Cinder was alone in the dorm room. Perfect. Sitting on her bed, she pulled her glove off, revealing the metal plating of her prosthetic hand. "Hey-" Cinder turned around so fast she got slapped by her ponytail. Scarlet was staring with wide eyes. In less than a second, Cinder was in front of her. "Tell this to anyone and I will curse you into your 5th year. Got it?" Scarlet nodded and Cinder sighed. "I'm sorry, it's just that not everyone accepts me because of my prosthetic." "It's fine," Scarlet said. "I think it's cool, and I'm sure Kai will too." "How-whatdoyoumean?" Cinder asked. If she wasn't a cyborg, she would have been redder than her tie. "Oh, come on, Cinder. I know you like him, and he probably likes you too." "Um… fine, I do." Her two other roommates, Abigail and Gabriella came in and started fangirling. "I knew it! -insert fangirl squeals here- Cinder likes Kai!" "Oh boy," Cinder said laying down on her bed.
Levana:
Levana's eyes widened. "What do you mean I'm not the heir to the Blackburn vault? My sister, Channary and her daughter Selene have died. I'm the only living heir!" The messenger backed up towards the door. "I'm so-sorry, Ms. Blackburn, but this is what the goblins have said. If you have any concerns, you may go directly to the bank and ask the goblins. Farewell."
Levana sat down and let out a blood-curdling scream. She had worked so hard. She waited patiently for Channary to die. She had made sure that the fire had killed her niece. She was the only remaining heir to the Blackburn vault, unless…
What if Selene was alive? She had tried to make sure she died in that fire, but she never really did see a body. She had assumed that the ashes were all that remained. Could the doctors have been lying to her? That couldn't be, everyone in the Blackburn Mansion loved her, right? Of course, she made sure to use her gift at all times. But a tiny voice at the back of her head told her that controlling someone's feelings would not make them love her. Levana dismissed the thought. She was the sole heir of the Blackburn family, the leader of the Lunars, the one with the silver crown on her head, sitting on the Blackburn throne. She would find a way to open that vault, whatever it took.
