CHAPTER 3 NOTES

Usually I don't say anything in between chapters, but I must this time.

I'm aware that the cartoon Miraculous, Tales of Ladybug and Cat Noir is set in the country of France. And in this chapter, Hawk Moth (the antagonist of the series), speaks just one French word in this chapter, and repeats it another time in another part.

As there may be a chance where he and some other Miraculous Ladybug characters presented may speak French in future chapters of this third installment of the Behind the Lockers franchise, all French words (ninety percent of which are just single words; ten percent of which are half-phrases), will be in italics while the English translation follows in the next sentence or after a semicolon.

This option only applies to any of the characters from Miraculous, Tales of Ladybug and Cat Noir. If a similar thing follows in future chapters with another language, Chapter Notes will be included at the beginning before the chapter.

I hope all readers understand this option I have taken.

CHAPTER 3

When settlements were made for an entire World of Television army, Clare immediately left to greet the people responsible for joining her cause to defeat the Dark Shadows. However, Super Grover and Cat Noir wanted to accompany her, as chances for dangerous things were at a high risk for the young Clare Hutchinson.

Halfway through their walk, they were stopped by the villainous Hawk Moth, a supervillain and fashion designer.

"So, Cat Noir, you're joined by some outsider now?" asked Hawk Moth. "Hmmm…you're nothing like us, you know." he said to Clare.

"Hey, hands off!" yelled Clare.

"Oh ho, nice going, eh?" asked Hawk Moth. "Pathétique. Pathetic in French, that is."

"Don't act like I don't know what you said, Hawk Moth." warned Clare. "I am learning French in my school."

"Oh, you understand me, huh?" asked Hawk Moth.

"Come on, Hawk Moth, give us a break!" said Cat Noir. "We are just trying to get rid of these Dark Shadows Magica De Spell created!"

"Hah! You? Get rid of the Dark Shadows of Magica De Spell?! HAH! Pathétique; Pathetic in French." said Hawk Moth. "Well, let me show you something I've obtained. Magica!"

"She's here too?!" asked Clare.

"Dark Shadows!" yelled Super Grover. "Let me take cover in the sky." said Super Grover to Cat Noir.

"OK." said Cat Noir.

"And away!" said Super Grover taking flight to the sky.

"Alright, Magica De Spell." said Clare. "I know its you creating this mess." she said. "Just give it up already!"

"NEVER!" yelled Magica de Spell. "The Dark Shadows are set to invade the entire World of Television! They will strive to make everyone fall under their spell!"

"UGH!" said Cat Noir.

Super Grover later crashed onto the steps of 123 Sesame Street.

"Ugh, the pain…" said Super Grover.

"...Well, I'll leave you to your business." said Magica De Spell. "Hawk Moth?"

"Yes, let's go." said Hawk Moth.

Hawk Moth and Magica De Spell went away. But not before Hawk Moth blew a raspberry at Clare, and saying to her that she could not defeat the Dark Shadows.

"Hmph." said Clare. "Pathetic for him, he's gonna face justice from me."

"So I suppose so." said Cat Noir.

"Everything alright?" asked Miraculous Ladybug.

"Yeah," spoke Cat Noir.

Elmo later asked what had happened; Cat Noir explained everything.

"They're not threatening to take Dorothy, are they?" asked Elmo.

"No." said Cat Noir. "They never mentioned that goldfish of yours."

"What about Mr. Noodle and his brother Mr. Noodle?" asked Elmo.

"Nope." said Cat Noir. "They never mentioned the Mr. Noodle brothers either, Elmo."

Elmo was relieved that the villains never mentioned Dorothy or the Mr. Noodle brothers. However, Clare wanted to look around the World of Television more. So she decided to go out on her own and decided to explore more of the World of Television. Clare hoped to find more recruits to help her and the rest of the heroes defeat Magica De Spell and her World of Television henchmen, including the villainous Hawk Moth.

Back at Clare's School, things were heating up with Mrs. Hampshire, the school's CEO and head principal. She was angry that Clare never came into her office. Because of her angry mood, she took all of that out on Mr. Stark, Clare's teacher.

"Mr. Stark, a word?" asked Mrs. Hampshire.

Mr. Stark followed Mrs. Hampshire to her office. There, she lashed out at Mr. Stark.

"WHAT?!" asked Mr. Stark.

"Find Clare." said Mrs. Hampshire.

"At once." said Mr. Stark. "But why do I—"

"NO QUESTIONING, MR. STARK!" yelled Mrs. Hampshire as she banged on her desk, spilling her coffee on the floor.

"Uh…" said Mr. Stark. He later ran away.

"Yeah, you better turn your tail and run, Mr. Stark! There is no escaping the gallant Principal Hampshire!" yelled Mrs. Hampshire.

"I oughta get my son's Nerf Elite 2.0 Eaglepoint Rifle and shoot her little itty bitty butt with its foam bullets!" said Mr. Stark as he was running and cowering away back to his classroom. But he knew one thing for sure: Clare was Behind the Lockers yet again, traveling to fictitious worlds.
