Rocky pov:

As I worked in my lab, which was generously given to me by Ryder, I couldn't help but feel excited about what I was about to create. The lab was a small room, perfect for a pup, with a bed and all the equipment I needed to get started on my project. I called in Henry, eager to get started on the task at hand.

"What can I do for you, Rocky?" Henry asked, his eyes glinting with curiosity as he looked around the lab.

"I need your help with something," I replied, a smile on my face. "Grab those curved screens over there, both the big and small ones, please."

Henry did as he was told and handed me the screens. All that was left was to program them to make them work. I called Ryder on my pup tag and asked him to come over.

"Hey, Ryder. I need you to program something for me," I said, explaining what I needed.

"That might take a while, but I can do it," Ryder replied, leaving the lab to work on the program.

Some time later, Ryder returned with a small computer and the program I had requested. I was thrilled to see it all come together. I asked Henry and Ryder to move the machines to the main area of the Lookout, and we headed there together.

"May I present to you the Animi," I said, gesturing towards the metal tables in front of us. "These are virtual reality machines. I've found a way to access our ancestors' memories through DNA. I know it sounds impossible, but I've managed to do it."

The Animi consisted of two tables, one human-sized and the other dog-sized. They were both made of metal and were designed to allow the user to access memories of their ancestors through DNA. I was excited to share my creation with everyone and see their reactions to it.

The news of what had just happened had spread like wildfire and had caught everyone's attention. The level of intrigue and excitement was so high that Ryder felt compelled to call on his friends Jake, Carlos, and Tracker to come and witness the spectacle for themselves. The anticipation was palpable as they all eagerly gathered around, eager to see what was going to happen next.

"Hey Ryder, could you please start by getting on the human-sized Animus? Thanks. And now Marshall, could you get on the dog-sized Animus, please? Great. Ryder, you'll be going first. Let me see here... Ah, it looks like your ancestor was a Mercenary. So, I'll start with a tutorial for you, and then we'll move on to the closest memory that I can open for you."

"As for you, Marshall, your ancestor was an Assassin. So, you'll also be doing a tutorial before we move on to the memory. I'll make sure to drop you into the closest memory that I can access. Is everything clear to you both?".

They both nodded and I started up the program.

Marshall pov:

As I stood in the empty room, dressed in the Assassin's garb tailored for a dog, I couldn't help but feel curious about my ancestor's legacy. It was fascinating to learn that he was an Assassin. As I pondered over this thought, the machine's voice broke my reverie.

"Hello there, and welcome to the tutorial," it said. "Your first task is a gentle push. You must make your way through the room full of people carrying pots without making them drop the jars. Are you ready?"

Feeling a tad nervous, I nodded my head in affirmation. As the people carrying pots appeared, I moved towards them and started pushing them gently as best as a dog could. It wasn't long before I made it to the marker without causing any mishaps.

"This is your sync bar," the machine explained as I reached the marker. "The more in sync you are with your ancestor's memories, the better chance you have of completing each memory. Think of it as a health bar. If it gets too low, you can complete major events of your ancestor's life, or complete the memory."

I was fascinated by this concept. It was as if I was living my ancestor's life through his memories. The thought of it made me more determined to learn and experience more of his life.

As I progressed further in, I finally completed the tutorial and was dropped into a memory. The environment was dimly lit, and I found myself in a cavern with two other Assassins. To my surprise, both of them were dogs.

As I looked around, trying to comprehend the situation, one of the Assassins turned to me and asked, "Why did you kill an innocent person Sasdri?" It suddenly became clear that I was playing as my ancestor, Sasdri, and what I said next was beyond my control.

"Because he was in our way," Sasdri replied in a calm yet firm tone. I couldn't help but feel a sense of unease as I watched the conversation unfold between the two dogs.

"But you broke the first tenant," the other Assassin pointed out, a hint of disapproval in his tone.

Sasdri seemed unfazed by the comment and simply said, "Let's just go." At that moment, I gained control of my character's movements, and the memory continued to play out.

As I trailed behind them, I caught sight of a soldier coming towards us. I swiftly walked up to them and plunged my blade into his chest, taking him down before he could cause us any harm. Moments later, as we continued on our path, we stumbled upon a group of soldiers, led by a towering figure. Just as I was about to take action, one of my fellow Assassins issued a warning, which prompted me to descend down the ladders.

It was then that my ancestor spoke up, taking control of my actions. "Hey, you're not the only one with business here," Sasdri said, making his presence known to the group of soldiers. Without hesitation, he lunged forward, attempting to strike the tall man. However, before he could make contact, he was caught in mid-air by the towering figure's swift movements.

"You shouldn't have tried that," the tall man warned him, his voice cold and stern. The next thing I knew, I was being thrown into the next room, the doorway behind me sealed shut by a cascade of fallen rocks. I heard a voice saying to kill my fellow Assassins, so I left and went to an entrance.

I entered into a town, apparently an Assassin town. Someone greeted me as I came in.

"Sasdri, I trust your mission was a success?" he said. This dog was a German Shepherd.

"No, we had a bit of trouble," Sasdri replied. After that, I made my way to the castle-like structure. Once I entered the grounds, I saw there was a ban on weapon use, except in the training area. I headed inside and met with the Assassin leader.

I wasn't paying attention, but I knew Rocky would, after the conversation was complete, the machine fast-forwarded the memory, causing me to be back at the entrance. Apparently, we were under attack. I fought off the invaders, which fast-forwarded the memory again, landing me back at the entrance after the invasion.

I made my way up a tower and took my place on a board. I took a leap of faith, landing in a pile of hay. Someone missed, landing on the ground. The other Assassin went to take care of them, leaving me to go ahead. As I went, I crossed beams connecting each cliff. I made my way across and set off the trap. Logs and wood fell on the enemy army, causing them to flee. Once more, the memory fast-forwarded, and I saw myself being held by two people.

"Sasdri, do you know why your mission succeeded?" the leader asked. "It's because you followed the creed. If you followed them to begin with, this never would have happened. Do you need to be reminded of the tenants? Cause it seems like you do. First, stay your blade".

"From the flesh on an innocent." Sasdri finished.

"If you know this, then why did you kill an old man?" the leader asked.

"I did what was necessary," Sasdri replied.

"Because you did as you pleased. Second, Hide in plain sight. You revealed your position before you even attacked. And the worst betrayal of all, Third, Never compromise the Brotherhood. You left your fellow Assassins to do as you pleased." the leader said. He then stabbed Sasdri in the torso. I didn't get to see what happened, because I was pulled out of the machine. Ryder also seemed to be pulled out as well.

"Well done," Rocky said as we went back to our places.

This part was based on the first Assassin's Creed.
