Club 23 - Chapter XXX - The Spring Formal Part 3
"One…two…three…Ho!" shouted Esmeralda and the band started to play again
Esmeralda
I took my baby on a Saturday bang
Boy, is that girl with you?
Yes, we're one and the same
Now, I believe in miracles
And a miracle has happened tonight, hee!
But if you're thinking about my baby
It don't matter if you're Black or White, ooh!
The crowd was getting more into it as the band played along, Esmeralda had gone to the corner of the stage while she signaled Phoebus to stand next to her with his guitar. He played and she sang
Esmeralda
I am tired of this devil
I am tired of this stuff
I am tired of this business

I ain't scared of no sheets
I ain't scared of nobody
Girl, when the going gets mean
Phoebus started to play an amazing solo and got the crowd really fired up. Pocahontas and Megara were really hyping up their friend and Esmeralda and himself shared smiles. She went to the opposite end to grab a hat and a white glove. Phoebus got back to his original position and Esmeralda came back on stage removing the microphone from the stand and starting dancing, the rest of the band started to switch to the next song, and the crowd began to cheer some more before she sang

Billie Jean is not my lover, uh

She moves across the stage

She dances and hits a moonwalk that makes everybody cheer loudly and the band continues to play until she gets back on the middle of the stage to continue
Esmeralda
Billie Jean is not my lover
And she stops and the crowd continues to cheer. She smiles to everyone and puts the microphone on the stand and takes a sip of water, she comes to the microphone and speaks
"So how was that?", she asks and everybody cheers "Seems we're doing pretty good", she looks to the rest of her bandmates. "I think we have time for one more song, give it up for my bandmates Ali, Flynn, Quasi, and Phoebs" They all waved and everybody cheered
Esmeralda got herself prepared, so did the band, and called on the audience for participation
"Ok everybody, can we clap our hands on the rhythm for this one, Hey, yeah, yeah, yeah"
The crowd did that as she sang, the crowd clapped to her rhythm until the band started to play and she continued

Esmeralda removes the microphone from its stand and leans to the crowd

She hits the last few high notes with such power, that the crowd starts erupting in applause
Esmeralda

The band continues to play as she signs off
"Thanks so much! It's been a blast, we are Pacifica's Rose, peace" As they stop playing she jumps to the sky and lands and poses with her arms out as everybody cheers and she gets off the stage, so does everybody else. Waiting for them is Pocahontas and Megara, who congratulate them
"Oh my goodness! You all did so so amazing!", said Pocahontas who was at this point smothering Esmeralda
"Thanks, Poca…but your…suffocating the crap out of me", said Esmeralda Pocahontas had let go slightly and said "Sorry"
"That was killer, really killer", said Megara that gave Esmeralda a tight hug
"Thanks, Meg", said Esmeralda while Aladdin, Flynn, Quasimodo, and Phoebus followed
"Group hug", said Flynn
"Group hug" smiled Megara and everybody in the friend group hugged it out after putting on an amazing performance. This was followed by Jasmine, Rapunzel, and Madelliane all attending their dates
"Flynn that was so cool", said Rapunzel
"Eugene"
"What?", said Rapunzel
"My real name is Eugene, Flynn is something I use as an alias because it sounds cool"
"Oh, well I don't think Eugene is a bad name at all"
He smiled, "I know you don't" as Megara looked on smiling at him, really proud that he was being upfront, Then he whispered something in her ear and went away
Meanwhile…with Jasmine and Aladdin
"Wow", is all Jasmine can say
"It perhaps seems that you were impressed", he says kinda shyly
"I am more than impressed, you did good", she said as he went over to kiss her on the cheek, she looked at him kinda stunned, and he looked confused and a little
"What, you always do that to me, so I decided to return the favor, your welcome", he says as she smiles and says, "Thank you"
After their exchange, he too whispers something in her ear and walks off. Meanwhile Quasimodo and Madelliane and exchanging words
"Well done, Quasi", says Madelliane
"Thank you, I practiced really hard because I knew you'd be watching"
Madelliane felt her heart flutter when she heard that, "Aww Quasimodo, that makes me feel really special", she says, they both pause and look into each other's eyes as they get closer to one another and peck each other on the lips
"Wow", is all Quasimodo can say and he reflects and Madelliane just snickers at his reaction. He snaps out of it because he remembers that he also has to whisper something into her ear
On the main floor, as people are approaching Esmeralda with compliments telling her how good she is, she notices Pocahontas and Megara as well as Jasmine, Rapunzel, and Madelliane all with their dates not present. She goes to the three of them
"Hey you three, where are your dates? Now that I think about it, where is mine?" she says
"Um, excuse me everyone", said someone at the microphone on the stage, and when Esmeralda turned around, as so did everyone else, she gasps
"What in the world is going on here?", she says to herself
