Author's Note - Hello everyone! Hope you all had a Merry Christmas! I was able to finish up the next chapter so here you go! Just some quick replies and then I'll let you read it
s0ul - Yeah, I deleted that as soon as I saw that. What is wrong with people?
Guest 1 - Took a while to get the reunions going huh? Did you like how they went?
Guest 2 - The guy was brought in to counter Midnight if she was gonna use her quirk, since its sleeping gas. Midnight was sent to the downpour zone because she tried to rescue her students but ended up being warped along with them.
Guest 3 - The villains knew which teachers would be there thanks to the lesson plans but they didn't know the students' quirks because they weren't in those plans. Since the teachers are well known, their abilities and quirks are known but not the students. That's why Tomura paid attention during the initial battle to see what quirks the students had. Some however, like Tsuyu, weren't able to use their quirks since they were stuck in the group with no way to use their quirks without causing issues.
Guest 4 - What happened to Midnight is definitely gonna cause ripples in many things. Her fate was actually foreshadowed by Nighteye in an earlier chapter when he had looked into her future and so gave her a cryptic warning about it. And no, he only saw what happened to her, not the USJ incident itself.
Thanks for the compliment about "Dark" Deku. There's been hints at his bottled up anger and it's gonna be important throughout the story.
Dropped - Yes, I do agree with you that what happened to Midnight was gross. And yes, PART of it was to portray how realistic the villains are. A true villain would use anything and everything to their advantage to get what they want. Especially if they believed that they were going to win because Tomura gathered them up and said they were gonna kill All Might and the students and do whatever they wanted. Of course their inhibitions would be gone.
But, I have to ask, where did you get the implication that I agreed with the characters of their denigration(sullying her name for those who don't know what it means; I didn't at first either) of Midnight? Just because Katsuki said something of the sort, doesn't mean I agree with him because of what happened to Midnight. It was even shown how Midnight was able to take out many of them before she was overwhelmed. Did you forget that more than a dozen unconscious villains were found by the students when they came back to see if she needed help? That they even believed that she had headed to the exit and decided to leave because they BELIEVED she got the job done and they shouldn't have worried?
Also, there's nothing wrong with the students wanting to check on one of their teachers when new information comes up (the villains who came after them and Katsuki cluing them in on a possibility). That does not mean in any shape or form that they 'denigrated' her or her name (except for Katsuki, but let's be real; he does that to everyone because of his issues).
You say you won't claim that such mature content is wrong for this platform and yet you complained about it because you believe that it wasn't handled appropriately and that it was only included as a cheap way to generate drama and make the protagonist mad...
I can understand where you're coming from. But...what?
I believe that you're forgetting/missing some very important context. Did you forget about Nighteye's prophecy he told to Midnight in an earlier chapter? Here, I'll copy it from the chapter for you right here...
"That which you believe in will be your undoing. You're going to suffer for the rest of your life as you cling to false hope until your passing. And you're gonna die a horrible death with the only good thing in your life being the one light that never went out, shining on you as you move on."
That literally foreshadowed that Midnight was gonna go through something horrible and gonna suffer for a long time. That what she believes in (her quirk) would be her undoing and it was, because of the gas absorbing villain. And as I said above in a previous response, the villains knew the lesson plans and which teachers would be there, who are popular and everyone knows their quirks and abilities. Hence being prepared for Midnight specifically. The other heroes, just needed to beat them up for the most part, barring All Might needing a counter too.
And it definitely wasn't just to make the protagonist mad. Izuku has already shown bits and pieces of his anger already before that and this was another unfortunate thing that caused his blood to boil.
This isn't gonna be some 'cheap way to generate drama' because what happened to Midnight is gonna cause ramifications and it's not gonna be just swept under the rug or not be an issue for the person who went through it like other stories.
I always say this and I'll say this again whenever someone questions why I put certain things into my stories; everything I put into my stories has a purpose to it. Nothing is put in just because. Everything gets connected little by little. If you read my other story, "The Blue Spirit", you should know.
Again, I understand what you're saying and I'm gonna chalk it up to how you hate that particular action (sexual assault) and I do as well. I don't condone it in any shape or form. I didn't even like writing it, but unfortunately, I do know that it happens in this world and can definitely happen in a story. I don't know how else to word this, but some stories horribly use it with no actual substance to it while other stories have that heinous action be for "something" and not just thrown in for the hell of it.
I do hope that you continue reading the story so you'll see what I'm talking about. But if you don't, that's your choice. Thanks though for giving it a shot and take care.
Alright everyone, with my replies done, here is the final part of the USJ! Enjoy!

CHAPTER 018 – TO BE A HERO
"What are you drawing there sweetie?" asked Inko as she glanced towards the silver haired girl.
Eri stopped what she was doing and looked at Inko shyly. "I'm…I'm drawing Izu," she said quietly.
"Oh, that's great. May I see?"
Eri looked at her picture before picking it up and showing it to Inko. "It's…it's not g-good, I-I know but…"
"No, no Eri, this is actually pretty good," interrupted Inko as she looked at it. Sure, it wasn't some world famous art piece, but it wasn't horrible stick figures either.
"R-Really?" asked Eri.
"Yeah. I'm sure Izuku would love it," replied Inko kindly with a smile.
"Thank you," replied Eri quietly. Putting the picture back down, Eri continued drawing.
After Izuku and Toshinori left Nezu's office, the principal of UA asked them what they'd like to do. Eri asked if she could draw while waiting and within a couple minutes, one of the UA staff brought up some colored pencils and white paper for her to draw on. Inko was content with just taking it easy and waiting but Nezu wouldn't allow just that. As a result, there were several snacks and drinks on a propped up table that was brought up. After thanking the kind principal, Inko and Nezu ended up having a discussion about several things. During that time, Inko checked in on Eri every now and then while readying some snacks for the little girl. That was when she found out that Eri apparently liked apples very much since she ate several after Inko cut them up for her.
"By the way…" started Inko after watching Eri draw for a bit and turned to face Nezu. "…I've been meaning to say this when the chance comes up and now seems like a good time." Nezu nodded at her and she continued. "Thank you for everything that you've done for us Principal Nezu," said Inko before bowing her head a little from her seat. "I wouldn't know how or where to begin to repay you back for all the kindness you've shown my Izuku and myself."
Nezu smiled before replying back. "You're welcome Mrs. Midoriya but please, raise your head." He waited until she did so and he continued. "And please, don't mention it. It's been a pleasure since that first day we got acquainted and I hope for more times like this where everything is going well."
"Agreed." Inko smiled before taking a sip of her tea. "May I ask you a question?"
"You just did but you may ask me more."
Inko chuckled. "Well, I've been wondering…UA is a university, right?"
"More like university-slash-academy. And private since we have a lot more leeway in how we do things here. But basically yes, it is," informed Nezu jovially.
"Right. Well, since it's like that…I've been wondering…shouldn't your title be 'Dean Nezu', not 'Principal Nezu', then?" asked Inko.
Nezu's smile grew a little more. "Well, if you follow that logic, then yes, you're correct. But I like the sound of 'Principal Nezu' more. Has a better ring to it and it does mean the same thing since it stands for the one who has the ultimate authority and responsibility of their school. Since that person is me, I can do what I like and whoever doesn't like it…well, too bad for them."
Inko was surprised a little over his answer but then remembered who she's speaking with. Unable to help herself, she laughed while shaking her head in amusement while Nezu chuckled.
"What's funny?" asked Eri, seeing the two in high spirits.
Calming down, Inko turned to Eri. "It's nothing sweetie. Just two adults sharing some-"
*WHAM*
Nezu's office doors being slammed open suddenly cut off Inko and two people shouted as they practically fell into the office. "PRINCIPAL NEZU!"
"AAAAHHH!"
"ERI!"
As Inko rushed to console Eri who began shaking and started crying out from being scared all of a sudden, the two arrivals tried to let their principal know of what was going on. And said principal was actually astonished over what just happened so much that he was startled and thrown for a loop. While he was silent for a moment, the two started talking loudly but all they could do was say a handful of words at a time thanks to being out of breath.
"HELP!"
"SENT US!"
"VILLAINS! USJ!"
"ALL MIGHT!"
"Alright, that's enough!" demanded Nezu as he hopped onto his desk and spoke loud enough for them all to hear. Glancing over at Inko and Eri, with the latter being comforted by the former, he then faced the two first years. "I assume something happened and that's why you're here shouting rather concerning words, but please take a breath and explain yourselves clearly."
Doing as instructed, both Tenya and Juzo took in several deep breaths before one of them started speaking. "Principal Nezu, our classes and teachers have been ambushed at the USJ by villains! And…"
As Tenya explained, Juzo cut in every now and then to add more information that he believed was necessary. Near the end, they said how they were able to escape. How they ran into All Might. And how they were told to come inform him of what was going on.
Once they finished explaining, Nezu wasted no more time. He quickly went back to his computer and began activating his emergency protocols. "I'll handle the rest from here. Thank you gentleman. Go see Recovery Girl so she may check on you."
"But sir, I…"
"Can't I…"
"No. You already did enough by letting me know what's going on. I promise you, I will do everything possible within my power to save everyone," said Nezu in a serious tone while keeping his gaze on the computer screen. Activating the emergency shutdown procedures while simultaneously contacting his staff as well as his contacts with the local authorities to head to the USJ, Nezu quickly did what needed to be done.
Finishing up, Nezu stood up on the desk and locked his gaze with the two first years. "I believe you two have somewhere to be." Unable to say anything over the rather frightening expression on their principal's face, both Tenya and Juzo nodded and left the office. Nezu turned towards Inko and Eri. The young girl calmed down enough to not be crying anymore but she still held onto Inko tightly. "Stay here please. You'll be safe here while I go make sure everyone's alright."
After Nezu left without waiting for their reply, Inko kept her hug on Eri and rocked her gently side to side to help calm her down. "Ssh, ssh, everything will be alright, sweetie."
"I-I'm…s-scared," whispered Eri while holding onto Inko for dear life. "I…I-I want…Izu…p-please…I want my Papa!"
As Eri started crying again, Inko did her best to not cry along with her. For she felt saddened that Eri was so afraid again and she became very worried about her son. Inko heard everything that the two said to Nezu. And saying how someone else in a green costume was with All Might, Inko knew without a shadow of a doubt that her son would've gone with the number one hero to help out.
The only thing Inko could do was to stay strong for Eri. She couldn't break down herself and cry, like she usually would've done in these types of situations. Instead, she would stay strong and be the support that the young girl needed. "I know Eri…I know. But don't worry. You're safe here. And Izuku will be back soon. He's just helping out the others. Okay? He promised didn't he? He'll always be here for you. And so will I." Inko gently rubbed Eri's back while hugging her to help calm her down.
"O-Okay…"
Inko smiled a little as Eri hugged her tighter and sniffled while in her embrace. But then she heard Eri whisper for her papa and Inko's smile faded away. She looked towards the windows that now had metal covers over them. Izuku…please, be safe and come back soon.

How long has it been?
*WHAM*WHAM*WHAM*
I still have time but I feel my strength becoming less and less…
*POW*POW*POW*
I'm getting slower too…
*BOOM*BOOM*BOOM*
No matter how many times I hit this THING, it just won't stay down!
*BOOM*POW*WHAM*
"ACK!"
Shit, he got my injury again! Gotta dodge! Gotta counter! Still nothing?! DAMN IT!
All Might was doing his best to take down this bio-engineered creature. Even after wailing on it for God knows how long, it still kept coming. Never before had he met such a resilient opponent. Even his most despised person in the whole world couldn't last this long. And what was worse was he could feel his strength slowly leaving him and that shocked him. He still had time so why did it feel like he was passing his limit already?
Delivering another right hook against the creature's head, it barely turned to the side a bit before snapping its gaze back to his. Screeching right at him, the Nomu went for a overhead strike but All Might was able spun to the side at the last second to evade it.
That was too close! I gotta come up with something fast! I hope Aizawa and Vlad are doing better than me!

"You know, you really are something," commented Tomura after barely dodging a strike from Eraserhead. Countering with a strike of his own, Tomura jumped back a bit after it was deflected to the side. "To think, you can fight with me while keeping your sight on Kurogiri."
"I won't make another mistake and let that bastard take my students away again!" spat Shota angrily.
Sekijiro swung his blood blade against Tomura's side but the villain dodged it. "Get back here!"
"Now why would I want to do that Vlad King?" spat Tomura with narrowed eyes. "Then again, it seems that the two of you have lost your touch. You were able to take down dozens of villains but both of you against me and you can't do anything. Is someone tired? Or am I just too much for two old pros?" mocked Tomura with a smirk under his hand mask.
"We'll show you how tired we are!" yelled Sekijiro as he lunged forward with another strike.
Tomura however jumped to the side and even while in the air, he twisted his body to avoid the haymaker from Eraserhead. Landing on his feet, Tomura pushed off it and jumped back a good distance away from the two pros.
"Slippery little prick!" growled Sekijiro.
"Just stay on him. He'll trip up soon," said Shota as he took in a breath and kept his eyes on Kurogiri who was keeping his distance from them all.
Though he was keeping a smirk on his face, Tomura was feeling annoyed. They're seriously starting to piss me off, thought Tomura while staring at the two pros in front of him. Glancing to his side, Tomura saw how Nomu and All Might were still fighting. I need to turn things back in our favor. Using his peripheral vision, Tomura saw something that made him become surprised. Did they all get back?! How?! They were outnumbered and they should've been sent to the worst zone for most of them! Movement made him return his gaze back to the pros and in doing so, he also remembered where Kurogiri was.
Thinking about all that…the pros against him…Nomu and All Might fighting…Kurogiri's position…his quirk being erased…and the students at the entrance…a plan started forming in his head.
"Kurogiri! Get ready for when I say so!" yelled Tomura before moving forward to engage the two pros.

"How long has All Might been fighting against that monster?!"
"I don't know man…"
"This is crazy!"
"But he'll win in the end right?"
"Yeah, it's All Might!"
"He'll never lose!"
"If that was the case, shouldn't he have won by now?"
"Well, that hand guy did say that he has Shock Absorption."
"Shock Absorption?!"
"Yeah, but apparently he's also got Super Regeneration too."
"Two quirks?! No way!"
"But that's what the villain said. What was his name again?"
"I think he said it was Tomura Shigaraki. And he could be lying."
"Oh that's right. But it makes sense."
"Shit, no wonder he's still fighting for so long."
"Shouldn't we leave from here?"
"And where would we go? Who knows if there's more villains outside…"
"But All Might came and broke down the doors. He probably took care of any villains if there was any."
"Plus, Iida and Honenuki have gone for help and they're pretty fast."
"That's right! Help's probably on the way."
"If that's the case, then we should stay here because we have the high ground and only two directions to defend."
"Let's not forget some of us are injured and tired. Probably a bad idea to move right now without some serious backup."
"In any case, hopefully reinforcements will get here soon and All Might beats that monster and everything will be alright."
"Yeah…hopefully."
The students of classes 1A and 1B had regrouped together at the top of the stairs in front of the entrance to the USJ facility. The initial group that was there welcomed the first group from the Ruins zone. Next was the group from the Landslide area and after that were the ones from the Mountain zone. The groups from the Conflagration and Flood zones were going up the stairs already when the ones from the Downpour zone called out to them and joined them in gathering with the others.
Almost everyone from both classes was glad that their classmates were alright. Though many of them were sporting injuries, they didn't seem to be anything worth worrying over for most of them. However, some were dealing with more than just physical problems and were barely able to keep themselves from falling apart at the moment.
Ochaco stayed by Thirteen's side the entire time. She was her all time favorite pro hero and Ochaco didn't want to move away from her until help arrived to take her to the hospital. However, as she stayed by Thirteen's side, she did talk with her classmates to find out what happened to them. Shocked over hearing what they went through, she couldn't help but feel the stirring feeling inside her again when hearing about a green and white costumed person helping out most of them. And that feeling only intensified when she was told his name and that gave her proof that what she thought was the truth.
Jurota had regained consciousness at the entrance after being carried there and asked what had happened. After learning how he went on a rampage and endangered his classmates, he became filled with shame and regret. He apologized to them and swore that he'd repent for his mistakes. As they tried to reason with him and tell him that it was alright, though Minoru didn't say anything about that, Jurota refused and said he still had to. For now, he was keeping to himself and staying silent while keeping a watchful eye over their surroundings. And at the same time, did his best to ignore his headache and the bruises he had sustained since he believed he deserved it.
Ibara had kept to herself mostly, even after reaching the entrance. Still wrapped up in the green blanket since she had no other method of covering herself, besides her vine hair of course, she was doing her best to not break down again. When others asked about her being quiet and if she was alright, she felt overwhelmed over the attention. Sensing her distress, Toru let them know that it was personal and to give her some space. They understood and left her alone but some did give the religious girl a few looks of concern. Ibara was appreciative of the invisible girl who promised that she was here for her if she needed anything. But even then, Ibara was only able to keep from crumbling thanks to the image of her savior in her mind's eye.
Momo had barely talked with anyone, saying no more than was needed. Even when she was asked if she was alright by others, who were Itsuka and surprisingly Ochaco, Momo just nodded. She told them that she just needed to rest and eat since her lipids were low. That was the truth but it also gave an excuse to not say anything because her mind was racing. And almost every single thing that crossed her mind involved a certain green haired young man. She listened in on the others talking around her of what they went through and what Izuku did for them. She felt happy that she had finally crossed paths with her savior once again and was impressed over how he was able to seemingly help almost everyone. But there was a small part of her that was feeling something else that was causing her uneasiness.
Kyoka was another one who kept to herself mostly. She did talk and interact with her friends and let them know that she was alright when they checked in on each other. But after that, she remained quiet but stayed near them. Kyoka heard the others' stories about Izuku and what he did for them. She knew that most of them didn't know who he really was but didn't say anything just yet, since they were still in an emergency situation. She figured it was best kept for later and that they needed to stay on high alert. It was funny that only the girls from both classes knew who he really was. But she was glad that he was able to help most of them out.
Tsuyu stayed close to her friends after reaching the entrance area. She was still shaken from her near death experience. She told them what had happened and they gave her a group hug that helped her feel some comfort over it. She felt that Kyoka wanted to say something and when she glanced at her, the purple haired girl told her who saved her. Astonished over hearing it was Izuku Midoriya who saved her, Tsuyu couldn't believe. Even with that bit of knowledge however, Tsuyu did her best to not succumb to the negative thoughts and feelings that had plagued her recently. Her friends staying by her side helped and so did a certain image in her mind.
She wasn't the only one dealing with that either. Yui was even more quiet than usual that her close friends Itsuka and Setsuna quickly noticed. After learning what happened, they didn't leave her side again. Appreciative over their protectiveness over her, Yui had hugged them tightly while thanking them in barely a whisper. They just smiled and told her that it wasn't necessary to thank them with Setsuna saying that the tripod had to stay complete. While the three of them remained together, Itsuka and Setsuna tried to gather information from others after sharing their own experiences of what they went through. After learning of that, the three of them felt and thought so many things. Especially for Yui, who became even more silent while her mind raced and her heart thumped loudly in her ears as the image of the one who saved her stayed in her mind. Yui kept between her two close friends while they spoke with their fellow first years.
Eijiro and Denki were both glad to find out that their classmates were alright. And what made them even happier was finding the respective girls that they were interested in being safe and sound. Eijiro wanted to talk to Mina and see how she was holding up. Denki wanted to do the same with Kyoka. But both of them couldn't talk with them for different reasons.
Denki kept glancing at a certain purple haired girl. He wasn't able to muster up the courage to ask if Kyoka was doing alright. Even though he was actually near her, he still couldn't do it. He still felt guilty over what he caused to happen to her in the cafeteria. And she was barely interacting with her friends. He believed it was out of fear or stress and if she wasn't talking with her friends, she definitely wouldn't want to talk to him right now either. With that belief in his mind, Denki did the only thing he could do; just glance at Kyoka every now and then.
Eijiro saw how Mina was sticking close with her friends and even when she happened to look at him too, he nodded at her with a slight smile. Giving him a kind look, Mina then returned her attention to her friends. Figuring that she was still upset with him but also glad that he was alright, Eijiro took that as a good sign. He didn't want to push more right now and felt better so he was happy about that for the moment. And he focused instead on being aware and trying to keep his friend from blowing up.
Speaking of his explosive friend, Katsuki was at the top of the stairs looking down at the fighting going on in the central plaza. He was gritting his teeth and had his arms crossed because he was annoyed again. For one, the others from both classes kept talking about making some plans to escape or defend. Or they were talking about some green costumed jackass in either excited tones or hushed whispers. But Katsuki didn't care and would either yell at them to shut up or he'd move away from them before they could really talk and didn't hear what the bastard's name was.
He didn't care about any of that bullshit. All Katsuki cared about was fighting villains and beating them because that's how heroes won. And that's why he was watching the fighting in the central area from the top of the staircase. He was waiting for a sign, an opening that would allow him to get involved in the fight. Katsuki wanted to fight so badly that he almost wanted to just forget about what the teachers said but knew that he'd cause more trouble than good.
Katsuki knew he had great power and skill but that unfortunately wasn't enough to keep up with the two behemoths clashing. And he knew that Aizawa would suspend him the moment he tried to join his fight against that hands bastard, Tomura Shigaraki. Instead, he kept his gaze on the one he swore vengeance on. The misty villain hadn't moved from his spot for a while now and Katsuki was watching him like a hawk. He was waiting for the moment that he tried to do something and that's when he would get him with a direct explosion. That would be his opening to get involved.
Sudden extreme winds shot through their area again and the students there were barely able to stay on their feet. Regaining their balance, they all looked towards the central area and found the two titans staring at each other. One was standing without issue while the other panted heavily. Commenting with each other about the fighting, they wondered what was going to happen. None of them knew what to do besides wait and watch.
Until one of them noticed something and pointed in that direction while slightly shouting out the following words; "Hey, what's that?!"
Glancing at Mina first, they then turned towards where she was pointing. They couldn't see anything for a second until they found something moving between the trees near the stairs. Thinking it might be a villain, they prepared themselves for a fight.
But when the moving figure exited the trees and revealed themselves, most of the students there relaxed a bit after realizing who it was. A handful wondered over his appearance while one of them growled at the sight of him. The ones who saw his capabilities first hand wondered why he wasn't moving as quickly as he did before. They kept watching him come closer and come up the stairs towards them. When he neared close enough to them, they realized he was carrying someone and most of them either gasped or yelped in horror and shock once they saw the person's face.
"MIDNIGHT SENSEI?!"
"What happened to her?!"
"Oh my God, why is she…?!"
"Who did it?!"
More questions were asked but Izuku shouted over them to halt their questionings. "NOT NOW! Is there any first aid left?!" asked Izuku hurriedly, coming to a stop in front of them.
It took a couple seconds before someone spoke up. "We have some left here!" said Yosetsu.
"Us too!" spoke up Hanta.
"Good! She needs help fast! And...And some privacy…I can't help her so she needs others," stated Izuku as he glanced at some of the girls near him. Understanding him, they nodded and moved to grab the first aid from the guys while Izuku moved a little away to the side. He knelt down onto one knee and then lowered Midnight onto the ground as gently as he could.
"We'll take it from here," said Reiko with her eyes locked onto the pro who was unconscious but making wheezing breaths. She knelt down beside her and so did Setsuna, Yui, Itsuka, Mina, Kyoka and Tsuyu. Both Reiko and Mina felt especially horrible at seeing the heroine in such a state because they felt guilty over what happened to her.
Glancing at the girls around him, Izuku then stood up and stepped away while seeing them working together to help Midnight. He didn't know their names except for Kendo and Jirou. Believing that Midnight was in the best hands possible at the moment, Izuku said a prayer in his mind while his hands clenched into fists. Please, be alright Midnight Sensei! He missed the glances that some were giving him.
"What did they do to her?!" asked Mina in a low voice.
"Do you really wanna know?" asked Itsuka.
"No but…what the hell?!"
"We must focus on treating her wounds. Speculation can come later," stated Reiko who was doing her best to stay calm and not panic or become hysterical. If she did, it would be the first time she let loose her emotions in a very long time.
"I know Mina but she's right, kero. Just focus on helping for now," advised Tsuyu. She was also disgusted and angered over what she's seeing. But she kept her level head and knew that helping their teacher as much as they could was more important right now than getting emotional. And she hated to admit it, but she was glad to do something that helped her not think about her own close encounter with death. At one point, she wondered if that made her a horrible person but pushed that thought from her mind. It wasn't the right time to have an internal debate.
Turning around, Izuku walked back towards the rest and it was then that he noticed many looking at him. "Is this everyone? Anyone else missing?" he asked them, choosing to stay focused.
"Just Todoroki," replied Sato.
"Todoroki?" asked Izuku while tilting his head.
But before anyone could explain, Katsuki spoke up as he stepped towards the helmeted new arrival. "Forget that frost bastard. He's not important. Who the hell are you?!" he asked demandingly.
Katsuki's actions caused several to look at the blonde with frowns on their faces over how he was behaving towards someone who helped most of them out. Many of the girls even glared at the blonde bombardier that included the ones attending to Midnight before quickly refocusing on her.
Typical Kacchan… Izuku had ignored the blonde bombardier when he first arrived with Midnight and ignored him again. He didn't feel like dealing with him right now and he had a feeling that if he did reveal himself, his old childhood friend would not like it. Not wanting to open that can of worms at the moment, Izuku deflected the question. "That's not important. I have to find everyone and bring them here. That's what the teachers told me to do. So if someone is still missing, I gotta go," said Izuku as he kept going and was about to leave.
But then Katsuki grabbed his arm and prevented him from doing so. "Hey, don't walk away from me you bastard! I asked you who you are!"
"Hey man, just relax and just let him do what they told him to do," suggested Eijiro as he stepped up to them.
Before Katsuki could counter back, Izuku wrenched his arm free that made the blonde stumble forward a few steps before he caught himself. He whirled around and glared at Izuku who started speaking. "Now's not the time. There's more important things going on right now," stated Izuku as calmly as he could even while anger started to slowly fill him again.
"Like hell! We can't join the fight down there and that frost bastard can take care of himself! So why don't you tell us who the hell you are!" countered Katsuki angrily.
Izuku didn't say anything at first. He looked at the others near them and found them looking right at him. Four of them were giving him rather concerned looks who were the brunette next to Thirteen, Kyoka, Momo and Itsuka. Several others were giving him confused expressions at him. He wondered if it was because he introduced himself to some of them but wondered why he wasn't to Kacchan. Looking back at the angered blonde in front of him, Izuku then let out a sigh that helped him calm down. "If you really wanna know, I'm-"
*WOOSH*
"SHIT!"
*BOOM*BOOM*
"AAAAHH!"
Sudden extreme winds flowed over them, making them stumble about a bit while loud thunderous blows were heard along with some screams.
Altercation forgotten, Izuku snapped his gaze towards the central area as soon as he found his footing and the others nearby did the same. What they saw even from this distance made them let out yells of shock and fear.
Aizawa was on the ground unconscious while Vlad King was struggling to get back up from one knee before his will faded. He blacked out and collapsed to the ground. All Might was holding his side that looked like it was bleeding profusely while hunched over a bit. Seeing the pros in bad spots made the first years become horrified over what they saw and didn't know how things turned out this why. And they didn't know what to do.
In the central area, Tomura had a sinister smile form underneath the hand on his face. His plan worked. He kept up his assault until Eraserhead had to inevitably blink. And as soon as he did, Kurogiri vanished from sight and Tomura yelled out his orders. First was for Nomu to target the two pros and the beast did as he commanded without delay.
Shooting to the two, Nomu was about to pulverize the two when All Might intervened at the last second. But he was barely able to affect the monstrous beast enough for Nomu's strikes to not be lethal. Eraserhead ended up getting knocked out while Vlad was barely conscious for a moment before he too fell and All Might's injury acted up more and began bleeding thanks to Nomu's counterattack.
"Yes, yes! Finally! It's about time!" cackled Tomura, feeling giddy all of a sudden. "But don't worry, it's not the end just yet! KUROGIRI! Bring those brats here!"
Kurogiri appeared suddenly in front of the students at the entrance with his mist body significantly larger. Split second shouts and yells were let out along with a few of them using their quirks but it was all for naught since they were all enveloped in a black fog. A couple seconds later and they all fell a couple feet through the air and landed on the ground in the central area. Poor Midnight let out grunts of pain from the impact even while unconscious.
"Welcome!" greeted Tomura as he held his arms wide as if he was glad to see them. "I hope you all had a great time. I shouldn't be surprised that you were able to defeat all those cannon fodder, but I am. You're better than most NPCs…but you're still not the main character! And now, you'll-"
"Will you just shut the fuck up and go die already?!" cut off Katsuki as he let off an explosion at the hands person.
His blast traveled towards Tomura quickly and engulfed him. When the smoke cleared, Katsuki and everyone there had their eyes widen and jaws drop over the blast not doing anything since Nomu had shielded him and nothing happened to the beast except for some small red burns. But even those ended up healing instantly right in front of their eyes.
"Great, a volunteer," stated Tomura with narrowed eyes. "Kill him Nomu," he said and Nomu shot forward like a bullet with no one able to react in time.
Except for one.
Ignoring the almost unbearable pain caused by his injury, All Might willed his body to move as fast as he could. He was able to intercept the hulking monster and was somehow able to throw him off his feet. The two went sailing through the air and crashed through some trees. Hidden in the trees, they all heard a couple more booming strikes with gusts of wind blowing before All Might was seen being thrown out of the trees up into the air. And then Nomu jumped out from the trees towards the hero. Reaching him in the air, Nomu brought both fists up before slamming them down. All Might was sent rocketing towards the ground and his impact caused him to form a crater on the ground. Nomu landed on the ground near the pro and moved towards him.
Struggling to get back up, All Might coughed up blood while on his hands and knees as his body began letting off steam since he was practically at his limit.
"NO!"
"WE'RE GONNA DIE!"
"THIS CAN'T BE HAPPENING!"
"ALL MIGHT!"
Tomura started laughing madly at the sight of the 'Symbol of Peace' on his last legs while the students were in despair and fear before he spoke. "HAHAHA! YES! It's time to end the boss and clear the stage! No more All Might! No more heroes! No more of this false society! NOMU! KILL ALL MIGHT NOW!"
All Might kept coughing up blood as Nomu got closer and raised his right fist. Screams and shouts from the students echoed in All Might's ears. The hairs on the back of his neck stood up because of the screams and he raised his gaze in time to see a large dark fist fill his vision…
A loud boom echoed in the USJ as Nomu landed his strike. A smoky cloud of dust and dirt enveloped the area with the area becoming eerily silent. A couple seconds passed with the area clearing and everyone there, from the villains to the students and even All Might, were astonished over what they saw.
A green and white costumed person was on one knee in front of All Might and holding up Nomu's strike while constant streaks of electricity arcing around his body.
"H-He…ca-caught it?!"
"Wh-When d-did he get th-there?!"
"Wa-Wait…is-is that…"
They couldn't believe it. And neither could Tomura who was stunned into silence.
Izuku struggled holding up Nomu's fist as it tried to crush him. Damn it, he's really strong! He nearly buckled but kept resisting. "All Might! We need you! I need you! You're the number one hero! You've never lost before! So please, get up and finish this!" said Izuku through gritted teeth.
Izuku's words resonated with All Might who stared at his successor for a second. Young Midoriya…I'm sorry for not finishing this sooner… "You're right, young man! Thank you for reminding me!" he replied while willing his body to keep going as he made to stand up.
"NO!" screamed Tomura, finding his voice. He couldn't let the brat help All Might when he was so close. "Nomu! Get rid of that damn pest and then hurry up and kill All Might! NOW!"
Before All Might could do something, Nomu acted on Tomura's orders. Instead of trying to crush Izuku, Nomu grabbed Izuku from his right arm, threw him up into the air a bit and then delivered a full power straight punch against his chest. Even with Izuku doing his best to block with his arms while increasing the percentage of his quirk to help shield against the strike, the strength behind the hit sent him flying.
Sailing through the air, Izuku crashed against the ground and bounced off of it a couple times before colliding into the stairs with his back. A soundless scream escaped from his mouth with his eyes bulging before he dropped to the ground. Cracks formed on his helmet but other than that, nothing else happened and Izuku remained motionless while face down on the ground.
Nobody moved or made a sound. The students couldn't believe what they just saw. Several of them felt their heart drop into their stomach and they were having difficulty breathing.
All Might watched that happen with wide disbelieving eyes. But before he could react, a powerful blow struck him that sent him back to the ground. More strikes followed and each one seemed to bury him into the ground more and more. Until one final punch practically made him stuck in the ground. Nomu then jumped up before landing onto the prone hero. All Might shouted in pain as the ground cave in beneath him. Nomu jumped away while All Might became buried under tons of rocks, dirt and rubble.
"NO!"
"ALL MIGHT!"
"WE'RE DEAD!"
More frightened yells and screams filled the area as classes 1A and 1B became filled with despair, horror and fear. They didn't know what to do, especially with seeing the number one hero get buried alive.
"Hehe…hehehe…hahahahaha!"
Sinister sounding laughter made the students feel goose bumps all over their skin as they reluctantly turned their frightened gazes towards its source. They could feel the ominous aura pouring off Tomura and a cold shiver went down their spines.
Tomura's laughing ended and then he eyed the remaining students. "My mission is complete. It's time to go home. But, I guess I could go for some bonuses before leaving. Nomu, go ahead and-"
*SWWOOOSSHH*
*CNK*CNK*CNK*CNK*CNK*
A wall of ice suddenly appeared that cut through the central area that separated the villains from the first years. The students there knew exactly who was responsible for this and they snapped their gaze to where the ice wall started from.
Shoto was standing in front of some trees near the Landslide zone. A trail of ice was going from his right foot to the wall of ice. He had just exited the Landslide zone after doing his own searching and witnessed what happened to All Might. Finished with his wall, Shoto rode a wave of ice towards them. He stopped in front of his classmates. "That should stop them for a while until All Might comes back."
"Dude, you saved us!"
"Nice timing you beautiful bastard!"
"We should get outta here!"
"What about All Might?!"
"And that guy?!"
"We also have Midnight too!"
"What if we-"
*BOOM*CRASH*
The ice wall suddenly shattered into millions of pieces and everyone looked at the hulking Nomu that had its fist raised. Tomura stood to its side while Kurogiri was behind the two. The small bit of safety that the ice wall brought was quickly extinguished.
"Ice? Really?" asked Tomura while staring at Shoto who felt a tremor go through his body that his one foot thick ice wall was broken so easily but outwardly kept his stoic appearance. "You could bury Nomu in a mountain of ice and he'd still burst through it! He's as strong and fast as All Might along with Shock Absorption and Super Regeneration. There's no way anyone can beat him! The only way would be to slowly tear off his flesh or throw him into lava!" Tomura shook his head while chuckling. "Time to-"
*BOOM*BOOM*BOOM* BOOM* BOOM*
"Stop talking damn it!" interrupted Katsuki as he let off several explosions that covered the villains out of fear and rage. When he finished, he panted heavily while his arms twitched since he used his strongest explosions in rapid succession.
Smoke filled the area before another resounding boom was heard. The smoke cleared and they saw it was thanks to the Nomu with his hands together. He used his monstrous strength and clapped to make a force of air push away the smoke. Katsuki saw his strongest attacks did nothing but cover the monster in slight burns. And those burns healed away too. Seeing that made Katsuki tremble more in his spot and many of the students took a subconscious step back.
"I'm getting really tired of being interrupted," said Tomura with a growl. "You fools think that you'll be heroes one day. There's no such thing! All of you are just glory hounds! You take out people who you call villains because they don't convert to your idea of living! Protecting the stupid sheep who live their lives as if nothing's wrong! I'm sick of it all! And I'm gonna show society, this world, the truth of it all! And with All Might's death along with yours, they'll start believing that heroes are stupid! That there's no such thing as a true hero!" Hunching over a bit while putting one foot forward, Tomura got ready to fight while a crazy grin form on his face. "So get ready to…huh?" Tomura stopped as he noticed something behind the students and tilted his head a bit with his grin fading away.
Seeing the crazed person in front of them stop and looking at something behind them, the students were unable to not copy him and what they saw, made many of them let out surprised gasps and yelps.
The green and white costumed person stirred from his position on the ground. Raising himself up with his hands, he shook his head gently and the cracks spread on his helmet. Pushing himself off the ground, he got up onto a kneeling position. His helmet cracked even more because of his movements before it started falling apart completely. His face was revealed to everyone that had a trickle of blood flowing down the right side of his face from the top of his forehead as he panted heavily.
"IT'S HIM!"
"HE'S ALIVE!"
"MIDORIYA!"
"THAT'S MIDORIYA?!"
"DEKU?!"
The ones who were helped by Izuku personally felt overwhelming relief at seeing him still alive while most of the rest were astonished over his resilience. But one felt completely stunned to see that it was his old childhood friend that he now despised…
"You're still alive?!" growled Tomura with narrowed eyes. "You're like a damn cockroach! But it doesn't matter! You'll die soon enough with everyone else! Like I said, your deaths will be the wakeup call to everyone that this world is a farce! That there's no such thing as a true hero!"
Izuku heard him while he took in a shaky breath as he tried to ignore the throbbing pain from all over his body. This guy's crazy! I don't see All Might but…it's like I can sense him nearby! I know he'll be back! He's never lost before and he won't start now! But I have to hold them off until he comes back! I can do thirty seconds but any longer than that and…no! Stop! Don't think about that! I just need to go all out and take down that Nomu! Or at least buy everyone some time!
Resolve set, Izuku took in another breath. "You say…that there's no such thing…as a true hero. Then let me show you one," started Izuku with everyone's attention on him.
Composing himself, Izuku forced himself upwards and stood on his two feet. He moved his right hand and touched the button on the red gauntlet on his left wrist before pricing twice rapidly right after. The red gauntlet glowed before it traveled up his arm and at the same time, the red metallic anklets glowed and then traveled up his legs. The arm gauntlets went up over his shoulders and connected together around his neck. The leg guards also traveled up until they reached his waist and began flowing over his lower abdomen and lower back as they connected.
All of that took a couple seconds while Izuku kept his gaze locked onto Tomura and Nomu the entire time. "A true hero…never…gives up!" One For All…Red glowing veins appeared all over his body all of a sudden making many of his fellow first years gasp at seeing it for the first time.
"A true hero…sacrifices for others, protects others!" Full Cowling… The red glowing veins faded away only to be replaced with constant arcs of greenish blue electricity that glowed brighter and moved faster with every passing second.
"A true hero…overcomes their limits!" Izuku raised his right hand in front of him and clenched it into a fist. "And goes beyond! PLUS! ULTRAAA!" 100 percent! The ground beneath his feet cracked and the cracks spread over a good distance as waves of energy flowed around him suddenly that made his hair stand up as they turned from greenish black to cyan color as did the pupils in his eyes.
Everyone there could feel the power radiating off him that made them have goose bumps form all over their bodies. They all felt many different things that ranged from hope, fear, awe, jealousy, anger and much more. Yet, they weren't able to do much else since they were rooted to their spots as Izuku made his move.
Raising his arms above his head, he then brought them down as he got ready to attack while unknowingly releasing a burst of energy while roaring out his next words. "AURA OVERDRIVE!"
Izuku then bolted forward with such speed that no one, not even Nomu, could track him.
An incredible strike landed against Nomu's side that brought up hurricane force winds that blew away some off their feet and pushed the rest back a good distance. They recovered as quickly as they could and looked at what happened since the bio-weapon howled in agony that drew attention to it. A large noticeable bruise against his side was seen along with some tears on his flesh that caused both first years and villains alike to have stupefied looks form on their faces. But then the beast's regeneration kicked in and it healed.
Izuku turned in the air and landed on the ground with his feet but his speed caused him to dig a trail through the ground as he came to a stop. But the moment he stopped, he shot forward again while leaving behind a trail of cyan colored energy. Landing another hit against Nomu, another bruise formed with more torn flesh as high winds flowed over the area. Nomu healed again though and Izuku attacked again after coming to another stop. Landing another hit ended up with the same outcome. But Izuku just kept going with his speed enhanced strikes that caused actual damage to the Nomu with bruises forming and flesh tearing apart from the strikes.
"NOMU!" screamed Tomura at seeing his bio-weapon getting pummeled.
"I CAN'T GET NEAR THEM!" stated Kurogiri, unable to use in his warp gates thanks to the high winds around the two.
Seeing that he was actually damaging the beast made the students become hopeful and one of them couldn't hold it in anymore. "GO, MIDORIYA!" yelled Momo.
"YOU CAN DO IT!" encouraged Ochaco as she screamed while still staying beside Thirteen.
"I BELIEVE IN YOU!" shouted Kyoka and Mina that drew attention to them by a couple others while many more started cheering Izuku on.
Izuku heard their shouting but kept his attention on the bio-weapon. He noticed how even though he was damaging Nomu, his injuries were still healing. But it looked like it was taking longer for each wound to heal than the last. He was starting to overwhelm the Nomu's regeneration. It's working! I thought it'd take longer…of course! All Might was wailing on him for a long time! His quirk must be at its limit! I can do this! I just have to go faster! I can't give it any time to heal! C'mon, go faster! Faster! FASTER!
Somehow, Izuku increased his speed even more as One For All heeded his desire. His body had a faint glow appear while he continued. Soon enough, it seemed like dozens of Izuku's were attacking Nomu as he pummeled the beast from all sides since only afterimages were left of his movements with trails of upturned ground all around the beast. If one were to view the battle from above, it would look like a cyan colored tornado had encircled the Nomu with streaks of cyan light hitting it from every angle.
"NOMU!" screamed Tomura again while Kurogiri stood uselessly by the raging villain's side. "DO SOMETHING DAMN IT!"
But it was no use. Nomu couldn't react in time to counter his adversary and Izuku had no intention of letting up. If anything, it felt like his speed was increasing as he kept going with the glow on his body getting steadily brighter.
Even when his gauntlets that were made specifically to handle his full power began breaking down sooner than their limit, Izuku didn't stop. He was using every ounce of his will to push himself while pieces of the red metallic alloys fell onto the ground before being blown away from the high winds he was causing. Even as he started feeling the pain from using his quirk at its maximum, Izuku urged himself to keep up the pressure as images began flowing through in his mind's eye.
The first was of Toshinori Yagi, his mentor and predecessor holding up his shirt with the horrible injury on his body.
Another was the nice brunette girl stuck underneath some rubble who was about to be run over by the zero pointer.
An image of Momo Yaoyorozu with torn clothes and covered with bruises and a worried look on her teary face as she tried fending off several villains.
The pink haired and pink skinned girl who could do nothing but watch as she was about to be buried alive while frozen on the store floor.
The green haired girl who was pinned down by her own hair while exposed with an ugly looking villain assaulting her while she cried.
Two girls who were frozen and unable to do anything as the hands villain came closer to them with him inches away from grabbing their faces to turn them into dust.
Nemuri Kayama, who's another one of his mentors, covered in blood and bruises while unconscious in a dark rainy ally with her clothes in tatters after being violated by villains.
His mother, Inko Midoriya and how he caught her crying in the middle of the night one time when she thought he had gone to sleep and she could let out her grief in private over being divorced, stressed out and not knowing what to do.
And the final image was of little Eri, his newly accepted adopted daughter, with that absolutely horrible expression on her face before she was blown up into a bloody mist.
Izuku kept seeing those images in his mind over and over while he continued pummeling the bio engineered beast known as Nomu. No, he couldn't let them experience anything like that again. He couldn't let them get hurt again. He had to be there for them and anyone else who he could help! He had to protect them! He had to make sure that they'd be alright in the end! He had to do that for everyone that was within reach!
Those images filled him with anger and that anger helped fuel him by giving him adrenaline. It allowed him to push far beyond his limits even without the assistance of the gauntlets. But even with his anger helping him, Izuku realized he was overdoing what his body could handle. The pain from using One For All at the maximum was straining his body and the pain was practically unbearable. He could feel his bones rattling within while his muscles felt like they were about to tear apart. His heart was beating so quickly that he thought it would burst at any moment while hearing the rushing of blood in his ears. He didn't have much time left. He had to finish it! He had to finish it now!
Quickly formulating a plan, Izuku then acted on it. With his next strike, he delivered an incredible uppercut underneath the beast's beak that sent the Nomu high up into the air with Izuku shooting passed him thanks to the power he used to jump. The power also brought forth a vortex of winds around them that prevented anyone else from getting involved.
Izuku kept rising up into the air and he flipped his body so he could land feet first against the facility's domed ceiling. He clenched his right fist tightly to the point of blood being drawn from his palm while bending his legs to absorb the impact. "FINAAAAALLLLL…" Gathering his strength and power, Izuku began glowing like a bright cyan star high up in the facility thanks to the numerous bolts of electricity arcing around him that everyone saw as they heard him yell. Pushing off the dome metal ceiling that bent from his power, Izuku shot down towards the still air born Nomu like a shooting star.
"SMMAAAAAAAAAASSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSHHHHH!"
His roar was heard by everyone as his punch struck Nomu right in the center of his chest and the two of them rocketed to the ground with blistering speed. Crashing onto the cold hard ground, the ground caved in due to the impact along with drawing up a vortex of dust and dirt filled winds blowing through the area that threw almost everyone off their feet.
When they were able to recover, the students and villains turned their gazes towards the vortex. When it finally settled, they saw an enormous crater in the ground with Izuku standing next to an unmoving Nomu in the middle of it.
"He did it…HE DID IT!"
"TAKE THAT YOU VILLAINS!"
"WE'RE SAVED!"
"NOOO!" shrieked Tomura in a raspy tone while in disbelief and even Kurogiri had his normally narrow eyes widen due to shock. "HOW?! HOW DID YOU KNOCK OUT MY NOMU?! THAT'S IMPOSSIBLE!"
It was at that moment however, when the first years were cheering and the villains were in shock that it happened.
Blood spurted out from Izuku's body from the joints within his arms, legs and several other parts of his body before he collapsed onto the ground. Seeing that happen sent shivers down the first years' spines with multiple students yelping in shock, fear and worry. But they went silent and still as they wondered what happened with many becoming extremely worried while the villains were momentarily frozen too.
It was within that few seconds of eerie silence that enveloped the area that the purple haired girl, Kyoka Jirou, remembered something that she was told by the green haired young man. Thanks but I'm still getting used to it. If I try to use too much, I'll end up hurting myself… As she recalled his words, Kyoka let out a startled quiet gasp that wasn't heard while heavy and fast tears escaped from her eyes before she clapped her hands to her mouth to stifle her sobs.
Sudden rumbling that came from beneath the ground shook the area before something burst out of the ground and landed with a heavy thud near the crater. All Might had finally summoned enough strength to escape his burial and rejoined the fight after catching his breath. It also helped that some recent tremors shifted some debris out of his way that made it easier to escape. Even though he looked like an absolute mess and was practically at his limit, he could still fight.
Right when he opened his mouth however, his eyes fell onto the smaller of the two in the crater.
"YOUNG MIDORIYA?!"
All Might shot to his side and knelt down beside him. His hands trembled and his breathing hitched as he took in the battered form of his protégé. Quick wheezing breaths. Blood trickling out from many spots on his arms, legs and other places on his body. The areas that were exposed by his torn up costume had horrific dark purple bruising that let All Might know immediately that it was because of the backlash from One For All.
No…my boy...you went all out didn't you? I'm sorry…I'm so sorry…
Sudden movement near the two caused many gasps to be let out along with yelps of fear and shock. Nomu stirred before opening its eyes and then slowly got back onto his feet.
Seeing his bio-weapon up once more made Tomura relax and he grinned. "Hahaha! Didn't I tell you that my Nomu's unbeatable?! That arrogant brat tried to show me a true hero who goes beyond plus ultra! What a load of shit because it didn't help him, now did it?! With that mini-boss out of the way, it's time to kill the real boss and clear this damn level! NOMU, KILL THEM ALL!"
Screeching in response to Tomura's orders, Nomu threw a right punch straight for All Might's head with many screaming in fright. But it was unneeded because the beast's fist was caught by an open palm.
All Might didn't even budge from his spot as he caught Nomu's fist while his gaze was still on his protégé. Unyielding rage like never before filled him at the sight of Izuku unconscious, battered and bleeding on the ground. He snarled before he stood up and straightened to his full height while holding the beast's fist in his hand. Everyone there could see the furious expression on his face and that made even some of the students back away a few steps subconsciously.
"How dare you…HOW DARE YOU!" roared the Symbol of Peace as his eyes shined a bright blue as waves of power radiated off him. The ground cracked around his feet that caused rocks to jut out and point upwards. Everyone there could feel his incredible power wash over them all as an overwhelming pressure seemed to press down on everyone.
Nomu screeched in defiance and tried to counterattack with his free hand. His strike landed against the number one hero's face that made him turn his gaze barely to the side. But then All Might immediately snapped his gaze back before delivering a thunderous punch right towards Nomu's chest.
Nomu's Shock Absorption was overpowered and he was sent flying back with All Might chasing after him that made Tomura widen his eyes and gasp in shock over it. Catching up to Nomu, All Might kicked him into the ground. Grabbing his leg, All Might used his strength to spin Nomu through the air over his head and slammed Nomu face first into the ground. All Might picked him back up and then slammed him back down from his leg again and did that a few more times. After the last one, he spun the beast around that brought up a tornado of winds around them before he practically catapulted Nomu towards the ceiling. Nomu slammed into the ceiling, causing it to bend before falling back down.
But All Might didn't wait for Nomu to come back down. He jumped to the falling beast and slammed another punch into its spine that made it screech in pain. Grabbing hold of Nomu while in the air, All Might threw him back towards the ground with tremendous force. Crashing against the ground, Nomu then bounced off it while causing the ground to crack and splinter. Nomu remained in the air as All Might landed next to him.
Standing to his full height, All Might readied one last strike as he cocked his right fist back while pouring all of One For All into it. Within his mind's eye, a white star glowed brightly before a line of energy traveled from it to another star that was colored blue. Then this one went to a red one, then light green, orange, purple, pink and then it finally landed onto a yellow star that shined brighter than all the ones before it combined. "THIS IS FOR MIDORIYA! PLUS ULTRA SMAAAAAAAAASSSSSSSSHHHH!"
All Might launched an earth shattering uppercut against Nomu's torso that caused the beast to fold his body around the number one hero's arm for a split second while letting out a soundless screech before he was sent shooting through the air at an incredible speed. Nomu crashed through the metal dome ceiling and kept going into the sky before vanishing from sight.
"No way…"
"He bulldozed right through him!"
"He did it!"
"This is the power of the number one?!"
"All Might won!"
The students cheered at seeing victory. Well most of them did. Several however were silent as they kept their gaze on the broken body of Izuku. They wanted to go to them but couldn't move an inch for some reason…
"This can't be!" seethed Tomura as he aggressively scratched his neck to the point that it started bleeding again.
All Might turned towards Tomura and Kurogiri with that furious expression still on his face. Steam rose from his body once more but this time it was coming off rapidly. Yet he forced himself to remain in his powered up state. "Surrender villains! You can't win!" stated All Might.
Kurogiri leaned in closer to Tomura who was growling and whispered to him. "Tomura, we should retreat for the time being. Even not counting All Might, we have over thirty UA students who know how to fight since they were able to take out the villains in the respective zones."
"Damn it!" snarled Tomura. He pointed at All Might. "I will kill you All Might! I swear on my life, I will kill you!" He then moved his hand and pointed at another. "And I'll kill that wannabe hero too! Right before your eyes! I swear this!"
All Might's eyes narrowed but before he could do or say anything, gunshots echoed throughout the USJ. Tomura's extended arm and his leg was hit with multiple bullets. Falling to the ground, he raged at them all while Kurogiri quickly opened a portal and the two of them disappeared.
"Apologies for the delay but we're here now!" Everyone in the central plaza looked up towards the entrance after hearing Nezu's voice. They found the principal of UA sitting on top of Snipe's shoulder with over ten pros, a dozen EMTs and over thirty police officers. "Go, help my staff and students!"
As the pros and officers descended down the stairs, the students there felt relieved to the point of some just dropping to the ground and letting out sighs and tears as they felt safe once more. But even with the threat gone and reinforcements finally arriving, there were many who were still on edge. And some of them had their gaze on a certain green haired person who was still unconscious…
All Might, even though his limit was up, forced himself to stay in his powered up form and ignored the incredible pain he was feeling as he moved towards his unconscious protégé. "Young Midoriya…" whispered All Might before he gently picked him up in his arms. Without wasting any more time, All Might practically blurred as he ran as fast as he could to take Izuku to a doctor. "You'll be alright my boy. Even if I have to give up my life for yours, you'll be alright! I swear it!" promised All Might as he rushed out of the USJ and made a beeline towards the nearest hospital.
Nezu contacted Recovery Girl and told her to head to the nearest hospital after treating the injured here as All Might left the facility with Izuku in his arms. He remained on top of Snipe's shoulder as he surveyed the pros and officers doing their jobs. Escorting his students out of the facility and setting them up to give statements to the head detectives. The EMTs taking over responsibility for Midnight from the girls and getting her, Eraserhead, Thirteen and Vlad King onto stretchers to take into ambulances. Restraining the unconscious villains with quirk-canceling cuffs in the area before taking them into armored transports. After doing that, they then broke off into smaller groups of two to three pros and four to five officers towards each zone.
Nezu let out a sigh as he shook his head. "This is a catastrophe."
"That may be partner, but at least no one died," stated Snipe.
Nezu glanced at him before facing forward. "Yet. But we have Midnight, Thirteen, Eraserhead, Vlad King and Midoriya all heavy injured with them being critical. I just hope they all pull through. And even then, I'm willing to bet my collection of French wine that they're gonna have several issues from here out."
Snipe turned his gaze towards Nezu. "You're right partner. But we'll help them through it."
"Yes. We will," answered Nezu. "C'mon, let's make sure everything is going as well as possible now."
XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
A warp portal opened up in the middle of a slightly run down bar before two people emerged from it. One was seething in anger and pain while the other quickly went to get the first aid kit.
"SENSEI!" screamed Tomura while writhing on the bar floor.
A television turned on its own with the words 'AUDIO ONLY' on the screen. "Yes, what is it Tomura? How'd things go?" asked a voice in a calm tone.
"You were wrong!" growled Tomura as he grabbed hold of a stool with all five of his fingers. The stool decayed into dust within a couple seconds. Destroying it didn't calm him down at all and he raged. "All Might wasn't weak at all! And those damn UA NPCs had higher levels than we thought! It was a huge damn mess!"
"What happened to the Nomu?" asked up another voice all of a sudden as another screen turned on with only audio being transmitted.
Kurogiri came back into the room while carrying the first aid kit. "Nomu was blasted through the ceiling of the USJ by All Might in the end," he answered while tending to Tomura's wounds.
"And you didn't bring him back, why?" asked the second voice in rising anger.
"He was traveling too fast and I don't know where he landed," informed Kurogiri.
A disapproving click of the tongue was heard. "Damn it. That Nomu was a fine experiment! Now it'll take longer to improve on the other ones without him!"
"Calm yourself Doctor," said the first voice. "Experiments, tests and even missions all come with their own risks. And we have all the time in the world."
A sigh was heard. "Yes, yes you're right. I shall get back to work," said the Doctor after calming down.
"Good Doctor." The second screen turned off. "Continue Tomura."
"Fine. But it wasn't just All Mi-ACK! Careful!" snapped Tomura as Kurogiri wrapped his injuries who apologized but continued. "It wasn't just All Might who caused issues. There was another one who showed up out of nowhere, that green haired piece of shit! He was almost as fast and strong as All Might and he had freakin electricity all around him!"
His Sensei remained silent for a moment before he said something. "I see. Tell me everything Tomura. From the very beginning to the end. In detail."
"Yes Sensei…"
Author's Notes - So, what did you think of Izuku showing off his power? Hints of All Might getting weaker already? The students' interactions and behaviors? Let me know what you liked, what stood out, etc. I do want to hear your thoughts about it. And with this arc finally closed, there's gonna be a lot of things happening as the story continues so be prepared and stay tuned!
Also, the next chapter, chapter 19, is already up for pa tre on members! I'd really appreciate it if you can become a member as I'm trying to become a full time writer. I'm not asking for much either so if you can, that'll be awesome and I'll be very appreciative of it. If not, that's fine. You'll just have to wait longer to read.
However, it's gonna be the only way to read my all original story that's gonna be posted up there soon along with some member exclusive goodies. I know I've mentioned it before a few times, but I've made some progress on it and some stuff is gonna be posted up soon. To become a member, just add /silentplayermc03 to the end of pa tre on's website!
Hope all is well, that I hear from you all so leave a review, fav and follow! Thanks in advance and take care!
