Hello, know it has been a while.
I wanted to provide an update on the future of Scars. I was originally planning on adapting Volumes 7-12, as CRWBY had stated that they planned for the show to go for 12 seasons. However, due to all of the recent information coming out about Rooster Teeth, and the very highly likely hood they will be shut down and the high chance that V9 will be the final season of the show (or V10 being the finale if the show does get greenlit for another season, assuming RT is smart enough to take such an opportunity to hastily wrap the show up instead of hoping for more seasons), I have decided to adapt V7-9 as best as I can, and that I will come up with my own narrative for V10-12. I have not watched V9 or Ice Queendom, or played Arrowfell, or read the books, but I will for the sake of trying to incorporate their plotlines into Scars, even if it is just a cursory mention like I made to Grimm Eclipse in V2. I am unsure of when I will resume work on Scars, as I am still prioritizing my own original fiction, but due to the writing on the wall with RT, I thought it prudent to provide an update. Hopefully when I am able to resume work on this story, people will still care enough about RWBY to want to read this fic.
I won't be finishing this story for Rooster Teeth's sake, but for Monty's as I feel it is unfair that his creation be left unfinished due to the incompetence of the company he had been working with.
As for my own original stories, I am in the processing of revising a horror novel to get it into a state that I deem good enough to submit for publication agencies. I do have several other books (a science fiction story, magical girl story, mecha story, vampire story, another horror story, and a fantasy series) planned, but I feel like this one will work the best as a debut work into the literary world. Due to the terms of service of FFNet I shall not be advertising the book itself once it is published, but I wanted to provide an update on the status of my works to those who were curious about them.
