Chapter 7
The vine demon screamed in fury and released the biggest swarm of vines yet. Giyu pushed off the ground, back flipped and landed over Shinobu.
"Water Breathing, Eleventh Form: Dead Calm." None of the vines reached them.
"Curse you! Curse you!" the vine demon was screaming. "Damn you Demon Slayers!" she dropped to the ground and stopped moving, the poison starting to take effect. However, Giyu wanted good measure. He walked over to the demon and pulled Shinobu's katana out of her neck.
"Water Breathing, First Form: Water Surface Slash." He sliced off her head in one clean blow, then ran back to Shinobu and put her sword away. He realized that the body of the demon Shinobu killed was starting to burn. The sun was rising.
He rushed back to the wisteria house for a medical kit and patched up his and Shinobu's wounds as best as he could, but he knew he would have to get Shinobu back to the butterfly mansion if he wanted to save her. He slipped her sword into his own belt to make it easier to carry, than picked up Shinobu's limp form and began to run.
