Chapter 6

It was Monday morning and Blossom was just finishing up her classes and was meeting up with her sisters as usual. She hadn't seen them since Friday. They had been busy getting ready for exams so this would be her first time seeing them in a bit. As usual she waited five minutes before Bubbles popped out. She was wearing a pair of blue jeans and a black camisole covered by an unbuttoned flannel and her hair was in its usual two ponytails. Blossom thought she looked rather cute. Bubbles waved cheerfully at her sister and flew over to her.

"Hey Blossom, how were your classes?"

Blossom sighed, "Exhausting, we have an exam tomorrow and I'm stressed. I know I'll pass. I just feel nervous for my first college exam."

Bubbles gasped, "Oh so scary I can't imagine having to do all those classes you and Buttercup are doing."

"Well it's not for the faint of heart. Speaking of Buttercup, where is she? She's supposed to be here so we can discuss the boys."

Bubbles waved it off, "Oh she texted me saying she wouldn't be able to meet with us she had to stay late for some extra help on some of her classes."

"Ugh well I wanted to discuss you and her not watching the boys. Have you forgotten that we have a job to protect the people of townsville?" Blossom scolded.

Bubbles gave Blossom a cold stare for a minute but changed it back to her usual bubbly expression. Blossom almost missed it with how fast she changed expressions.

"Well Blossom, that's what I wanted to discuss with you. Buttercup is no longer going to be watching Butch-"

"What!"

"And I am no longer going to be watching Boomer. They aren't a threat and we aren't babysitters and besides you haven't been watching Brick at all. I know this because he and I speak on occasion and he tells me that you haven't been doing your hero duties."

Blossom was at a loss for words. She wanted to scream at Bubbles for her disobedience and for even questioning her. But Bubbles stopped her from doing or saying anything with a tight hug.

"Blossom I know you are the oldest and responsibility usually falls on you but you have to understand Buttercup and I are our own people and so are you. Since we got here no since we were kids it's always been to protect townsville we have to be mature and save this town. No more Blossom, we're eighteen. Enjoy your teens, we wasted our childhood and I will not waste my college time on babysitting reformed villains unless I feel the need. Blossom I know you had to mature as the oldest a lot faster and you know what I understand but relax stop being such a stick in the mud and enjoy college. We are still heroes and if trouble arises we will be there but until then can you please stop as Buttercup said being a grandma!" Bubbles stated.

Blossom was taken back. She hadn't been the best sister since college had started. She knew that and she did see it as unfair that her sisters had to watch the boys whereas she didn't. She didn't know she was being such a sour puss to her sisters and she wished she could just change their whole first couple of weeks of school to better positive thoughts. She knew she was being hard on the boys but she couldn't help it; she wanted to protect everyone from danger. Blossom looked at Bubbles and gave a smile. She was happy Bubbles had grown a bit of a spine to stand up to her. She hugged Bubbles and thanked her for setting her straight.

"I may be a stick in the mud but just know Bubbles I do this to protect you and Buttercup. I love you girls and I guess I haven't been fair lately. I am sorry but I did have to grow up faster than you two. I had to be the protector of townsville and your oldest sister as well. I guess I forgot that I was also a kid and through the years I had become a bit of a prude. I'm so sorry." Blossom explained.

Bubbles giggled, "Oh no it's fine Buttercup was on the call so she heard everything."

Blossom rolled her eyes and took Bubbles phone and put it on speaker.

'Well at least you admitted you were a grandma.' Buttercup shouted over the speakerphone.

Blossom huffed, "I'll never say it again."

The girls laughed and Blossom asked what was on their agenda. Buttercup decided to come out with it and tell Blossom she had work. Blossom had to take deep breaths and told Buttercup congratulations and that she was proud of her. Bubbles also told Blossom she had a job and Blossom gave Bubbles a pointed look but congratulated her all the same. Blossom decided to come out and tell the girls she had a job as the biology teachers assistant. Of course Buttercup cursed Blossom saying that was hypocritical of her to judge while Bubbles shook her head in disappointment. Blossom blushed and apologized to her sisters.

"Girls, let's agree for now on, let's just be honest with each other." Bubbles stated.

Blossom nodded, "I agree."

'Ditto. But I have to go. I have to meet with my teacher now, bye girls.'

Buttercup then hung up and Blossom stared at Bubbles asking her what she was up to. Bubbles stated she was going to get Robin and then grab lunch and head to work. Bubbles asked Blossom the same question to which Blossom stated she was just going to study and get ready for her exam that was tomorrow. She didn't know when she was going to start as an assistant to Newks but he said he'd email her with the details so until then she just had to wait. Bubbles hugged Blossom once more and flew off. Blossom gave a small smile and flew to the library coffee shop where Susan was waiting for her with the usual group. She ordered herself a latte and sat down with the group eager to study for the first exam that was tomorrow.

Buttercup groaned heavily as she got off the phone with her sisters. She was happy Blossom acknowledged her bitchiness but she knew that it wasn't going to be long before Blossom started being uptight again. Buttercup had no time to think about that as she visited with her teachers. She had her first exam tomorrow and she was freaking out. She had talked to all her professors about what she had to study specifically to pass. She was nervous and she felt unprepared. She had work as well so she was going to have to study and work at the same time. She huffed angrily and flew to her dorm to change into her uniform. Syd was already there, uniform was on and makeup was set. Buttercup sighed and quickly changed, putting her hair in a low ponytail and grabbed her bag with her keys and essentials already packed. Syd and Buttercup then walked to her car and started getting in. Syd sighed and looked at Buttercup as she started the car.

"So did you and Butch end off on the wrong foot or something? You seem agitated."

Buttercup blushed, "What no, I have my algebra exam tomorrow and I'm a bit nervous."

Syd giggled, "So then what happened with you and Butch?"

"We smoked a bit more and skateboarded around trying to one up each other. Nothing more nothing less." Buttercup explained.

Syd frowned, "Ugh so boring, well I'm sure you'll be able to study since the boss won't be there today and I'll be the supervisor today."

"Oh thank God."

Syd laughed as Buttercup sped to work and parked in the closest space possible. The girls then got out and made their way to the store they worked at. Buttercup immediately claimed the cash register and set her books up and notes to look over. It wasn't busy so time went by smoothly. Syd let Buttercup take a break after working four hours knowing she needed to eat. Buttercup thanked Syd and grabbed her stuff and walked to get a quick bite to eat and continue study.

"Hey Buttercup."

Buttercup groaned and turned to Butch who was wearing his usual uniform and had his hair slicked back. He grinned and handed Buttercup a bag. She looked in it and saw a burger with fries and a shake in his hand. She turned red but gave him a cold stare.

"And what is this for?"

Butch shrugged, "Eh I had the money and got two burgers thinking I could eat two."

Buttercup rolled her eyes and walked away with the food and drink in hand. Butch sped up to her and asked if she wanted to smoke in the back while she ate. Buttercup stopped and thought it over for a bit before agreeing. They both hauled ass for the back and found a secluded bench in the back of the mall. Only employees parked in the back so Buttercup was sure no one would see them smoking, lucky her. Buttercup took a huge bite of the sandwich and stuffed some fries in her mouth as well. She had no need to be ladylike around Butch. Butch chuckled and lit his blunt and inhaled it smoothly. He then handed it to Buttercup who swallowed her food, took a swig of her shake and took it quickly and puffed on it ever so gently. She then took a moment to enjoy the smoke entering her lungs. The way it heated her inner body as well as outer body. She exhaled oh so slowly enjoying her slight buzz. She handed the blunt back to Butch and continued munching on her food.

"So want to hang at the skate park after work?" Butch asked.

Buttercup wiped her face with her hand, "Can't I have an exam to study for tomorrow."

"Right umm well would you want to hang in my dorm?" Butch hesitantly asked.

Buttercup glared, "Butch why would I want to hang out with you in your dorm?"

"I was just asking. Look, we aren't enemies, you know." Butch stated.

Buttercup crumbled up her trash and shot it into a far away trashcan and stretched. She took the blunt from Butch inhaled enjoying it to her core and then gave it back to Butch. She looked him dead in his eyes and grinned.

"We aren't friends either."

She then walked back to work missing Butch's hurt expression. She got back to work and relieved Syd for her break. While studying Buttercup handled the cash register, customers' questions, and stocking the floor. She was lucky for her powers or else she would have been in the trenches. It started to get packed around six and Buttercup and Syd were pissed. They closed at nine and they were hoping for a peaceful night so they could lock up and get home at a relatively nice time. That was not going to happen. Buttercup inwardly screamed wishing people would just go home. Once it was nine there were still wanders coming in much to the girls dismay.

"Buttercup I promise we will get you home to study."

Buttercup shook her head, "Honestly Syd I have been studying for the past week if I don't know it then that's on me."

"Hmm want to smoke after this or did you and Butch do too much on your break?"

Buttercup blushed, "How do you know about that?"

Syd smiled, "Girl you smelt like weed when you got back and I saw Butch walking with you out to the back."

"Ugh you're so nosey and no I think I just want to get to the dorm's shower and go to sleep." Buttercup explained.

"I agree you stink."

Buttercup playfully punched Syd and started cleaning up and shutting everything down. They closed up and walked to the car. Buttercup asked if Syd wanted to get something to eat real quick Syd happily agreed and Buttercup drove to the closest McDonalds. They ordered two big macs and large fries with large lemonades. Buttercup then sped off and ate in the car with Syd reminding her to keep her car clean and to pick up after herself. When they got to the dorms Syd cleaned up her trash and went to the dorm. Buttercup stayed back to make sure everything was in order before she locked up her car. She then raced to her dorm, looked at the time and saw it was hitting eleven. Buttercup sighed and went to take a quick shower and wash up. Syd decided to just go to sleep and take a shower in the morning. Buttercup just called her lazy to which Syd gave her the finger telling her to enjoy her shower. The showers were empty so she was happy to be able to shower in peace. She ended up taking a forty-five minute shower so she immediately changed into her black pajama pants and black tank top. Her hair was in a little high ponytail so it could dry a bit better. While walking back to her dorm Buttercup felt a chill down her spine and quickly turned to see Butch. His hair was dripping wet in his face and all he had was a towel wrapped around his waist. Buttercup stopped herself from turning red and just decided to walk away and not acknowledge Butch. She could hear him laughing which made her angry and she wanted to punch him.

"Oh good luck tomorrow on your exam."

Buttercup turned back to Butch and saw he had a sincere look on his face. Buttercup was speechless; she never thought Butch rough annoyingly stupid Butch would be wishing her good luck on her exam.

She gave a small smile, "Thanks."

Butch smiled and walked towards his room and Buttercup did the same. She let herself turn red and blush as she thought about Butch for a minute. She thought about how he had matured and how his tattoos made him look sexy. She thought about how much bigger he had gotten and how hot he looked when he smoked. She thought about his six pack and awesome tattoos that he had and quickly shook her head. She was just tired and out of it from studying so much. She fell on her bed and looked at the ceiling before nodding. She was just tired and needed some sleep.

Bubbles flew off to go to her dorm. Robin was already there with a cute pair of blue jeans and long sleeve striped black and white blouse. The shirt obviously showed off way too much cleavage but that was what Robin wanted. Robin had her name tag on and her purse ready. Bubbles grabbed her name tag and bag and was ready to go. Robin looked at the time and sat on the bed.

"Wait, we have time. So tell me what happened with Mike."

Bubbles frowned and flew over to Robin, "We umm we talked that's all."

Robin scowled, "You better tell me now!"

"Ugh fine, well when I was going to get the drinks he found me and cornered me. He said he wanted to talk but I pushed past him saying talking wasn't an option."

"Ooo you go Bubbles tell him what's what. Stand your ground."

"Well he kept following me so I decided to hear him out so he could leave me alone. I told him he had five minutes. He wasn't happy but he asked if we could talk about ourselves and our relationship. I said no and he got on his knees begging to talk to me. I told him he could meet me after work." Bubbles stated.

Robin squealed, "You knew I would want to eavesdrop omg I love you."

Bubbles laughed, "Whatever now come on we have to go or we'll be late."

Bubbles and Robin walked to Bubbles' car and got in drive was nice. Bubbles made a detour to get a quick latte and muffin for her and Robin. When they got to work Marc was there wearing skin tight pink pants and button up shirt with blue and pink flowers adoring it and his hair was gelled up. Robin and Bubbles smiles happily greeting Marc.

"Oh hey girls, nice to see you here on time and ready to work. Now Bubbles I have you stocking and Robin you will be working the front as cashier alright."

Bubbles and Robin nodded happily and started working in their designated areas. Bubbles made sure everything was neat, stacked and folded. She liked her job and she knew Robin loved it. The construction men would come in from time to time to get water and relax for a bit and Robin happily flirted with them. Bubbles would engage with the customers and answer questions. She would also help style the customers up in cute outfits. She absolutely loved it.

Marc gave the girls praise telling them they were doing a great job and how he appreciated their help. Robin gushed and waved him off saying it was no problem. Bubbles just rolled her eyes and thanked Marc for the compliment. Throughout the day it was packed there was no downtime and it was nice to keep busy. Some students from the college also came for outfits and lucky Robin because she would get the scoop on everything. Bubbles used her super hearing while she took care of the customers and found out there was going to be another party soon.

She knew Robin would tell her more details later so Bubbles vigorously stocked, folded, and helped customers throughout the day. Once it was time to close up Bubbles and Robin cleaned and Marc walked the girls out to their car. He thanked the girls again saying he'd see them tomorrow and then left in his mercedes benz. Robin drooled as he left.

"Bubbles."

Robin and Bubbles looked to see Mike walking up to them wearing a pair of blue jeans and a black band shirt. Robin grabbed Bubbles keys and told her she would be in the car. Bubbles nodded and watched as Robin went to the car but not before shoving Mike a bit. Bubbles had to stifle her laugh. Mike walked up to Bubbles with a crooked smile on his face.

"Thanks for agreeing to see me."

Bubbles huffed, "You have five minutes."

Mike frowned, "Look Bubbles I miss you alright I miss you a lot I can't stop thinking about you."

Bubbles snorted, "Oh please you're lying."

"I'm not. Look, I made a mistake and I promise I won't make it again."

"Remember when I broke it off with Kevin? He and I were together for freshman and half of sophomore year. Then we broke up. Do you remember why?"

Mike flinched a bit, "Because he was trying to pressure you into sex."

"Exactly correct! So remember when we got together and were dating junior year and senior year. What did you do? Do you remember?" Bubbles asked coldly.

Mike looked away, "I tried to pressure you into sex."

"Ding ding ding you are smart after all. So why would I want to be with you after all of that?"

"Look I've changed alright I want to try again with you please." Mike pleaded.

Bubbles rolled her eyes, "Sorry but no now don't you ever come back around here again or try contacting me or I'll call the cops.

Mike scowled but walked away. She heard him muttering under his breath that she would be sorry but Bubbles paid it no mind. She sighed and then got in her car Robin was cheering for her saying she was awesome and cool. Bubbles did a bow and sped off to their dorm. Robin ordered pizza and they ate, danced, and had fun. Before they knew it was time for bed. Per usual Bubbles woke up around three in the morning to pee. She tiredly did her business and washed her hands. She felt a chill up her spine and looked around for the danger. She looked and saw a wet Boomer. He gave a small smile and patted Bubbles on the head.

"Good job telling that Mike guy off."

Bubbles blushed as she turned away from Boomer and thanked him. Quickly floating back to her room and going to bed.

Blossom was having the time of her life she was studying with her classmates and drinking her good ole cup of joe. Susan was confident that she was going to pass so she focused on some of her other classes while she also studied with the others. After an hour Blossom got an email from Newks setting up her schedule for the assistant job. She would be working for ten dollars an hour. She would meet him in his lab to grade papers, straighten up the lab, conduct experiments prior to class, and set up lab equipment. Blossom couldn't wait; she was to start Tuesday at four.

She showed Susan the email and Susan cheered with glee. She was so happy for her friend. The group all decided to head out to eat and to take a break from studying. Blossom couldn't say no. They all decided on a cute little restaurant that had breakfast, lunch and dinner. Susan was sweet enough to pay her and Blossom. Blossom appreciated her kindness. Lunch with the group was nice. They discussed the exam saying they were aiming for nothing lower than a ninety-five. They sat and chatted for a good two hours before they all decided to do some solo studying. Blossom told Susan she would see her tomorrow and went back to the library to study alone. The library was a peaceful and quiet place to study at any time. Blossom ordered another coffee and sat down to study. While studying she felt a shiver down her back. She ignored it thinking it was just nervousness for the exam.

"Geez you're always drinking coffee?"

Blossom sighed heavily, "Brick what do you want?"

"Oh nothing, I'm supposed to be meeting with some girl who needs help studying." Brick answered.

"Who would ask you for help you're not smart, your intelligence is that of a rock, you and your brothers." Blossom stated.

Brick glared at Blossom causing her to unintentionally stand down.

"My Brothers are pretty damn smart and I think no I know I am smarter than you." Brick gloated.

Blossom laughed, "Oh please you I am probably the smartest girl at this school."

"See I wasn't even talking about school smarts. You're arrogant you always have been and that Blossom I can promise you will be your downfall."

"You don't know anything. You're just a criminal out for good behavior. I am on to you. I know you're plotting something and my sisters and I will be ready to stop you and your brothers."

Brick held his hands up in defeat, "You got me, I'm here to better myself and get a chemical engineering degree. And Butch is here on scholarship for soccer. Oh and Oh no my poor brother Boomer is here for game designing on the programming side. We are up to no good."

Blossom was turning red from anger she was about to blast Brick when a red haired girl walked up to him. Blossom scowled at her red extensions and tight blue jeans and red shirt that showed way too much. She flipped her obviously dyed red hair and turned to Brick with a seductive smile.

"You ready Brick, we don't have much time to study together. I'm so nervous."

Brick all but ignored Blossom and nodded, "Oh Jessica you'll pass. Come on, let's get some coffee and we can head to my dorm to study."

The girl known as Jessica smiled and gave Blossom a nasty look before ordering and letting Brick pay for her. Blossom scolded them as they walked away wanting to freeze them where they stood the girl more so than Brick if she was being honest. Blossom took a deep breath and went back to studying. She studied all the way up until ten. She went back to the dorms, took a quick shower and headed to bed. While heading to her dorm room she felt a chill and turned around quickly. She saw Brick walking to his room with a book in his hand. He was so into it that he didn't even notice got a glimpse at the book and saw it was a chemical engineering book. She didn't think Brick was that into studying and getting his degree that he was trying to get ahead of the game. Blossom huffed wondering if he had an evil plan in the book or if he was plotting something big. She decided to not think about it and to just focus on her exam tomorrow. Blossom was thankful Cathy wasn't in the room and fell into a deep sleep.

A/N Sorry it's late but Merry three days late Christmas. I wanted to explain that Blossom is like that because of always giving herself the adult role in life. I don't hate Blossom lol. It's just that people such as I turn into prudes when we get older because we are the oldest and have to grow up faster. That is how I made Blossom. I did dial it back a bit. Some of you were PMing me and left reviews about the Blossom thing so I fixed it. I just wanted to get another chapter out to you guys before I start school back up soon. I do hope you guys are enjoying the story. Please feel free to comment and review and I hope to get another chapter out soon before school starts back up. Possibly new year's I don't know.
