"Come on board the TARDIS. Visit new planets. Have a few laughs", Farah grumbled as she tried to get comfortable for the 10th time. Not easy when one wrist is chained to a wall in a cell of a pirate ship. She was really regretting having a Pirates of the Caribbean marathon the other day. Why of all the bright ideas did I suggest to visit the real Port Royal? the ginger thought. She was glad that she'd remembered to lyrics to Jolly Sailor Bold because after singing that to the captain and his crew, they'd just agreed to put her in the hold as their prisoner instead of killing her there and then or worse. Farah closed her eyes and decided to think about the past few days to try and get her mind off of her current situation.

She recalled the time the Doctor showed her a star going supernova and then the entirety of the Milky Way. Looking out at her home galaxy certainly put things into perspective. For instance, she realised that the Earth was but a small part in a larger picture that made up the swirling mass of stars and planets that was stretched out before her. It also made her wonder how many of those stars circulated around planets that held life just like hers did…how many of those had people, like Earth.

Speaking of 'people'...she was still somewhat embarrassed by what happened the other day. The ginger honestly hadn't intended to agree to marry that pompous git! She'd just said 'yes' to shut him up! Something good did come out of it though, what with how the Doctor had come storming into the church with his objection…swept her off her feet and then did a daring escape on horseback…the Time Lord was really something else, wasn't he? Her smile faltered as it brought her back around to her current predicament.

Storming a fancy medieval church was one thing, pinpointing a pirate ship in the middle of the sea was another thing entirely. She hoped that the Doctor was going to find her soon….preferably before she was forced to walk the plank or something.

Meanwhile in the TARDIS, the Doctor was frantically working at the console trying to find his missing companion. The ginger's frightened face and yells for help stuck in his mind. Hold on Fay. I'm going to find you he thought, scanning the area. His face broke out in a grin when finally located her.

"Gotcha!"

Farah was rudely woken by someone shaking her. "Time to going girl", the pirate said yanking her to her feet. She was led to the top deck where nearly the entire crew had gathered.

"You've got to be kidding me", she said as she was brought to a stop right in front of the step that led to the plank "you're going to have to physically carry me up there and toss me off because I am not moving another step", she said to the captain who happened to be the notorious Blackbeard. Why couldn't I have been kidnapped by Jack Sparrow instead?

"That can be arranged but I would rather you go on your own", he said unsheathing his cutlass and pointing it at her.

"Right walking the plank", the empath mumbled. Before she stepped up onto the plank, her hands were tightly bound. "How am I supposed to swim with my hands tied?" she asked. Blackbeard didn't say anything but stepped forward, his cutlass perilously close to her neck. He forced her up on the plank and made her walk all the while keeping his blade inches from her back. As she got closer to the end of the plank, she heard a noise which made her look up. A Smile broke out of her face when she saw it was the TARDIS flying overhead. Her expression changed to that of terror as she was pushed off the plank. Farah screamed as she plummeted into the water.

She sank quickly due to the period style dress she was wearing and without the use of her hands, it was going to be big challenge to get to the surface. The ginger didn't care how hard it was going to be, she was not about to let herself drown! Farah kicked as hard as she could with her legs hoping that she could hold her breath long enough to reach the surface. Her progress was slow…too slow…yet still she didn't give up. She kept going despite the fact that her legs were killing her and her lungs felt like they were about to explode.

Darkness started to appear around the edges of her vision as she began to lose consciousness. Doctor I'm sorry she thought as her eyes closed.

"Come on Fay. Don't do this to me", the now soaking wet Doctor said as he started CPR on the woman. He'd landed the TARDIS on a nearby island and was just in time to see her be pushed into the water. The Time Lord wasted no time entering the water desperate to get to her before she drowned. He was relieved when Farah opened her eyes. She sat up partially and coughed up sea water onto the sand next to her. The Doctor pulled her into an embrace, silently thankful that her friend James had decided to go home. The blond would've definitely killed him for endangering the ginger in this way. He made a mental note not to say anything to the man the next time he saw him.

Farah could feel the relief coming from him as he hugged her. "I bloody hate pirates", she mumbled into his chest "can we avoid them next trip please?"

"Next trip?" the Time Lord repeated, surprised. He figured with her almost dying that she'd want to go home "you want to stay?"

"Of course I do", the empath replied. Even though she had been completely and utterly terrified about almost dying…again, she didn't want to go home. The young woman didn't know what it was but something about travelling with the Doctor in the TARDIS…she wasn't quite ready to give that up just yet. One day she'd go home once she had enough but today was not that day. "Do you want me to stay?"

"Of course I do", the Doctor answered, echoing her words. He gathered her up in his arms and walked back to the TARDIS.

Two days later…

"You don't need to keep scanning me. I'm fine", Farah said pushing his sonic away. After the little mishap with the pirates the Doctor had decided to put adventuring on the backburner until he was sure that she wasn't coming down with anything.

"Fay, you nearly drowned two days ago. I'm just making sure that you're not going to come down with an illness from being in the water".

"If I was I think I would've had some symptoms yesterday", the ginger pointed out "Why can't we do something fun? I wanna get my mind off of that little incident and other things". As they had stayed in the TARDIS the past couple of days, the woman had been prone to thinking about the 'energy vampire' nightmare.

"Well we're not leaving the TARDIS", the Doctor said making the young woman groan.

"Fine I'm sure in a ship this big, I'll find something to do", the empath muttered, getting up from the jump seat and wandered off. She didn't really have a destination in mind so she wasn't too surprised when she ended up in the large wardrobe. Farah walked around running her hand along the clothes. "There really is so much", she murmured.

"This one would suit you" came the voice she'd heard before when her hand ran over one particular garment.

"You said that you were a friend before. But who exactly are you?" the ginger quietly enquired, not wanting to sound too much like a crazy person for talking to seemingly disembodied voices.

"You know who I am" the voice replied.

"Uh…no not really", Farah admits. The lights suddenly flashed like crazy and the rails of clothes shifted around her "holy…you're the TARDIS?" she breathed. Deep down she already knew that the ship WAS the one talking to her, given that the Doctor had told her the TARDIS was alive. She just never expected to be holding conversations with it.

"Correct"

"So how am I hearing you?" the ginger enquired, eager to know more.

"I cannot explain right now"

Farah raised her eyebrows "Oh? How come?"

"Spoilers"

"Whats that supposed to even mean?" the empath pressed, confused.

"It means that it'll be explained in due time"

"Great", Farah grumbled. She didn't like the fact that she wasn't getting any straight answers but at least she now knew that the voice came from the TARDIS. Her mood improved slightly when she pulled out the garment the ship had suggested she try. It was a light blue, knee length dress that had a floral lace sleeves. It was coupled with matching flats.

The young woman put it on and despite being a little upset with the Doctor about being 'ship bound', she wanted to show him the outfit. "What do you think?" she asked, giving a little twirl. The Time Lord looked up from the console, in which he'd been tinkering away and the words left his mouth. Admittedly she'd looked real nice in the so called 'wedding dress' she'd worn days ago but now…she looked stunning. The colour didn't clash with her hair; the dress itself showed off her figure rather nicely and to top it all off he got a decent view of her legs. Slim but athletic, obviously from years of ice skating/roller blading.

He couldn't help but think at how her ex had been an idiot of monumental proportions if he thought he could do better than the vision in front of him. "You look…you look lovely", he finally managed to compliment.

"Thanks", she said blushing and fiddling with a strand of copper hair.

"As you've dressed up nice I have the perfect place we can go", the Doctor said.

"What happened to staying put?" Farah asked, handed on hips.

"I changed my…mind…" the Time Lord trailed off when he noticed that they weren't alone. He moved around the console to get a better view of the newcomer. It was a woman in a wedding dress. "What?" the Doctor said, confused.

"Who are you two?" she cried, when she turned around and saw them.

"But…" the empath started.

"Where am I?" the bride asked.

"What?" the Time Lord repeated.

"What the hell is this place?" the bride demanded.

"What?!"
