Hello, my name is Emmy, there's something i wanna tell you...I've was thinking about a Qubo Crossover episode I watched. The episode? Going Under. Yes, I know, there wasn't any episode named Going Under before. Or as you think really...
Let's start off with a story, a few years ago, my favorite channel was Qubo. Always Qubo. It first launched on September9, 2006. I first saw qubo when I was 11, I had a Qubo themed birthday when I turned 12.
I was 13 years old when the channel ended on February 27 of 2021. I had stayed home of quarantine that day. I was heartbroken to see it go. My favorite shows of qubo were many of the shows they have, including Jacob two-two, pearlie, Rupert, Ned's newt, Madeline, pecola, fishtronaut, pet alien my friend rabbit, I spent the majority of my life watching it's shows. But I still got to see them on the internet...Now this just upset me. All everyone ever cared about was Nickelodeon, Cartoon Network, and Disney!
But the web was All That changed everything. When there were fake versions of qubo on TV, i was very happy, cause it's like I'm actually watching it again, just to see my childhood memories of Qubo.
Sorry for that long story...
But now, we're moving on!
So, let's find out what that crossover episode of Qubo is, shall we?
Last week, July 12th of 2023, my paramour, Ember (yes, of course I'm straight, It's always okay to be straight.) showed up, and he noticed a disc that was in the mail. I asked him about it and he told me about what it was. He said that today's my lucky day and that he always knew i really liked Qubo. I didn't really know what he was talking about, but when he gave me the disc, I screamed in happiness. THERE WAS AN ACTUAL QUBO CROSSOVER EPISODE! But wait a minute...what does it mean "going under"?
I was confused about what it meant, but then ember said that we should watch it together, and I happily agreed.
I putted the disc in the DVD player of my dad's XBOX, me ember sat on the couch (or as we sometimes call it "the romance couch") and then I was happily laughing, but then something began to happen.
All of a sudden, the screen went black, I tried to exit out, and it wouldn't work. Ember gets really Ticked off around TVs... because he used to be annoyed of the klasky csupo face popping up on the TV when it was off. I comforted him because he still gets that annoyed and bothered feeling every now and then.
The TV came back on and I restarted the Disc. There was nothing wrong with it.
But there was something wrong with what's going on...
Once I putted the disc back in, it was already into the theme "qubo is a party". As always, Ember and I sang to the theme song. Once it was over, a weird font came up saying;
"WARNING: THIS EPISODE CONTAINS CONTENT UNSUITABLE FOR ONES THAT DON'T WANT THEIR CHILDHOOD TO BE RUINED. WE APOLOGIZE IN ADVANCE."
This was really confusing. I mean... they weren't like this. Also, ruined childhood? How will this ruin my...
All of a sudden, a title card popped up. The title was, "Qubo: Going Under".
The title card was nothing but a black background, but what scared me was the font, it was dark red and was dripping blood.
I got really scared, I clinged onto ember, and he comforted me and tried to calm me down.
The episode began with a bunch of color bars on the screen. This lasted for about 20 seconds
I was getting worried of what was really going on...ember was getting annoyed of the long beeping sound, thankfully I covered his ears.
The episode began with a house, nothing on it but just being placed on a grassland, I don't see anything wrong going on in this part.
But until then...
When the episode went on to what was going on inside the house...
This part Shocked me...
The part was every of the qubo characters from the shows that I loved getting angry towards dinko, one of my favorite qubo characters. He was scared and frightened.
And he said "please don't hurt me..."
I was really scared, I clinged onto ember tightly, even he was confused.
But then, this scene really traumatized us
This part was dinko getting hurt and beaten by everybody, one of them with a shovel, they were all chanting and shouting "KILL THE ALIEN! DRAIN IT'S BLOOD AND BREAK IT'S BONES!" and then they shouted "SHOOT IT! SHOOT IT!".
I was screaming in fear, and yet I was crying, but then ember covered my mouth, just to not alarm our next door neighbors.
I stopped for a minute to notice rabbit suddenly appeared into the part, he wasn't a part of the torture. But he had an evil smile on his face. Did he do something bad?!
Ember was starting to feel concerned, especially for me, I was in tears, seeing me cry really makes him feel bad.
The episode then faded to black, then it went to a part where dinko was running to something that looked like a treehouse.
When it was at the treehouse, dinko was sitting into the corner, bruised and hurt, he was crying.
"Why?...why must they treat me like that?...I have done nothing wrong to my innocent friends...I thought they were my family..." said dinko, then he started crying again.
I was in tears seeing dinko like this, he never deserved anything like this! I can't believe one of my favorite qubo characters would get hurt for no reason at all...
I was still in tears, I clinged onto ember again, and I told him "ember, I'm scared..."
But then he told me "don't worry, Emmy, I'll always keep you safe..." and then he hugged me.
The next scene was dark, it had dinko dragging someone that looked like...rabbit! He dragged him into the house, and then he hit him on the head with a sledgehammer! I screamed in shock of that...
The next scene was dinko and rabbit in some kind of room that looked like an attic, dinko looked like he was strangling rabbit, rabbit woke up and he got scared, he said "dinko, what are you doing?! Let me go!" But then dinko said "no, you have letted me suffer! Now you are going to get to know what suffering really feels like!" He said, then he was holding onto something that looked like a needle, then the scene cut to black, but then...
SLIT! CUT! CHOP! RIP!
AAAAAAAHHHHHH!!!!
I was scared, I shout in fear as I heard what was happening behind the black screen, I held onto ember's sweatshirt while he tried to calm me down again. Even he's traumatized!
That part ended, thank gosh...
But then the next scene turned to the house, it was Normal, everyone was with dinko, saying sorry for what they've done to him, which made me smile, but then something else happened, the next part was Stacy and Bradley holding rabbit's body that was in the closet, Beast even shouted in shock "DINKO, WHAT HAVE YOU DONE TO RABBIT?!" Everyone went to see what happened, and dinko was speechless, everyone was shocked.
And then they all gave dinko mad looks, they all cornered him in a big circle, dinko chuckled nervously and said "...it was...an accident?" He then ran out of the house, and the others chased after him.
I was scared, seeing rabbit's deceased body and all of this happening. WHAT KIND OF EPISODE IS THIS?!
Ember was also traumatized, having panic attacks like he always has, I tried to comfort him.
The part cutted to black for a few minutes, but then it then went to another part which really scared us...
Dinko was hanging by a noose, deceased, he had bruises and wounds all over him, and he was bleeding. Everything was nothing but a dark gray background.
I screamed in fear and ember's shocked, I cried hysterically while holding tightly onto the pillow cushions, ember was also into another panic attack.
I then finally calmed down...but then I stayed silent. The episode ended to black, without end credits.
The disc finally went out, I held onto it.
Ember then said "emmy, I have to get a water..." I said "okay".
Ember went back in the living room with a water bottle in his hand.
I was still silent, but then now I began to cry my eyes out. Thinking of everything that happened in the episode, Dinko's death really terrified me, he didn't deserve it, it's like some sort of dinko torture episode! But now, then, my sadness had changed to mad, feeling that it wasn't Dinko's fault...it was those goshdarn characters...
"THEY KILLED HIM!!!" I shouted angrily
I then ran to ember and embraced him tightly, crying in fear, repeating the same "they killed him" over and over again, but ember comforted me and sung me "youth" By troye sivan as comfort.
A few minutes later he lit the disc on fire with a match, and we both agree to never see it again.
I went back into the living room to lay down on the couch, hoping to not dream of dinko's lifeless body or the entire episode, ember gave me a water bottle, he even gave me my qubo plushies i had when i was little, even my favorite book "my friend rabbit" that he can read to me for later, I calmly sipped my water and then went to sleep, thinking thankfully, I still have qubo.
Just to let you guys know, if you ever see an episode like this of a kids show, you better look out, they might not be the same shows that you think they are...
