Chapter 18: Stopping Team Rocket, Part 1! Quelling The Lake Of Rage!

Ruby - "So who's on which team?"

Michael - "The gym team will be Weiss, Ruby, Blake, Twilight, Fluttershy, Rainbow, Pinkie, Rarity, Applejack, Clair, Whitney, Bea, and Iono. Me and everyone else will go to the Lake Of Rage. Now let's get moving ladies!"

Girls - "Yes sir!"

Upon leaving the Pokémon Center, the party split into two teams. Weiss led her team towards the gym, while Michael's team went north towards the Lake of Rage. While going north, they passed a building. Michael noticed the sign near the building and silently read it.

-Just A Souvenir Shop. Nothing Suspicious About It. No Need To Be Alarmed.-

Michael - "Huh. Strange sign for a souvenir shop to have."

He then looked around the building and noticed the tree to the building's right. He also noticed what looked like an antenna sticking out of the top of the tree.

Michael - "Ok this building's getting more and more weird by the second."

Soon Michael's party was out of Mahogany Town and on Route 43. While walking away from the city gate, Michael noticed that his communicator suddenly started working again.

Michael - "What?! But it wasn't working at all in the town beforehand. Unless..."

He then remembered the tree with the antenna looking end sticking out of it.

Michael - "Guess I'll find out the truth of that souvenir shop after all."

They then came across another gate.

Michael - "Let's take the long way around."

Gura - "And why should we do that?"

Michael - "Team Rocket's gonna FORCE us to pay a toll. So, we'll just go around them instead of doing that."

Ame - "Good thinking Michael."

Soon Michael's group was around the gate and at the Lake of Rage.

Ina - "I wonder just what Team Rocket's doing here?"

Michael quickly noticed something out on the lake.

Michael - "What's that out on the lake?"

Gura was the first to see it clearly.

Gura - "It's a Gyarados! A shiny one too! And it seems to be rampaging!"

Michael - "Swampert and Delcatty! I choose you!"

Swampert - "What do you need us to do Michael?"

Michael - "Swampert I need you to get Delcatty as close to that shiny Gyarados as you can. Then Delcatty, I need you to hit it with Shadow Thunder so I can catch it."

Swampert/Delcatty - "Right!"

Swampert quickly swam over to the rampaging shiny Gyarados, Delcatty staying perfectly balanced on his back. Once Swampert was close enough, Delcatty jumped up off his back and fired off her combo attack at the shiny Gyarados.

Delcatty - "Shadow Thunder!"

The combo attack hit Gyarados point-blank, weakening him severely. Delcatty then perfectly landed on Swampert's back.

Swampert - "Nice one Delcatty!"

Delcatty - "Thanks Swampert! Now Michael!"

Michael - "Go Ultra Ball!"

The Ultra Ball hit Gyarados, sucking him into it, then falling onto the dry edge of the lake.

One shake.

Two shakes.

Three shakes.

-Click-

Michael walked over and happily picked up the Ultra Ball.

Michael - "Alright! I caught a shiny Gyarados!"

Michael then quickly sent it home, hoping the change of scenery would help Gyarados calm down.

? - "As I thought. That Red Gyarados wasn't acting right. Someone must've forced it to evolve..."

Michael and his group turned to find the trio of Lance, Leon, and Raihan walking over to them.

Michael - "Hey Lance. Surprised to see you here."

Lance - "Hello to you as well Michael. May I ask why you and part of your group are here?"

Michael quickly explained to the trio about what Team Rocket had been doing in Mahogany Town, as well as that the other half of the group was breaking into the gym to free Pryce.

Leon - "That's quite a lot to take in."

Lance - "I'm with Leon on that. However, I do have an idea with what's causing the Magikarp in the lake to evolve at all."

Michael - "I guess you must be talking about that so called 'souvenir shop' in town, right?"

Raihan - "How did you...?"

Michael - "The sign's obvious writing, along with the end of an antenna sticking out of the top of a tree, make it a dead giveaway."

Leon - "That true. Then what do you say to working together to bring the place down?"

Michael - "Sounds like a plan to me. Girls?"

HololiveEN - "Let's do it!"

Soon Michael's team, along with the trio of Lance, Leon, and Raihan, quickly returned to Mahogany Town to put an end to Team Rocket's current plan.
