Chapter 9: Rukia
Rukia groaned as she heard her alarm go off. She was not in the mood to get up early on a Saturday. She already had to get herself and her kids up early for school on the weekday she really hated getting up on her Saturdays. She threw her alarm at her wall as usual and silently screamed. She couldn't help but smile as she heard her lovely children all throw their alarms at their walls. She quickly got up and brushed her teeth and changed into a pair of blue jeans and a purple shirt with a cute little bunny on it. She looked and saw it was hitting seven-thirty. She grabbed her purse and ran downstairs amazed to see her kids already dressed and ready to go.
They knew their mom was beyond tired and they didn't want to stress her out in the morning more than she had to be. Rukia gave a bright smile, looked over at her kids outfits, nodded in approval and walked to her car. The kids all piled up and Rukia decided to drive to McDonalds to get some breakfast. She knew that breakfast was going to be provided at the school but Rukia wanted to get her kids something nice and greasy to eat. She ordered Yuki and Juuichi steak and biscuit sandwiches, Ryo and Soren got sausage egg and cheese biscuits, and Nuri had pancakes and sausage.
They all ate in the car. Rukia knew they were going to be a little late but she didn't really care. Rukia ate some of Nuri's food knowing he wasn't going to eat much. She would get Yuki to feed her while she drove to the school. By the time they got there it was eight-ten. Rukia got a trash bag and passed it around to the kids to throw their trash in. She got out of the car and went to tell her kids bye.
"Alright Yuki make sure you watch your brothers and sister alright. Umm I have lunches packed for all of you peanut butter and jelly. If you kids need me, call me. Yoshino said you would be taken care of. Don't cause trouble and I'll be back around four to come and get you."
Yuki nodded. Rukia gave a small smile and opened her arms for a group hug. Usually on Saturdays Rukia would be taking her kids out to get groceries doing some much needed cleaning around the house and helping her kids with homework. She was a bit peeved her plans were ruined. Rukia watched as her kids walked and smiled a bit. She was upset she wasn't going to be able to spend the day with her kids but they had to serve their time. Rukia chuckled to herself and heard footsteps approaching her. She turned to see none other than Ichigo Kurosaki walking towards her. Without a second glance she jumped in her car and sped off. She was not in the mood to deal with Ichigo's bullshit. She looked in her mirror and saw Nuri was as usual on his ipad.
She decided to head home and do some cleaning and make Nuri and herself lunch around noon. The moment she got home Nuri wobbled into the living room and turned on the tv and sat down contently. Rukia chuckled and went to Nuri's room first to clean. His room was okay, just some clothes scattered here and there. She happily cleaned and then went to Soren and Ryo's room. As usual Soren's side was neat and clean whereas Ryo's side was a mess. Rukia sighed heavily as she picked up his dirty clothes and trash scattered all on his side. She quickly cleaned up and straightened his bed. She huffed and made her way to Juuichi room and just walked away. She shook her head. His room was so dirty and she refused to clean it. Yuki's room was barely manageable. It was better than Juuichi room. She picked up her clothes and dirty dishes stuffed in her room. While cleaning and organizing Rukia noticed a book under Yuki's pillow. She looked around and looked at the first page of the book and started reading it.
'Dear Diary,
Today was uneventful. I hate my school and the people. I hate my coach, she is such a bitch. She had the audacity to tell me that I have to do better in math if I want to continue to run. Ugh such a bitch!-'
Rukia quickly closed the book and put it back under the pillow and walked out of the room. The nosey mother in her wanted to see what else she had written but the respectful mother in her decided to leave it alone. Rukia looked at the time and saw it was hitting twelve and decided to make Nuri and herself some grilled cheese sandwiches.
While she was finishing up there was a knock on the door. She frowned, not expecting any company. She gave Nuri his sandwich and milk and told him to go to his room. Nuri nodded and wobbled to his room. Rukia gave a small smile and then went to open the door. To her surprise Rangiku, Momo, Orihime, and Tatsuki. Rukia let them in and they quickly made themselves at home.
"Okay so we're good on going to the club Saturday right?" Rangiku asked.
Rukia rolled her eyes, "Yes Ran I'm good to go. Yuki said she'd babysit it was either that or Hisana's and they all hate Byakuya and their cousins. They always say they are too pretentious"
Momo laughed and cheered, "Yay I can't wait. I need some time from my kids. I love them but ugh I just want to let loose."
"And no husbands!" Tatsuki exclaimed.
Rukia chuckled, "Yes no husbands. How are you and Renji?"
Tatsuki sighed heavily, "We aren't great."
Orihime gasped, "I'm sorry Tats."
Tatsuki shrugged, "It's whatever I just need this night out with the girls, no men just drinking and possibly some dancing."
"Wait, speaking of men, why in hell didn't any of you tell me about Ichigo?" Rukia asked.
The girls all looked at Tatsuki. She started looking at something interesting to focus on.
Rangiku laughed, "We thought Tatsuki would tell you Orihime said she couldn't since she's pregnant. Momo doesn't know him well enough; she didn't have the luxury of sleeping with him in high school and I just didn't want to tell you."
"Umm I forgot sorry with all this Renji stuff happening."
"But what happened? What did he do?" Orihime asked.
Rukia groaned, "He's still an asshole, he tried to get Juuichi suspended or something but not on my watch. His son is an asshole as well little fucker. He then had the audacity to want to ask how I've been. Yeah no fuck that. Speaking of which, why in the hell are any of you speaking to him?"
Orihime blushed, "Well you know how Uryu is his cousin, well Ichigo a while back apologized for being a womanizer in high school to me. He's my cousin in law I couldn't not accept his apology."
"And he and Renji are besties. When he apologized I'd look like an asshole if I didn't accept but don't worry I gave him a good punch in the face." Tatsuki gloated.
Rangiku smiled, "I honestly just accepted his apology. He was so good in bed in high school I should have been thanking him." Rukia glared hard at Rangiku causing her to clear her throat. "But shame on Ichigo for cheating on you throughout high school. I mean after you took him back…two times."
Rukia scowled, "Four I took him back four times throughout high school."
"But then you met Kaien our senior year, remember?" Orihime asked.
Rukia snorted, "Yes, Kaien Ichigo's look alike from Seireitei high. He eventually left me with five kids. I have no luck with men."
"Well bitch just wait till we hit the club we are going to have the time of our lives. Meaningless sex with strangers and alcohol all night dancing." Rangiku started swaying her hips a bit as she bobbed her head to the silent music in her head.
Tatsuki gave a disgusted face, "What is wrong with Shuhei?"
Rangiku huffed and folded her arms, "He's a great guy but sometimes he's too nice you know."
Momo shook her head, "No Ran I don't know. Shuhei is a great man, you should be more nice to him."
"Yeah well maybe you focus on your broken marriage instead of my life." Rangiku muttered.
Momo frowned, "What was that?"
"Oh nothing I just want to get fucked tonight until then Momo want to go get some drinks?" Rangiku asked.
Momo looked at the time and nodded. "Yes the girls are hanging out with their friends and Aizen won't be off till seven."
Rangiku nodded and stretched, saying her goodbyes to the girls and walking out with Momo. The three women shook their heads. They never understood how those two tolerated each other so well. Tatsuki and Orihime stayed a little longer, all three sharing some of Rukia's grilled cheese sandwich.
"Hey girls, you think Renji and I will be okay?" Tatsuki asked.
Orihime nodded cheerfully, "Of course. You guys will be okay, I believe it."
"I agree with Hime you guys have been through the ringer I think you will be okay." Rukia added.
Tatsuki gave a small smile then gave Orihime a pointed look. It was time for them to go. Rukia gave a small smile and hugged Orihime and Tatsuki. She walked them out and then decided to get ready to go get her kids. She cleaned the dishes before leaving, having a few minutes to spare before she had to pick everyone up. She walked to Nuri's room and almost died of cuteness. Laying in his bed was Nuri. He had his arms sprawled out and was snoring loudly. Rukia quickly got her phone and started taking pictures.
She picked him up trying her hardest not to wake him and walked to her car and hoisted him in the back buckling him up. He was such a heavy sleeper all he did was move around in his sleep a bit. Rukia dove at a reasonable speed so as not to disturb Nuri's sleep. When she got to the school she parked and waited for her babies to come out. The moment they came out Rukia ran to give them all hugs and kisses. She was feeling emotional; she blamed it on her hormones as she embraced her kids. Everyone hopped into the car and started talking about their day.
"Mom please don't make me come back." Yuki cried.
Rukia chuckled, "What happened?"
"They made Yuki scrub up bird poop outside in the courtyard." Juuichi answered.
Soren sighed, "And I had to clean the cafeteria kitchen with some cheerleader named Sia ugh she irked me."
"Then I had to clean up the bathrooms with the other cheerleader named Sen. She was so annoying." Ryo stated.
Juuichi huffed, "Nana and I had to clean the auditorium, it was hell."
Rukia felt bad for her kids; she knew they didn't deserve to have to do community service. She looked in her mirror seeing her kids looking down in anger. Their Saturday was ruined by community service. Rukia sighed heavily and went to the park. She parked in an empty parking lot and let her kids run around and play. Nuri, Soren, and Ryo all ran for the swings and Juuichi and Yuki started racing on the trail. Rukia smiled and started taking pictures of her kids having fun. They played for a good two hours. Rukia even joined in and started climbing on the slide with Nuri. She was still small and slim enough to get on a slide.
After the park Rukia drove home and everyone took showers. Nuri took a shower with Rukia. Yuki called first but she let Soren join so she could wash her hair. After Rukia's and Nuri's shower Juuichi asked if he could use her bathroom. Rukia groaned but allowed it. Ryo decided to opt out of a shower for the time being. Rukia and Juuichi made dinner together, baked chicken with white rice and gravy. It was plain and simple. They all ate and dispersed to do their own thing. Yuki went to her room to get on the phone with her friends. Soren read her books while Ryo snuck into his mothers bathroom to take a bubble bath. Nuri was sleeping peacefully in his clean room all cleaned up and in his pajamas. Juuichi and Rukia watched her soap operas and fell asleep.
A/N Sorry it's three days late but Merry Christmas! I told you guys I'd get another chapter out. Now I don't know about New years. I can try to get one more chapter out before or on New years. I'm just trying to satisfy you guys and get chapters out before school starts because once school starts I'll be on another hiatus. Luckily it'll end in April since that's my final exam month so I'll try to get more chapters out before I have to start school back up again in May. Ugh, so exhausting. I am so happy you guys are enjoying the rebooted stories. Please guys comment and review an PM if you want, don't be shy. Tell me what you do like and what you don't, what you would want to see more etc. Next few chapters we are going to see Ichigo and Rukia interacting more and getting more into their history together.
