thunderbolts. It was electrifying!" Grinned Candice.

"Holding my own was harder than I thought, but then everything came together in the end for a grand finale." Nodded Meninas with a smile.

"It might have been sloppy at first, but it was an effective use of our powers all the same." Nodded Liltotto stoically.

"If we ever fight again, can I hope it'd be more on more friendly terms?" Asked Ben with a smirk.

"Well, that would certainly be a change of pace. Who knows, Ben? Maybe we'll cross paths again under different circumstances." Smirked Bambietta as well.

Giselle giggled playfully, saying, "Oh, I'd love to have another go at it! Maybe we could have even more fun next time."

Candice smirked and added, "Friendly or not, it's bound to be interesting."

Meninas nodded, her tone confident, "Count me in. I'm up for a good fight any day."

Liltotto's expression remains mostly neutral, but there's a subtle smirk. "Friendly fights are rare, but who knows? Maybe it could be interesting."

"I'll be looking forward to that." Smiled Ben, his tone sincere.

"As will we, Ben." Said Bambietta, returning Ben's smile.

Giselle continued to watch the conversation with interest, while Candice and Meninas nodded in agreement.

"You know if you guys were like this from the get go, I'm pretty sure I wouldn't need to be chained up right about now." Said Ben, his smile growing playful.

"You might have a point there. Maybe we got off on the wrong foot." Laughed Bambietta, conceding earnestly.

"My, my, Ben. Looking forward to a friendly rematch, are we?" Giselle teased with a mischievous glint in her eye.

Candice chimed in with a playful smirk, "Sure thing. Just don't expect us to go easy on you next time."

Meninas added with a confident nod, "Indeed. We'll make it a battle to remember."

"If you all want a rematch, fine. But make it interesting, or it's just a waste of time." Scoffed Liltotto with a subtle smirk.

"Overall, i'm just glad we could start over on better terms." Said Ben, his smile growing warm. "Even if it seemed like it'd get worse earlier." He added with a chuckle.

"Likewise, Ben. It's been a pleasure getting to know you better." Replied Bambietta with a warm smile of her own.

"I'd definitely like to get to know you more, especially you Bambi." Said Ben playfully before glancing at Liltotto. "That is, if your boss isn't pegging to kill me later."

Bambietta chuckled "Well, we'll have to see how things unfold. But who knows, maybe there's a chance for more friendly encounters in the future."

"Oh, Ben, you're such a charmer!" Giselle chimed in with a playful tone, her expression remaining lively.

Candice smirked and added, "Yeah, getting to know you has been more interesting than I expected."

Meninas nodded, her tone enthusiastic, "Definitely! You've got a way of keeping things entertaining."

"Charmer, huh?" Liltotto deadpanned, her tone flat as she continued observing the conversation without showing much reaction.

"So, what's the verdict? You girls know enough about me to put me in the good graces of the big boss or do you want to know more before making a verdict?" Asked Ben with evident curiosity.

Bambietta considered Ben's question before replying. "Well, we've learned quite a bit about you, but we'll have to discuss it with the others. Yhwach will have the final say."

Giselle and the other Bambis nodded in agreement, acknowledging that the decision ultimately rested with their leader.

"Sounds good, although..." Ben would then gesture to the chains restraining his arms and legs still. "You girls think you could let me out of these chains?"

"We'll have to discuss that with Yhwach as well. But don't worry, we'll make sure you're comfortable until then." Assured Bambietta.

"Looks like we're all on the same page then," Giselle chimed in with her usual happy expression, Candice and Meninas nodding in agreement.

Liltotto, in her flat tone, added, "As long as it keeps things interesting."

"You think you could stay by my side until then, Bambi? I'm plenty comfortable with you around." Smiled Ben playfully.

Bambietta's cheeks flush slightly as she grins in response to Ben's playful remark. "Well, you are quite charming," she replied with a hint of playfulness.

"Ben, you're quite the charmer!" Giggled Giselle with excitement.

"Looks like Bambi has an admirer." Teased Candice with a smirk, while Meninas chuckled in agreement.

"Charm won't get you far, but I suppose it's amusing." Remarked Liltotto in her usual flat tone.

"I don't see you complaining. Your friends definitely aren't" Said Ben teasingly.

"Who said I was complaining? You've certainly brought some excitement to our day." Smirked Bambietta.

Giselle giggled with amusement, while Candice and Meninas nodded in agreement, and Liltotto rolling her eyes.

"Same here. If I could get captured by cute girls more often, this would easily become my favorite routine when on the job." Flirted Ben with a playful smirk.

Bambietta chuckled, shaking her head in amusement. "You certainly have a unique perspective on things, Ben."

Giselle continued to giggle with amusement. "Ben always finds a way to keep things interesting," she remarked playfully.

Candice exchanged playful glances with Meninas. "Yeah, he's definitely one of a kind," Candice added with a smirk.

Liltotto, in her usual flat tone, remarked, "It's not a routine we plan on making a habit, believe me. Well...at least I don't."

"It's what I do best, Giselle. Helps to keep things interesting and simple, plus leaves the doom and gloom out of it." Said Ben casually with a smile.

"You've got a point there. Keeping things interesting can be a refreshing change." Smiled Bambietta warmly.

Giselle giggled, "Interesting is always fun! I love how you think, Ben."

Candice teased, "Simple and interesting, huh? I guess that's one way to live."

Meninas nodded, "I can appreciate a bit of simplicity in the chaos."

Liltotto observed, "You certainly have a unique approach. Let's see if it keeps things interesting."

"Yep. And you girls have definitely done that today, especially you Bambi. Thanks for that." Said Ben with his smile still present and his tone sincere.

Bambietta's smile remains warm as she replies, "You're welcome, Ben. It's been a pleasure getting to know you."

Giselle continued to giggle, "I'm glad you enjoyed the show, Ben."

Candice smirked, "Well, if you're thanking us, I guess it wasn't too bad."

Meninas added, "It was an interesting encounter, for sure."

Liltotto remained stoic, nodding subtly.

"Guess I'll be seeing you girls later. Hopefully it'll be with the good news and not the bad." Said Ben with sincerity as he addressed the other Bambis.

The other Bambis nod in response to Ben's words, and Bambietta adds, "Take care, Ben. We'll be sure to discuss your situation with Yhwach and hope for the best."

Giselle waved playfully. "Bye-bye, Ben! See you later."

Candice smirked, "Yeah, take care or whatever."

Meninas nodded. "Good luck."

Liltotto gave a subtle nod again, acknowledging Ben's words.

With his cell-door being slammed shut to signal the departure of the Bambis, Ben's smile would immediately drop as he let out a heavy sigh of exasperation.

Where would he begin?

Firstly, he was chained up in a cell in a world that he knew next to nothing about, only that it certainly wasn't any that existed in his universe, immediately making him believe that he was in a entirely different universe altogether once he put two and two together.

Secondly, he was very, very sure that the people who had him imprisoned, the people who ran this place, weren't the good guys. And if they were, they did a very poor job in showing that.

Thirdly, The Bambis may seem to be the silver linings so far, but Ben had a hunch that they weren't too far from the other 'Sternritters' as they called themselves.

Which brought him to his first question?

Why exactly did he choose not to break out again when he first woke up? Even when they entered his cell?

Well that was a loaded question, and with it his answers loaded to but to start things off; he didn't want to have to fight them if it could be avoided. As exciting as using Master Control at any given opportunity seemed to him, even Ben could appreciate getting what he wanted with a little skill and finesse as opposed to brawn and raw power.

In this case, what he wanted was information.

And though how he got it was definitely not what he expected, he got it all the same, and he got it in spades.

Their names, the name of their boss, the name of their group, their powers, how they worked, their plans for him.

The last part was definitely a work in progress still, but at least he had something.

And though he mused with a playful smirk if he couldn't have gotten more info with the more fun route, fighting them.

Again.

And winning.

Again.

His guts told him that he'd probably have to deal with the other Sterns as well, shortly after. And unlike last time, where it was closer to a gradual one by one encounter, it'd be all of them at once against him.

Was he scared he'd lose?

Nope. Not at all.

He held his own pretty well against them after all while holding back by quite a bit as he was trying to fully enjoy using Master Control.

Was he cautious nonetheless?

Definitely.

Because he could tell that they were holding back too. And though he couldn't say for certain if their full power matched his, especially now, he could tell that they probably had quite a few tricks up their sleeve. Of which if he wasn't smart, he'd be sorry.

So not putting up a fight unless he absolutely had to definitely seemed like a smart move. A no-brainer even.

But the Bambis were gone now, so why was he still waiting around in this dusty old cell?

If he wanted to, he could make a run for it, or get more answers on this Wandenreich place and how it's head honcho, Yhwach, ran things around here.

So why didn't he?

It was obvious, really.

Paradox.

Whenever time travel, universal (or multiversal in this case) stuff came up, Paradox was always either his go to or his broker, making sure he was in the loop on what exactly he had to do and why exactly it had to be him who needed to do it.

Well, most of the time that is.

After all, that stint with Alpha at Rex's universe two years ago was a solo gig for the most part, save for teaming up with Rex himself.

Best team up ever, but a story for another time.

Same thing happened when he and Ben 23 got stuck in Mad Ben's universe.

Or him in Ben 23's universe for that matter, now that he thought about it.

But the bottom line was, for as bizzare as all these adventures were, (and for as epic as they ended up being) they all had a reason behind them. Even when it didn't seem like it.

And if there's one thing he knew for certain, is that a hero's work is never done, no matter the universe he's in.

So all he had to do was just wait for Paradox to show up, fill him in on the details, point him to the big bad who needed a beat down, and he could do just that.

Easy as pie (He doesn't know how to make a pie).

But in the rare, but not completely uncommon situation that Paradox doesn't show up, what would he do next?

Surely, he'd have all the more reason to break out of his cell and find the world that'd need saving and the bad guys it needed saving from all on his own?

Right?

Right?!

Well...yes and no.

Yes, he could definitely do just that. But his gut told him otherwise. And when in doubt, trust your gut.

It never failed him before. (Most of the time)

So no.

He'd play the long instead for now, waiting until the Bambis would show up again on Yhwach's orders and free him just like he expected.

They'd definitely free him.

They'd probably free him.

(They'd hopefully free him).

Plus, this was a completely full-proof, well thought strategy guaranteed to work with all objective reasoning considered and all subjective ressoning excluded.

Well...most of it.

But he definitely wasn't looking forward to seeing Bambietta again.

Well...not as much as he made her believe.

...

...

...

Ok, maybe he was looking forward to it a little bit, but that's besides the point.

He knew what he had to do, and he was going to stick to it.

What's one more night in a cell?

Lightwork, that's what.

He could pull it off with both his eyes closed easily.

...

Well... that is if he can truly keep his eyes closed until the next day.

Because even he'd admit...the silence was unnerving.

And the solitude flat out creepy.

"But if i get too bored, I'm definitely heading out and probably busting some heads along the way." Sighed Ben softly before smirking.

With his mind set on what he had to do, and his heart stoked by the fires of his unyielding resolve on what he'd sworn to do ever since he put on the Omnitrix that faithful summer night eight years ago; to help anyone who needed it, Ben would calm himself further, allowing the growing sensation of fatigue to grip as he drifted into a peaceful slumber.

And as the night fell on the cold castle of Silbern, it's residents becoming one with the shadows in which they had long since hid themselves in until the day when they would come out of them, Ben would welcome their cold embrace but not becoming one with it, or giving himself up to it.

For just as the next day was bound to come, the moment he would rise was just as inevitable.

Once more, in this unfamiliar realm...it would be hero time.

"TIME UNTIL THE THOUSAND YEAR BLOOD WAR COMMENCES:

181 DAYS 4,368 HOURS, 262,080 MINUTES, AND 15,724,800 SECONDS!"
