Chapter 12: Battle With The Beasts Trio! Delcatty Proves Her Worth!
Upon leaving the Pokémon Center, the party noticed a good-sized group forming at the center of town. They reached the crowd, then slowly made their way through it. Once they reached the center of the group, the entire party was shocked at what they saw.
Twilight - "It's Lady Suicune! As well as her brothers Lord Raikou and Lord Entei!"
Michael then silently walked towards the Legendary trio. Suicune was the first to notice Michael.
Suicune - "I take it you are young Michael then. The one chosen by Lady Arceus to protect the world."
Michael - "I am."
Raikou - "Then you know why the three of us are here."
Michael - "Of course I do."
Michael quickly activated his battle disk.
Michael - "Now bring it on!"
(Insert Music: Pokémon Sword/Shield OST – Mustard Final Battle Theme)
Legendary Battle: Michael (6) Vs. Beast of Water Suicune
Michael quickly donned the gi he hadn't worn since his battle with Moltres on Cinnabar Island.
Michael - "Let's go Delcatty!"
Delcatty - "On it!"
Suicune felt an aura coming off of her. She figured that it was due to Michael activating his Battle Disk.
Suicune: Attack +1, Defense +1, Sp. Attack +1, Sp. Defense +1, Speed +1
Meanwhile, Lance, Clair, Whitney, and Morty went around and made sure the crowd gave enough room for the battle to happen.
Turn #1
Michael's Hand: 5 + 1 = 6
Michael - "Ice Booster! Ice Beam!"
Suicune - "Agility!"
Michael's Hand: 6 – 1 = 5
Ice Booster: Turn 1/3
Ice Beam's Current Power: 90 + 18 = 108 + 21.6 = 129.6/2 = 64.8
Suicune: Attack +1, Defense +1, Sp. Attack +1, Sp. Defense +1, Speed +3
Due to using Agility, Suicune easily dodged Delcatty's Ice Beam.
Turn #2
Michael's Hand: 5 + 1 = 6
Ice Booster: Turn 2/3
Michael - "Ghost Booster! Shadow Ice!"
Suicune - "Hydro Pump!"
Michael's Hand: 6 – 1 = 5
Ghost Booster: Turn 1/3
Shadow Ball's Current Power: 80 + 16 = 96 + 19.2 = 115.2
Shadow Ice's Current Power: 129.6 + 115.2 = 244.8/2 = 122.4
Hydro Pump's Current Power: 110 + 55 = 165
Suicune's increased speed also let her fire off Hydro Pump more quickly. However, Delcatty figured that would happen and jumped into the air just before Suicune fired her attack. She then fired her combo attack at the center of the battlefield, creating a massive ice pillar that had purple arcs of electricity running along it.
Swampert - "Ok that is awesome."
Michael - "Nice one Delcatty!"
Suicune - "Not bad little cat."
Turn #3
Michael's Hand: 5 + 1 = 6
Ice Booster: Turn 3/3
Ghost Booster: Turn 2/3
Michael - "Shadow Ice again!"
Suicune - "Hydro Aurora!"
Hydro Aurora's Current Power: 165 + 65 = 230
Delcatty jumped off the tower as Suicune's combo attack struck it, causing the tower to shatter apart. Michael, Twilight, Sabrina, Delphox, and Espeon used their combined psychic powers to stop the falling pieces of the tower from hurting others.
Michael - "You ok Delcatty?"
Delcatty - "Just fine Michael!"
Ice Booster ends

Michael's Hand: 6 + 1 = 7
Ghost Booster: Turn 3/3
Michael - "Shadow Ice!"
Suicune - "Hydro Aurora!"
Ice Beam's Current Power: 129.6 - 21.6 = 108
Shadow Ice's Current Power: 115.2 + 108 = 223.2/2 = 111.6
Delcatty fired her combo attack, but Suicune suddenly used her increased speed to easily dodge and get close. She then fired her own combo attack point-blank, making Delcatty take the full force of it.
Michael/Swampert - "Delcatty!"
Delcatty skidded across the ground, numerous bruises covering her body. She was also shivering severely.
Michael - "Delcatty..."
Michael rushed over, checking to make sure she was ok. Delcatty then slowly started getting to her feet.
Michael - "Stand down Delcatty. Lady Suicune's too strong for you."
Delcatty - "Hell no."
Michael - "Delcatty...?"
Delcatty - "Aren't you forgetting. Your promise to make me the strongest Delcatty in the world?"
Michael's eyes went wide as he remembered the promise he made with Delcatty back in Goldenrod. He then grabbed her face and lightly tapped his forehead against hers.
Michael - "Thank you Delcatty. I needed a reminder for why I caught you."
Delcatty - "No problem. Now let's catch Lady Suicune!"
Michael - "Right!"
Suicune - "Your will to continue this battle is formidable. But don't think I'll hold back from this point forward!"
Ghost Booster ends
Turn #5
Michael's Hand: 7 + 1 = 8
Michael - "Field Card Activate! Raining Fortune! That's all for us!"
Suicune - "Aqua Ring!"
Rain started to come down on the battlefield as a veil of water surrounded Suicune, healing her.
Michael's Hand: 8 – 1 = 7
Raining Fortune: Activated
Current Weather: Clear - Rainy
Turn #6
Michael's Hand: 7 + 1 = 8
Suicune - "Hydro Aurora!"
Hydro Pump's Current Power: 165 + 82.5 = 247.5
Hydro Aurora's Current Power: 247.5 + 65 = 312.5
Delcatty stood still as Suicune fired her attack.
Swampert - "DELCATTY!"
Delcatty's eyes then snapped open, an undying fire in them. She then stunned everyone as she easily dodged Suicune's attack by jumping high into the air.
Michael - "Grass Sword, Ghost Sword, and Electric Sword! End this battle now Delcatty! SOLAR SHADOW THUNDER!"
Suicune - "Fool! Aren't you forgetting? Solar Beam needs two turns to charge!"
Michael - "Don't you think I know that already."
Suicune - "What?!"
Michael - "I activate Auto Charge!"
Suicune - "Auto Charge?"
Michael - "That's right! Whenever I use a move that takes two turns to be used, this card lets me bypass the need of a turn to charge! Go Delcatty!"
Delcatty - "Right!"
Michael's Hand: 8 – 4 = 4
Grass Sword: Turn 1/3
Ghost Sword: Turn 1/3
Electric Sword: Turn 1/3
Auto Charge: Activated
Solar Beam's Current Power: 120 x 2 = 240 + 48 = 288
Shadow Ball's Current Power: 80 x 2 = 160 + 32 = 192
Thunder's Current Power: 110 x 2 = 220 + 44 = 264
Solar Shadow Thunder's Current Power: 288 + 192 = 480 + 264 = 744 x 2 = 1,488 x 2 = 2,976
Suicune stood and watched, taking the attack and knowing she had lost.
Suicune - "Well done... Delcatty..."
A massive shockwave rocked the battlefield as the combo attack hit. The smoke then cleared to show Suicune severely injured.
Raikou/Entei - "Sis!?"
Delcatty landed on her feet and shouted towards her trainer.
Delcatty - "Now Michael!"
Michael - "Go Ultra Ball!"
Michael threw the Ultra Ball at Suicune, hitting her in the head with it. The Ultra Ball then opened and sucked Suicune inside before falling to the ground.
One shake.
Two shakes.
Three shakes.

Michael smiled as he walked over and picked up the Ultra Ball Suicune was in.
Michael - "Alright! I caught Lady Suicune!"
The crowd roared at Michael's capture. He then brought Suicune back out.
Delcatty - "Ugh..."
Michael - "Shit! Delcatty!"
Michael and Suicune rushed over to Delcatty, as well as Swampert from out of the crowd.
Michael - "Sorry Delcatty. Almost forgot that you aren't 100% healthy."
Delcatty - "Its ok... Michael..."
Swampert quickly catches Delcatty as she nearly falls to the ground.
Michael - "Lady Suicune. I need you to get Delcatty over to Delphox and Ninetales now. Tell them I gave the order to help out Delcatty."
Suicune - "Right."
Swampert held Delcatty and kissed her on the forehead, then gently hands her over to Suicune, who quickly rushes Delcatty over to Delphox and Ninetales. Suicune then quickly explains the situation to them, which causes both fire-types to begin sharing their body heat with Delcatty. Swampert sighs in relief, knowing that Delcatty's gonna be just fine.
Michael - "You ok big guy?"
Swampert - "I'm fine. Sorry for worrying you."
Michael - "Look. I know you're worried about Delcatty. But you can tend to her afterwards. For now, I need you to focus on the battle here. Can you do that for me?"
Swampert looked back towards Delcatty, who was now having color return to her face, then back to Michael.
Swampert - "Sure. Besides, Delcatty would most likely kill me for losing this battle because I was worried about her."
Michael chuckles a bit at Swampert's expense.
Michael - "No questions she would."
Michael then returned Swampert to his Poké Ball.

Legendary Battle: Michael (6) Vs. Beast of Fire Entei & Beast of Lightning Raikou
Michael - "Let's go Swampert!"
Swampert - "Right!"
Michael got back into his battle pose while activating his battle disk. This also caused an aura to surrounded both Entei and Raikou.
Entei: Attack +1, Defense +1, Sp. Attack +1, Sp. Defense +1, Speed +1
Raikou: Attack +1, Defense +1, Sp. Attack +1, Sp. Defense +1, Speed +1
Turn #1
Michaels' Hand: 5 + 1 = 6
Entei/Raikou - "Extrasensory!"
Michael - "Answer back with Ice Beam!"
Ice Beam's Current Power: 90/2 = 45
Both Legendary Pokémon jumped back from the Ice Beam, their attacks being halted. They both also noticed how weak the attack looked.
Entei/Raikou - "Just what is the boy planning?"
Twilight - "Strange..."
Clair - "What's wrong Twilight?"
Twilight - "Normally Michael does a minor combo attack right off the bat for this kind of situation. Just using a normal Ice Beam though? That tells me he had something planned in advance."
Kronii - "What do you think his plan is?"
Twilight - "I don't want to say yet in case I'm somehow wrong."
Turn #2
Michael's Hand: 6 + 1 = 7
Michael - "Field Card Activate! Raining Fortune!"
Michael's Hand: 7 – 1 = 6
Raining Fortune: Activated
Current Weather: Clear - Rain
Everyone was a bit puzzled at Michael once again activated Raining Fortune.
Entei - "And just what is the point in this?"
Michael - "You'll see. And now I activate Multi-Hold!"
Raikou - "Multi-Hold?"
Michael - "That's right. Normally all Pokémon can hold just one item during battle, including wild Pokémon. But thanks to Multi-Hold, until either the battle ends, or the Pokémon I had out when this card was activated is switched out, the item limit is now three."
Entei - "That's not good..."
Raikou - "Agreed dear brother."
Michael - "Now then. Swampert's already has one of his temporary three items slots filled with the Sea Incense that I already gave him."
Swampert's Held Items: (1) Sea Incense
Michael - Now for the other two slots. For the first, I'll give him a Soft Sand."
Swampert's Held Items: (1) Sea Incense, (2) Soft Sand
Michael - "Now as far as I can tell. Things aren't looking so good for you two. But then again..."
Raikou and Entei went pale as a massive aura came off of Michael.
Michael - "You two are gonna have a Bad Time from this point forward."
Now everyone turned pale at Michael's display of power.
Michael - "Now for the third and final item. And that...is this."
Michael brought out a set of armor that Swampert could wear around his neck. And set in one piece of the armor was a round stone.
Entei - "And that is...?"
Michael - "A Swampertite."
Swampert's Held Items: (1) Sea Incense, (2) Soft Sand, (3) Swampertite
Raikou - "Ha! Aren't you forgetting boy? You need..."
Michael pulled back his left sleeve.
Raikou - "...a Mega Ring is use it... Oh boy..."
Entei - "And let the beat down begin..."
Michael - "Lady Arceus, hear my plea! Let my bond with Swampert bring the birth of a new power! Go! Mega Evolution!"
Arcs of energy connected between Michael's Mega Ring and Swampert's swampertite. Then the energy covered Swampert entirely, making him mega evolve.
Michael - "Appear! Mega Swampert!"
Everyone was amazed watching Michael use mega evolution. However, what no one saw was Delcatty, whose face was as red as a tomato. And that was only due to her strong feelings for the Mud Fish Pokémon.
Delcatty - "Calm down Delcatty. Yes, you're fond of Swampert. But that doesn't give you the right to ogle and drool over him."
Delcatty shook her head, trying very hard to keep her emotions in check. She then went back to cheering on her man.
Delcatty - "You got this Swampert!"
Swampert looked back and gave Delcatty a thumbs-up.
Entei - "Sunny Day!"
Entei fired a ball of light into the air, but the rain cancelled it out.
Raikou - "What?!"
Michael - "Oh yeah, I forgot to mention. Due to my Battle Disk being used, all moves AND abilities that change the weather are negated. The Field Cards are the ONLY way to change the Weather."
Entei - "For real..."
Michael - "However, there ARE three exceptions."
Raikou - "And those are?"
Michael - "Primal Kyogre's Primordial Sea, Primal Groudon's Desolate Land, and Mega Rayquaza's Delta Stream. Those are the only three moves OR abilities that'll cancel a Field Card. Earth Fall Press!"
Swampert had jumped into the air when no one was looking, then slammed into the ground, causing a shockwave that knocked the brothers back. He then decided to recklessly begin to head towards Raikou.
Raikou - "ENOUGH!"
Swampert suddenly stopped.
Raikou - "You are beneath us little fish! We are gods you dull creature, and we won't be bullied by..."
Raikou was suddenly interrupted as Swampert grabbed his one foreleg and slammed him into the ground a few times. He then checked on the beast of Lightning before slamming him down two more times. Swampert then walks away from Raikou.
Swampert - "Puny Legendary."
Raikou whimpered in defeat, knowing that Swampert had truly destroyed him.
(AN: If you understand the movie reference, you're a god. Lol. Get the pun?)
Meanwhile on the sideline, Suicune was trying her hardest not to laugh, then finally lost it and rolled along the ground as she clutched her sides.
Suicune - "Ok I'm sorry. That was a much-needed laugh."
Delcatty - "I do feel bad for your brother though."
Suicune - "Ah don't worry. He'll get over it eventually."
Entei - "Brother! You ok?"
Raikou - "Man that's smarts..."
Michael - "Ah. Just one more thing."
The brothers silently stared at Michael.
Michael - "Due to mega evolving, Swampert's Ability changed. Instead of Torrent, it's now Swift Swim."
Entei - "Crabapples. It felt like Swampert was faster for some reason."
Turn #3
Michael's Hand: 6 + 1 = 7
Current Weather: Rain
Multi-Hold: Active
Michael - "Ground Sword, Water Sword, and Fighting Sword! End this battle now! Earth Fall Press!"
Michael's Hand: 7 – 3 = 4
Earthquake's Current Power: 100 + 50 = 150 + 30 = 180 x 2 = 360
Waterfall's Current Power: 80 + 40 = 120 + 60 = 180 + 32 = 212 x 2 = 424
Body Press' Current Power: 80 x 2 = 160
Earth Fall Press' Current Power: 360 + 424 = 784 + 160 = 944 x 2 = 1,888 (Raikou) x 2 = 3,776 (Entei)
Both brothers stood still and took the attack, knowing they had lost just like their sister. The smoke from the impact then cleared showing Entei and Raikou in a weakened state.
Michael - "Go Ultra Balls!"
Michael threw a pair of Ultra Balls at the brothers, who were then struck by the balls and sucked inside them.
One shake.
Two shakes.
Three shakes.

Michael smiled as he walked over and picked up the pair of Ultra Balls.
Michael - "Alright! I caught Lord Entei and Lord Raikou!"
The crowd cheered as Michael carried the two Ultra Balls, along with returning Suicune to hers, then running into the Pokémon Center to send the Beast Trio over to his parents and sisters.
