It was a normal day at the guild, Natsu was laughing as he ate a meal along with Lucy, Happy, Gray, Erza, and Gildarts. "Those guys had no idea what to hit them! Best day ever" Natsu laughed. "...Until the villagers chased us out of town for destroying half their city." Happy added.

Lucy sighed but there was an amused smile on her face. "You are never going to mature are you? Always going to be captain overkill." Natsu grinned at her. "Probably." Erza huffed and crossed her arms. "I honestly blame your father. You obviously inherited that from him."

Natsu scowled. "Oh, like you never destroyed a town before! Don't blame my dad for that! Everyone in this guild has at least destroyed one town before, even Gramps!"

"True…" Gray muttered and Erza dropped her stern look. Gildarts laugh. "You think destroying a town is bad, try destroying people! I once turned a whole village into tiny people. Master was really pissed about that one…"

"Quit gloating! It's so annoying!" Cana shouted from the bar and Gildarts gave her a sweet smile. "Ok, whatever you say, my pretty little girl!" He cooed and Cana cringed. "Ew! Stop!" She demanded before chugging down a barrel of beer.

Gajeel scoffed. "Would you stop trying so hard to impress her? Honestly, it's embarrassing." Gildarts sighed. "I just feel so guilty for not being in her life…"

"You were in her life, just not…as a father. She's used to you being just Gildarts, give her time and wait for her to come to you." Lucy said and Gildarts nodded. Natsu then grinned. "That reminds me of another story, remember when Cana-!"

Natsu was cut off when he noticed Elfman and Wendy come in, his eyes widened in shock which made the others look at them and they all looked just as shocked as Natsu. Wendy's leaf green dress was covered in dirt and mud. Her face and hair were covered in smooch rotten smelling fruit. Her skin was covered with bruises and scratches, and her long pigtails was a frizzy mess.

Mira and Lisanna immediately run forward. "Oh no, Wendy!" Lisanna said. "Are you ok?!" Mira asked and Wendy hiccupped while shaking her head. Mira frowned. "Come. We'll get you all cleaned up." Once Mira and Lisanna took Wendy away, Makarov stepped forward. "Elfman, what happened?"

Elfman sighed. "I was walking to the store when I saw Wendy getting picked on by some kids. They called her a useless wizard and threw fruit and even rocks at her! When I stepped in and stopped them, Wendy almost wanted to leave Magnolia."

Everyone gasps. Lucy covers her mouth in shock, Ezra glares to the ground, while Gray bites his lip in anger and Gajeel angrily clenches a glass of water with his hand until it breaks and shatters on the ground.

Natsu's eyes glow scarlet red, veins appear all over his body, and flames appear on the ground around him. He reacts by shooting out a blast of fire. Everyone takes a step back in fear but luckily, Gray stepped in and put a hand on Natsu's shoulder, slowly calming him down. "Cool it, Flame head. Getting mad isn't going to do anything."

"Gray is right. You should go talk to her Natsu. Wendy looks up to you the most and loves you like a brother." Gildarts suggested. "Yeah…ok." Natsu then slowly left and Happy frowned his way before noticing the guilty look on Carla's face. "Carla?"

Carla sniffed. "I should have gone with her! It's my job to protect her and I wasn't there!" She exclaimed, immediately blaming herself and Happy quickly went to her side, giving her a hug. "Hey no, it's not your fault."

Gajeel glared at Elfman. "I hope you gave those punks what they deserved." A dark look crossed Elfman's face. "Oh don't worry…I did." Lucy shivered in slight fear. "I don't even want to know what you did!"

Meanwhile,

Natsu was walking towards the med bay when he suddenly passed Lisanna. "Hey, Lisanna! How is she?" He asked and Lisanna sighed. "Mirajane is treating her right now. We gave her clean clothes and gave her something to help with her pain but…she won't tell us what happened. I'm worried."

Natsu gave her an assuring smile. "Don't worry. I'll talk to her." Lisanna nodded before leaving and Natsu went inside the med bay to see Wendy sitting on the couch, wearing Mira's old goth clothes and teacup in hand. She was wearing Mira's old black sleeveless crop top, leather pants, and her hair was tied in a ponytail with a purple ribbon. It honestly looked kinda funny on sweet little Wendy, any other time, Natsu would have laughed but he knew now was not the time.

Natsu looked at Mira who had been sitting next to Wendy before gesturing for the door. Mira nodded and gave Wendy's a comforting squeeze on her shoulder before leaving. Once she left, Natsu smiled at Wendy. "Hey, kiddo."

"H-Hi, Natsu-san." Wendy greeted.

"Can I sit?" Natsu asked and Wendy slowly nodded with a sad look on her face. Natsu then sits next to her and looks at his youngest teammate, seeing tears falling from her eyes. Natsu rests his hand on her head which makes her look at him. "You ok, Wendy?"

Wendy just stares into Natsu's serious gaze for a moment before she inhales sharply and finally breaks down into tears that she has been trying to hold in this whole time. She buries her face into Natsu's chest and Natsu immediately wrapped his arms around the young dragon slayer. He slightly rocks her as he strokes her head.

"Hey, it's ok, I'm here. Shh, everything is going to be ok, Wendy." Natsu says softly as he holds her a bit tighter. Once Wendy slowly stopped crying, Natsu pulled her away but kept his hands firmly on her shoulders while looking at her seriously. "Tell me what happened."

"...They…They were telling me how useless I was during the Nirvana incident, and the whole Daphne thing a while back. Th-They then threw food and rocks at me." Wendy's eyes started to fill with tears again and Natsu frowned, feeling bad for her when an idea struck him.

"Wendy, where are your clothes?' He asks curiously.

"Mine are dirty, so Mira gave me her old clothes." Wendy answers. "Why do you ask?"

"Well, Igneel always had something special in mind whenever I was sad." Natsu answers with a mischievous grin. Wendy gulps, getting a bad feeling and scoots a bit away from him. "And what's that?" She asks confused, and a little scared.

Then suddenly, Natsu scoops up the girl's legs, puts them on his lap and holds them. "Tickle hell!!" Natsu says loudly before digging his fingers into her bare feet. Wendy bursts out laughing and begins to roll over the couch.

'N-NNNATS-S-S-U-SAN, ST-O-OP IT!!! I'M REALLY T-T-TICKLISH!!!' Wendy begs while laughing before Natsu gives her a breather, while still holding her legs.

"Oh? Then that makes cheering you up a lot easier!" Natsu replies with a smile. "Now to find out where your worst spot is." Wendy's eyes suddenly widened in horror, as she knew she was gonna get it. Natsu then begins to rapidly tickle her toes, causing Wendy to laugh harder. "Pl-l-l-eas-s-s-se, d-d-don't!!"

"Well, It's not your toes or feet." Natsu says teasingly. He then shoves his fingers into her armpits before tickling them with his hands.

"S-s-stop!!!" Wendy begs. "Still not there,"' Natsu says.

Natsu then began to gently squeeze her belly and sides. Wendy kicks her legs around and tries to push his face away. Natsu then begins to tickle her sides at lightning speed, before moving on to tickle her belly. Wendy was laughing even harder than before this time.

"Guess I finally found your worst spot, huh?" Natsu says grinning. "But something tells me I missed a spot."

He tickles her belly while moving closer to her belly button. Natsu then suddenly plunges his index finger into her belly button and swirls it around, causing Wendy to go ballistic and laugh at the top of her lungs now.

"Ahh, there it is!" Natsu grins.

'S-S-STOP-P-P!!!! I, I C-CAN'T TAKE IT ANYMORE!!!' Wendy yells laughing until Natsu suddenly stops. "Hey Wendy, you like apples?"

"Y-Yes, very m-much!" Wendy answers giggling.

"Well, bad news, we're out of apples." Natsu says. "Good news, we got lots of raspberries. You want some?"

"Yes, very much!" Wendy says happy, before her eyes widen in shock and she realizes what Natsu meant. "Alright, here ya go!" Natsu deeply inhaled some air and placed his mouth on Wendy's belly button, then blew a huge raspberry on it. Wendy was even more ballistic then when her belly button was tickled.

'MHAHAHAHAHA, S-STOP!' Wendy begged, laughing.

Natsu began blowing more raspberries all over her stomach while using his hands to tickle her sides. Wendy was laughing so hard the rest of the guild could hear.

"Looks like your tummy likes the attention!" Natsu said between raspberries. "You want some more? Okay, here it comes."

"N-Natsu-san! N-NO!"

20 minutes went by until Natsu finally stopped his tickling, and helped Wendy sit back up on the couch. You okay?"

"Yes, thank you, Natsu-san." Wendy said. Natsu lifts Wendy up and puts her on his lap while giving her a pat on the head and gently stroking the back of her head. "Wendy, you are one of the best wizards I've ever met." Natsu says, confidently before giving her a little squeeze. "Grandeeney would be so proud of you."

"Really?!!" Wendy asks tearfully and Natsu laughs. "Really."

Wendy hugs him and Natsu returns it. "Come on, let's get out of here." Natsu says before he lifts her up and brings her down to the rest of the guild. "Wendy, are you ok?" Lucy asked, concerned before glaring at Natsu. "What did Natsu do to you?!"

Wendy looked confused. "Nothing. Why?"

"We heard you screaming!" Gajeel said, shooting a glare at Natsu as well and Wendy blushed. "O-Oh, that, i-it was nothing bad really, Natsu was just-"

"I was tickling her to cheer her up." Natsu cut in and Wendy blushed deep red as the others stared at her. Erza stepped forward with an amused smile. "Well, did it work? Are you feeling better?"

Wendy nodded with a smile. "Yes. I feel much better." Carla then flew to Wendy and gave her a hug. "Oh, I'm so glad! I'm sorry I was not there!"

"Aw, it's ok, Carla. It wasn't your fault. I'm fine but, uh, if it's ok Natsu…could I maybe stay at your place for a while?" Natsu grinned. "Sure kiddo! You can stay as long as you want!"

Happy's eyes went wide, and he started to blush. "Living in the same home…as Carla?" He then grinned like an idiot and giggled, making Carla cringed. "Do I have to come along?"

Wendy then wrapped her arms around Natsu's neck. "Thanks Natsu!" Natsu wraps an arm around her, but with a wicked grin, he sneaks his hand to her side and gently squeezes it, making her squeak and jump. "Natsuuu!" She whines and Natsu laughed loudly before the two set off.
