Chapter 13: Peaceful Trip Along The Coast! Journey To Olivine City & Cianwood Town!

After a few moments, Michael returned to the others.

Lance - "Congrats on the captures Michael."

Michael - "Thanks Lance."

Clair - "So it's now off to Olivine City, right?"

Michael - "Not yet. Gotta stop at the Burned Tower first."

Rainbow - "What for?"

Michael - "I was talking with mom to make sure Lady Suicune and her brothers made it over there. Then Lord Entei comes out and tells me that I can find a Magby in the Burned Tower. Along with Lord Raikou telling me that I can catch an Elekid on Route 39."

Twilight - "Then let's go take care of that first."

The party made their way over to the Burned Tower. There Michael quickly went inside and caught Magby. Then everyone began their trek to Olivine City. After Lance saw the party off, he decided to head for Mahagony Town. But then he suddenly got a call on his Poké Gear.

Lance - "Hello? Oh, hey Steven. What is it?"

Lance was silent as he listened to his good friend and fellow League Champion, Hoenn's own Steven Stone.

Lance - "For real? Ok I'll try to stop him..."

Lance then ended the call.

Lance - "OK quick change of plans. Let's head to Cianwood Town instead."

Lance brought out his ace Dragonite and hopped on his back, heading for Cianwood Town to deal with whatever Steven asked him to do. Meanwhile with Michael and the party, they were slowly making their way along Route 38. While walking, Michael caught a Cleffa, Igglybuff, and Snubbul. He then sent all three home to his family. Then on Route 39, along with getting a dozen bottles of fresh Moomoo Milk, Michael and Rainbow caught an Elekid. Rainbow kept her Elekid while Michael sent his home. Then the party finally arrived in Olivine City.

Twilight - "Ruby!"

Ruby - "Hey guys!"

Ruby ran over and hugged her friends, along with kissing Michael on the lips.

Michael - "So how've you been?"

Ruby - "I'll admit I've been having fun acting as Gym Leader for Jasmine so far. Sucks that Ampy's not feeling well though..."

Michael - "Don't worry Ruby. We'll make sure Ampy is feeling better in no time. Clair. You and Whitney go tell Jasmine that we'll head for Cianwood Town and get the medicine for Ampy. We'll head to the Pokémon Center and check on our supplies in the meantime."

Whitney - "Ok! See you guys in a bit!"

While Clair and Whitney headed towards Jasmine at the lighthouse, the rest of the party headed towards the Pokémon Center to check on their supplies. After a few minutes, Clair and Whitney returned.

Twilight - "So how'd it go?"

Clair - "Just fine. Jasmine did ask us to get the medicine for her, and we said we would. Man was she ecstatic."

Whitney - "I'll say. She made me and Pinkie look tame."

Ruby - "She's just worried about Ampy. We can't really fault her for that."

Rarity - "Ruby's right. Anyway. Are we settled for the trip to Cianwood Town Michael?"

Michael - "All set! Now let's go!"

The party quickly made their way to Route 40. There on the beach, they brought out as many Pokémon as they could that would carry the entire party across the water, especially past the Whirl Islands.

Michael - "Ruby. You said Gura and Ina are doing Catch & Release fishing around the Whirl Islands, right?"

Ruby - "Yep. We should be able to catch them on the trip over to Cianwood Town."

Soon the party was on its way across Route 40. Soon they came across where the Whirl Islands connects Routes 40 and 41. Just as they were about to start moving across the water, Michael stopped everyone else.

Michael - "Wait."

Rainbow - "What's up Michael?"

Michael - "Let's just wait for either Gura or Ina to notice us."

Twilight - "Good idea. Rather do that then ruin their fishing."

They didn't have to wait long. They looked out and saw Gura and Ina on the back of Gura's Gyarados doing their 'Catch & Release Fishing'. Just as Ina was about to cast out her line after another no bite, she looked over and saw the others. She then silently elbowed Gura and pointed over. Gura saw the others as well, then they put away their fishing gear and rode Gyarados over to the rest of the party.

Gura - "Hey guys!"

Ame - "Hey you two. How's the fishing going?"

Ina - "Very quiet. But it's enjoyable regardless. So, I'm guessing you guys are here because of Ampy?"

Fluttershy - "Yes. We're on our way to Cianwood Town right now."

Gura - "We'll join you guys then. Ina and I will take a break from fishing anyway."

Gura and Ina brought out a couple of their Pokémon to help make it easier to move the entire party across the rest of the Whirl Islands and Route 41. Just as they were about to resume moving, a Mantyke appeared. Michael swims over to Mantyke on the back of Swampert and catches it. The party then finally arrives in Cianwood Town.

Rainbow - "Land!"

Michael - "Here we are girls. Welcome to Cianwood Town."

Everyone took a quick look at their surroundings.

Twilight - "I'll admit I love the 'Town On The Beach' look."

Pinkie - "Same here. It really gives the town a costal look to it. Especially with the mountain behind it."

? - "Hey!"

They looked towards the sound of the voice, seeing Applejack and Kiara running over to them.

Michael - "Hey you two. How have things been here for you?"

Kiara - "Pretty good so far. A lot of fishing and relaxing on the beach."

Applejack - "There's a few other gym leaders here too by the way."

Rainbow - "Who are they?"

Kiara - "No idea yet. We haven't been able to see their faces yet."

Since it was still around lunchtime, Michael and the girls decided to relax on the beach.

Michael - "Ok before we get our beach day going. There are a few things we need to do first. Clair?"

Clair - "I'll head over to the Pharmacy for the Medicine, then ride my Aerodactyl to Olivine City and hand it over to Jasmine for Ampy before coming back here."

Michael - "Correct. Meanwhile, Twilight, Blake, and I will take a quick trek along Routes 47 & 48."

Blake - "So what Pokémon are we looking to find?"

Michael - "Just Misdreavus and Girafarig. Meaning you get a Mismagius, Twilight gets a Farigiraf, and I get both."

Twilight - "So that means I'll be the first of our group besides you to have a Pokémon from Paldea?"

Michael - "Second actually."

Rarity - "Who's the first then?"

Michael - "Ruby."

Ruby - "Me?"

Michael - "That's correct. In fact, your team's ace is the one."

Ruby then brought out her Bisharp.

Fluttershy - "So what's the normal method to evolve Bisharp?"

Michael - "Normally, to evolve Bisharp into Kingambit, the only, and by far more massively annoying, way to do it would be to have Ruby's Bisharp defeat three wild Bisharp that are holding an item called a Leader's Crest. But thanks to how much of a freaking genius my younger twin is, she created an easier method."

Fauna - "So what's the method Akira created?"

Michael quickly walked over to his backpack, then opened it and rummaged around in it before finding the item he wanted. He then walked back over to Ruby and handed her the item he was looking for.

Ruby - "Is this...?"

Michael - "Yes. The Leader's Crest. Now all you must do is send Bisharp through the Link Box while she's holding on to that. That should let her evolve into Kingambit. Or in this case, Queengambit."

(AN: Just an idea for a different method and form for Bisharp's evolution.)

Ruby - "Ok if you say so."

Ruby gave her Bisharp the Leader's Crest, then returned Bisharp to her Poké Ball and sent her through the Link Box. Ruby then brought her Bisharp back out, whose body glowed as she evolved in Queengambit.

Michael - "Haha! It worked!"

Calli - "Ok. I'll admit I had my doubts. But I'm still shocked that worked."

Ruby - "I'll make sure to remind you about this for Akira Michael."

Michael - "Thanks Ruby. I just know Akira's gonna be psyched about this."

The party then broke apart for a bit, with Clair heading towards the Pharmacy to get the Medicine for Ampy, while the trio of Michael, Twilight, and Blake headed for Routes 47 & 48.

Twilight - "So who did you bring along to assist us with catching Michael?"

Michael - "Just Greninja and Incineroar."

Blake - "You sure that's gonna be enough?"

Michael - "Well I'm gonna mostly have Greninja use his ninja skills to scout ahead for us and let just Incineroar do the fighting. But Greninja told me he's more than willing to back up Incineroar if needed."

Twilight - "Then we have nothing to worry about."

While walking through a cave that connects the lower and upper halves of Route 47, the trio encountered a group of Misdreavus, two of which were caught by Michael and Blake. Michael then sent his Misdreavus home while Blake kept hers.

Blake - "You use a Dusk Stone, right?"

Michael - "That's right. In fact, you do the same to evolve Murkrow into Honchkrow."

Blake - "I was talking with Rainbow about that, and she said that I could catch Murkrow and Vullaby."

Twilight - "Hence why I also have an Xatu right now."

Michael - "Anyway. Let's continue looking for a pair of Girafarig's."

It didn't take long to find the pair of Girafarig's. At first, they were a pain to catch. But thankfully they tired themselves out and were caught easily. Michael sent his home while Twilight kept hers.

Twilight - "So how do you evolve Girafarig again?"

Michael - "Once she learns the move Twin Beam, she should evolve."

Blake - "So which team is your Farigiraf going on Michael?"

Michael - "Perhaps the All-Psychic Team for now. At least until I find other ones. The truly final teams won't be until I have a bunch more Pokémon caught."

Twilight - "Can't wait for Hoenn then."

Michael - "Took the words right out of my mouth. Now let's head back towards the others."

Blake/Twilight - "Right!"

As they started their way back to the others, Michael became lost in his own thoughts.

Michael - "I wonder how everyone else is doing on the beach?"

-Back In Cianwood Town, On The Beach While Michael, Blake, And Twilight Start Traveling Routes 47 & 48-

While the rest of the party was relaxing on the beach, Swampert and Delcatty walked together further along the shore. While they were walking, Swampert was silently thinking back to nearly losing Delcatty during her battle with Lady Suicune. Delcatty looked back to see Swampert had stopped walking next to her and was looking out over the ocean. She then slowly walked back over to him.

Delcatty - "You ok there Swampert?"

Swampert slowly looked towards the woman he loved.

Swampert - "I'm fine. But how about you?"

Delcatty took a deep breath before looking towards the ground.

Delcatty - "I'd be lying if I said no. I'll even admit that I was scared to die in your arms."

Swampert slowly walked over and pulled Delcatty in a loving hug.

Swampert - "I promise I'll protect you. No matter what."

Delcatty - "Thank you Swampert. It means a lot to hear you say that."

The duo then shared a light kiss, showing just how strong their bond with each other was despite the fact that they had only just started dating as a couple. Delcatty's ears then perked up as she heard a cry for help.

Swampert - "What's wrong?"

Delcatty - "Someone's crying for help."

Swampert - "Then what are we waiting for? Let's go help them!"

Delcatty - "Right!"

The duo then quickly ran off towards the source of the commotion. After running for a bit, they came across a group of four Trainers picking on a pair of baby Pokémon. Delcatty ran up and straight up knocked out one Trainer with her tail. Meanwhile, Swampert destroyed the other three due to them being caught off guard by Delcatty's surprise attack.

Delcatty - "Ok. You both can come out now."

The baby duo then came out from behind the rock they were hiding behind.

Delcatty - "Aww. They're so cute!"

Swampert - "Huh. Not every day you see a Trapinch and Mienfoo outside of their respective regions."

Delcatty - "I know Trapinch is from our native region of Hoenn. But where's Mienfoo from?"

Swampert - "You remember my younger brother Samurott?"

Delcatty - "Ah. Unova then."

Mienfoo - "Thank you for saving us."

Swampert - "Not at all you two. May I ask why those guys were picking on you?"

Trapinch - "Just because they wanted to. And that we looked weak as well."

Delcatty - "Talk about heartless."

Swampert then had an idea.

Swampert - "Hey Delcatty. How about we bring these two to Michael?"

Delcatty - "Good idea Swampert. Michael will be a MUCH better Trainer for these two. And that means two new entries to his PokéDex as well."

The group of four then started their way back, with Mienfoo riding on Delcatty's back, while Swampert let Trapinch rest on his head. Upon returning to where everyone was, they noticed their beach site was abandoned.

Delcatty - "Where did everyone go?"

Swampert - "Perhaps over there."

Swampert then pointed to a massive crowd that was gathering in the center of town.
