-December 12th, somewhere in the 1900s, yet in a world where humans are rarely seen and known.-

"Mom?", asked a shy voice, and eyes opened from the sensation of crunching on grubs, smiling at her adoptive human son, "Yes, Tarzan?", as Tarzan rubbed his arms, "Do you think they'd like me?".

Kala was about to respond before a boisterous voice replied, "They will like you for sure, Tarzan, no doubt about it!", and Kala glanced over to see a bouncing lion cub, and Kala chuckled, "And good morning to you, Simba. About time you joined us for breakfast.".

"You didn't see Mother yet?", Simba blinked in surprise, and Kala smiled reassuringly, "It'd be okay, Simba. After all, your mother was making sure that her birthing den isn't too far from home, and that the trail will be easy on the new children's paws and such.".

Tarzan replied, "You don't think that they would have hands instead?", and Kala shrugged, "Perhaps. It was a miracle that Rakifi helped us out, even after we found you, dear Tarzan, and of course, having you as a gift from Sarabi's old friend.".

Simba grinned, "Mufasa is cool for being a dad when he comes around occasionally!", and Kala chuckled, "Indeed. Now, boys, don't leave until you finish breakfast.", and the boys nodded, "Yes, Mom.", beginning to eat alongside Kala.

30 minutes later, there was a sound of leaves crunching and branches shaking, and Kala ducked her head, her arms hunched into a defensive position, her fangs bared, "Hide, you two! Quickly!", and a few minutes later, a head peeked out of the bushes, "Relax, my love, it's only me.", revealing a kind lioness with a warm smile.

Kala looked relieved, "Sarabi! You frightened me! I thought it was Sabor for a moment there.", coming out of her defensive position, and Sarabi chuckled, "I do not blame you. Now, where are my boys?".

"Mother!", Tarzan and Simba clamored, nearly tangling with each other as they came out from behind a log, and Sarabi purred, nuzzling Tarzan and Simba, "You grew up some, darlings, and did you behave for Kala?", with a raised eyebrow.

Tarzan smiled, "Yes, Mother! Are you okay? Where's our baby brother or sister?", and Sarabi smiled warmly, "I'm more than just alright, Tarzan. Just walked slower than usual to watch over your little sisters.".

Simba widened his eyes, "We got sisters? More than one?", and Sarabi chuckled, "Oh, yes. Twins. Come here, little ones, it's safe.", as she walked out further from the bushes, waving her tail, and six-week-old infant girls walked out, giggling and walking shakily.

Tarzan widened his eyes, "Oh, wow! They're different from each other!", and Kala wrapped a gentle arm around Sarabi, "Oh, Sara, they're beautiful...", never taking her eyes off her new daughters.

The one in the lead is an auburn pelted lioness cub, yet having dark brown skin on the underbelly, with gorilla hands at front, while having lioness paws at the back, with a tail tuft of dark auburn, and having sunset-colored eyes.

Simba blinked, "Golly! The second girl looks like she could help you out, Tarzan at picking fruit, and maybe swing too!", and Tarzan nodded, noticing the second girl who is a bit more shaped like a gorilla, with feet and all, but yet she got Sarabi's dark brown fur, Kala's warm brown eyes, and having a strange formation of ears almost like a mix of big gorilla ears with lioness fur ear rims, and a tail tuft of black.

Tarzan replied, "They're kinda cute, actually. Did you name them yet, Mother?", and Sarabi shook her head, "No, and I was rather hoping that you two would help name them.".

The boys looked at their mother and mom, "Really?!", and Kala chuckled, "It's only fair. After all, Sarabi named Simba, and I named Tarzan. Well, shall you be their big brothers with the first time of knowing them?".

Simba grinned, "Yeah! I want to name the first one, is that okay, Tarzan?", and Tarzan smiled, nodding, "It's okay with me, Simba. So, what are you gonna name her?".

"Well, since she's pretty special, and bright-eyed, I like the sound of Luma.", Simba smiled, and Sarabi purred, licking her son's head, "Oh, that's a wonderful name, Simba! Luma, it's perfect.", as Luma gave a squeaky meow, smiling brightly.

Kala smiled, "It fits her so well. Now, my son, what are you going to name your second sister?", looking at Tarzan who hummed, looking at his second sister, wondering as he tried to think before grinning, "I got it!".

"Oh?", Sarabi asked, and Tarzan nodded, "I want to name her Adinia!", and Kala blinked in surprise, "I never heard of that one, Sarabi?".

Sarabi shook her head, "No. Can you explain, darling?", smiling at Tarzan who smiled, "I was stuck between two names; Adia and Nia, and I knew that Adia meant 'a gift', and Nia meant as 'purpose', so why not a gift of purpose?".

"Whoa, that's actually brilliant, Tarzan! I like it! Adinia, and we can call her Dana for short!", Simba complimented his brother, and Tarzan blushed bashfully, smiling, looking up at his mothers, "Is that okay, Mom, Mother?".

Kala beamed proudly as her hand ruffles her son's hair, "Oh, it's more than okay, dear Tarzan, it's perfect. A gift of purpose. Yes, I can see her assisting Rakifi if she wants to, and she's one of our gifts, our miraculous gifts.", as she nuzzled Sarabi who purred happily.

"Yes, I agree. Adinia, indeed.", Sarabi smiled happily, and the named second girl gave a purring meow, smiling before both of their bellies grumbled, and Kala laughed warmly, "Good thing that I got some fish this morning. Come on, let's go home to our nest den.".

Sarabi chuckled before Simba blinked, "Mother, can we carry our sisters, please?", and Sarabi smiled, "I don't see why not, just be careful.", and the boys nodded as Tarzan gently picked up Adinia to rest on his back, feeling her fingers grip easily into his skin and hair while Simba gently picked up Luma by the scruff.

The new makeshift family then headed on, smiles and hearts full of love as they delighted in the new infants' squeals and giggles of joy as they rode/held still by their older brothers securely. Indeed, it's a day of new miracles and all.
