Chapter 68:Unexpected but familiar faces
Weiss and company began making their way toward the train station as they wanted to figure out what this energy source was or if it was a grimm or grimm knight so that it could be dealt with quickly. It was a small walk from the hayley house to the train station the last maybe about ten minutes as they would soon arrive at the trian station.
The train station itself is large that had multiple auto sliding doors allowing travels to enter and exit as they pleased bur right not it was rather abandoned and quiet as they took in the view of the station itself.
"Its quite big for a train station"oscar replied admiring the place.
"Yes. it can get you from here to mistral in no time. But we need to head inside and check it out"raven ordered as the five made their way to the front doors. Though the doors didn't open due to not having power so they had to adam and lazuli pry the doors open so they could go in and out of the train station.
Inside it their were rows of seats for people could wait for the train and reception desk where they would get either information or tickets for the train but right now it looks all abandoned.
"Yep. not getting any creepy vibes here at all"lazuli said sarcastically.
"From what the commander told us the source of the energy is on the tracks itself. So lets make our way their frist"weiss stated
"Hold on. Don't the tracks go both ways. The source of the energy could be coming from either way. I think we should split up and look down each direction"Adam suggested
"Alright. Let first get to the tracks and remember to be careful"Weiss replied as the group of five made their way toward the tracks. Much to their luck the train wasn't their at the time as it was more likely at another place along the tracks so the tracks were bare.
"Okay. lazuli and oscar will head right. Me, Adam and weiss you go left"raven stated as they carefully go onto the tracks and went their separate directions.
"Remeber look for for a bright glow!"weiss called out to remind them.
Lazil oscar went to the right following the tracks seeing if their was anything strange that was down them.
"So…lazuli, you seem very attached to your adoptive family. How'd that happened to you?"oscar asked since she was still smiling hearing her cousin was alive.
"Well it happened a long time ago. I was maybe five when my parents adaboned me in wind path. And well….i was just on my own for a while till he found me"lazuli replied moving her necklace up revealing her diamond necklace.
"He gave us all these necklaces to have our own tricks. But it wasn't exactly an ideal childhood having people your not blood related to. Though i didn't mind it was the first time i had people i wanted to protect, to care for. Eventually enough when the fall happened it broke my family apart"lazuli replied
"Thats…a lot for one person to take. What about your siblings and aunts family?"oscar asked
"As we discussed before her cousin was one of my students. Though still pleasant to hear he made it out alive."ozpin said which made the boy ponder if he knew about these grimm hybrids, it was for another time.
"Heh…well when i was five i met my brother. We fought so much over stupid things it was hilarious…we thought for who went through a door first one time"she stated making him chuckled slightly
"Their was also your little sister who attended beacon if i recall?"oscar asked as she nodded knowing the great oz told him.
"The headmaster might have told you that but….baby sis was adabonded by her real mom in the winter. But she with auntie in menagerie who'll get a surprise seeing my cousin return from the dead again"lazili added
"Wow…must've been nice to have people who care about you despite not being by blood. How'd you get by before? I mean there must've been a few times you were…"oscar said almost hesiaitning to say another word.
"Alone""lazuli finished for him as he nodded.
"Not going to lie about that. I was so alone for so long but when dad found me, he gave me the best life he could. I still miss him"lazuli replied as the two continued on while oscar had some thought in his head but focused on the mission.
Meanwhile weiss, raven and adam were going down the left side of the track luckily they both could see down the dark tunnel raven unfortunately couldn't. She made due with a flashlight they brought.
"So again what are we looking for?"Adam asked
"From what cordovin stated their is a energy source on the tracks and she wants the source found. Apparently its causing a commotion to stop the trains from functioning. The faster we locate it the source the quicker the trains become operational"raven answered as they continued exploring the tracks.
After about ten minutes of walking the three haven't encountered anything yet but they were getting really close to the end of the tracks.
"Why do i get the feeling this this will lead to a wild goose chase"raven stated
"Yeah…"weiss replied but then suddenly she heard something ahead of them.
"Hold on. I hear something up ahead"she added as they carefully walked forward with weiss having a hand on her sword just incase it was a grimm.
However that wasn't the case when they saw the bright light ahead that looked similar to a fire as they approached the light.
As they apporahced they saw the fire ahead of the but their wasn't anyone which made them rather curious cause they saw bags of miscellaneous items but mainly food and camping gear.
Also on the left appear to be a man dug hole in the wall that was enough to fit two to three people with a large cloth covering it.
"This is odd. There a fire here but….i don't see anyone"Weiss stated
"Yes. nobody here"raven added but eyed the close by remaining vigilant so that they weren't jumped.
"Don't count on it!"a female voice replied as a figure came and jumped at them from the side as weiss nearly dodged an attack from their aggressor.
In front of them was someone wearing a dark red top with grey belated segments on it and a black cloth top, partiallly revealing he chesr. She wears dark, dull red shorts with black lining, a black belt, and a slit up the side with red lacing, two belts on the upper leg, and a pair of dull, dark red boots with black and white accentins.
On her wirst a pair of longblades claws as she looked ready to strike again. However weiss and raven quickly noticed the girl had banaged on her upper left arm and on her right leg and she was slightly struggling to keep herself up. Her fox tail was fluffed up in defnese.
Adam had a hand on his weapon almost ready to attack but wiess put a hand in front of him and shook her head.
"Our apologies but we didn't know someone was down here"weiss said trying to reason with the girl.
"Oh really. Likely story schnee!"the girl shouted catching them offguard.
"You know who she is?"raven asked placing a hand close to omen just incase, because she seen this girl before. One of two twins of one lil miss leader of the spider gang, miltia.
"Yeah i know who she is and so do you so don't try and reason with me!"miltia shotued almost ready to strike again.
"Listen we don't want to fight"weiss said as she decided to remove her weapon and carefully place it down infront her. Raven was already doing it placing omen to the ground putting her hands up.
Adam figured out what they were doing and had done the same placing wilt on the ground. This made miltia lower her stance but had her weapons ready.
"Okay…so what brought you here in the first place?"militia asked
"We heard that their was an energy source shutting down any traveling by train and we came to investigate. We weren't expecting this though"Weiss answered
"Well that energy source is none of your dang business"milita replied rahter rude by what weiss said it seems.
"Whats your name then? You know mine and i have a feeling you know who these two are"weiss replied
The girl contemplated for a moment about saying anything but figure she might as well since she wasn't getting out of this. She folder her weapons back before spekaing again.
"Militia malachite"milita insoturced herself which made adam raise an eyebrow.
"Your one of two daughters of lil miss correct? Leader of the spider gang and compartiot of roman torhcwich?"raven asked
"Umm yeah so what you here to collect a bounty?"milita aksed reaching for her weapons again
Adam put a hand up"no actually we are traveling with someone you might know. Does the name lazuli blackburn ring a bell"he asked making the girl eye him down ready to strike him down now.
"What did you do to her? Don't tell me you killed her"miltia replied with fear as he shook his head. For starters part of him rather not see harm come to the girl.
The name sounded familiar to wiess since she heard it before from lazuli but before they could speak anymore a loud coughing sound came from behind the clothes which made milita worry as she almost spirnted inside as the three followed keeping theri weapons outside.
Much to their surprise inside it was a style like it was some sort of hideout as their was two small beds on the side along with a small skilled live oven.
In the small bed is another girl that being melanie with her eyes currently close and she is currently covered up by a heavy blanket with a rag on her head. Miltia looked like she was fixing something on the skillet that looked like soup.
"What in the…what is all this?"weiss asked
"A shelter. From the looks of it this was used during the great war to hide form mistral soldiers surpirsed something like this is still around and intact"raven added
"This was used as a get away. I uncovered it a while ago when we were dealing with grimm"miltiar replied
"We? You mean you and…"weiss said gesturing toward meanlie in the bed.
"My twin. Mealanie malachite…she…very ill"miltia added as she pour the soup into a small bowl and walked over to her sister side and sat down on her knees. She gently nudged her sister to wake her as her eyes opened just barely revealing her green eyes.
Weiss remembered that yang did mentioned a set of twins in a bar she went to frequently and lazuli mentioned them to be sort of like cousins to her. These must be those two along with her informants.
Milita then took the spoon in her hands and dipped it into the soup pulling the liquid ut. She then blew on it to cool it down before presenting it to her sister as she slowly opened her mouth to swallow the soup. She this a few times while they watch from the side.
After a while melanie had her fill before closing her eyes again and went back to sleep
"What kind of illness doe she have"raven said kneeling down next to her.
Miltia was silent for a minute almos thesitant of what to say to them but decided to tell them anyway.
"Its pneumonia. She very weak and i don't have medicine to help treat it"milita stated
"Thats not a good thing. If its not treated quickly it'll get worst from there. How long has she had this?"adam asked
"Um..about a week now but it hasn't let up since and i'm worried its going to get worse"miltia answered
"Have you tired moving her to a hospital"weiss qeustioned
Milita shook her head"no. What she sneeds is rest but what she needs is some medicine to help her heal faster"she added
Weiss hummed a moment and remembered there was a pharmacy back in town but they needed to deal with the other problem first and hopefully oscar and lazui were having better time than they are.
"Though quick question. Have you spotted anything else in the tunel? A grimm maybe? Or grimm hybrid?"weiss asked
"Hm…now that you mentioned it. I heard some kind of growling coming from the other direction. It scared me a little bit so i hid down here to avoid it. "Milita said
"How'd you get down here anyway?"weiss asked
"Like she said. These were used during the war and our father and mother actually knew about some of them i argus and how to get in and out of them without anyone knowing. Me and my sister came through a late snowstorm which caused her pneumonia. I gahtered what blanekt i could to keep her warm and something warm to drink but thats the best i can do"milita replied
Weiss gave a concerned look on her face cause she would know the effects of what it could do to you. Also she wanted to repay lazuli for whisking her away from atlas. So she decided to tackle the problem and repay a debt.
"Okay. so you need medicine but you don't want to leave her by herself. Jus leave that to me"weiss stated kind surprised the twin
"Are you sure? Why would you help me out?"miltia asked
"Is it so bad to help someone that needs it? You need the help and i'm to offer it"weiss replied as miltia had a thoughtlook on fer as she thought it over before she nodded accepint weiss help.
"There is a pharmacy in town that have medicine to help treat it"milita mentioned
"Great. If anything we can have and adam sta here and i'll go find it"weiss added
"Wait weiss. That'll leave lazuli and oscar dealing with a possible grimm tattack on the other side. I should go and join them to make sure their okay"adam suggested
"And i'll stay here to keep these two safe. Might as well after what my daughter did to you two"Raven stated
Miltia rolled her eyes"oh that blonde. She owes me for punching me in the gut. I was sore for a while week"she replied making the tribe leader laugh sighing slightly.
"That my little dragon. If you want shes in town you two could have a rematch"raven suggested making the girl consider it slightly.
Weiss nodded at this"okay. You go help them and you stay here to defend them least you could do after her shenanigans. I'll make sure to be quick with medicine"weiss replied and just before she left miltia stopped her a moment.
"Thank you for help me"milit asaid as weiss returned it with a smile.
"Anytime. And i'd like to thank my savior by returning a debt to someone she knows"weiss replied as she and adam left leaving raven to guard the twins as milita knowing they would return.
Meanwhile on the other side of the tracks lazuli and oscar haven't found any form an energy source and they were starting to run out of track.
"I think were reaching tthe end of the tracks and we still haven't come across anything but there has to be something here"oscar replied
"Yeah and its giving me a very uneasy feeling about this…and the creeps"lazuli replied
And she was right as their was nothing in front of them but just before they reached the end of the track lazuli heard something slightly ahead of them and she immediately readied herself for anything that was ahead.
"I think we got something up ahead"lazuli said readying herself.
Up ahead was a bright green glow that seemed to pulse and it gave off a rather creepy vibe that made lazuli shiver a little just from the blow.
"Oscar. Get behind me"she ordered as she pulled of stinger and ready wisped. Just then a small tremor shook the ground beneath them as something burst up from the ground.
It was a centipede like grimm with black skin and several legs that went along its body. It has the tradtioanl grimm bone mask with red line and beady yellow eyes. However on the front at rather sharp pincers on the front that its not afraid to use on them. Ontop of its head is an antenna with a green orb attached to it.
"Its an antlion!"oscar shouted as the grimm lunged at them with its pincer as they both jumped out of the ay
"I'm guessing this but was the energy source they were sensisn but its just a grimm. Though it be a hybrid not gonna lie"lazuli said as she waited for it to attack them again.
The grimm coiled back and did exactly what lazuli predcited and lunged at them. This time she side stepped it delivered a stab to its skull but it barely srctacth it while only made the grimm mad.
The grimm shifted its head to the right slamming its head directly into lazuli stomach knocking the wind out of her hitting the wall behind her.
It then focused it attetnions toward oscar like he was an easy prey.
"I suggest that we run"ozpin replied
"But what about lazuli? We can't leave her behind"oscar replied
"Yes but i cannot allow you to get yourself hurt as you have no combat training"ozpin mentioned
He was right and oscar knew but still didn't mean he could leave lazuli their but maybe he could lure it away allowing lazuli to attack it from behind.
However just before he could enact his plan the grimm was faster and lunged at him with its pincers. Oscar prepared for the rowsr to happen but then heard a whsilting sound as the grimm fell to the ground and had a hard time getting up.
He turned back to lazuli who was back on her feet and looked like she used a couple gravity bolts to slow it down.
"Go! I got this thing!"lazuli shouted as him as the gravity bolts was starting to fail. Lazuli used her semblance to quickly jump onto the grimm head a sshe began to stab it trying to do some damage to it as she managed to crack the skull.
The grimm roared as it pushed pasted lazuli gravity bolts rearing its head sending her flying back. She wisited her body being able to land on her feet without much issue but now the grimm was back to focusing on her and not oscar as she pulled out her sword and crossbow her signature weapons.
"Lets dance!"lazuli shotued firing several bolts into it as they denotated on impact trying to blast the grimm away. The antlion only responded by digging back into the ground avoiding it compeltyl.
"Where'd it go?"oscar said as the two looked around to see where it went. Then a rumble came from underneath and before they could react the grimm bursted from underneath her trapping her within its pincers. She could feel her aura taking the blow but that still help that she was trapped with it sqeeizong her drawing more of her aura.
"Lazuli!"oscar called out as she was trying to free herself stabbing at the pincer but it wasn't working.
Oscar wasn't sure what to do but just then something zoomed pst him and slashed at the grimm stomach causing it to screech in pain which also made it release its pincers around her as she landed on the ground safely.
"You okay?"adam asked next to her with worrie
"Yeah…yeah i'm good bullhorns. Going to be sore for a bit though"lazuli answered but got into a fighting stance.
"So anyone got a plan how to deal with this thing?"she asked
"If we can stun it then we should be able to attacks its weakpoint under the jaw"adam replied
"And how we gonna stun that freaky bug"lazuli aske again
"Get behind it. Aim for the lower point of its body. That should stun it long enough for me to deal the final blow"adam ordered before turning to oscar
"You stay back. Don't need you or ozpin getting hurt"he added as oscar stayed far back from the battle.
The grimm lunged at the two attempting to grab them with its pincers but they avoided the attack as adamd raw wilt from its sheath and slashes at its pincers. While it didn't do anything he kept it trained on him giving lazuli time to ger behind it with her speed. It thrashed around trying to hit adam but to no success with the bull faunus avoiding the thrash but it did knock up some debris that was sent his way taking blush and shooting the rocks out of his way.
Lazuli manged to get behind the the grimm and noticed where a disincitvtice spot of where to hit the grimm but she would have to bed done in order to stun it. Lazuli then brought her wirst up pressing a button switching to a explosive bolt thens end it toward the spot as it denoated on impact that made the grimm screech stopping it for a moment which was all adam needed as he attack and with all his strength stbabed through the girmms jaws.
He pulled his sword out as the grimm fell to the ground and began to vinsih into dark black smoke. He looked over to lazuli who gave him a cheeky thumbs ups.
"Nice going that should make the old women happy"lazuli said before taking a look around her seeing the large amount of damaged the grimm caused along with her cuaisng some of it.
"Though…they might wanna send a repair team to fille the holes and repairs some of the tracks"She added
"C'mon weiss and raven are waiting for us with someone you know"adam said pointing to her.
"Really who are we talking about?"lazuli asked
"Does the name miltia and melania malachite ring a bell?"he asked which peeked her interest. Because they should be at juniors place or at aunt lil miss. The thief nodded as they walked away to make their way to them.
Meanwhile weiss had returned to the town and began locating the pharmacy that was in town. She had to leave her weapon with the staff so that she doesn't cause any problems as she began looking around for the proper medication for miltia sister. She began looking around the for medication but she was having a rather difucuily time in that department.
Whitley always took up medicine while she took up more huntresses style interest. She wonder if he was okay right now.
"If the pneumonia is a viral infection then there should be something for that"weiss thought as she began looking at the shelfs with many other medicines. She rounded the corner to enter another aile but she almost ran into someone as she barely stopped herself.
"I'm sorry i was looking for something and…"Weiss started but then she looked at who it was in front of her and paused before smiling.
"Winter"weiss said seeing her older sister infront of her. Winter was wearing a dark blue sleeveless dress top with navy blue jeans that have a small whtie streak going up the side of her legs. She wears a white jacket with an atlas military rank on the left side.
"Wiess?"winter said cleary surrpsied to see her sister. But weiss lunged at her hugging her as her sister returned it. Though weiss tail couldn't stop wagging under her coat which made a ruffling sound.
Though some footsteps could be heard as someone else was with the eldest schnee.
"Yo winter everything alright over here."a female voice said as weiss separated from her sister. But was shocked to see who was with her that being a familiar horse faunus carmen. Who was sporting some dark black jeans with a pair of winter boots colored brown with little balls at the end. The girl wore a tan t-shirt underneath a carmel color winter jacket with fur at the ends.
Carmen looked down then smiled as she pulled the young heir hugging her as her head went into her bust.
"Oh weiss your okay…oh i'm so happy to see your safe"carmen cheered as her tail flicked slightly. But weiss broke free of the horse grip staring at with worry.
"Why are you here? You should be atlas with whitley and wren"weiss asked
Carmen looked down sighing"look after you uh got kidnap so to speak."she started as she glanced at winter who placed a hand on her sister shoulder.
"Don't worry i know about mo…mom told it was fake to get you away from jacque"winter said with venom mentioning her father.
"But..but what about our brothers…their stuck with that devil"weiss said in fear wondering if he already sent whitley off to that medical carmen sighed smiling leaning down hugging her closing her eyes which made the girl feel relaxed slightly as she explained
"For starters that night you guys ran away. The general did some investigating of his own and well…he kinda saw whitley back"carmen stated which surprised weiss. That meant their might be a chance of him going to jail but their been no news outlets on the matter if she recalls.
"But the news hans't said anything about him being arrested?"weiss questioned
Winter looked very annoyed right now"you know father and his friends, someone backed him up saying it was…well you that did it"she said regretfully making the heiress stare straight ahead in disgust right now. That bastard said she did that to her own brother, she would never do that to him at all.
"That bastard i would never do that to our brothers!"weiss growled as her coat ruffled around for a bit as her arctic wolf tail escaped. Carmen noticed it as did winter as the two stared at the fluffy white tail infront of them.
Carmen undid her hold staring at it"Weiss….why do you have a tail?"she asked which made said tail droop to the ground
"Yes because i don't recall my little sister having a tail. Is this an accessory"winter said as she gently tug on the tail as weiss yelped slgjtly.
Then the atlas women froze slightly feeling the real tail that her little sister now had as her jaw dropped slightly.
"Why did that feel real?"she asked surprised
Weiss held her tail rubbing it as carmen reached over stroking it very gentyl making the girl blush slightly. The horse faunas went wide letting go as the heriness quickly hide the tail again.
"Oh my god it feels so real…and very fluffy"carmen said trying to touch it again but she smacked her hand away.
"Thank you very much but that is attached to my body"weiss spat but the two stared at her very confused. They don't recall her having a tail last time they saw her.
"Also why are in argus? Also weren't you suppose to be heading to havan?"carmen added
"Okay but why do you have a tail. I don't recall you having something like that last i saw you. "Winter stated as she dug through her pocket producing the faunus heart. Then she quickly pocketed it.
"For starters we were on our way their cutting through the anima. But our ship came under attack by some lancers and a grimm knight"weiss explained
Winter went wide eyed hearing that she recalls the reports she sent about one being in the anima. But to hear she had a personal encounter with one.
"So you saw the one that i detailed in my reports. What happened to it?"winter asked but this caused her little sister to glare at her which surprised her slightly.
"That it had a name a poor women from the branwhen tribe who rescued us from our crashed ship. If your wondering if lazuli, eria and uh…falk are okay they are"weiss said but the two noticed her ehsaiting on his name which made them curious but let her continue.
"But for what happened to her she was put out of misery, but she got to say goodbye to her family. After that we stayed in the camp waiting for my leader and her sister. Apparently they were traveling to havan as well"weiss explained
"Though instead we get my leader older sister who i'd love for you to meet."weiss added
"Okay but why do you have a tail exactly?"carmen asked yet again as she sighed tossing the faunus heart to the girl who caught it examining the runed cover rock.
"The object in your hands is an aritifact. Me and falk stumbled upon a cave and my hand scrapped against it."weiss started but her sister continued.
"I heard of that artifact if a speck of blood gets on it. It'll turn a full human into a faunus the story goes a man killed a faunus. But their lover was anger by this turning him into a faunus. Correct"winter commented
"Correct you are. But where are our brothers and what about mom?"weiss asked with worry as the atlas soldier smield at her.
"Wren back in atlas with mother. Although carmen here is serving as the personal bodyguard for our brother. Who is staying with me along with her. But some people i know are keeping a close eye on mother and wren back home. The general even supported it"winter explained which made the girl tail wagg in joy hearing that right now. But also to hear her brother was here made her worry but just hoped thing were fine in atlas.
"Thats great to hear…i..i..just hope their okay. But i need to find something for a virial infection for someone"weiss said
Winter waste little time and luckily she was in the right area as she found what medicine she needed and handed it to weiss.
"I'm guessing for someone with pneumonia right"winter replied as weiss grabbed a hold of it nodding happy to see her sibling here and old friend still.
"Yes someone is waiting on me to get this medication to them so i'm going to need to leave soon"Weiss replied
"Hold on we'll come with maybe along the way we can ask what you did in those woods"carmen said as the girl hesitated but the item in hand wiess bought the item and three exited the pharmacy.
As they walked weiss began to tell her sister all the things that happened while in the anima. How she got involved in a small tribal war, surived a crashing ship, how she became a faunus again. Along with how she met up with one of her teammates. Though they dealt with something else,but she left the part out reveal adam wondering how'd they react.
Though winter began to notice where weiss was taking them as they were approaching the train station.
"Um…weiss i thought you said someone needed the medicine but you never said they were in the train station."winter said
Carmen began to slightly tense up approaching the enclosed spaces"yeah because uh enclosed areas aint my cup of tea. Remeber"she stated as she did recall that, she was afraid of tight spaces because of the mines.
But weiss quickly just grabbed her hand as she squeezed it slightly to calm her.
"Relax…there was another reason being down here. Apparently there is an energy source that the military couldn't track down but everytime they try to go in they would get attacked by something. So the commander asked me and my friend to help"weiss replied as she apporahced the trains tation with the two following her.
They entered the stationed before heading before heading straight toward the tracks and walked to the left.
"Weiss where exactly are we going?"winter asked
"Y-yeah because uh this is getting creepy"carmen added taking small rapid breaths as fear slowly sunk in.
"Don't worry. Were almost their."weiss stated as she saw the familiar light ahead after they arrived at the small hole in the wall as carmen stayed outside it but peeked inside.
When they entered the small hole only for winter to see two fox faunus girl along with lazuli, raven and two others boys but one of them was a bull faunus.
"Heres the medicine"weiss said handing it to milita as she opened the medication and poured into a small spoon before goivng over to her sister. She willingly drank the medicine before laying her head back down onto the pillow falling turned to the other two with them now
"And just who are they?"she asked
"Oh um i'm carmen hi…sorry i don't like tight spaces"carmen said outside the room nerovusly laughing.
"I'm her older sister winter shcnee. I'm apart of the atlas military i'm not here to hurt you"Winter resurred
Raven chuckled"well its nice to see you again after so long. How have you been after dealing with my annoying twin brother?"she asked making the former icy soldier chuckle at that sighing.
"Your brother is quite annoying i'll say that. Pleasure to meet you again raven"Winter greeted as she turned toward the other three with them.

Though she then turned to the bull faunus who looked at her carefully before he extended his hand toward her as the group held their breath.
"adam tarrus""he simply stated as she took his hand and shook it gently.
"Nice to meet you . I do hope you aren't causing trouble with sister. Since your a well known terrorist you should depise our family. And i should have half a mind to turn you in"winter replied as some released their breaths.
"Look the guy aint all bad surrpisngly. Hes helping us stop his former buddy ollie from cuaisng more mayhem"lazuli said as he growled hearing that name. Which winter noticed surprised but quickly pieced it together.
"Hmm alright i'm guessing that why raven with you to keep an eye on him. But.."winter stopped before hugging lazuli for a moment then separated.
"Thank you for saving my little sister from jacque. I hope you didn't get her into too much trouble"winter replied making lazuli chuckle.
"Not really. She does have her antics but she does get flustered easily"Adam said as lazuli blushed from that statement.
Though her attention was turn to the girl that is covered up.
"So this is the one that has pneumonia right?"winter asked as miltia nodded
"Yea. i can't risk moving her till her fever breaks"milita said

Miltia didn't know what so say at first but she didn't want to make the decision without her sister.

"Of course"winter said not even bothered by her choice pulling something out of her pocket and handed it to miltia.

"You should just go to her apartment. It'll be safer for you two"lazuli stated worried
"I know but i wanna make sure melanie fine with. And shouldn't you be trying to hunt down your cousin and fathers killers? And find neo"mitia asked but this just made the thief smile.
Lazuli walked over hugging her"lil sis is back in menagerie. And ummm well lets just say my dumb cousin back from the dead again" she said as winter was still their very confused hearing that.
"What are you talking about. Reports state that he was declared dead back in vale"winter questioned as they paused for a moment on how to answer.
"In simply terms he sent a message saying he was alive. But for his current whereabouts we don't know."raven quickly answered because they needed to keep everything on the down low.
Miltia sighed hugging lazuli as her tail swayed"that great to hear. Though you told us next time you saw tarrus you skewer him. For making your dad take that job"she said which made him stare at her as she nerovusly laughed.
"I wouldn't blame her. Though we've come to terms now and have one goal, stopping the white fang"adam stated in confidence.
"Well we should get going, don't wanna keep the other and ice queens boyfriend waiting"lazuli said diverting the topic as winter was surprised to hear this. As carmen then stared at weiss who tail began to wag.
Carmen had a teasing look"Wait a minute…don't tell me you..oh my god did you ask that pilot out?"she asked making her blush which answered her question.
Winter gave a small smirk"seems the heir to the ice queens throne is lost. Maybe i need to retake my mantle as its heir to the throne"winter simply joked making some laugh.
Weiss covered her face"since the problem has been solved here i'm reporting back to cordovin and let her know about the repairs that'll need for the tracks. pelase accompany me"weiss said before leaving the room with her.
"Well met back up at the hotel and then we'll discuss our next move. Lets hope the others had an easier time"adam informed as they say there goodbyes to miltia as they left the room as weiss was heading back to inform the command about what had happened on the tracks and hopefully could get the repaired as qucikyl as possible. But winter joined her to mess with her younger sister.
