Alone for once since Tamara was out with friends for the night, Lucy and Tim intended to make the most of it. She scrolled to one of her music apps on her phone, clicked it, found the station she wanted, and then set it down on the island. She held her arms out. "Let's dance, Bradford."
His eyes glimmered as he stared at the woman he loved. "Sounds good to me, Chen." Tim grabbed his girlfriend's hand and squeezed it, leading her to a relatively clean, free space in the apartment as a cheesy, romantic song continued to blare out of her phone.
The two of them started slow dancing around the room, Tim stopping for a second to twirl her around. "You really know how to woo a girl," Lucy quipped.
He chuckled. "I try my best."
"That you do." She giggled when he twirled her again before dipping her. "Always the romantic." Lucy adored seeing this side of him and always would.
The next song started playing, and the two of them continued to slow dance, savoring this moment between them. Tim and Lucy couldn't ever be torn apart, no matter what life deigned to throw at them.
