Colonel Jack O'Neill, leader of SG 1 turned to his team and said. "Well, this place seems to be a bust. Why don't we call it a day and head back." Just as a staff blast scorched the wall near his head. He reflexively ducked, as did his teammates, Major Sam Carter, Dr. Daniel Jackson and the Jaffa, Teal'C did so as well.
"You were saying?!" Daniel yelled.
"We haven't seen a damn thing since we got here! Where the Hell are they coming from?!" O'Neill demanded to know. Then they heard the sounds of an argument.
"This is your fault!" A woman's voice could be heard yelling.
"How is this my fault?!"
"You're the one who insulted the glowy eyed bitch!"
"She wanted to have sex with me! She wasn't taking no for an answer! What did you expect me to do get in bed with her? Even if she wasn't possessed, one woman guy here!"
"There had to be a better way to handle it then telling her you don't do snakeheads! Why the Hell did you call her a snakehead anyway? I'd have commented on her skanky wardrobe."
"I have zero interest in fashion, remember? And I called her a snakehead, because there's some kind of snake thing wrapped around her brain stem. I'm pretty sure it's running that boat back there."
"Gross. Can't we find one place without possessed people in it?!"
"You're telling me, we can't seem to stop running into them."
SG 1 watched as two people, a man and woman dodged and weaved their way through the staff blasts. The man seemed to know what he was doing and kept them out of the way of the blasts.
"Oh! There's other humans here!" The woman exclaimed. "Hiding behind that building over there, they're watching us."
"Friendlies?" The man asked.
"I think so. I think they're army. They're wearing uniforms of some kind.
"Sir." Major Carter said. "There's no reflective surface anywhere near us. How can she know we're here?"
"I don't know, but they're heading towards us." He answered, as the couple darted and weaved their way towards them. They ducked around the corner and were face to face with SG 1
"Hi! I'm Alexander Harris, people call me Xander. This is my girlfriend, Cordelia Chase. I really hope you are friendlies because we seemed to have stirred up a hornets nest. The badly dressed possessed lady with the glowing eyes wants to kill us. Any chance you can get us out of here? Ordinarily we'd jump out ourselves, but the control device is damaged again."
"Teal'C, Carter, Gou'ald?" O'Neill asked.
"I'm not sensing a symbiote, sir." Carter assured him.
"Nor am I, O'Neill." Teal'C assured him.
"Well I'm seeing one, if that's what that thing in your belly is. It looks like the thing possessing the woman back there. Did we just jump into the frying pan?" O'Neill realized the man was probably in his late teens. Younger then he'd realized.
"No, his is a larva. It replaces his immune system. The one possessing whoever you pissed off, is full grown and it is controlling her. Whoever she is." O'Neill answered.
"Claimed to be Aphrodite. Really don't think the real Aphrodite would appreciate a snakehead pretending to be her. Although if the tv show is any indication, they probably dress alike." The young man said. "Dr. Magnus, it's nice to see you again."
"Who are you talking to?" Carter asked, when she realized they were looking at her.
"You. Dr. Jackson, nice to see you too, how's Vala?"
"I don't know anyone named Vala." Daniel told them.
"My name is Major Samantha Carter." Carter told them.
"Really, because you look just like Dr. Magnus, except she has brown hair and an English accent. You must not have met Vala yet, Dr. Jackson or maybe she doesn't exist here. If she does, my better half says you'll have fifty years with her."
"Look, I'm getting a headache. Those Jaffa are going to catch up to us any minute. We need to get to the Stargate." O'Neill said.
"Sure." The young man nodded. "What's the Stargate?"
"Big circle that lets us travel from one world to another." He told them.
"Cool."
"You would think that, scifi geek. Is it going to mess up my hair?"
"Your hair's already a mess from the running away from the latest people trying to kill us." The young man told her.
"Oh gods, I need a mirror."
Beginning to feel like his head was going to explode, Colonel O'Neill held up one hand and clamped his fingers together. While the young man seemed to understand what the gesture meant, the young woman didn't and continued her diatribe as they headed to the 'gate. The young man seemed to be tuning it out. They had just reached the 'gate and O'Neill called to Daniel to dial it up when Jaffa appeared and fired at them. The young man turned around, waved his hand and sent them flying away from them.
"They've got some of those snake things in their bellies too. Are they in control of them or are they free like he is?" The young man asked.
O'Neill stared at him for a moment, wondering how he'd done that and then said. "They believe she's a god and are in service to her."
"And he doesn't believe that?"
"No, he's started a rebellion against them."
"Neat, like Star Wars."
"Indeed."
"Jack! We have confirmation!" Daniel yelled.
"Let's go, we'll sort this out back on Earth." O'Neill said.
"Again, cool. Haven't seen Earth for a while. Like I said, the control device is damaged and we can't jump out of here."
"Out of where?" O'Neill asked.
"Out of your reality." The young man answered, as he took the woman's hand in his and the two stepped through the Stargate and onto Earth.
