Chapter 69:Disocveries
Morning came over menagerie like before as it was a bright new shining morning. As everyone in their respecitives home where awake right now but right now in the coastline outpost was sangie who was doing one thing right now rying to do one thing.
That being how she was going to explain what happened with the attack. She kept pacing infront of the long range transmitter trying to figure out how to tell her boss along with that weaver fellow they failed in killing them. Along with the loss of alpha which wouldn't put her on good terms with her employer
While next to her was one of her remaining litenanuts as they were trying to come up with a plan.
"God dammit! I thought this would be easy with their forces mainly training for the last week. They'd all be exhausted"sangie said pacing
The litenaut cleared their throat to speak"yes commander, but it seems we didn't expect for those reinforcements of theirs to arrive so quickly it seems."he replied which made her shoot a glare as he flinched.
"Do you think i don't know that? How am i going to explain this to watts?!"sangie shouted as it echoed in the base as the remaining soldiers were treating their wounds or guarding the perimeter. All of them noticed her on edge trying to avoid her the best they can.
The women growled in frustration as she slammed her combat knife into a table of menagerie right now. She eyed the targets on their because now they don't even have enough soldier to tackle these new reinforcements of theirs along with that it made completing their objectives harders.
Then she glanced at all her remaining soldier measuring in at about fourteen exlcuding herself, when she started out she had over thirty five of them to assist her. While their were fifteen of those thugs from mistral with ten members of the white fang. All of them were useless to the end like she thought at the start.
As the two stood their in complete silence the litenanut of hers was deep in thought before thinking of one thing.
"Ma'am permission to speak freely if i may?"he asked hesitantly as she eyed him down.
"You may and it better be something good to unfuck this mess"sangie growled picking up her combat knife ready to crave somethign up.
The soilder felt nervous by that but started to walk as she decided to follow as they did the soldiers were loading up the suppiles they can incase they need to leave. Along with that they were heading toward the radio transmitter to communicate with her employer and queen which she doens't like to call.
"Look i understand our soldiers are low right now and we expeirneced heavy losses. With most of them taking severe injuries but their is a solution to this entire thing if you look at it"he said peeking her interest sheathing her combat knife for a moment.
"I'm listening and it better be good"sangie growled as smiled nerovusly.
"Well our employer said the brat you used to watch back in the day group had in possession the winter maiden correct?"he asked as she nodded at that letting him continue.
"I understand that we will receive reinforcements from that mining town by tomorrow from an early radio call we got while we assaulted the town of beast. We hold out for them since mr. albino speiclaize in assaisnion and recon"he continued hoping she likes where this was going because she was.
"That we gain their assistance and perhaps tell them the bad news about alphas departing from the world. Letting them know that two primary objectives are here will satisfied our employer from sending a hit squad out on us"he finished hoping it meets her expectation.
The women thought for a moment and it didn't sound like a half bad idea because she worked with yohi in a few occasion. He was a professionally that gets things done, because the last time she failed a mission she got a terrible punishment that being not given her next paycheck as she laughed smiling.
"I like the sound of that, thank god i came up with that idea"sangie said to the soldier confusion at the moment.
"But ma'am i came…"he was suddnely stopped as she wrapped her hands around his neck snapping it in an instant as his body dropped dead to the ground. The soilders starred at her as she had a wild look in her eye.
"Get rid of this failure burn his body or better yet feed him to the grimm"sangie ordered as some soldier dragged the man body away to do just that. As she took a seat at the radio transmitter turning the knobs adjusting it for a moment as it began to whirr slightly until it started to receive a transmission.
That being a familiar mustached scientist voice"ah miss. Rupal good that your contacting me. I take it you were very much successful in your operation on getting rid of the pest. I'm sure with conri help it was successful"arthur asked with a cheer in his tone
Sangie sighed picking up the microphone"Actually sir terrible news i'm afraid….subject alpha has been defeated and slain"she answered regrettable as it was quiet on the other end until someone else voice spoke through.
"So your telling me, my first knight has been slain and you let it happen"a sickening voice said on the other end making her shiver because it was salem instivly she kneeled still holding the microphone.
"I..i…i'm sorry my queen. Unfortunately we ran into a snag in the arrival of that traditor omega. He brought reinforcements catching us all offguard. But…i..i have good news at least"sangie said trying to save her hide.
On the other side salem didn't answer but hummed slightly.
"I take it better be good news or you'll suffer a fate worse than death"salem stated
"That the winter maiden is here along with that sources confirmed that summer rose is actually here. One of my men reported her to be the one who slain alpha. Along with that one of them spotted omega fleeing the town."sangie continued as salem and arthur stayed silent.
"If i may why bring that up suddenly miss rupal?"arthurs asked on the other ended as she smirked.
"Makes him easy picking, i plan to wait for yohi and his soldiers then we can scout the town. Then recon the area for the targets plant charges across the island. Kill two birds with one stone retrieve the maiden and two more knights at your disposal. If you'll allow it"sangie replied as she waited for their permission or decree as soon it came.
"I'll allow it but know this fail me again…and you'll pay dearly with your life. I may feed you to my pets this time"salem warned as her silence was enough as the transmission was disconnected as she sighed in relief. Now she just needed to wait for reinfrocments to commence her plan.
Although across town right now more speicifcially the belladonna right now as the atmosphere was a little bit tense this morning right now. As everyone in the household where trying to figure out a solution to last night new problem.
But right now blake was trying to come up with a plan to deal with this as she messed with her food. While ghria was deep in thought as their family along with sienna was eating breakfast. It was just an eerie silence right now.
Sienna had a hurt look feeding sorrel with a bottle right now as aruna seemed to didn't mind what happened last night. As the only one not for breakfast right now as jazmine who was still in her bedroom. Kali messed with her brekfeast before eyeing her eldest.
"So blake dear are you going to go apologize for what you said last night or not?"kali asked almost demandily.
Blake scoffed"Why should i? Because i don't even wanna be near them right now because they ruined everything"She said with a growl in her throat.
Sienne glared slightly"are you serious? Even i can admit how you phrased everything last night was very troubling. "She spat
"Uhhh mom cousin got a point in my opinion"Aruna voiced her objection to her mother disappointment.
"Are…are you serious? Because for starters i'm sure you wouldn't want to be on bad terms with your friends dear"kali said directly to her daughter.
But blake didn't care last night because all those things nadia said drew the line she doens't care if she helped their cause. They never asked for any of her help because she just a mad women now defending something that is a problem
"I don't care. Because for starters cardin was an absolute bully back in beacon. He picked on alot of people and now expects everyone to forget what he did'blake answered with a growl as ghira kept a calm and stoic look listening.
Kali eyed her daughter down"look i know you have bad blood back then. But people can change over time i know what was said last night was hurtful for both parties"she started walking over to calm her.
"But fighting will just lead to conflict. Please just calm down your friends came here to help. If it weren't for them we wouldn't be here"kali motherly said placing a hand on her but she threw it off crossing her arms.
"We would have been fine…their all just mad that i'm trying to protect my family right now. Sorry that i don't want to defend a murderer right now."she said as someone scoffed behind her.
"Man your a real jerk sis. After saying how you wished to see your friends again. You change into a real bitch"jazmine said joining them from breakfast sitting very far away from her family and her sister at the end of the table.
"Jazmine. I didn't raise you to say such harsh language'kali warned as her youngest crossed her arms ignoring her.
Aruna was eating her breakfast rolling her eyes"are you seriously gonna be a child now. I may act childish but at least i'm smart to know when something is bad."she smugly said making the girl eye her down.
"Your a biggest idiot here with your antics. Seriously all of you are"jazmine said coldly earning a glare from the bengel as her tail swayed rapidly.
Ghira sighed closing his eyes"enough. Now last night was indeed troubling but right now we need to solve this issue."he stated as blake had an idea.
"Well heres one we gather some people like nix suggested. We find him and capture him then lock him up for everyone safety. Before he regroups with the crimson talon he might have actually been a spy. Probably got on everyone good side to trick us"blake suggested coldly.
At that moment someone growled loudly behind them as she turned going wide eyed surrpsied to see zoey here in her full guard uniform. The fox faunus tail was fluffed up as she kept glaring at all of them.
"Oh zoey its a surprise to see you here. What brings you here dear?"sienna asked sweetly trying to get on good graces.
"Probbaly here to say she quit or something. Because pretty sure fox tail wouldn't wanna be here"aruna smugly replied making zoey growl at her making her flinch.
"Tell your dam brat to keep her mouth shut. Or i'll do it for you"zoey said presenting kitsune in hand pointing it directly at aruna who gulped nerovusly. As a few of the guards muttered to themselves seeing this side of their commander right now.
Ghria sighed standing up placing his arms behind his back"miss vix i understand you are quite anger with how last nights events tansprried. But i take it your here for your duties?"he asked
Zoey scoffed"i have to make sure your dumb daugther doens't try to kill my brother. Because you sound just like…adam tarrus"she said making blake flinch glaring slightly at her. Blake clenhced her prosthetic hand being compared to him.
"I'm not defending a monster,just trying to stop another tragedy from happening face reality"blake spat making zoey growl as her tail thrashed but kali stopped it.
"Stop it. Look we'll try to come up with something right now to solve this problem. But without evidence to clear his name its impossible. I take it your mother is doing something about this to try and fix things"kali softly asked as the fox eyed her sighing crossing her arms.
"She going to try and find him. When she does where leaving this god forsaken island"Zoey answered
"Thats not happening because right now havan is probably ruined because of him. Another kingdom will burn and its his fault like before"blake codly said making jazmine slam her hand on the table.
"Can you stop being like a jerk! Seriously your being paranoid over a simply way to fix this"jazmine said before walking over to zoey for some reason.
"And for starters i'm going to try and make amends by helping them. At least i know when to be grateful"jazmine codly said about to leave the house but blake got up grabbing her by the arm stopping her.
"Your not going to help them. Because as your sister this is for your own protection"blake said dragging her sister toward the living room forcing her to sit down. But out of spite she detached her own leg carrying it,
"Blake! Stop this behvaior right now because i.."kali was stopped
"This is for our people i'm not having my sister get hurt every again. You may be right i should be kind to them but i'm going to try and save the plan to stop the white fang. Along with dealing with the new problem"blake said slamming the door leaving the house to their shock as ghira just felt disappointed but understood she is just worried for her family.
Although right now in the walker reisdnets the house was a buzz right now. As mainly they were fisnihing up their breakfast for the day as the one to cook it for them was cardin. Who was in the process of making some scrambled eggs as the bruise on his face was a slightler darker from the fist he took last night.
But right now he iced it with the help of some iced peas as they were all trying to come up with a game plan right now. As most of them figured out last night where everyone was staying for their respective homes. That being him and yumi rooming together in the tiger house, taking the spare bedroom.
While vance took the room meant for him but brought that trunk they got from hariett exclusively in his room. But for coco and velvet they stayed at zoey and akatas place since nadia saved one room exclusively for her son. But she was busy grumbling to herself in anger the entire morning with colt trying to calm her down. Though the rabbit was upset laying her head down staring at a photo of her first date.
"Walker i get it your pissed i'm more than pissed myself after everything thats happened"Colt said
Neo rolled her eyes before shifting her appearance into blake mimicking her making it sound like she was making rude remarks. Which hurt cardin seeing the bad blood they all had because he just wanted to protect his friend, he knows his mental state isn't good.
"Nice one sis seriously that dumb cat is ungrateful. I get she cares about her family but seriously she is just like her ex lover"Vance coldy said as he polished his pistol
While yumi was busy examining the snapped in half remorse, but she was having alot of trouble with it. Because it was heavily damaged and she didn't even have the parts for it. As she was inspecting the interior of it seeing a complex array of circuits and wires inside it. With her was velvet along with coco sitting close by since the two came by to discuss today plan.
Velvet groaned slightly"can you please not be so mean…i know what was said last night was hurtful"she sadly replied making nadia growl.
"Girly you have no idea what i've done for their stupid cause! I sacrfeiced alot for that stupid family and this is what they give me in return! Trying to kill my own kid letting them hang him saying that is justified. It isn;t!"nadia cired in rage as her ears striahgten out making velvet scared right now.
That was when colt sighed walking over placing a hand on his friend then turned her around pulling her into a comforting embrace.
"Easy their walker. I know your mad but don't take it out on these kids their trying to help. Also thats his girlriend"colt softly said as she took a few minutes to calm down before looking down upset because he was right.
"Your right…i'm sorry sweetie i'm just very anger with them right now"nadia apolgized but she shook her head
'"I know your mad…i just didn't expect this to be the outcome. I just want everyone to be happy…she didn't even give him a chance"velvet saldy said fighting to cry as coco rubbed her head gently.
"It'll be okay bun, maybe they'll see reason eventually."coco reassured
"Though good uh luck on trying to figure out your guys relationship kid. Gonna be hard figure that out"colt softly added as velvet looked down hugging herself laying on her side.
"I know…i've already forgiven him for what he did because I know he just scared trying to protect everyone"She replied making nadia glad hearing that.
"well I can tell the big kahuna here can drop some stoic wisdom on everyone"Coco said meaning the chiefitna
Neo frowned at that"you mean how after everything we did for them they suggested placing a collar on my cousin!"she signed with exclamation.
"Theirs also your girlfriend sis i take it she might be with them. Sorry to say this but right now i don't like her right now if she is"vance said making the mute frown at that hoping that wasn't the case. Because that girl made her feel special and knows she not the type to do that even if they've dated for a short time.
"Oh right your dating her though lets get something to eat. Then we come up with a game plan on the search for grimm boy"cardin said as they all got up to eat. It was a simple breakfast that being each of them having two eggs over easy or incase some of their cases sunny side up. Along with three sausage links with a glass of juice or milk for some.
"He right we can't start on an empty stomach. Then we all gear up to split up to find him if were quick enough maybe he hasn't left the island yet"vance said as they all sat down to eat once some of them took bites of their breakfast it tasted like heaven to them.
"Alright it seems winchester here can cook pretty good who would have thought"Coco said struggling slightly to eat since her one hand.
Velvet hummed in delight slightly"she right because for one thing i forgot you can cook pretty good."she replied
Nadia dug into her as her eyes light up because it was good"yeah seriously maybe after this is over i'll invite you over for dinner more. How are you this good?"?she asked as he sat down
"Oh my i taught myself when my mom was pretty busy. She taught me a few things but when she took over as governor for my dad. She became pretty busy cooked for me and my sister"cardin replied as neo recalled her as she tapped his shoulder then was about to type on her scroll but stopped her.
"Relax shortie don't gotta do that stupid texting stuff panda ears taught me ASL in the last month"cardin advised
"Hey you asked because it might have been a pain for her to text all of the time"yumi asked delightly eating her breakfast. As neo appreciated the gesture immensely right now before deciding to tell him something.
"Well we actually ran into your sister here"neo signed as he went wide eyed before groainign loudly smacking his face.
"Whats with that reaction kid?"colt questioned eating his breakfast
"I don't know my sis really hates faunus and i'm sure she especially hated here. Since…since our..dad died here on one of his business trips"cardin answered before a somber look came to his face. It got a little quiet as he totally forgot that what he was going to do when he got here. Find out more about his dad death but he pushed that back into his mind he wanted to help his friend.
Nadia sighed rubbing her eyes"she told us about that, though girly is lucky on her way home right now. Freed her from um…"she couldn't find the words on how to tell him
"Auntie i already explained to him back in vale about beatrix school being an assassin school. I take it she been sent to jail or whatever"vance asked as neo waved her hand around on maybe she had alot of connection.
"Phew well good news is your sister is back home with your mom. Though her and that taupe women daughter were close it seems. Little brat is just like her hag of a mother terrible parent of the year goes to her"nadia said growling with every word.
Colt though had a thought cross his mind on that wondering if that charred skeleton was actually that women husband body.
"Though that body you all brought was it actually her husband remains?"colt asked as they all nodded
"Yep that was him…guy got put out of his misery at least. But that dumb wolf will probably get the results later thinking he'll be right"vance said stabbing into his food digging for a moment.
"But that entire family can suck it except for xander. That guy the only good one right now seriously already expected her to break things off. But to call him what everyone else calls him…it hurts that his own teammate would do that."vance finished hurt right now hoping his cousin is alright right now after last night events.
"Please don't be mean i..i know your mad at her but…never mind"velvet said keeping her peace now thinking about her relationship
That made cardin hope the twins won't have the same reaction and if their even alive right now but refocused on the task at hand.
"Look theirs nothing we can do except hope for the best. We should gear up to search for the guy"cardin said as tehy continued to eat breakfast
After they finished breakfast when they were outside they were met by something shocking that being a couple faunus tagging nadia house as the tiger growled in rage.
"What the hell are you doing to my home!?"nadia shouted as the faunus with spray can noticed her.
"Ah crap run its the monster lover"one said dropping his spray can as the other did the same sprinting off.
Vance growled throwing a spray can nailing one in the back of the head"Stay the hell away from my aunts house or else!"he warned
Then they took a look at the damages on the house right now as they left a message it seems. That being a crudely spray painted picture of a grimm hanging from a tree with its neck hanging loose saying"quit supporting a monster freaks!"it read it red spray paint.
Nadia sighed rubbing her eyes trying hard not to cry from this because this didn't happen before but now this is happening. All because she wanted to defend her kid.
"Seriously their spray painting your house now. Alright this is just low even by my standards. Has this been going on for the last month?"coco asked adjusting her shades
"No it hasn't none of them have attack my aunt house at all. A few said some rude remarks toward her but did nothing like this"neo signed to their surprise wondering why
"Why the heck woudln't they attak your house up until now"yumi questioned placing a hand on her hip.
"Because maybe the chieftain told them not too mess with her home"akata said walking over with a backpack on her back already with her weapon on the side.

"Shes at the house trying to convince them maybe to apologize. And its her job remember"akata reminded as they recalled that.
"Despite that i have to get this removed. But if your heading to the dunes i got something for you"nadia said walking toward the back of her home. The others followed her wondering what she had for them. When they got to the back their was a simply garage as she lifted the door up with ease to reveal a jeep without a top part leaving it open. Along it being colored jet black with heavy duty tires.
"Whoa forgot you had this in storage"yumi said
"Yep my dumb nephew bike might get some coverage out their but it aint the best on sand. He rather not ruin his precious baby"nadia teased slightly making him frown.
"Alright i appreciate my bike. But…do you want someone here to help clean that up and the orphanage?"vance asked a sshe thought about it.
"I'll stay to help keep your kids in check"tia voice said walking behind them startling them slightly.
"Ah don't sneak up on us like that!"velvet screeched as she laughed slightly but colt eyed her down.
"Whats your angle williams? Because you got a rep with me right now because of what you did"colt warned as tia sighed rubbing her arm,
"Look i wanna make an amends alright. Seriously i already feel like a jerk for what i did like i said yesterday i feel terrible for what i did to faunus. My little ram would hate me for what i did and…i want to help"tia explained as the man sighed knowing a good soul when he see one.
"Alright help mari at the orphanage i'll help clean that graffeti on the house. But that ride can fit up to four to five of you"colt stated
"Well i'm going i know how to drive at least. Anyone else coming because we'll search the dunes first today then again tomorrow. After that the jungles nearby"vance said hoping into the driver seat. As neo hoped into the back with yumi with her as velvet and cardin hoped in as cardin sat in the passenger seat.
"Alright you five good luck, please find him because when you do i'm leaving this place for good. "Nadia said as they nodded as vance took the control. He shifted the truck into drive and stepped on the accelerator as the truck moved forward as they headed off into the dunes.
It was a smooth ride for about a couple hours as cardin and company remained on guard incase they didn't like what came along. However things seemed rather tense between all of them with what happened last night. As they search the entire desert landscape for any sigh of their friend.
But this went on for a good while as they ran into a few problems that being a few grimm along the way but they easily dealt with them. But they managed as they continued their drive for a good while.
"So we still haven;t seen him at all"neo signed rather annoyed
"Did you think this was going to be easy?"yumi asked as the mute shrugged her shoulder hoping it was.
"Well it won't be because seriously. I know i messed up things in the past with everyone..i thought i made up for everything"cardin saldy added as yumi and velvet eyed him down for a moment.
"Come on look to the positives you realzied your mistakes. Even coco forgiven you i think"velvet reassured which it did slightly.
"Yeah plus i like the new you from what i heard you where a jerk. Sorry"yumi replied
Cardin smiled slightly"maybe your right but…"he stopped before noticing something in the distance glint in the distance past some trees. As the jeep moved at the steady pace he hoped out to their shock as vance stopped the jeep.
"Hey get back here!"vance called out as they went after him leaving the jeep behind.
Cardin spritned toward the glint before he eventually got to what it was as he saw something very surprising that being a bullhead. The bullehad had several holes in it that it looks like it had been shot out of the sky. The rear tail of the ship was completely destroyed with wires and metal twisted together. The glass of the cockpit was completely destoyrd beyond along with rust along the edge of the metal. One side of the chip was the symbol of mistral one he was familiar with.
"What in the world happened here?'velvet asked carefully examining the bullhead.
"I don't know looks like a bullhead from the looks of it..maybe cousin camping out in here?"vance suggested
Cardin however isnticlty went to check the inside only to find nothing inside it but when he took a step inside he stepped on something. He looked down and noticed an old rusty looking pocket watch with a symbol on it…his symbol as he picked it up shocked.
He recongized who this was immediately"dad"he said alout catching their attention.
"Wait dad…what are you talking about?"neo signed confused as they noticed the pocket watch. He opened it to reveal a very faded picture obescuring two faces but it showed a younger cardin and mavis still visible.
"Okay this isn't weird though didn't you mentioned your dad died during a white fang attack on a supply run here?"yumi aksed as he nodded recalling what trifa told him.
"But heres the thing trifa told me that the white fang wasn't really against him he was the one decent human surprisingly. They've never conducted raids on menagerie in the past out of a sigh of respect for the chieftain"cardin explained but as velvet stepped in a sandy pile her foot got stuck on something. She began to yank until yanking hard enough detaching something as she fell flat on her butt.
"Ow! That really hurt..what did i…"she stopped as her eyes sank into her skull seeing a skeleton hand gripping her foot. Velvet screeched ripping it off throwing it to the side as vance caught it
"Ah! I don't want this you take it"he said tossing it to his sister who held it for a moment shrugging her shoulder dropping it. Then her interest was peeked shifting through the sand to reveal someone in very worn out attire but yumi noticed a symbol on the back going wide eyed.
"Wait that symbol…thats the knuckledusters. You don't think they killed your dad?"yumi asked to cardin shock
"I..maybe but right now we gotta keep looking for our friend"cardin said pocketing the watch as they continued their search as he might come back here another time.
But right now over in the forensic lab or the morgue right now in the guard station. It was a simple lab with equipment everywhere to anaylzye or dissect any corpses that come their way. Along with some mortuary cabinets that are refrigerated for any dead bodies that come their way. But right now the blairs along with the taupes, fenix and nix where waiting for the results.
As katherine along with saber were checking over the results since it took a few hours but it seemed past the afternoon now as they were waiting forever. But right now some of them were having a troublesome discussion.
"So fifty lien says that dumb brat brought back some random person coprse that he killed"nix said
"Oh your probably right. Seriously saying my dad was one of those things trying to earn good graces for no reason"Sombra coldly said matching the place their in.
Declan huffed crossing his arms"for starters last night was just childish. That women may have grieved but i can see a problem when one arises. All that child will do is cause trouble here probably here to kill everyone"declan stated to his youngest and fenix disappointment.

" your talking crazy from experience you should be their for your team leader. You all work together and are their at your roughest moments and worse times. How would your other teammates react"fenix pressed as the wolf huffed slightly.
"Like i care for that thing. Seriously he toyed with my emotions he can burn in hell for all i care"onxyia replied coldly as her brother just felt hurt right now.

The girl stared at the charred remains in the case because her eyes began to get teary for a moment. Then that same scent filled her nostrils staring down at the name of the case seeing her father.
The girl completely broke down lunging ontop of it hugging it crying right now as her tears stained the class because her father was actually alive but now hes gone again. Lisa couldn't believe it but just sat down crying herself hearing what happened to her love that she lost so long ago.
All of them were quite shocked right now but onxyia for some reason didn't cry as she just felt very shocked right now. That her uncle was actually alive after soo long but now hes gone again just like that.
But part of her wonder one thing why was he even brought here and not taken by atlas. Xander looked down sighing then glared slightly at all of them
