It's hot… And it's hurt so much.

It was a cold spring night, but the heat and the pain rushing to his brain give Shirou Emiya a migraine as if he just got a severe case of fever.

His body feel so heavy and umconfortable.

His brain, on the brink of passing out. His body is so red, steam waffing off his body like he is in a very active volcano; all mix with each other.

"Hahhh… Huff… Huff… A… little… warning faster… next… time… will ya?" He groaned out. He's on his knees, left arm keep him balance up while his right arm clutching his chest tightly, gritting his teeth as the pain surge once more.

Even though it's hurt so much, it was far from enough to passing out completely.

He has experience the same thing earlier today, what more can it do to him?

Finally the pain subsided, he propped his back against the broken wall of the bathroom, breathing heavily. A few moments later, he wipe his forehead with his hand and using the somehow still funtional sink to get himself on his feet.

He look around the dimly lit bathroom a heave out a tired sigh.

"How am I going to fix the bathroom now?"

The tiles in the bathroom completely cracked and splintered and all that, the mirror is now broken pile of shards on the floor, the light bulb is out, cracks all around, but still in one piece; it's a miracle that it didn't just explode the moment his Prana exploded outward.

Fortunately, his bathroom door did not face the road, so no one can see the momentary episode of his.

He turn on the sink and splash water all over his face, he wipe off his face and walk outside the bathroom. He flipped the switch, the light bright up one after another.

'So the light didn't get afftect too much. But…" He thought, looking around the living room.

Beside the lighting in the bathroom, he didn't know if there are other electric appliances got damaged. But he figure that he will leave it to the Shirou Emiya of tomorrow. Now he just want to close his eyes and drift away.

He walk to his bedroom and lay on his back on the pretty comfy bed. His eyes look up to the ceilling.

The Lotus engraving on his shoulder exuded a cool feeling.

"It's been a while since he practiced his Circuits anyway…"

With that last thought, the first day of Shirou Emiya in this world closed off.

Eastern Time, March 17th- 2004, five in the morning.

Nagazora City, Emiya's family.

There was no dreams nor the memory of the tragedy that occur in the past.

After his body got a complete rest, the first ray of sunlight rose Shirou Emiya conciousness awake.

He slowly blink open his eyes.

Fresh air blow in from the open window.

Everything wakes up, the sun shine bright at the horizon.

He lay in his bed a while, his brain replaying the events of yesterday in his head (barring his memories with Elysia, since it's got delete). He give a sigh.

"…Time to get up."

After muttering those words, he sat up on his bed.

Quickly changing his cloth, cleaning up the bathroom he hasn't done last night, making notes about what to replace in the bathroom, checking to see if there other appliance need to replace. And fix himself a small breakfast meal.

When he finished, it's already near six.

Today is Wednesday, the day students are suppose to go to school.

The 'Emiya Shirou' of this world is only at the age of elementary school.

If the unexpected situation didn't occur yesterday, he would able to complete his first-grade study in a week and enjoy a month worth srping break starting at the end of this March.

According to the man that brought him home, he had explained the situation to the school. If Shirou couldn't get over his grief of his father passing, it would better to stay at home for sometime.

But even having said that, even if he stay at home, Shirou didn't know what to do.

Regardless of their intentions, good or ill. Children at this age is still quite a pure creatures.

Before today, the 'relationship' between 'Shirou Emiya' and the children of his age is quite dull. In the eyes of the others, he is an alien because he isn't into playing much.

But even then this 'relationship' did not deteriorate into something bad. After all, in addition to his 'Abnormal', he also considered having a 'Difficult' characteristic.

He dared to beat up the older delinquent boys on daily basis. In the eyes of his peers, his is not above those 'delinquent' themselves.

It's clear that the man adopting him is a high ranking officer, yet it didn't stop his kid from turning into quite an unruly and naughty kid.

Although this is just a quality control without evidence, so-called rumors do not need absolute authenticity to spread without authorization.

After all, for children of the same age as Shirou Emiya - no, maybe even adults who have grown up, even if they talk about these unconfirmed rumors wantonly, they have nothing to do with the people involved, and they don't care from the beginning to the end. How important the so-called truth is up to you, and you alone.

Of course, Emiya Shirou himself, as the person involved, was not harmed by such rumors that undermined the reputation.

In the final analysis, whether it is him from 'Nagazora City' or 'Fuyuki City', he still have some difficult to tell them apart.

Even though the 'Shirou Emiya of Nagazora City' does not have a clear goal and have yet to walk the road of no return named 'Justice'. No matter which 'Shirou Emiya' he is, they still have some similar 'commonality'.

Whether Shirou Emiya will found out about these similarities of this body and 'Fuyuki City' version of him, the thought that they are two of the same person will come to mind later.

A landline phone rings cut him off from his musing.

'Who would at such hour in the morning?'

Finishing washing his dishes and put them away, he went and pick up the call.

"Hello, Emiya's family here."

"Good morning Shirou!" A calm and hearty voice of an middle-aged man come from the other side.

Shirou stay silent for a moment. "Who?" It was all he can get out.

There was an silence on the other side of the phone. After ten seconds, there is a cough before the man voice is up again, though there is a certain trace of embarassment in it.

"Wha- You already forgot your uncle after a day?!" He can literally heard a metaphorical sobbing noices here. So it's the man that brought him here yesterday.

Shirou sigh, "Why are you so early in the morning? What's wrong?" He asked.

The officer just give him a hum, "It is wrong to check on the adopted son of Mr. Emiya?" He just dodge his questions. Shirou shook his head.

"If you don't have anything else to say, then I'll hang up." Just as he about to put the phone down, the man stopped him in a nick of time.

"Wait, wait, wait, don't hang up just yet."

Shirou slowly put the phone back on his ear.

"Are you going to rest at home? Or are you going to go back to school in near future? From my perspective, I hope you can stay home and have a good rest for a few day. Nagazora is quite eventful these last two days, so for someone that always go to school alone, it is dangerous for someone at your age right?" The man quickly explained, and Shirou frowned slightly.

"How do you know I usually go to school alone?" Shirou asked. Skeptism in the forefront of his mind.

"Uh… ah…! Mr. Emiya talk about it while us officers having chat at work." The man chuckled nervously, "A-and even if he didn't talk about it. We all know his working hours. It's not that difficult to guess that someone as busy as him wouldn't have time to take care his children."

"…" Although he know something is wrong, the man's reason seem reasonable enough.

Therefore, quelling the suspicious in his heart. He sigh lightly, accepting the man explanation.

"I understand." He said quietly.

"So… Are you going to stay at home or going to school today?" The man asked.

"I'm going to school today." Shirou stated.

"Huh? Why?" The man sound anxious now. "Didn't you heard me? Nagazora City is not very safe these few days now… No matter, if you are going to school, I'm going to pick you up."

"You don't need to do it." Shirou said calmly. "Nagazora is a big city, the populations ranging millions. Even if there is dangers, I don't think it's going to exceed millions. There is only one in millions chance of it finding my head for some reasons."

"I'm grateful for your kindness. But really don't need to do it." He reiterated, and then emphasis on the word. "And don't worry about the teacher, I'll talk to them myself."

Silence hang on the air for a few moment, before the man sigh.

"You're right, maybe I've been a little too jumpy lately. Mr. Emiya sacrifices make me lose some rationality." The man paused. "However, if you are in any danger, please call me or any of the polices as soon as possible, alright?" The man finished.

"Don't worry, I'm not one of the kid where he can't behave himself." Shirou voice softened. "If I in any real troubles, I'll try and call as soon as I can."

"Thank you, that's all I need to hear." The man said happily. "Alright, I'll see you whenever I can."

"Goodbye." The man hanged up.

Shirou look at his clock, it's half past seven. There still a while before the class start.

If it was him in the past, he would probably make use of this free time and exercise properly.

However, technically this is his first time at school, and he still need to explain the recent situation to the teachers too.

So with little hesistation, he pack up his stuffs and left the house.

Seven thirty in the morning and it's already a very energetic time for Nagazora City, a bustling port city.

The train hanging upside down between high-rise buildings passed quickly, and the sound of horns sounded one after another in the streets and alleys.

It is really hard to imagine that in such a prosperous city, the only shooting incident in the whole city happened in public.

According to the man's words, combined with the news reports he saw while eating breakfast, the shooting occurred just before four o'clock in the afternoon - that is, the time when the elementary school just ended.

Logically speaking, such a serious incident should inevitably cause serious commotion among the crowded crowd.
