Chapter 12
For the next few days, Shinobu's little speech sparked something in Giyu. He was much more social, sparring and training with Tanjiro, who had recently returned from a mission, and helping Aoi out around the estate. Shinobu's injuries were still healing so Aoi was keeping a close eye on her, but she and Giyu managed to find time alone to talk. They had made their relationship official, but decided not to announce it to anyone yet, giving them more time to adjust. Tanjiro seemed to be catching on that there was something between them, but he hadn't shared his suspicions yet. Giyu was also smiling a lot more, which in turn freaked out Tanjiro and the other Hashira, but Shinobu thought it was nice to see him looking happy for once. It wasn't long before Giyu and Shinobu found themselves on the roof in the middle of the night again. It was the one place where they could be alone. Giyu gently kissed Shinobu on the forehead as she wrapped her arms around him. She looked up at the sky.
"isn't the moon lovely tonight, Giyu?"
"Yes, Shinobu. Yes it is."
