My name is Celeste prior . My parent are the both leaders of abnegation :Andrew and Natalia prior . I have two sisters and brother : beatrice， Caleb and Maria prior . Beatrice and Caleb are both 6 years younger than me but Maria is 8 years younger
I am 16 years old this year and I know that it is the most important year in my life because I am going to choose a faction for the rest of my life .
However my choice maybe simpler than other children because I only have two in my mind : i can either choose to stay in abnegation or choose to leave it. I have a boyfriend who is from dauntless and he is a current lieutenant in his position: Alan Davis
I met him in one of the dancing party and we fall in love with each other so well. Today is the day before the aptitude test and I am quiet nervous .
"Celeste， come down stair for cutting your hair ." Someone is calling me .
"I am coming Ted ." I say
Ted is my body guard sent by dauntless when my mom was pregnant with beatrice when I was young to protect my safety . I open the door and sneak out the room .
When I get down stair， my mom is already holding a cutter in her hand . Today is also the day of my birthday . The second day of every third month when my mom cuts my hair .
I sit down in front of the mirror， and look at my reflection. Normally we can't look at our own reflection but when our mom cuts our hair when will be a exceptional circumstances .
"Are you nervous about tomorrow ?" She brushes my hair with the comb.
"The test doesn't have to change our decision." I shake my hair ."So I am not nervous at all."
That is true because no matter what the test tell me tomorrow， I will only choose between my family or Alan Davis . If I choose him， then I will have to discard my family permanently .
"So let go have breakfast."'mom smiles at me
"Thanks you for cutting my hair ."
I and mom get downstair into the kitchen . My dad is reading newspaper and my brother Caleb is making breakfast.
I sit down beside my two sisters .
"Morning beatrice and Maria ." I kiss each of them on their forehead ."How are you guys doing ?"
"We are doing so well. How are you feeling sister?" Maria hugs me ."Tomorrow is the test."
"I am doing well. I have to go see my friends after breakfast." I nod at them.
Yeah， after breakfast， I have to go to see him but don't want anyone to know in this house
"Is ted going back to dauntless ?" Caleb asks from over wherever he is cooking.
"Yeah but I don't really want to go ." Ted shrugs ."I can wait for your sister to follow me ."
I don't think that ted and I will make out with it
"Don't messed around. I am sorry Ted ."I shrug
"He is quiet and nice ." Dad says ."Don't be mean to ted ."
"I am not." I shake my head
I feel so weird that why dad can't like other dauntless but he likes ted
"I talked to max about it. Max said he will give you a better job ." Mom smiles at him
"I want to stay here with Celeste ."
Ted seems very determined . However he didn't know my choice .
"I know that but I don't want you to suffer . My dad talked to max already so he wants yo give you a new job." I shrug
after breakfast， I am leaving for my fiend. Ted wants to come but I refuse him. How awkward for him to find out that I am dating app that a girl etold him that he has to be back off for her but she disappeared .
"Oh let me kiss you first ." I drag him closer to him ."I love you."
Alan wraps me in his arms . He seems nervous
"Celeste I love you too." He kisses my forehead .
"Something wrong with you?" I frown."You seem a little nervous or awkward ."
"I am fine ." Alan shakes his head
We walk toward school hand in hand . I lean my head on his arm.
"Are you ready for this?" Alan asks me
"I am so ready. I can't wait to be with you." I giggle ."Are you."
"Can I talk to you after school?" Alan kisses my forehead .
I want to talk to him too. He seems a little off too.
"Yeah sure I can." I smile at him."Will talk to you soon."
I let him go and rush into school. The school today is so loud . People are mixing up together .
"Morning Celeste!"
Uriah waves at me . I and his brother are good friends but both of them are two years and three years younger than me respectively.
"Morning Uriah ， where is your brother?" I ask ."I have a presentation to do with him."
"He is in classroom." Uriah points at the direction of the class room
After class , I am exhausted . The presentation is so long. Zeke is so talkative and I want to have rest
"You did good."
Zeke pats me on my back and I smile at him. I feel a little sick but don't know why.
"Are you okay Celeste?" Zeke sits down beside me . "are you sick!"
"I am fine . Just a little off ." I shake out of daze.
I check my watch. It is the only adornment that we can wear in abnegation because it is considered as practical. It is already time after school
"I should go home or my mom will be worried ." I say
"Okay." Zeke says . "See you tomorrow ."
I walk out the school. Alan is waiting for me and he doesn't reach out for my hand like he usually do
"Celeste, something is happening." He says coldly. "I have something to tell you."
"Yes dear , tells me what is it." I am worried about him
"We have to broke up ." Alan bites his lips . "I am sorry ."
I am shocked . He can't break up with me like that. He can't possibly be .
"What are you saying!" I cover my face with my hand . "How can you possibly broke up with me ."
"I don't love you anymore ." Alan pushes me away. "So you can go home now ."
"Alan , please give me a chance ." I grab his arms.
Alan pulls me away. I can see that he can't look into my eyes
"You still love me right?" I hug him
"Yes is that matter?" Alan smirks at me . "That doesn't matter ."
"What can I do?" I say
Alan doesn't speak. I look into his eyes . I want to tell him that I am not afraid of any challenge
"I am sorry." Alan says ."I can't 。"
He turns around and leaves me alone . I sit down on the bench and start to cry, why is he leaving me ? I want to find out why.
He told me that something is happening but what is happening! Maybe my parent know but if I want to ask , then I have to confess my relationship with Alan Davis
I start to walk to the bus stop. I have to get home on time or my parent will be super angry with me .
My mom is waiting me In the living room. I know that she must heard something.
"Mom"
"Sit down." Mom says gently. "I have something to ask you."
"Yes mom?" I sit down quietly.
Mom looks at me . It doesn't look that she is angry with me but still I am afraid .
"I heard from Erin that you were talking with Alan Davis after school. You were very emotional ." Mom grabs my hand . "Is that rumour about you and Alan true?"
"What rumour are you talking about mom." I am nervous
"That you were with him before." Mom brushes my hair . "Is that right and he broke up with you."
I am shocked . Why people know about us ?
"Mom, it was right. We are done now ." I am crying. "He told me that he loves me ."
"Celeste , he of course loves you. He came to talk to me about you two already but something is happening ." Mom kisses my forehead . "He has to go you know ."
"Mom , what is the thing that are happening?" I say
She doesn't say a word anymore . I have to know it.
"Celeste , that is the reason you lost all your memories before 16. You have to promise me that no matter what result that you get tomorrow , you will have to choose dauntless." Mom grabs my shoulder . "You don't need to forgive him but only choosing dauntless can get everything back ."
"Mom, why what's wrong ? Why I must have to leave?" I am shocked
"Let me say, Alan's idea of doing that is wrong. Sometime the most dangerous place is where the safest for you. There is a big secret hiding behind you. So promise me ." Mom says seriously
I can't refuse it. Especially when I can find out my losing memories . I have to go.
"Sure mom , I will go." I nod at her . "Please take care of yourself and dad."
"Yes we will. Your dad also knows about it." Mom smiles .
I feel so tired and I want to go upstair to lay down . However I have to make dinner tonight.
"Where is ted?" I ask
"He is back to dauntless ." Mom shrugs . "I knew Alan Davis dad so long time ago."
"He wasn't from dauntless?" I raise my eyebrows
Mom shakes his head. Or it can be that mom wasn't from abnegation
His dad was dauntless but transferred to Candor and I was dauntless and I transferred to abnegation." Mom says
