Happy Holidays! We have arrived at the final two chapters of this Bonkai story.

In this chapter, we're back to the night of Kai's arrival! Bonnie kept it cute at the door with Kai, but she made sure to set firm boundaries with her friends once he left. Her glass of wine is full and her lap is filled with sweet gifts from a hot lover. But what will the gang think when they learn the real identity of her gentleman caller? This ain't just another Thursday night in Shondaland anymore…

oOoOoOo

She couldn't sleep. She was much too aware of the sheets on her skin, of the cold wind blowing outside and pressing on the windows, of the central air humming from beneath the floorboards. It was useless to keep trying.

Bonnie stretched, kicking off the covers and exhaling loudly. She knew why it was impossible to rest and it had nothing to do with all the pizza, popcorn and wine during girl's night. Ever since Kai arrived, her body has felt charged, an ever present sensation of static electricity from the crown of her head to the soles of her feet. This is what her Grams had warned her about. Even with the material separated…the magic has bonded.

Bonnie can honestly say she handled Kai's surprise visit with class and poise. She knows she held it together despite the spectrum of chaos her friends created. Cute and controlled. But that was just on the outside.

On the inside, her magic was humming, deep and wild. It latched onto Kai as soon as he drove close enough to the boarding house, and it hadn't stopped reaching for him since. She did her best to pay attention to Scandal, but she spent most of the time looking down at her hands. The energy radiating from them was so strong she wanted to make sure she wasn't glowing.

"Bonnie? Earth to Bonnie?"

"Huh, what?" She blinked.

"I asked you a question!" Caroline had moved to the couch.

Bonnie shook her head and rubbed her hands on her leggings. "Oh! Sorry, Care. What'd you say?"

"I asked what you thought about the last scene. Do you agree with Olivia's speech?" Caroline looked down at Bonnie expectantly, legs tucked beneath her like a cat.

Bonnie looked to the TV. The teaser for the next show was already playing. "Uh…you know, I thought…I thought it was—"

"I KNEW IT!" Caroline shouted, grabbing everyone's attention.

"You missed the whole show! And I know why-yyy!" She sang. "Your mind is on 'Kai' the mystery guy."

"Who was that guy, Bonnie? We have to know." Elena moved closer to where she was seated on the floor.

Damon watched from his arm chair, the fifth of bourbon in his hand nearly empty. Stefan tensed up. He, too, was dying to know who Bonnie's visitor was, but not at the expense of another battle with Damon.

"Maybe we should take it easy on poor Bonnie tonight." Stefan rose from his seat. "I can find some more wine and we can watch a movie?"

"I mean we already know the most important detail—" Caroline continued talking, completely ignoring Stefan.

"Oh, it's obvious." Elena nodded her head, hand resting on Bonnie's shoulder.

"The man is in love with you." Caroline's eyes sparkled.

"Like, obsessed." Elena agreed.

"Maybe something with Rowan Pope in it, huh?" Stefan moved to the cabinet filled with DVDs.

"And he's hot! Like if Chris Evans had a slightly younger brother." Caroline mused.

"I was thinking more like a Chris Pratt." Elena rebutted.

"Oh, that's a good one! Yes, like Chris Pratt!" She clapped in approval.

"Maybe The Terminator? Damon, do we have the second Terminator in here?" Stefan quickly panned through the shelves taking inventory.

"So he's hot like Chris Pratt—" Caroline started a list with her fingers.

"And he's obsessed with you." Elena chimed in.

"—and he isn't phased by our dear, drunk Uncle Damon, so he's either a professional fighter or he's a fellow member of the supernatural squad." Caroline's excitement grew the more she spoke.

"Look, I found it!" Stefan held the boxset over his head. "We have all three Terminators!"

"Which means this guy could be dangerous, Bon." Elena shook her head gravely.

"Which means this guy could be dangerous, Bon!" Caroline grinned, exuberant. "You have to tell us about this man."

"So what are we thinking for the next bottle?" Stefan asked the room.

"You have to tell us about this man!" Elena shook her shoulder.

"A pinot? Bonnie, how do you feel about a pinot?" Stefan returned to his spot on the loveseat.

Damon drained the remainder of his bourbon.

Caroline grabbed Bonnie's wrist with the reckless strength of a toddler on too much sugar. "Bonnie Sheila Bennett, if you don't tell us about this man right now I might literally die!"

"Go 'head and tell 'em, Bon Bon."

Bonnie looked over to Damon. He had unzipped his jacket. The dried blood on his shirt and the grief in his eyes made her revisit the scene at the door. Kai's commentary about Damon looking miserable and confused suddenly took on a new meaning.

"Damon…" She spoke softly, cautiously.

"I actually agree with Blondie, so hell is clearly freezing over." Damon leaned in, the empty bottle dangling from his ringed hand. "We might all literally die if you don't tell us more about Kai."

Bonnie narrowed her eyes. An unspoken "fuck you" that Damon heard loud and clear. She sat up straight and addressed the room.

"That was Kai, as in Malachai, the homicidal psycho I'm sure Damon told you about when he returned from the prison world. He's the excommunicated siphoner who shot me with an arrow and tried to drain all my power away." Bonnie took a deep breath. "And he's the witch who taught me more about the craft than I've ever known and worked right alongside me so we could both escape that cursed, fucking planet."

Bonnie stood and turned to Damon who was frozen like a statue in his seat. "And we slept together. Obviously."

She slipped into her boots and collected her gifts while three pairs of eyes exchanged anxious looks between each other and a gargoyle Damon.

"Now, I'm not nearly as drunk as I'd like to be on a Shondaland night, but I'm probably too tipsy to drive, so it'd be really great if one of my vampire friends could give me a ride home."

The room was silent.

"Please."

Caroline stood up. "I'll take you home, Bon."

Bonnie nodded. The thank you shone in her eyes.

Caroline drove with even more precision than usual, wide eyed and silent next to a fidgeting Bonnie. She had felt some relief finally revealing a bit of her story from her time away. The biggest, gnarliest bit, if she's being honest, but still, the energy around her perimeter buzzed on. When Caroline pulled into the driveway, Bonnie reached for her hand on the gear shift.

"Caroline…you've gotta say something. I said my piece."

Caroline killed the engine and exhaled. "Bonnie…not one of us can justifiably give you any shit about your relationship with this guy." She shifted in her seat to look at her best friend.

"I know I should be scared for you, and I am, very much so, but—I mean—just look at you!" She gestured to Bonnie's frame. "You're absolutely radiating! It's amazing!"

Bonnie laughed, eyes shining. "I feel like if I'm not careful I might cause a power outage."

Caroline laughed with her. "Oh, I bet!"

The two friends laughed and held tighter to each other's hands.

"The truth is…" Caroline shook her head to compose herself. "I don't trust this guy and I don't see how he could ever change. But I do trust you, Bonnie, and you've definitely changed. So I'm confident if he tried anything at all you could totally annihilate ass."

"You're right about that." Bonnie laughed.

"Of course I am!" Caroline smiled. "And no matter what happens, I've got your back."

"I know you do." Bonnie smiled back.

Caroline huffed, rolling her eyes. "And Stefan and I…we'll keep eye on Damon and Elena for you."

Bonnie snorted before bursting into laughter. Caroline joined in loudly.

Bonnie rubbed her eyes and looked out the window. She couldn't see the moon from her spot on the bed, but she could still feel her presence beaming through the ceiling, illuminating her most graphic desires for a specific Gemini no matter how hard she tried to push them back to the dark corners of her mind. She raised her hand and cracked the window. Despite the cold air circulating through the room, Bonnie's magic continued to flare hot and bright. She remembers the last time she felt this way. She already knows touching herself won't do any good.

She sat up and rubbed her hands together. She took long even breaths and when she finally felt centered, she closed her eyes and focused on the energy around her body. She followed her magic out of the house, down winding lanes to the main road that led to the town's center, past a sign that read "The Mystique, Mystic Falls Boutique Hotel", up a large brick building and finally through an open window. Her magic flowed to the bed, hovering above a young man sprawled on top of the covers, eyes wide and wandering across the ceiling. Bonnie smiled. She pressed her magic down onto the center of his forehead. Flashes of winding lanes to a quaint, tree-lined street, a white house with a cypress porch swing, wind chimes of bamboo and crystals. Come!

Kai sprung up with a gasp. She didn't have to tell him twice.

She felt him the second he turned onto her street. She threw on a cardigan and hurried down the hall, pausing briefly by a mirror to make sure her hair was the perfect amount of messy and her nipples could be seen under the thin, dark fabric of her camisole. By the time she was running down the stairs, bare feet barely touching the wood, Kai was knocking on the door. Bonnie leaped the last few steps to the door and threw it open.

She stood toe-to-toe with the siphoner, the closest they've been to each other since the ascendant beamed them back to reality. The electricity of Kai's presence was unmistakable, but she marveled at how different he looked now. The crows feet near his eyes, the shadow of a goatee appearing on his face, his frame slightly broader, highlighted by the streetlights behind him. He leaned down, hands bracing the doorframe, an amused smile on his lips from watching Bonnie shamelessly check him out.

"You called." Kai leered above her.

"You came." Bonnie smiled.

She took a few steps back and let the cardigan slip from her shoulders. He was on her before it hit the ground. His lips found hers and she moaned immediately. Kai entered her open mouth and reacquainted himself to the space. He kissed his way down to her neck and Bonnie shut the door with flexed fingers before raking them through his hair. Kai's hands ran hungrily down her back to the edge of her top. They made quick work of removing it. He threw off his coat and found her mouth again as she undid his pants. When he felt her hand squeezing his erection, he nearly lost it. He held her arms still and took a deep breath, composing himself. She chuckled at the sight and squeezed him again, this time sending a soft shock through him. Kai grunted, his classic evil grin forming on his matured face.

"Okay, Bonster. That's how you wanna play?"

Bonnie shocked him again in confirmation.

Kai grabbed her roughly from behind and hoisted her up onto his waist. She clutched his shoulders in surprise. He grinned in response, eyes roving her bare chest.

"Oh, you're not fucking ready for me tonight."

He walked her deeper into the living room, using his magic to light the fireplace. Bonnie took advantage of her new position and kissed him deeply, hands pulling his face ever closer. Kai met her tongue strokes without fail as he laid her down on the large sheepskin rug. He stripped off his shirt and laughed as Bonnie's hands eagerly explored his new chest.

"And here I was thinking you might not be attracted to me anymore." Kai's fingers sank into the waistband of her shorts. "I know how you like your men a little younger."

Bonnie's eyes narrowed into slits at the petty insult. A low hiss of Latin and she reversed their positions on the floor. She rose up on her knees, holding the open fly to his pants. "I guess I do have a soft spot for juvenile, antisocial outcasts."

Another line of Latin and Kai's pants and briefs disappeared in flames. He jumped at the sudden heat but laughed when not one flame burned him.

"Hey! I liked those pants!"

"So did I."

Bonnie stroked his dick with one hand while the other pushed her shorts to the side. She rubbed his swollen head against her equally swollen clit and shuddered. Kai grunted and held his breath, anxiously waiting to be let inside her wet depths once again. She continued to grind against his cock head, eyes laughing at his frustrated face.

"Who's the juvenile one now, huh?" Kai watched as Bonnie continued to tease his dick, dipping him into her center and circling her clit. He grunted again and squeezed her thighs, eyes moving from her handiwork up to her round breasts gently rising and lowering. Too gently. She's pulling from me!

Kai gripped the back of her thighs and ripped at her magic as sharply as he could. Bonnie gasped, snapped out of her trance, and tried to pull away. It was his turn to reverse their positions. She opened her mouth to send an assault his way, but he siphoned from her again. She cried out in pain. He pressed a wet kiss to her mouth before moving his lips to her ear. She recognized the spells pouring from his mouth and was ready for her arms to be pinned over her head. Kai tore her shorts with his bare hands and sent the scraps flying into the fireplace.

"I just bought those!"

"Then we're even!" His eyes ate up her inviting form, brown skin glowing from the fire just beyond her. "Almost."

He lowered his head to her chest, sucking a large nipple into his mouth. He bit down hard and Bonnie hissed, squirming from her frozen position. Kai looked up just in time to see her warrior glare, eyes shooting daggers while she tore the life out of her bottom lip. He licked the bruised nipple with care before moving to the other. He sank a hand down to her glistening folds and focused his powers. Bonnie cried out, the coarse sensation of his siphoning power just as tortuous as it was intoxicating.

"Do you remember our last night together?" Kai had returned to her ear, speaking lowly. "All my disturbing fantasies you played out with me?"

Bonnie moaned in response. Images of laying in a similar position came to mind.

She was outside, pinned against a house in nothing but white lingerie stained red with both of their blood from yet another magic battle. He got more than a few good licks in, but she had been successfully kicking his ass before Kai finally decided to play dirty. A couple of painful siphons and Bonnie became the horror movie victim he so wanted to see. He stood eye-level with her, watching closely as she breathed through the pain, trapped against the wall. Kai told her that she was correct about his "masturbatory tour of the boarding house." He's had countless orgasms thanks to Bonnie, and it's only fair she gets the same amount of release in return. She lost count of how many times he made her cum with those dangerous hands of his as he regaled her with the story of each time she turned him on, and passed out shortly after. She woke sprawled out on the lawn, head in his lap as he tenderly brushed her hair. She rose up and clocked him with a right hook he didn't see coming.

"Mmmm, yes!" Bonnie sighed.

She was pulling from him again. Kai couldn't hold back any longer. He placed a firm grip on the sides of her throat.

"Bonnie? Bonnie!" Another harsh pull brought her attention back, green eyes piercing gray. Kai slid into her and grunted fiercely. Bonnie inhaled sharply, eyes rolling back.

"Not uh-uh!" Kai pulled harshly again. "Stay with me!"

He hooked a leg around his waist and began to pick up a rhythm. Bonnie whimpered beneath him, hands flexing and fisting uselessly against the rug. She watched as he pumped in and out of her with that familiar crazed, driven look. It was hard to believe it had ever scared her. Then again, Bonnie had learned more about her sexuality in a week with Kai in the prison world than in her entire adolescence in Mystic Falls. She was no longer scared of the things that excited her the most. And the unhinged man above her might be the most exciting thing she's ever experienced.

Kai adjusted her leg and Bonnie cried in a new octave, his dick finding the prized spot hidden within. He picked up the pace, thrusting into her pussy with punishing blows. Bonnie screamed when she came, the fire blazing higher behind her. She shook from the force of her release, and Kai slowed his movements. Tears began to well up and he followed the liquid across her cheekbone, watching it run towards her ear before he lapped it up with his tongue. He kissed her face and spoke softly, whispers of Latin that released her from his magic bind.

She wrapped her arms around him to pull him even closer. He arched over her small frame, nuzzling his face into the side of her neck.

"Stay with me." Kai whispered, and resumed his strokes deep within her.

oOoOoOo

Brown fingers traced little lines across the expanse of a pale chest. Kai was still sleeping soundly on the floor, kept warm by a throw blanket and Bonnie's small body straddled on top of his. She was the first to fall asleep, although she has no clue when that was. The need to check the time was foreign to her with Kai involved. The prison world held no commitments, no deadlines, no expectations to be anywhere. The eclipse came and went like clockwork, but the time remained unchanged.

Today, Bonnie does have commitments. She had promised to help Caroline set up for a holiday fundraiser at the Mystic Grill. While she was away, Matt had gotten involved with a nonprofit dedicated to providing financial assistance to single mothers. It was such pleasant news to hear. Humanity being of service to fellow humanity. Simple. Normal. She has a custom banner to pick up, raffle tickets and prizes to collect, Christmas decorations to set up, and that doesn't include whatever additional orders General Forbes dishes out once she gets to the Grill.

And that was all well and good when she agreed to it last week, before Kai randomly showed up to the boarding house and made her magic go nuclear. She knows she needs to get some more sleep before all her errands. Make time to grab some kind of lunch, most likely her only meal for the day. She still has to pick up her car from the boarding house and she's not sure if she has enough gas in the car and she keeps forgetting to change the oil. Her mind is busy juggling all of these tasks and her body finds it hilarious that she would ever consider separating herself from the body beneath hers for any reason.

Kai mumbles in his sleep. Bonnie rubs his chest soothingly and smiles as he holds her tighter in response. He's silent once more, mouth parted and soft-faced, looking more like the younger version of himself.

Bonnie isn't ashamed that her friends know the truth, but that doesn't mean she knows what to do about the truth about him. In the prison world it was just the two of them and their magic. The only goal was to fix the ascendant and get the hell out of there. Now reality is calling, and all those decisions about her studies and her future seem silly in comparison to wielding and dealing witchcraft with Kai. But their goals were no longer aligned. Bonnie sought to grow into herself as a witch, to continue to protect the things and people she loved. Kai sought payback and dominion over the community that held their power over his head.

"I don't know what you're thinking in that pretty head of yours, but it sure is loud." Kai's groggy voice broke Bonnie from her rumination.

"Sorry to wake you." She spoke quietly.

"As long as you wake me up like this," Kai squeezed her naked ass, "you never have to be sorry."

Bonnie rolled her eyes, but her heart thumped against his chest. She had grown fond of his annoyingly cheesy remarks.

"I missed you."

Kai was surprised by the sudden warmth on his face. "I missed you, too, Bonster."

She caressed his flushed cheeks before leaning down to meet his lips. They kissed, slow and unhurried until Bonnie moaned. Kai was quick to flip her onto her back and deepen the kiss, his tongue begging for another sound from her. She widened her legs and moaned again as his weight settled between her legs. Kai braced his arms on either side, trapping Bonnie in close as he lined up with her pussy. She felt the pressure of his hard cock pushing at her swollen entrance and grabbed his arms to halt his progress. Kai watched as she closed her eyes and took a deep breath. When she opened them again, they were still deep and dilated but much more alert.

"Malachai—" Bonnie began.

"Uh-oh, the full name." Kai sighed and rolled over to lay on his side. He propped his head up with his elbow. "I must be in trouble again."

Bonnie did her best not to be distracted by the new muscles framing his face. "Why are you really here?"

"Because I wanted to see you. I had to be with you again, Bonnie." His unoccupied hand traced the fold where her inner thigh met with his favorite place on earth.

"And?"

"And I had to be inside you again." His voice dropped an octave.

Bonnie rolled her eyes. "And?"

Kai mimicked her. "And? What else?!"

"What happened with the Gemini Council?" She asked.

Kai's jaw ticked, but he wasted no time answering. "I left them."

"You left them?"

"Yes. I had the opportunity to rain hellfire on all of their heads, and I decided to come find you instead." Kai smiled as he squeezed her hip.

"Really? All those years plotting and planning and you just up and left?" Bonnie was unconvinced it was that simple.

"Yes. Exactly. I walked away from my revenge to be with you." Kai said it casually, as if his revenge was an unfulfilling corporate job.

"No you didn't, Kai." Bonnie shook her head adamantly.

"Yes, I did, Bonnie." Kai began to raise his voice. "All that time spent without you sucked! People are boring and stupid, and all I could ever think about was how not boring and stupid you are."

"So, you took no action against them at all?" She asked.

"I didn't kill anybody! When I walked away, every single member of that crusty committee was still breathing!" Kai tried to keep his voice in check. After all, Bonnie's nude body lay just a foot away. "I thought about you everyday. I couldn't focus on a goddamn thing."

"So you didn't steal any magic from witches? Didn't terrorize anybody for information?" Bonnie pressed.

Kai was silent, but she could feel his frustration increasing. "You're not listening to me, Bonnie." He sat up to tower over her as he made his case. "I walked away from 19 years of planning my revenge so I could be here with you."

Bonnie rose to meet his cold eyes. "Why?"

"Because you don't like murder and revenge. Generally speaking." Kai stated matter-of-factly.

"Okay. So you walked away with no loose ends? No windows of opportunity to pick back up right where you left off?" She challenged.

"Full disclosure…" Kai rolled his eyes. "I did accomplish maybe 20—25 percent of total revenge plan execution."

"And does this 20 to 25 percent include bloodshed, terror, siphoning, and loose ends?"

Kai watched Bonnie put a hand on her hip. Her glorious, self-righteous hips. "Well, I don't know about terror. They seemed fine to me."

"What's that supposed to mean?!" She yelled.

"It means," he shouted back, "no one even died, so they couldn't have been that scared! I can even show you!" He jumped up to retrieve his pocket computer from his wool coat.

"Show me?" Bonnie watched incredulously from the floor as Kai scrolled through the files on his phone.

"Yeah, I put cameras up around the ground foyer so I could play back the attack." Kai cued up the video and frowned when Bonnie scrunched up her nose. "Not for the violence! To take notes on how the spell performed! Bonnie, I set up an attack with just fireworks. Very old fireworks, mind you. Not easy. See, watch—"

"I'm not watching it Kai! Quit!" She smacked the phone away. It was Kai's turn to look incredulous.

"Okay! Maybe I did want to watch those cowards catch on fire and get impaled by exploding objects! But none of that matters now." He dropped to his knees and grabbed her by the shoulders. "I'm here and I love you!"

"Oh my god." Bonnie whispered, shutting her eyes. She could feel another fight ensuing.

"Okay, fine! I'll delete the video!" Kai tossed the phone across the room. "But the important thing is, I left Portland because I wanted to be with you more than anything. More than revenge, more than power. Because I love you, Bonnie!"

Bonnie held his arms and tried her best to speak softly. "Look, I get it! I thought about you everyday, too, and I can't even explain what it felt like seeing you again. We have many feelings between us, Kai, but you do not love me. This can't be love."

Kai's laugh was manic. "I might not have a lot of experience in this department, Bonnie, but I know what I'm talking about!" He grabbed her face. "We are in love and we are absolutely fucked!"

It was Bonnie's turn to laugh. She shook from his hold and stood up, heading for the kitchen. "I need a fucking drink."

"Look at that!" Kai shouted after her. "We're right back where we left off!"

"And where was that, Kai?" She was storming into the kitchen, yelling over her shoulder when she ran into a wall. Kai towered behind her, pressing her body against the invisible barrier in the kitchen doorway.

"Back to the part where goodie goodie Bonnie Bennett can't admit the truth." He whispered harshly into her ear.

The parallels were obvious, except this time there was no sunroom to curb the chill she felt. It took a herculean effort to unclench her jaw.

"We are the same, Kai." Bonnie was grateful she didn't have to make eye contact in this position.

Kai's smile was sinister. He wrapped a hand around her throat. "And?"

"And we are in love." Bonnie spat out the word. She shook her head, beginning to deflate. "And we are absolutely fucked."

Kai sighed in relief. "That's my girl."

Bonnie reached back to bring him closer. He kissed down her neck and began to massage her breasts. She closed her eyes. He felt so good, it just couldn't be right.

"What are we supposed to do?" She exhaled.

"That's easy, Bonster." He continued attending to her chest. "I walked away from the Gemini Coven, now it's your turn to do the same."

Bonnie looked up over her shoulder. "Do the same? I don't belong to a coven."

"I'm talking about your pathetic coven of vampire friends." He explained.

"Watch it, Kai." She froze in his arms.

"I mean it!" His cold gray eyes bore down on her. "It's your turn to choose me over your dumb friends. Run away with me!" The picture in Kai's mind was clearer than ever. The two of them, together, on the run, fucking and fighting in every corner of the globe. The same prison world chemistry but this time, no reigns holding them back. He was fixed on laying a kiss to Bonnie's warm, confused mouth when her magic shoved him away.

"Kai. This isn't the prison world anymore. This is real life. My life! And I've wasted enough of it as it is!" Bonnie took a deep breath to calm herself. "Listen, I'm not saying my friends are the bravest or most compassionate people ever, but neither am I. Those vampires are a part of my family and—"

"I can be your family! You don't need them or anybody else!" Kai's hands had returned to Bonnie's shoulders to shake some sense into her.

"They are my family!" Bonnie's magic lashed out. Kai tensed as the walls around them shook. Light fixtures cut on and off around the room. "They are a very important part of my life. And if you really loved me you would fucking understand that!"

They stared each other down in the darkness of the room. Kai was the first to break the silence.

"Maybe we do need a drink."
