Jeremy sat at the kitchen island with John, and Jenna standing at the sink.

"I have no interest in the Founder's day kickoff party,"

"Sure you do it's tradition,"

"Far be it to break tradition," Jenna chimed in.

"Gilbert's have been a part of this town for a hundred and fifty years. One of the founding families, and with that distinction come certain obligations including going to the party. One day when you can appreciate the significance I'll tell you all about your heritage,"

"Hm the Gilbert family legacy I forgot how scared it was. I'm not a Gilbert so I was never cool enough to hear it,"

"Why does she hate you?,"

"We used to sleep together," as he causally made the comment Jenna tossed a newspaper at his head making Jeremy laugh.

"I'm standing right here," shaking his head Jeremy headed upstairs to pack his bag to go spend the new few days with Eliza.

Opening his bedroom window Jackie waited down below to grab them as he tossed them out. Next he shimmied out the window closing it behind him as he slid down to the edge and on the count of three jumped with her catching him too.

He was happy to be away from Elena and John as they made their way to Eliza's house where it was the most stress free environment.

When they arrived Eliza met them at the door pulling her brother into a hug and kissing his cheek they headed upstairs to go to bed.

The next day Damon headed over to the Gilbert house before he was going to go see Eliza cause apparently Elena had something important to talk to him about,

"Oh good you're here," Elena said as she opened the door to let Damon in.

"You ask I come, I'm easy like that. No Elena I will not go to your bedroom with you," Damon said loudly to embarrass her if anyone else was home.

Heading upstairs Damon opened her bedroom door first leaning against it as he looked around.

"Ah just like I remembered,"

"Stop messing around," Elena scolded him as she closed the door as he walked over moving her bear off her bed and laying down in it while holding it.

"Did you know your uncle has been kicking it with the Founder's council?,"

"What?,"

"Yep, me and Eliza found out when we attended our first meeting,"

"Perfect we'll just add that to the growing list of how everything is falling apart,"

"What happened right there?," Damon asked noticing the broken lamp on the chair.

"Nothing," she tried to play it off as nothing but Damon's expression said otherwise.

"Look Damon I'm worried about Stefan. He say's everything is okay, but he's clearly struggling. How long is it going to take before he is back to normal?,"

"A few days give or take,"

"It's been a few days,"

"Give then I don't know, what's the big deal?," Damon asked as he got off the bed walking over towards the dresser by window.

"He's not himself Damon,"

"Well maybe his problem is he's spent too long not being himself. Hm," Damon became nosy as he started going through Elena's undergarments to annoy her.

"Please don't make me sorry for asking you,"

"It is what it is Elena, if you're so concerned go see your sister she has two big bad original vampires living with her that can help with the situation,"

"Hey," Elena tried to grab the picture out of Damon's hand that he took off the mirror.

"The Stefan you know, was the good behavior Stefan. The rein it in Stefan. The fight against his nature to an annoyingly obsessive level Stefan. But if you think there's not another part to this then you have not been paying attention. Hell Eliza even knows about the secret side of Stefan,"

"He is not you not even close," Elena took her photo back and put it back on her mirror annoyed that he mentioned Eliza again.

"Well he doesn't want to be me. But deep down that doesn't mean he's not. Mhm," Damon walked towards Elena judging her reaction before turning to leave.

Damon knew it was bad especially with the council on alert again he would need help to get Stefan under control. Texting Eliza about his visit with her sister she replied that Lexi was on her way.
