Chapter 17: Traversing The Other Side! Onwards to Mahagony Town!

The call with the professors was quickly ended. Everyone in the party then went around making sure they had enough supplies for the trip to Mahagony Town. They made their way back to Ecruteak City with nothing eventful happening. While they got together in the Pokémon Center for lunch, Clair decided to ask Michael about something.

Clair - "Can I ask you something Michael?"

Michael - "Sure Clair. What is it?"

Clair - "The three Kimono girls we've come across so far. Do you have something going on with them?"

Michael - "Nope. I don't even know who they are."

Twilight - "Yet it seems like they know you."

Dragcaria - "I wouldn't be so quick to say that."

Kronii - "What do you mean by that Dragcaria?"

Dragcaria - "Michael and I examined the aura of all three Kimono girls, and to us it seems more like they're judging Michael's character as a Pokémon Trainer."

Fluttershy - "So they're determining the kind of person Michael is by how he acts as a Pokémon Trainer?"

Michael - "Hit the nail on the head Fluttershy."

Fauna - "Are there any more of them Calli?"

Calli - "There's five Kimono girls in total. We've come across three of them so far, so that leaves two left."

Kiara - "Do you know anything else about them?"

Calli - "Sadly no. I don't even know their names or what Pokémon they use."

Michael - "We'll figure that out when we reach that point. For now, let's just finish lunch and continue on our way to Mahagony Town."

Girls - "Right!"

Soon lunch was over, and the party was on their way to Mahagony Town. Along the way through Route 42, the party had to traverse Mt. Mortar. There Michael found and caught an Azurill and sent it home. Deciding to look deeper into the cave, the party came across a Black Belt with three Tyrogue.

Michael - "Hello sir. Is something the matter?"

Black Belt - "Nothing at all son. it's just that I sadly no longer have the means to watch over these three."

Michael - I'd be more than happy to take them off of you then."

Black Belt - "Would you?!"

Michael - "Of course! Alongside traveling the regions and challenging the Leagues, I also want to catch EVERY know Pokémon across the entire world."

The Black Belt then bowed to Michael.

Black Belt - "Thank you! Please take good care of them!"

Michael - "You have my word I will."

Michael then brought out three Ultra Balls for the Tyrogue trio. The trio turned back to face their former trainer.

Tyrogue - "Thank you for everything sensei. My brothers and I will make you proud."

Black Belt - "I know you three will."

The four shared a final hug. Then the Tyrogue trio walked over and tapped the button on the Ultra Ball in front of each of them, letting themselves get caught. Michael then sent the trio home to his family.

Black Belt - "Where did you send them?"

Michael - "Back home to my sisters and parents. We have a massive field behind our manor. So this way they have more room to train and relax than they would traveling with us."

Black Belt - "Ah I see."

Twilight - "By the way sir. You never told us your name."

Black Belt - "Oh I apologize. My name's Jackie Chun."

Jackie once again bowed to Michael, who bowed in return before the party finally decided to leave the cave.

After no more new encounters along Mt. Mortar and Route 42, the party finally arrived in Mahagony Town.

? - "Michael!"

Michael - "Weiss!"

Michael ran over and held Weiss in the air and spun in a circle, then placed her back down on the ground.

Michael - "How have you been?"

Weiss - "I've been doing good. But as for the town, not so much."

Ruby - "What do you mean Weiss?"

Weiss - "Follow me."

Weiss quickly led the others to the Pokémon Center. Once inside, Weiss led them over to a group of booths.

Blake - "So what's going on Weiss?"

Weiss - "It's Team Rocket. They've somehow overtaken Mahagony Town."

Michael - "Hang on a sec."

Michael quickly brought out his scroll.

Michael - "Gladis. Contact Giovanni for me."

Gladis - "Right away Michael!"

Weiss - "Good thinking Michael. Giovanni's gonna want to know about this too."

After a few seconds, Giovanni's face appeared on the screen.

Giovanni - "Ah Michael. What can I help you with?"

Michael - "Weiss can answer that for you. Go ahead Weiss."

Weiss - "Right."

Weiss quickly explained to Giovanni about the Team Rocket grunts silently overtaking Mahagony Town.

Giovanni - "I see. What about Pryce?"

Weiss - "He's sadly locked inside the gym. I'll admit I want to bust in there and get him out, but not alone."

Michael - "Smart move."

Twilight - "So what's the plan then Michael?"

Michael - "First off. Is there anything new on your end Giovanni?"

Giovanni - "Well after doing some looking between myself and Archer, we've found out the mastermind of who's leading the group of grunts that betrayed us."

Rainbow - "Who is it?"

Giovanni - "Another one of my lieutenants by the name of Ariana. And..."

Michael - "And?"

Giovanni - "She's...also my wife."

The entire party was taken aback at that.

Applejack - "Ya'll joking, right?"

Giovanni - "Sadly no, I'm not."

Michael - "Anyway. I'll make sure to inform you if anything else happens."

Giovanni - "Ok. You all just be careful."

Giovanni then ended the call on his end.

Clair - "Ok. Now what's the actual plan Michael?"

Michael - "First off. Anything else we should know Weiss?"

Weiss - "I did hear a few of the grunts talking about something going on at the Lake of Rage."

Michael - "Ok then. We'll split into two teams. One team with rush the gym and check on Pryce, while the other team heads north to the Lake of Rage. Does that sound good to you all?"

Girls - "Yes!"
