"Gah!" Cayden Pryde cried out as he was sent flying into a cliff face making it shatter into pieces. "Damn it." He said getting up watching his former leader, Lord Frieza, fight his Godson, Kakarot. "Come on Kakarot. You can do it."

Cayden smiled as the Super Saiyan, once thought to be a myth, demolished the Tyrant as the planet continued to degrade around them.

"Bardock, Gine you'd be proud of the fighter your youngest has become." Cayden said smiling. However, his smile faltered at the memory of the female Saiyan. Gine had been his everything, yet she loved Bardock.

He'd put her happiness before his own. Hell, one time Cayden even threatened Bardock that if he broke Gine's heart, he would kill the Saiyan. And it wasn't an empty threat either considering that Cayden had a base power level of 700,000 while Bardock was 13,000.

When Gine had Kakarot, he'd be present but remained outside, when asked why by Fasha, another Saiyan. Cayden merely said that it's not his right, but Bardock's. the funny part is, Cayden had literally pulled the Saiyan by the ear to gine's side.

Gine had shocked Cayden when she requested him to be Kakarot's godfather which confused Bardock.

FLASHBACK

"Are you sure Gine? Me as Kakarot's godfather?" Cayden asked her. The female Saiyan nodded. "of course. We didn't do it with Raditz since Bardock named him." Gine said with a smile. "The hell's a godfather?" Bardock asked with a questioning look on his face.

"It's a man chosen, usually a close friend, by parents to look after a child if they both die." Gine said. "it's practiced on Cayden's home planet."

FLASHBACK END

Cayden charged forward, back into the air, if he were to die this day… he'd die protecting the last person connected to Gine, his godson. "FRIEZA!" Cayden yelled as energy crackled around his fist. Goku and the tyrant turned to see the former Frieza Force member charging at the two, but was clearer aiming for the latter.

Frieza, temporarily forgetting that Cayden was stronger than him, smirked before firing two death beams, piercing a lung and Cayden's heart. To both his and Goku's shock, Cayden didn't stumble backwards, but rather continued towards the tyrant, body glowing grey for a brief second.

"What the!?" Frieza exclaimed. He knew Cayden was stronger than the tyrant himself, but for him to survive a death beam to the heart. There was no way. Any further thoughts were cut off by Cayden's fist connecting with Frieza's face.

Goku watched as Frieza shot towards the ground before looking to his unlikely ally. "Did he.." the Saiyan began to ask. "No, Frieza didn't miss." Cayden said coughing up blood as the grey glow returned flickering slightly.

"Your eyes are just like your parent's. kind and gentle to those you cherish like your mother while being fierce and determined in battle like your father. Kick his ass for me Kakarot, or is it Goku now?" Cayden said looking at the earth raised Saiyan. "Your parents would be proud of the man you've grown up to be." The grey glow appeared on his body appeared before dispersing into particles.

Goku watched as Cayden's body fell to Namek's surface with a smile on his face.

LATER

Cayden groaned before sitting up and looked at his surroundings he half expected to find himself in line waiting to be judged. Instead, he woke to find himself in some kind of void.

"hello child of Remnant." Came a disembodied voice. "Who's there!?" Cayden yelled. To surprise, Cayden noticed he was wearing his scouter again. "Don't bother using it. I'm everywhere yet nowhere."

Cayden frowned. "Tell me. do you wish to go home?" Home. How long had it been since he was last on remnant? The former Frieza soldier ponder this. Before he was about say yes his thoughts backpedaled to his now deceased friends Recoome, and Jeice before they transitioned back to Gine. She'd actually had been the one to find him when he appeared on planet Vegeta.

"You seem to be unsure." The voice said as Cayden nodded. "if I go home… I'll be leaving the memories of my friends behind." He said. Maybe not, for you see, there's a Saiyan on Remnant." This got Cayden's attention "a Saiyan? How?" he asked.

"how she arrived doesn't matter. Just know that she's destined for great things. Will you aid her?" the voice asked. "I'm no expert on Saiyan biology if that's what your asking." Cayden said closing his eyes. Which is why you won't be going home alone." the voice said before another spoke up this one being feminine.

"C-Cayden?" it asked. He froze recognizing that voice. There was no way it could be her of all people. Turning, the Remnant native's eyes widened. It was her "Gine." He said eyes brimming with tears

"be mindful that this isn't the Gine you knew, but rather one from a different timeline where she loved you." The voice said causing Gine's face to gain a red tint. Cayden looked at the alternate Gine, whom was doing her best to avoid eye contact. He walked up to her.

"Gine." Cayden said gaining the female Saiyan's attention whilst offering a hand. "Would you like see my home world." Gine looked at the offered hand. Blushing, Gine took it and said one word. "yes."

"Just know that the two of you won't be alone in this journey across remnant, for you shall make friends along the way." The voice said as their vision began to brighten.

Everything turned white

Yang woke with a gasp. "that dream again." She muttered running a hand through her raven-colored hair. Who are those two and why does that woman have a tail like mine?" the ravenette glanced behind her to see a brown appendage swish back and forth. And further thoughts were interrupted by a voice calling her name

"Yang, Breakfast is ready!" came the voice of her sister. "Coming!" the monkey Faunas yelled out. At least that's what yang thought she was. And she had no idea what adventure awaited her.
