Chapter 73:Scarfieces
It was still a bright new morning over menagerie over menagerie right now as everyone was up and trying to enjoy themselves in theri comfortable homes. All except for one person who layed on the hard ground for the past two days. That being zane, who groggily woke up with a sore back.
For his new morning routine he cracked his back as a loud crack could be heard. But he felt exhausted right now because he hasn't the best night of sleep even with the nightmares happening. He trys to power through it but they just keep getting wose, last night made him see himself having several deaths threats thrown at him. Then his own friends shot him in the head which might be true now.
"God i wish i would have one decent night of sleep"he muttered to himself.
"Well heres a suggestion why don't we try to i don't know head to your moms house. Then we leave this place to head for havan"bane suggested as he flinched at that. He didn't want to see his adoptive mother get harassed after everything she has done for him over the years. That might be happening but he doesn't want to make her or his sister go on the run because of him. The same went for velvet regretting even being in a relationship with her
"You already know my answer to that bug"he retorted standing up deciding to dig into his provision for the day. As he pulled out a piece of jerky with a small canteen of water, he lucky he knows how to pursue water in the wilderness.
Zane began to eat his small breakfast slowly as it wasn't that filling as his bodie ached a little still since he felt very sore from that fight with conri. But he didn't care because right now he needed to gain some strength. Then leave for havan as quickly as possible stop that attack then…consider something upsetting.
As he sat their for a good few minutes he finished his small meal for the morning as he guzzled the water for a moment. Then once satisfied screwed the cap back on before placing it back in his bag.
Bane hummed in his head"well then what do you suggest we do right now? We could maybe steal a boat to get their"he suggest another option
"Maybe…though the crimson talon are still on the island correct?"he asked himself
"Yep though thats very risky without any weapons bad move to leave them behind in my opinion. But we do got that nifty gauntlet your cousin gifted you with that hidden blade feature"bane replied as he extended his wrist slightly as the hidden blade shot out then flex inward retracting it.
"Yeah but i need to try and get my strength back and…"he was stopped by the sound of rumbling from his stomach as he held it in pain slightly.
"That your starving i know, maybe we could go hunting for some local wildlife on the island. Except for you know the faunus"bane joked making him roll his eyes.
"Maybe your right but i sound clean up to prevent any bugs from getting on me right now"he said to himself as he decided to strip to a pair of blue compression short. But he limped slihglty since his ankle it a little bruised still.
But he undressed completely hoping no one catches him with his draw down as he slipped into the water. Then he began to wash himself as he flicnhed from the very cold water as he adjusted to it after a few moments. But as he began to wash himself his mind began to wander off eslehwere right now. That being whats happened in the last two days.
How he wanted to help save his friends and family but in result he just hears how most of them want him dead. Along with onxyia breaking his heart while left a hole that can't really be filled right now or every even since the whole world views him as a monster. Velvet may still love him it seems but that might end up hurting her sooner or 'll never find love again but it hurt hearing her call him what everyone else has called him.
He sighed for the tenth time today"i guess you hate me huh wolfie…i wouldn't blame you. I hate me too"he muttered to himself continuing to wash up as bane groaned in his head for a moment annoying him.
"Come on i know your hurt kid but come on. Maybe those twins on your team won't be as bad"bane reassured
He scoffed at that"no it'll probably be the same thing…everyone just wants me dead right now. I'm stuck here on an island that i wanted to save…and everyone just wants me dead. Even my own friends…"he replied trying to not cry right now since hes only been doing that since all day yesterday. The parasite hissed slightly before he sighed in his head.
"Come on look i'm still very sorry for putting you in this mess in the first place. "He apolgize to him again like all day yesterday.
"Look i never expected this i…"he stopped as his vision slowly became stained in red like the last hallcuiantion. Then he started to slowly take rapid breaths as the middle of the lake began to turn crimson red like blood. As he was starting to freak out as he kept trying to control his pulse but it wasn't calming down right now.
But as the water kept slowly turning crimson red as something bubbled beneath the surface until it surfaced that being cinder dead body staring at him. This kept happening as slowly it was tanner with cold lifeless eyes with his throat slit open with an eerie grin. Then it kept showing his other friends that he lost during the fall until eventually one popped up infront of him…that being pyrrha who looked at him with cold lifeless eyes.
"No..no…no…no…get the blood off…GET THE BLOOD OFF PLEASE!"he shouted compelty terrifed covering his ears shutting his eyes tight as tears began running down his face. As he could hear distant grimm roar echo along with people screaming as this went on for a bit as he quueitly cried to himself until slowly opening his eyes.
Their was no more blood or bodies in the water as he rubbed his face for a moment sighing before getting out of the water and dressed. Then he decided to start a fire to dry off and wait till he goes out hunting for something to eat today.
Although across the way right now in the belladonna household right now it was a rather quiet breakfast right now. Mainly because it was missing the youngest of the family as they all sat their sielntly eating their breakfast.
As aruna nose was heavily swollen along with being very purple as she grumbled to herself jabbing her fork into her eggs. While ghira was drinking some coffee reviewing those file as summer joined them for breakfast today. Along with that sienna was rocking sorrel in his little mobile crib as he cooed for a bit in their.
Kali sait their eating her breakfast quietly with an upset look right now as she took small bites of her breakfast. While blake looked very heartbroken right now laying her head down staring at her food not even wanting to touch it.
As they sat in silence kali sighed"look about last night dear what are we planning to do now?"she asked her husband.
"Yes because for starters right now i'm very very disappointed in someone. I wonder who"sienna said not even looking at her daughter.
"Oh come on i was just stating fact is all. Guys probably already killed himself or whatever. Did our job for us"aruna codly said as her mother shot her a glare. Then she reached over yanking very hard on her tail almost ripping it off even as she yelped loudly.
"Stop that right now!"sienna shouted as sorrel was beginning to get fussy at that moment. But summer took charge before gently reaching over since she was next to her then she began to gently rock the bengal faunus in her arms
Summer shushed him"shh its alright just be calm. It was just a loud noise just calm down"She soothed for a bit rocking him gently repeating the actions until the baby gently calmed down cooing a little wiggling in her arms.
"I forgot how your a mother yourself dear. I take it you did that for your daughter when she was a baby?"kali softly asked as summer nodded
"I did. She would always be crying over something simple sometimes. Most of the time wanting me or my husband to hold her close. But i still wish i was their for her life…instead of…"summer paused glancign toward the files being the main reason along with someone else.
Ghira noticed her staring closing his eyes"old friend you did what was best for your child to protect her from these grimm hybrids. Though i'm still qutie shocked that we have this information to fight them now"he replied amazed at the intel they have now.
"But back to what i said early stop saying such terrible things. I raised you better to say such things. Right now i'm disappointed to even call you my daughter"sienna said to aruna shock as she felt hurt hearing that but scoffed. As she had on those dual pistols and kodachi blades strapped to her back and hips. Because she claimed them since he didn't want them.
"Hey i'm just stating facts guy could be dead. Plus cousin probably right about all of this being fake"aruna said crossing her arms.
"Right cousin"she added waiting for her cousin to back her up. But nothing came as blake just sat their staring at her food with an upset look across her face right now. Kali sighed seeing that wondering if her daughter felt hurt because she felt hurt what happened after last night.
"Sweetie you've hardly touched your breakfast. Please don't tell me your going to avoid eating right now"kali asked
Blake stared at her with an upset look"i'm not hunger…because right now my own little sister wants to help a monster. That will get her killed and its my fault she lost her leg"she said with a slightly hoarse voice since she cried all night.
Ghira closed his eyes walking over sitting next to her"dear i know what your sister said last night wasn't right at all. But in a way she had a point to be anger, because for the last two days your actions have been terrible"he stated to her confusion if he was trying to scold or console her.
"Are you seriously going to scold me for wanting to protect my little sister"blake growled slightly.
Kali motherly instinct kicked in"no he isn't sweetie. Look we know your trying to make your own decision in life"she said before joining her husband taking her daughters hand.
"But you were very quick on your actions instead of getting more information. For starters…i am scared of that boy myself i can admit"She added to sienna annoyance slightly.
"Kali…this better lead to something good right now."sienna warned
Kali nodded before looking at her daughter who had a slight scowl but very red eyes as she gently placed a hand on her cheek rubbing it.
"But their is always an alternative to father can agree because with your current actions it may lead to something much worse"she added to her confusion as she stared at the ground.
"Whats that…that he kills my little sister"blake said with anger
Ghira gave another disappointed look but gently rubbed the top of her head to calm her nerves which it surprignly did for her right now. As she fought the urge to cry.
"She right in a way dear. Because if you treat someone like a monster eventually become what their viewed as. But that also applies to huntsman in a way because whoever fights monsters should see to it that in the process they themselves do not become a monster."ghira wisely said to her as the cat took his words for a moment scoffing slightly.
"Like it'll matter…we can't even fix this problem because its way too much of a problem. How do we even know these maps are real?"blake argued to the two annoyance. As summer herself was rather annoyed but was very hesitate of him too right now but was curious. He seemed rather normal maybe she should try to find him at some point.
"Dear please listen to yourself. Because i may have been away from the fang for a while but i know for a fact those are the cells"sienna stated
"How would you know exactly mom?"aruna questioned as she got her answer as the door was thrown open. As walking in was saber escorting one person with ilia that being duke in cuffs with about eight guards watching him. They lead the large faunus inside as he grunted at all of them.
Sienna smirked"because i had ilia gather someone that may confirm my theory. Pleasure to see you again duke haven't seen you since you joined up long ago"sienna greeted the bull who scoffed
"Screw you old hag"he signed to their annoyance as sienna cracked her knuckles. But decided to not get side tracked.
"No need for such harsh language i just want to confirm something with you. How many cells do you have in mistral?"sienna questioned to the guards and saber confusion.
"Ma'am he hasn't talked about them at all once. Even my intergatorers can't get a peep out of him. No offense"saber said as duke shrugged his shoulders.
Ghira noticed her play"yes though i take it in total you have about five cells in mistral i take it. one near the academy and three near the lower levels and one near the mountain sides of the capital"he asked as the bull faunus stood their frozen going wide eyed right now. Duke's eyes began to twitch in rage right now before he growled trying to lunge forward as his chains clank but the guards held him back but struggled a little due to the brutes sheer size.
Blake was a little surprised by this reaction as she was starting to doubt her actions at that moment but still didn't trust him one bit right now.
"Whoa…whats up with you big guy you pissed off or something?"Aruna jokignly said as the bull snarled at her making her yelp slightly in fear. As sienna chuckled as her theory was confirmed.
"So this map we procured recently is correct. Thank your fellow traditors trifa and yuma for the help. Who i'm sure are in vacuo trying to prepare shade for any of your cells their."sienna said as the guards began to take him away as saber remained.
"Okay…never expected that reaction. So what those maps are real? Because judging from their appearance. That is the work of an expert strategize i can admit"saber admitted
Summer chuckled"i can say its even on par with my own strategies back in the day. Maybe you should go apolgize to your friend–"she was stopped as blake slammed her hand down.
"I'm not saying sorry to them. This might help with havan but for starters they don't deserve it for what was said last night and the previous night. I don't care i'm going for a walk"blake said walking away slamming the door as kali smacked her face upset because she got her stubborn attitude from her. As aruna rolled her eyes heavily right now.
"Well if she leaving i'm leaving to get my nose fixed"aruna said getting up to leave but that was immediately stopped as sienna pulled her down to sit down.
"Your not doing that your watching your baby brother. While…we discuss this new information that we procured. No butts or else"sienna warned as she was about to argue but gave up taking her brother away to watch over him as she grumbled to herself annoyed right now. As the four adults decided to review the information they have with them at the moment as saber kept an eye on aruna for sienna.
Although right now as the coastline outpost right now was sangie who was very eager right now. Because she was looking at something in the distances as her remaining soldiers were on standby for orders right now. Because they were preparing for their reinforcements.
"Ma'am we prepared a small landing zone for them close by to use"a soldier relayed
"Good because with their help we may be able to take these dam faunus down along with capturing out objectives"sangie replied with her hands behind her back.
The soldier nodded at that"yes it appear so ma'am. We prepared extra bunks and cleared them of those we lost. Along with those that were captured with the last two days. It seems that no one has integrated them yet thanfkully"he replied to her irritation because he might have jinxed them
"Alright soldier but…"She stopped before pulling a sidearm out pressing it behind their back as he could feel the barrel against his spine.
"Say something like that and i'll cripple you where you stand if that happens"she warned as he swallowed hard.
"Yes ma'am"he quickly said to her satisfaction as she removed her gun from his back.
Then in the distance the bullheads began to make theri descent onto the beach as it kicked some sand up. But noticeable on two of the bullheads attached to them where two very large crates from the looks of it. As they were being unloaded as they detached the crates into the sand with a heavy thud.
But as the ships were making their descent the one in the middle of the bullheads right now engines started to die down at that moment. Then the ramp started to drop down at that moment as its occupants soon came down the ramp.
That being yohi being flagged by about four of his soldiers as asani was next to him with a rather nervous demonor.
"Abuil! Why when was the last time me and you had a job together. When was it…three…four…five years ago"yohi asked with a sadistic grin as the women chuckled walking over shaking the man hand pulling him into a quick embrace letting go just as quick.
"It would be about four years ago. We were sent on that job to assainte that group of atlas soldier around the anima if i recall. Dam grunts never stood a dam chance with me, you along with "sangie replied
"How is she heard you where overseeing her operation back in mistral"She added as the two began to walk as asani hung back but yohi growled at her.
"Move it slave right now before i have to punish you again"yohi ordered as she yelped as her mask displayed a scared emoticon.
"Y-yes sir!"asani said catching up matching the two pace as the women chuckled at that.
"Forgot about your little servant that follows you around the place. But to my previous question"Sangie reminded him as he nodded.
"Miss callows has been great as always me and her agree on one thing. And that how we slaughter our next targets"yohi replied as his armblade shot up from his right forearm as he liked it down with a grin as it cut it his tongue slihglty. But he didn't mind the taste of blood something he rahter used to.
"Dam forgot you two are creepy just like her husband"sangie jabbed as he eyed her down.
"But i also got word on the way here that alpha was taken down. The first grimm knight dead…just like that. He was one of our toughest yet what happened?'yohi questioned to the masked girl shocked but also joy right now hearing that mutt was dead. Because she only ran into him a few times but he always scared the life out of her when she saw him.
Though they soon stepped into the command tent as it showed the map of the island. As the previous pictures of the place where still their but now it had a picture of conri with a red X on it saying he was dead. Along with the secodnary objective now being the uras faunus she used to watch over being the only one.
Right now her current primary objective was to find and capture the winter maiden that being a picture of miyuki. As a picture of zane was their with a symbol of omega drawn on his. But their was also to eliminate the faunus leader and sabotage the assault on havan. Though with her current numbers it'll be impossible
"Don't know that dumb brat i used to watch back in the day might have offed him. Someone told me that summer rose killed him"sangie replied peeking the man interest recalling where he came from.
"Well i get to meet the daughter now i get to meet her mother. Along with the mighty qrow branwhen"yohi replied peeking her interest as she laughed at that.
"I take it you eliminated them?"sangie asked but he shook his head.
"Thought so. But right now we need a new game plan because for starters my men are low on numbers. Most of them where captured and followed orders to kill themsleves if need be to prevent intergation"Sangie explained as he chimmed in.
"I take it your wondering how many soldiers i brought?"yohi questioned as she nodded then he gesutred to the bullehads. As from the two others one about ten in total operatives emerged from them at the ready. The other soldier were unlaoding the crates right now for the necessary supplies they depsaratly needed.
"I bring about fourteen of my most trained operatives to assist me. Each worth more over well enough five soldiers each with their current skills. Since i personal trained them"yohi said
Sangie liked the sound of that"good idea although i was thinking of sending spys into the dam town to do some recon. But its impossible since most of my soldiers aren;t faunus filth"she replied before crossing her arms.
"No offense to you old friend i find this place disgusting"she added
"None taken but i have a solution to your problem"yohi said whistling over to some soldiers he brought.
"August! And Liz get over right now!"yohi demanded as two of his operatives rushed over to their aid before saluting to him.
"What do you need sir?"the male soldier known as august asked as the female known as liz kept her salute. Yohi grinned at the two as angie noticed liz having one noticeable feature that being a yellow cat tail her faunus trait.
"I have a special assignment for you two. We need someone to do recon in the town here were tasked to take. August lifted your sleeve up"he demanded as he did just that pulling his sleeve up revealing some pink reptile scales on his arm.
"And what do you want me to do sir?"august asked as sangie chuckled before glancing toward asani who flinched slightly with a scarred emoticon displayed.
"You two are going to play parent to that girl over their. Your going to scout that dam town out for our targets. Then report back to us of your finding along with trying to see if you can dig anything up"sangie ordered as the two bowed to her understanding as they dragged asani away with them as the two were going to prepare to get into civlians clothing. As the girl felt rather nervous right now at what she got herself into right now.
But about a couple hours later right now in the walker residents everyone was up right now. But right now nadia shoulder was healing nicly right now but still needed to remain at her home. Since katherine told her to take it easy for a few days as she could get it healed instantly but she rather not.
Though they were all also told about what happened last night along with all of them preparing to go search for their friend. Vance looked rather annoyed right now at what he;s hearing.
"So let me get this straight. They see all that information on the table and their first thought is that its fake."he asked again it seems as jazmine nodded.
"But besides all that my cousin over here pretty much quit which i do not blame her for one bit"he added as zoey was still upset about what happened last night as her eyes were very puffy right now. As akata was consoling the fox faunus the best she could right now just nuzzling against her right now.
"I'm upset you quit foxy you loved that job so much"akata saldy said
Zoey scoffed"i don't love it anymore when my employer daughter is rude and ungrateful. Seriously that girl has some issues she needs to work on'she replied but jazmine glared at her because that girl was still her sister.
"Hey! Look, I know my sister is being a jerk right now. But she just worried is all…she'll come around i know it"jazmine reassured as some highly doubted that as vance continued his little speech.
"But your also telling me…that dumb bengel faunus said that he porbably offed himself already. Which hearing this note is just making me stress out even more that i wanna rip my ears out of my skull"vance continued gripping his ears tight as neo gently moved them away she rather not have that.
"Relax fish eater, i'm worried now too seriously talking about sucide again so casually. I guess he must be pretty depressed"neo signed as the lynx nodded with an upset look.
Cardin rubbed his arm staring at the pocket watch in his hands"you don;t know the half of it. But what about that sword he made what did they do with that?"he asked peeking their interest on that right now.
"You mean that stupid sword with his ex colors. They probably threw it away out of spite"zoey growled as her tail fluffed up. Which brought an upset look to cardin right now which nadia noticed wondering why he looked so upset about it.
"Why do you look so upset about some dumb sword? What my kid spent a long time on it or something?"nadia asked as he nodded
"He spent about seven hours straight making that thing after he spent most of the morning making those maps. Guys looked pratciuarly exhausted at that point. He wanted to try and apolgize to for hurting his daughter feelings. Which…"he stopped realziing he didn't need to continue.
The tiger felt hurt even more right now hearing that he would make something for that ungrateful wolf. Because if they actually threw that dumb sword away or broke it it'll just piss her off if he spent that much time on it.
"Seriously? Well that make sense how you all got that but another thing how we gonna look for him today. We doing the dunes again because I need to stay here to manage the orphanage. Aint helping out at their training field anytime soon"Colt explained in disgust because nix got stuck training the miltia all by herself right now with some others.
Zoey eyed the map of menagerie on the table for a moment tapping the side of her head to get an idea"look we'll search around the dunes again today. Tomorrow if were lucky we search the dunes just incase but double back to look by the woods close by to here"she said pointing to a spot on the map.
Neo looked puzzled"Why would he camp so close to town exactly?"she signed
"It could be a possibility though i'm lucky you guys didn't throw me out. Since i've been hanging out with my little ilia and cat ears"akasha asked with her feet propped on the table.
Vance chuckled"hey you know why where doing this. Just don't be a double agent because i'll know. Along with any dirty thoughts you have of your girl"he warned making the faunus blush at that as did jazmine which neo noticed making her blush herself. But she eyed her brother who had a cat like smirk.
"What baby sis…thinking dirty thoughts over their or something"vance said like he was enjoying himself. As neo threw a pillow at him nailing him in the face as her cheeks where puffed up.
Yumi chuckled smirking at him"oh shut up. Your probably thinking about nezumi since that women kissed you along with giving you her number before we left"she said throwing him under the bus as he blushed bright red right now to his sister and aunt family amuzemnet. Nadia began to snicker for a moment before going into full blown laughter hearing that right now.
"Oh…oh…that priceless. I know who your talking about even she ten times older than you"nadia said laughing.
"Ha! I'm not the only one teased now…but lets refocus on the task at hand. "Jazmine firmly recfocused them quickly.
"She right we can mess with him tomorrow while we take a small break. We should stock up on dust and ammo. Me, yumi,neo and jaz here can go do that"cardin offered them up as they nodded as they went to get the car ready. As the three journeyed into town toward the nearest dust shop.
Once they got their it was a simple little shop as four reached the shop as neo and cardin stayed outside. While yumi and jazmine went inside to grab anything they'll need. As they waited for a bit cardin kept staring at the pocket watch which neo noticed as she tapped him on the shoulder
"Hmm whats up short stack?"cardin replied
"Nothing much you seem rather fixated on that watch. Was it very special to your father?"neo sighed ehsiantly as he soften his gaze before placing it close to his heart right now because it was.
"It was my dad who would lug this dang thing around everywhere he went. I always asked him why his answer was pretty simple now that i recall why he carried it around"he explained similining caressing the rustic metal on the pocket watch.
Because he wanted to maybe get this fixed up before they left so he could give it to his mom and maybe get more information on who killed his dad.
"What was his explantion?"neo signed as he smiled.
"That when he was far away he could always tell the time wherever he was in the world. Along with making sure me and my sister where with him at all times. Hearing that gangster killed him–"he stopped as someone bumped shoudler with him on accident but didn't respond causing the pocket watch to roll away from him for a bit.
This kept going on for a bit until it landed at someone feet as they picked it up.
"Excuse me young man is this yours?"a male voice asked which was a pale white skinned man in his mid thirites as he had maroon short hair. With a pair of light blue eyes wearing some black jeans with a orange shirt on. As he had reptiel scales colored pink.
Next to him was a cat faunus with blonde hair long reached her back with a pair of deep purple eyes with an athletic build to her. Along with wearing a green skirt with a matching grey blouse presenting her modest bust.
Along with asani next to them sheepishly standing their as neo stared at her weird seeing her with a mask on.
"Oh thank you so much. Sorry slipped out of my hands uh…"cardin tried to get his name as august took his hand
"My name is august this right here is my wife liz"august greeted as liz bowed slightly.
Liz then presented asani who stood their nerovusly"this right here is our adoptive daughter asani say hello dear"she said but asani closed up as her masked showed a scared emoticon to the twos confusion at the moment.
"Whats with the weird mask?"cardin questioned making the mask display a sad emoticon. As liz pulled asani over hissing at him slightly motherly rubbing the back of her head gently.
"Don't be rude! My daugther very self conciosu of her face..she..um…has um."liz tried to find the words but neo eyed the two and the girl. She didn't see any noticeable faunus traits on her which meant she was human as it clued her in she was just like her maybe. As the mute stepped forward pulling her scroll out to text.
"Its alright we didn't know. I take it she wears that mask to hide her face from a birthmark i'm guessing"her text read to asani shock she hit the mark as august nodded.
"Yes, that would be the reason you see where new arrivals here. We've only been here for a month now we only moved to get her away from bullying. Some kids are rather harsh at their current age nowadays"august explained as cardin sighed closing his eyes.
"You can say that again though nice meeting you two and welcome to the faunus island we gotta jet"Cardin said as both jazmine and yumi returned with the supplies needed. As they walked away the two operatives eyed each other smirking that their ruse was a success and they sealed an alibi now. But asani was curious about one thing…could she maybe seek help from these new faces. Maybe help them like she did with those others in deepwald.
Although right now across the way over at the clinic right now was coco and velvet. As the two where their for one thing right now that was getting that stupid cast off of coco arm finally. Because she was actually very excited to finally get it off. As the two were in the waiting room right now.
As coco sat their waiting impatiently right now really not wanting to be here at the same time. Velvet sat their with an upset look still right now which she noitced.
"Bun is something up? You still pretty torn up how everyone is treating each other?"coco asked as the rabbit nodded hugging herself.
"I..i am…seriously i understand everyone is scared of our friend. But to immediately think about killing them after everything we expeirnced at beacon together"she started with a few tears forming in her eyes at that moment which coco soften her gaze seeing right now. She knows how sensitive the girl can be at times.
"I..i just wish everyone got along right now seriously we've been apart for so long. And…and right now i'm wondering if i'm going to lose someone i love…wolfie mad i know but she never gave him a …everyone is so…so…idiotic"velvet continued as she felt someone pull her over that being coco with her one good arm rubbing her back in a ciculrar motion to relax her.
"I know bun. Seriously that stuff we saw along with hearing was messed up. Look i'm sure everything will work out in the end"coco softly said pulling her back whipping a tear away with her thumb as someone called out to them.
" the doctor will see you now, shes in room six with someone to assist her"the nurse said as coco got up
"Thats us bun maybe after this we can all relax tonight. Maybe I can snitch saying how he sang a sweet song to you on the way here"she teased to her embarrassment that she heard that. As the rabbit regrettable followed her toward the back of the hospital.
She never been in a clinic like this depsite it being a medium size clinic it was pretty modern to her surprise. It seems that her possible ex girlfriend's mother must make alot of money to have such a fine establishment.
They walked down the hall for ten minutes reaching the room they were in as coco was the first to open it but frowned immediately. Because the doctor serving them was katherine with xander by her side setting up equipment as the wolf noticed the two.
"Oh its you two, what a surprise are you ready–"She was stopped.
"Sorry wrong room and wrong doctor. I liked to talk to your manager. Oh wait '' Coco snarky said as velvet glared slightly pushing her into the room to her shock as katherine felt rather hurt from that comment right now.
"Coco please don't start a fight right now. Lets get the cast removed then we can call it a day"velvet said but begged with the bunny eyes the girl one weakness as she groaned smacking her face.
"Fine i'll hold my tongue for now bun. But i'm only trusting wolf boy over here with the procedure you can just sit their and be quiet"coco demanded sitting on the table but katherine decided to point out the obvious.
"Actually my son can't operate this equipment because he is not old enough to operate a bonesaw. Granted he used a sword but i'm not taking any chances"katherine chimed in
"Yeah look just let my mom cut it off then you can be on your way"xander said as coco relented. Katherine grabbed the bonesaw turning it on as it whirred to life as velvet was a little nervous but she knew her medical knolwedge it'll be fine.
The wolf then began to cut into the cast as coco kept still the entire time though it'll take a few minutes to saw this off as Katherine had a question for her son and them.
"So…you used to be bullied by that winchester boy. I take it you don't hold any ill gruges from him anymore. Why?"katherine questioned suddenly to their confusion as velvet held her ears gently rubbing them right now thinking how to answer.
"I sometimes do but we actually became good friends after he stopped his bullying"Velvet admitted truthfully.
Coco nodded"yeah but it seem your daughter still holds a grudge don't blame her though. But the guys actually a good guy. He was such a prick back at beacon"coco started her explantation as Katherine continued to saw away at the cast getting over halfway now. As coco decided to tell her the truth about how she feels about him she was happy he realzied his mistakes.
"The guy did realize his mistakes finally after so long. But when the fall happened me and him where the main people to defend those from the bullies."she conitnued
"Oh let me guess people bullied you and other beacon students?"katherine asked as she nodded.
"They did it was terrible…along with some of them spreading rumor. But…some of them were nice,may included along with some others. "Velvet replied
"Yep though over time i learned to forgive the guy. But seriously what your daughter said probably broke the guy, he wasn't treated great at all in vale. "Coco finished as the cast was soon sawed off revealing her free arm as she flexed it freely now as it felt refreshing to finally have that dumb cast off her arm now. The first thing she did was stretch her arms in relief
"Man that feels great i needed to get a good stretch in"coco said as katherine laughed looking glanced at her son who noticed it.
"Why are you staring at me? What gonna discipline me for siding with sis exs"xander growled slightly but it was the opposite.
"Why were you so upset when she kept disrepcting that sword that he made?'katherine simply asked to the three confusion for a moment. The young wolf thought how to answer sighing hugging himself because it was so heartbreaking how they treated it like trash.
Xander swallowed deciding to explain"because…because he kept asking me how to make it up to dad or sis. To apologize for hurting his daughter feelings"he started to her shock that he would even consider that since she knew her husband would be mad if he was even alive again. But felt touched actually he would do that.
"Oh thats nice but…i take it that he took a very long time making that sword"katherine softly asked as the three nodded
Xander rubbed his arm thinking how long it was"he spent at least seven hours making that thing straight. He put alot of care into making it…the thing functions as a hunting pistol but i told him it was too small. Then someone suggested he gift it to sis maybe even teach her how to use it"he finished his explanation as the women felt rather touched by hearing this right now. That he would make something like that and spend all that time to apologize to her family for putting her daughter through her grief.
Katherine sighed retrieving a small clear orange pill bottle with a few pill in them"take one of these for every four hours for a couple days and take them with water. Your aura has healed the wound but the bone still need to heal for another day no physical activity."she replied
"Though I wonder why do you still love my daughter leader? Are you…actually breaking things off?"katherine asked
Velvet rubbed her arm"honeslty I don;t know…but i still love him because he…actually did something sweet to make it up to me"she replied smiling at the thought of his gesture.
Katherine sighed looking down"that sounds nice…though from what I heard my daughter cuddle with you two alot"she cooed slightly making the rabbit blush embrassed
"Good one…though do us a favor. Try to convince your husband and daughter how their acting is wrong alright"coco asked as she nodded that she'll do that as they left the clinic for the two to get to work. But katherine felt rather hurt thinking of inspecting that sword sometime.
About a couple hours later right now in the taupe estate right now. Mainly that being oxnyia with some others walking toward the estate right now. As they were already in the main hall of the grandestate. But her father had a dwoncasted look the entire way here right now as fenix along with bastet joined them. Lavi was left in the care of mari at her house.
But the lion had a trouble look as he stared at declan who looked very troubled right now as his eyes were very red right now.
Fenix sighed placing a hand on his shoulder"my friend i kept telling you that was his bodie. I know it hurts but don't worry at least we made sure that we brought him home. He'll get a proper burial this time"he reassured as declan sighed rubbing his very sore eyes.
"I know fen…look right now i'm very emotional..and..i'm just hurt that my best friend is gone. I'm sure LT and her daughter are devastated as well right now"Declan answered
"I'm sure they are dad, don't worry i'll go check on her to make sure shes alright. "Onxyia reassured him as it did.
"I'll come as well i haven't seen her since she was just a child. I take it you two will discuss with lisa on the funeral service?"bastet asked as the two nodded walking off elsewhere in the house to do that. Which just left the three as onxyia knew her way around the place where sombra room was.
As they walked toward her room sun had his hands behind his head with a troubled look which bastet noticed.
"Dear are you alright you look pretty troubled?"bastet qeustioned as he slightly jumped rubbing the back of his neck sighing
"That obvious huh?"he replied as she nodded as he crossed his arms.
"I'm gonna be trouble when I hear one of my friends talking about offing himself. And that his teammate should be worried about him since her ex girlfriend is"sun said exlcusvily to onxyia who growled slightly as her tail thrashed.
"That thing isn't my teammate the twins are…seriously drop it right now. And so what if were not dating shes an idiot.i'm here to console my friend not talk about that monster"onxyia said as they got to sombra room as the sound of someone crying could be heard. As peeking inside on her bed right now was sombra hugging a stuffed bear right now on her bed crying her eyes out still right now. Immediately onxyia rushed over to comfort her as she wrapped her arms around her holding her close as sombra leaned into it sobbing still.
"Shh it'll be okay…don't worry i'm here for you cousin"onxyia soothed as sombra buried her face into her shoulder sobbing right now. As sun and bastet walked into the room but sombra noticed him blushing slihglty eyeing the stuffed animals in her room internally screaming right now.
"Oh uh…you two are here…l-look…i'll be fine. I've grieved for my dad before"sombra said with her very horased voice.
"Nah your fine cat tail. Wanted to come check up on yah seeing how your doing. Though…'he said picking up a plushie of a monkey.
"These all look handmade you make em yourself?"he asked trying to divert the topic as a slightly warm smile came to her face.
"No my dad actually…despite being a big tough guy. He actually sewed for his free time along with making this stuff for me. He made one for a dumb accomplishment or to celebrate a succesfful mission he had"she said picking up a plushie of a alligator starting at it holding it close for dear life right now. Onxyia chuckled slightly rubbing her back in a ciruclar motion.
"I recall uncle doing that for you alot. But I'm sure he is happy that you're safe and sound right now. Kinda wish he was still here, maybe even save him"onxyia said softly which made bastet eye her down slightly because she and declan sound like hypocrite for what they've said but held her tongue.
As they sat in silence for a good few minutes sun tapped his chin to try and divert the topic and ask Bastet something.
"To lighten things up, how is my new baby sister and my little sis back in vacuo. Your daughter hung out with lexi alot"sun said as onxyia understood what he was doing.
"Oh i remember her…for someone her age she is smart unlike you"she jabbed making sombra laugh slightly hearing that as her tail swayed.
"Hey i've seen stupider people but he might be in the top five"sombra added but wanted to maybe say something else. Bastet sighed at that smiling a little.
"Oh she fantastic right now. Your new baby sister olive is getting along well right now with her. Before we were kidnapped liltih and me visted her to see how sees are"bastet said peeking the other two faunus interest.
"Who lilith? She must be very important to mention"sombra questioned as sun smiled.
"Oh her she my best friend Loki mom. Her and my mom knew each other back in the day along with Lilith's little sister and her other siblings. Though she passed away or whatever a long time ago. What was her name again?"Sun said, trying to recall it as bastet chuckled.
"Her name would be Hel Graves along with lilith sharing her last name. That including her brothers and sister."bastet answered to their confusion for a moment as onxyia found it annoying that she bringing him up.
"I told you not bring that jerk up so drop.."she was stopped
"No i don't think i will. Because for starters you're being rude, that boy made sure her fathers body was returned here for apparently showing kindness to him or something in those labs"bastet explained pointing at sombra who was surprised by that but let her continue. But sun pieced something together quick.
"Wait you don't mean that loki and his mom family is actually his blood family?"sun asked surprised as onxyia was too but tried to push that thought back in her mind. But couldn't for some reason felt happy for him.
"Oh let me guess he visited his stupid family or whatever"onxyia smugly said but the lion had another answer.
"No he didn't. I told him we could make a quick stop to visit them. But he refused saying his friends and family were more important. Only an hour away but instead…wanted to put everyone safety first."baset said
"But he did do something for that rabbit which was sweet…but you don't deserve to know what it is. I'll be downstairs if you need anything"baste added getting up to leave them in their thoughts.
As onxyia just went straight back to consoling sombra as the sabertooth leaned into it. But she was shocked that he scarfieced his one chance to see his family to save them. Part of her wondered what he did for velvet to make her still love is she even caring right now still…is she worried about him.
It seems that the intel they got was infact real which blake doesn't really believe it seems. While it seems that the talon has some backup but now reconing the village to plan something big for the island. Though zane mental state seems to be worsening a little. Thanks for reading!
