Thunder roared as lightning flashed over an old mansion. A woman opened the window as she took in the air. This was because she's a vampire. Her husband walked up and wrapped his arms around her waist as the two lovers heard the thunder.
"Morning, love." The Male Vampire said.
"Morning, sweetheart." The Female Vampire said, sharing a kiss.
"Where's Vampirella?" The Wife asked.
"Must still be sleeping." The Husband said, sighing.
"I don't think we should let her hang around humans..." He started.
"Sweetheart, we talked about this. We agreed to let her be the kind of vampire she wants to be. We can't control her." The Wife reminds him.
"I know. I know." The husband said.
The two walked toward their daughter's room and knocked on the door.
"Vampirella! It's time to get up!" The wife said.
A young girl groans as she sits up. Her pink hair which had black highlights was sticking out everywhere. She walked over to her dresser and grabbed her brush. Her eyes turn to a newspaper clipping as she brushes her bed hair. On it was the number one monster everyone talked about—the Ghost known as Phantom. Despite how he was treated by the humans, he kept saving the day. Vampirella didn't understand why the humans treated him like a no-good monster, though he was the one to defeat the Ghost King when he was freed from his prison. Lots of monsters were happy to see Phantom stand up to the Ghost King, even the most famous of monsters held the boy in some praise.
Once her hair was brushed, Vampirella walked to her closet and grabbed a black shirt with a pink heart on it. She even grabbed black jeans and her black/pink cape. She got dressed and soon joined her parents downstairs.
"Terror morning, Mom and Dad." She said.
"Terror morning, my little blood stucker." Her mother said, kissing her cheek.
"So, what's new with Ghost Kid?" Her father asked.
"He stopped another ghost and the town people are blaming him for the damage. The mayor of the town is declaring him too dangerous to be left alone." She said, shaking her head.
"Those humans...have they forgotten who saved them from the ghost king?" Her mother said, shaking her head.
Vampirella's parents held the boy in high regard. To see how quickly they turned on someone who saved them made the whole vampire clan upset. Vampirella drinks her blood packet before looking at the time.
"I'm heading out." She said, getting up.
"Very well, dear. Please be careful." Her mother said.
"Don't worry, mom. They never caught me." Vampirella said, hugging both of her parents.
With that, she headed out the front door hearing her father sigh.
A village not too far,
Vampirella stepped out of the storm clouds and into the sun. Vampirella was unlike most vampires. She was a daywalker, a vampire that could stand in the sun and not burn to ash. The weirdest thing about it was the fact she was the only daywalker in her family. No other vampire from her mother's and father's sides could walk in the daylight. But Vampirella didn't let that bother her. She enters the village, having changed her clothes. She still had her shirt on, but her jeans were switched with black shorts. She also had her pink hair tied into a ponytail. She didn't even have her cape on. Many of the people had no idea she was a vampire since they believed vampires couldn't stand sunlight.
"Bella!"
Vampirella turned to see a girl running up to her. She was dressed in a red shirt with blue jeans. She wore white sneakers and har black hair with blue eyes.
"Nicky," Vampirella said, smiling.
Bella was a human name she gave herself since she didn't want anyone to know she was a vampire. Not yet, at least.
"Nice to see you." Nicky smiles.
"Same, what's up?" Vampirella asked.
"Nothing much just got out of my morning training," Nicky said, only for Vampirella to roll her eyes.
"You're skipping training again." She said.
Nicky just gave a cute face as she playfully stuck out her tongue.
"You got me!" She said, giggling.
Vampirella rolled her eyes and giggled with her. Nicky belongs to a group of monster hunters that didn't believe that monsters could be good. Her father was trying to train her to take his place, but Nicky had plans of her own.
The two girls started to talk about other things, mostly about some monsters they heard about. They soon started to talk about Phantom, and how it was unfair how people treated him. Even Nicky's family doesn't think he's behind every attack! Little did anyone know, they were being watched. Watched by a pair of eyes that sneer at the sight of Vampirella talking to a human.
A few hours later,
Vampirella and Nicky stopped for lunch, which Vampirella had to turn down. As much as she wanted to tell Nicky the truth, she wanted to make sure that she would remain as her friend before she tells her. Nicky could never understand why her friend would turn down the food each time. It was like she was never hungry. It was honestly worried her. She looks at her friend, seeing her pink eyes staring into the sky.
Nicky couldn't explain it, but there was something different about her friend. Something that makes her otherworldly. However, Nicky saw her food and headed for the table. Bella followed her before they sat down. Try as she might, Nicky could not figure out her only friend. Bella just walked into town one day and started to chat with her. Nicky felt some kind of kingship with her and the two had hit it off. Strangely, she couldn't shake that her friend was hiding something. She thought it was because Bella needed time before she could share. But it has been months since they became friends, and Bella still hasn't told her.
"Bella?" She asked, snapping Vampirella from her thoughts.
"Sorry, Nicky. Got a bit lost in thought there." She said, making Nicky worried.
"Look, I've been quiet out of respect for us being friends. But I'm starting to wonder if there is anything you're keeping a secret from me. Something you don't want me to know?" She said.
Vampirella blinks, surprised that Nicky knew she was hiding something. She wasn't sure about telling her the truth, but she did seem worried. Maybe she sure tell her. Ease her mind a bit.
"There is. The only ones who know are my parents, and I promise them that I will not tell anyone. You're a great friend, Nicky, and I have thought about telling you lots of times, but I wanted to make sure we remain friends even if I tell you." Vampirella told her.
"Of course we're friends! Bella, you have been nothing but kind to me. You don't even seem to care that I come from a family of Monster Hunters. Whatever your secret is, it won't change a thing about what I know about you." Nicky said.
"Alright, the truth is..." Vampirella started before she spotted a claw reaching out for Nicky's neck.
"LOOK OUT!" She shouted, jumping over the table and pushing Nicky to the ground.
"Traitor..."
Vampirella found herself being yanked off Nicky and slammed against the wall. She notices that she is in a shade, allowing a vampire to hold her without the sun burning it.
"You should be feeding on them! Not playing with your food." It hisses.
"I will not drink their blood! There are more to humans than them being food." Vampirella said, glaring.
"No matter, once I remove you, that girl is next." It said.
"OVER MY UNDEAD BODY!" Vampirella shouted, letting a swarm of bats fly around her.
When they flew off her, Vampirella was dressed much differently. She wore noble-like clothes and her cape reappeared. Her eyes turned into slits as she hissing at the vampire. She knocks off her, making it almost fall into the sun. Nicky's eyes widened when she saw her friend turn into a vampire. Was this the secret that she was keeping?! Was this why she wanted to make sure they remained friends when she told her?!
"You traitor! You will die for your crimes." The Vampire said.
"My clan stands out from the others! We have decided to stop attacking humans because there is no reason to continue a pointless war!" Vampirella told it, standing ready.
The Vampire hisses before changing at her. Vampirella dodges a punch before returning her own. She punched the vampire hard enough to send it flying back a few feet, making it land close to the edge of the shade it was in. The Vampire yanks its burning hand out of the sun before it roars and changes back at her.
Vampirella barely dodges the claw swipe but finds herself being grabbed. The Vampire threw her into the sunlight, thinking she would burn. However, it was shock to see her stand up, with no burning on her. Even Nicky was shocked to see her stand in the sunlight with no burning on her.
"Nice try, it turns out the sun doesn't work on me like the rest of my kind. I heard some call me a Daywalker because of it." Vampirella said, rushing back to the vampire.
Before it could move, Vampirella dug her hand into the vampire's chest, making it scream in pain. She pulled her hand out, holding it bloody/unbeating heart. He gasped as it tried to reach for her. Vampirella crushed it, causing it to fall to the ground and turn into dust.
Vampirella took a breath before turning to face everyone who saw her. She then turned to Nicky, who was still sitting on the ground. Vampirella lowers her hand and turns her and Nicky looks surprised.
"Hey, there. What are you doing on the ground?"
Nicky blinks, those were the same words Bella said when they first met. She looked at the vampire and could see her friend in its eyes.
"Bella?" She asked.
"That's my human name," Vampirella said, looking a bit scared.
Nicky blinks, surprised to see the small amount of fear in her eyes. Nicky grabbed her hand, surprising Vampirella. She helped Nicky to her feet as the girls looked at each other.
"So, this is what you kept secret for so long?" Nicky asked, looking over her "friend" vampire form.
"Yes. I'm a vampire. And unlike most, I do not wish to cause any harm to anyone in their village. It's not how I want to be seen." Vampirella said.
Nicky was surprised to hear that. A vampire that doesn't wish to hurt people? Then again, she did hear her say that during the fight.
"What's a Daywalker?" Nicky asked.
"A vampire that can walk in the sun without any ill effect. It's rare in my clan since I'm the only one that can walk in the sun." Vampirella told her.
Nicky gave it some thought before she made up her mind.
"Well, thank you for saving me from that vampire." She said, shocking many people.
"You're welcome," Vampirella said, smiling.
"So, what do I call you?" Nicky asked, seeing her fangs.
"You can keep calling me Bella if you wish. But if you want to know my real name. It's Vampirella." Vampirella said, feeling happy.
It was on that day, that Vampirella slowly started to win over the village trust. Stopping vampire attacks and showing her true self around them. But this isn't the only monster that chose to befriend humans. This was just the start of a much larger adventure.
Okay, this is not my vampire girl story. This is actually a rewrite of my Monster Heroes story. After looking at it so many times, I thought it could use a bit of a touch-up. Fixed a few things, and maybe do some parts differently. Much like my original, the first five chapters will cover the monsters that Danny will meet and befriend. However, I remember what happened in my original version and I'm going to make this clear now. I'll write all five chapters before I get to the part where everyone meets up. But if the reviews are around 0-1 for each chapter, then you all are treating it the same way as my original. If you don't review it, that's fine. I'm not bothered by that as much, but I don't like the fact I don't get any or that I have one person per chapter. So please, if there's anything you like in this version compared to my original, please share.
So we have Vampirella, the Vampire. She's a bit based on Draculaura from Monster High, but that's only in choice of color. She's the type of character that I made. She's kind and friendly and wishes to prove to people that vampires are not what they hear as. In my original story, she was the reborn version of Lisa, Count Dracula's human wife from the Castlevania series. I might keep that unless that is something you all want me to change.
Up next is Witcha, the Witch. And if you don't like that name, then feel free to give me a better one.
