What up, what up! I'm back, friends of fanfiction, with another seasonal one shot! I hope you enjoy, and review.

The fletchlings were chirping, the sky was blue, the air was clean, it was a beautiful day in Kalos region, and a certain blue haired pokemon performer was enjoying it. She hummed, with skip in her step, as she walked down the streets of lumiose city. The young lady brushed her shoulder length hair out her eye and sighed. This was Miette Millefeui, Miette is a short young girl with fair skin, brown eyes, and short, yet layered dark blue hair that she secures with light blue maid-like headwear and an orange headband. She wears an elegant and fashionable outfit that consists of a teal shirt with long light blue sleeves, a sleeveless green overshirt with cyan squares on both sides, an orange tie, and cyan shorts with light blue lines. On her feet, she wears orange shoes and plain white socks that nearly reach her knees. For storage, she carries around an orange backpack with brown straps. Miette looked up to the sky, clouds were forming in the sky, but not ones that would shower the world with rain, but ones that would freeze and create snow. She put a hand over her chest and let out a breath. "It's almost time..." Miette mumbled, closing her eyes. "Ash..." She began walking again. "I want to see again." Miette still held onto where her heart would be as she walked, with a thought in her mind. "Wonder if I'm too late..." She then put on one of her smirks. "If I'm not... I gave her many chances." The pokemon performer started walking a little bit faster. "It's my chance now!" She was now in a full on dash.

"I. Hate. Waiting." Complained a young man, sitting on a red and white sofa. This was Ash Ketchum, he was currently in a pokemon center, where he was staying for the duration of the Kalos Pokemon league. Ash wore a blue collared shirt with short sleeves and white trim, a black undershirt, darker blue jeans, a red and white hat, which cover his messy raven black hair, and red high-top sneakers. Ash also wore the same fingerless gloves he wore throughout the Unova region. Ash was waiting for his next league match to be announced... and it was taking far too long for the teenage trainers liking.

"You need to learn patience." Teased a young blonde girl by the name of Bonnie, with a smirk.

Ash sprung up from the couch and complained. "All the other leagues didn't do this!" He groaned, falling back into the love seat. "I wanna battle..."

Bonnie sighed and mumbled, shaking her head. "And my brother says I'm immature..."

"If you want something to pass the time," Both Bonnie and Ash looked to the door to see a familiar face, with oil spots on his face. "I just finished a new invention!" It was Clemont, who was still holding a wench.

The two he called out had very different reactions to his announcement. Ash jumped up to feet with stars in his eyes saying, "No way, really?!" Bonnie on the other hand was sweat dropping, mumbling, "This one better not blow up..."

Ash dashed up to Clemont and patted him on the shoulder. "What are we waiting for, man?!" He pushed Clemont on the back, urging him forward. "I gotta see it, what does it do?"

Bonnie watched the two boys in her life walk off, arms over each others shoulders, smiles on their faces as Clemont explain his newest invention, and Ash eagerly nodded his head as he listened. She shook her head, "Those two..."

"Where are they off to?"

Bonnie turned around to see Serena brushing her hair, watching the men as well. "Clemont made a new invention."

That was all Bonnie needed to say for Serena to get it. "Oh, and let me guess, Ash ran off with him."

The young girl giggled. "You got it!"

Serena sighed, putting on her pretty pink hat, covering her short honey blonde hair. "What are we going to do with them...?" Despite what she said, Serena wore an amused expression.

Bonnie laughed once more and said "You sound like his mother..." she paused putting on a sly smile. "Not a girl with a crush."

Serena turned beat red. "Sh-shut it!" She lightly beat on Bonnie's shoulder.

"Okay okay! Sorry!" Bonnie apologized, followed by a sigh. "I really don't know what you see in him though..."

Serena puffed up her cheeks in anger. "Let's just see what Clemont made." She began stomping off to where she saw the boys go off to.

Bonnie followed behind with a thought. "You'd be much more suited to marry my brother... I can't take care of him forever!"

Miette skipped through the streets of lumiose city with a smile. "I wonder how I should tell him?" She asked in a low tone, so none of the passersby heard her. The blue-haired girl knew what she wanted to tell her love, but not how. "There's also Serena..." Miette muttered, stopping in place. She spotted a bench and, with a sigh, took a seat. Miette looked at the road, playing with her hair, in deep thought. "If I... No, when I tell him... What will happen?" Believe it or not, Miette did value her friendship with Serena. Yeah, she may tease her, pick on her, but it's all out of love, or whatever you want to call it. Miette laughed, she didn't love Serena, but she was a respectable rival, in both of their competitions. "I don't even know if he'll accept my love." Miette giggled, hopping back to her feet, with a flick of her hair, and declared. "Like he'd reject someone as cute as me!" This got quite a few people to look at this short girl, with a haughty expression on her face, in confusion. Miette didn't care! "Look all you want, I don't care." She thought, as she began to walk again, with a smile on her face. "I'm in love!" Was her last thought before she heard an explosion, causing her, and others around her, to jump. She looked to see it came from the pokemon center, she broke out into a dash, for two reasons. One. "What was that explosion?!" Two. "Ash could be over there!" As she ran a tiny snowflake fell onto her face. Three. "It's almost Christmas..."

Serena, Bonnie, Clemont and Ash all stood there, covered in soot, hair in awry, as a result of the explosion caused by Clemont's new invention, "the pokeball thrower 1,000!" No pokemon were harmed in the use of this machine. "That was..." Bonnie mumbled.

But was cut off by Ash. "Awesome!" He shook off the soot and had stars in his eyes. "Man, that was cool!" Serena and Bonnie, even Clemont, looked at him in disbelief. Ash turned around with a smile and gave a thumbs up. "A cool concept!" He clarified. The young man loved the idea, not the machine.

Clemont dashed up to his friend, with his own smile, and put his hand on Ash's shoulder. "Yup, with a little bit more tweaking, I feel like it'll be a masterpiece!" Ash nodded along with every word Clemont said.

"Yeah, maybe "Pokeball thrower 10,000" will be good..." Bonnie teased, trying to brush off the soot.

Serena giggled at the younger girl. "Well, at least he's trying." She pulled out her brush and started helping Bonnie with her darkened hair. "And he is improving... This one lasted for a bit longer."

"My, My. You sure are forgiving of Clemont. Has your love shifted?" Interjected a new, familiar, teasing female voice.

Serena spun like a top to see the source of the voice, but groan when she saw whose it was. "Miette..."

"Yahallo!" Miette greeted, with a sweet smile and a quick wave. Then she snuck up to Serena with a predatory expression, and whispered into her ear. "You didn't answer my question..." She looked towards the two boys, Serena followed her gaze. "You can't have both... You have to choose."

Serena blushed beet red and practically teleported away from the blue-haired girl, and yelled. "Miette!"

Bonnie just watched with an amused expression, brushing her hair out. "This is getting out of hand... Now there's two of them." She thought.

Miette smirked at Serena's reaction, everything is going as planned. She would tease Serena, the honey blonde would scream her name as usual, and Ash would walk up to see what's up. And that's just what happened, she could see her beloved Ash and... the blond one, walking up to her, curiosity all over their face.

"What's goin on?" Ash asked, rubbing the back of his neck.

Miette walked up to the man of her affections, getting close enough so that he could smell the perfume she put on for him, but far enough so he doesn't question why she's so close. "Hey, there." She greeted, with a flirtatious wink.

Ash unconsciously took a step back, after getting a good whiff of her scent. "She smells like a Pecha Berry... so sweet smelling..." He thought, his cheeks getting a little rosy for thinking such things. "H-hey, Miette!"

"It's been too long, Ash." She said, touching his arm, but quickly retracting. Only giving him a taste of her soft hands.

Ash scratched where she touched, subconsciously wanting to preserve that feeling of her warm, lithe hands. "Yeah..." was all he could get out.

Serena was growling behind Miette, but the blue-haired performer was clearly ignoring her. Clemont watched the whole exchange, looking between Ash, Miette and Serena, fixing his glasses. "I'm confused..." He turned to his sister. "Am I missing something?"

Bonnie just shook her head. "You miss a lot of things, brother."

"Hey!" Clemont exclaimed, offended.

"Miette... Why are you here?" Serena asked with a bared tooth grin.

"Oh silly me!" She playfully bonked herself on the head. "I forgot to tell you all." Miette smiled at the group, Ash got the warmest smile. "I'd like to stick around, at least till the end of the league."

The party of four all looked at each other, grasping their opinions. Clemont shot Ash a gaze that said, "I leave it to you." Bonnie showed indifference, and Serena looked to the floor, Ash was unable to read her expression. Even if they did this little staring meeting, the three knew that Ash was the "leader" of the group, and if he didn't mind, they didn't mind. "Sure, I don't mind." Ash gave Miette one of his iconic smiles, one that Miette wanted to take a picture of and keep it with her always. "It'll be fun to have another friend around!" He gave a thumbs up.

Miette let out a fake laugh. "Right... friend..." She could hear Serena giggling in the background, perhaps this is what she's had to put up with. Miette briefly closed her eyes in thought "It doesn't matter. All you have to do is..." She ran up to Ash and leaped into his arms. "This will be so much fun!"

Ash stammered a bit, unsure of what to do in this situation, but he came to the conclusion, that hugging back would be best. "Yeah, I-It will be."

Miette could hear Serena gasp behind her, well, she was behind Ash, but whatever, and the winning blue-haired girl shot her a smirk and thought, "Take the initiative and break that denseness down!"

The now group of five walked the street of lumiose city, in silence. They all had different reasons for their own silence. Clemont was trying to figure out what was going on! Bonnie was unsure how to act at this moment. Serena was grumbling, trying to think of ways to hide a blue-haired female body. Miette was coming up with her next flirtatious scheme and Ash... was silent because he was eating.

Ash swallowed the last of the corndog he bought and broke the silence. "So, Miette, do you already have a place to stay?"

Miette nodded, playing with her hair. "Indeed I do. Why?" She gasped, grabbing onto Ash's arm. "Were you worried about?! Awww, you're so cute!"

Ash was a stammering mess once again. Lots of "Uhs, ums and ehs" came out of his mouth. He finally found the word he was looking for though, and spoke them. "I wouldn't say that, I know you can handle yourself, I was just... wondering." He said, looking away from the cute girl on his arm.

Miette could see out of the corner of her eye, Serena looking somewhat triumphant, most likely because Ash said, in a roundabout way, that he wasn't worried about Miette. But, the blue-haired girl didn't see it that way. Nope! She was actually happy that Ash saw her as a strong woman, who could protect herself. If he was always so overbearing and overprotective when they got married, that might lead to arguments. Miette let go of Ash's arm, much to his pleasure and displeasure, and she struck a pose, with her hands on her hips, looking smug. "You're right about that. No creepo would mess with me!"

Bonnie let out a giggle. "I could definitely see you putting some creep in their place!"

Miette smiled at the little girl. "As any woman should be able to!" Miette went into a fake fighting stance and threw some punches. "We've got to defend ourselves!"

Bonnie enthusiastically nodded her head. "Yeah!"

Clemont decided to add to the conversation. "I agree. Me and dad won't always be around. I know it would put me at ease if you could defend yourself."

Miette nodded at Clemont's words "I'll have to teach her some of my moves then!"

Ash threw up his hand in protection. "Just don't use any on me, okay!"

"Just don't be a creep!" Miette wagged her finger with a wink. The rest of the group laughed, except Serena, who was just watching the road as they walked.

When Bonnie calmed her laughter, she looked up to see the sky darkening. "It's getting late..."

As if on queue the others looked up as well. Miette frown and stopped in place with a spin, facing everyone at once. "I guess that works out." When met with confusion she pointed to the big white building they were all in front off. "Here's where's I'm staying." Clemont gave an understanding nod and Bonnie looked sad, Serena sighed and Ash put on a wry smile. Miette waved her hands, and put on a warm smile. "C'mon, don't make those faces," She let out a laugh. "I'll see you tomorrow!" Everyone let out their own set laughter. "And Serena..." Miette began, waiting for Serena to look at her before finishing. When she did, she continued. "Wanna go shopping tomorrow?"

Serena was taken-aback by her rivals words, she thought Miette would tease her, as she would normally. The honey blonde nodded her head. "Yeah, sure..."

Miette arrived in her hotel room and sighed. "I got it out..." She was actually struggling with telling Serena to shop with her. "I want to tell her first... then him." She shut the door to her room and looked around, getting an eyeful of a Christmas tree, with pretty lights. Miette let out another sigh, "Almost Christmas..." She mumbled, pulling her shirt over her head. "I'll take a shower before I go to bed..." She made her way to the bathroom, kicking over her short as she walked. Now in the bathroom she looked herself up and down, now clad in only her bra and panties, in the mirror. "First her, then him..." Then unclipped her bra and threw it on the floor, revealing her modest bust, which made a little bonce when set free. "That seems fair..." She slowly took off her black panties and stepped out of them, leaving them on the floor with her matching bra. She turned the knob of the shower on, and when she stepped in she hissed... "So cold..." She turned the knob until she was happy with the temperature. When the hot water hit her body, her smooth skin, she moaned. "Ash..." She grabbed the soap. "Will accept me?" After that, it was a long night for Miette Millefeui.

Miette paced the streets of lumiose, in front of some of the best clothing stores in the region, with an irritated scowl on her, normally cute, face. "Where is she!?" Serena was supposed to meet her ten minutes ago. "Am I dumb for thinking she'd come?" She grumbled, looking around the street. "Where is that bitch!" She yelled with a stomp.

"Am I the bitch?" Said a female voice.

Miette froze up, and slowly turned around with a forced smile. "Hey there, Serena."

"Hello..." Serena muttered, fixing her hate. "Is the reason you invited me, to call me obscenities?"

Miette sighed, frowning. "No." She choked on her breath for a moment, not wanting to say the truth yet. "I actually wanted to shop with you." She puffed her cheeks and looked away. "But if I knew that you'd be late I wouldn't've invited you!"

Serena laughed a little. "Then, where did you want to go?"

Ash was currently laying down in one of the two beds in the room he shared with Clemont, with somethings on his mind, more so someone. "Miette..." He mumbled. That woman has messed up his head. No girl has ever interacted with him like that, so... cute? Hot? Sexy? Alluring? Even if Ash looked at the dictionary, he'd be unable to find the right word to describe her. Ash sighed.

"That was a heavy sigh."

Ash looked where he heard the voice and said, 'Clemont, hey."

"Hey," Clemont walked up his friend and took a seat next to him. "Are you okay?"

"Yeah, I'm cool." Ash lied, looking away from one of his best friends.

"Ash." Was all Clemont said.

"Heh, it's like you can see right through me..." He joked, knowing he was found out.

Clemont fixed his glasses. "Well, we have known each other for a whole year now, and you're just easy to read."

Ash chuckled, "I don't know if I should be proud or offended?"

"How about you just tell me what's on your mind." Clemont proposed.

Ash looked down, seeing his bed in disarray. "It's... hard to explain."

Clemont nodded. "Okay. Let's try to break it down. is it about the league?"

"You know I'd have no problem talking about that!"

"Yeah, that was dumb of me..." Clemont started humming in thought. "Ah, is it about a person?"

"Yup." Ash confirmed, a puzzled look returning to his face.

"Okay, okay. That narrows it down..." Clemont mumbled, nodding his head as he talked. "Is it someone in our group?"

"Kinda...?" Ash was unsure if his answer was the best one he could've given.

"Strange response, but okay." Clemont has a flash of realization. "It's not about me, is it?" He asked slowly.

"No way, dude. You're fine!" Ash waved his hands around, trying to assure the glasses wearing one.

Clemont sighed. "Good." He went back to thinking. "So it's a girl?"

Ash simply nodded. "This is the first time I've ever felt this way too."

Clemont's eyes went wide, his glasses almost falling off his head, and then he thought. "Is it Serena!?" Clemont was a little dense, sure... But, Ash was next level. Clemont could at least see the massive crush the honey blonde has on the raven haired trainer, AND THAT DIDN'T MAKE HIM JEALOUS AT ALL! Nope. Not at all. Putting aside anything he may feel, if Ash has finally realized Serena's feelings, well, that's a joyous day right there. So, Clemont slowly asked. "Is it... Serena?"

"Of course not, where did she come from?" Ash answered swiftly and bluntly.

Clemont fell down anime style, with the thought. "I'm so sorry, Serena!" Clemont sprang back up to the bed, fixing his glasses. "Then who is it?!" He slightly yelled.

Ash was taken slightly-aback by Clemont's reaction, but carried on nonetheless. "It's Miette." Ash answered truthfully.

Miette let out a heavy sigh, carrying all her bags was troublesome, "perhaps I should've forced that Clemont to come too..." She thought. The blue-haired girl looked to her right to see Serena, also struggling with her bags. Despite them "shopping together" they've barely said anything to one another. It was mostly, "Let's go here" or "that looks good on you!" Simple things.

"It's getting a little late, we should start heading back." Serena said, somewhat monotone, as if she's been preparing to say that.

Miette looked up at the sky and noticed that it was indeed "getting a little late." She nodded, "Okay. But, I need to say one thing while it's still just the two of us." Miette knew this would be her last chance to tell Serena that their "game" is over, and Miette will try to end it.

Serena flinched, she had a good idea what Miette wanted to discuss, but feigned ignorance. "What is it?"

Miette breathed in through her nose, and let it out through her mouth. "I'm no longer waiting." Her face was full of confidence, resolve. "I will confess to Ash... by christmas."

Serena just still there, mouth agape. She knew that Miette was going to say something along those lines, but... hearing it... hearing was different. "I... see." Was all the words that came out of her.

Miette sighed. "But I won't... tell him," She paused, making sure Serena was listening. "If you can tell me, that you have any plans on telling him."

Serena didn't expect this, that's for sure. "Why?" Was all she could think of.

Miette looked away, embarrassed. "I may not show it... but I do value you as a close friend... an important person to me..." She looked Serena in the eye, her face red from her embarrassing confession. "So, if you tell me, right now, that you will tell Ash your feelings, then I will concede mine."

Serena looked away, in both embarrassment and shock. "I... Don't think... I can tell him." She mumbled, practically giving her rival the okay to pursue her crush.

"Well... okay then." Miette turned around. "Let's head back."

"Wait!" Serena called out, a few tears forming on her eyes.

Miette turned back around, with a face that said, "What do you want?"

"How...?" Serena muttered. "How can you... tell him?" She started at her rival in disbelief. "How are you not afraid?!"

Miette let out a grumble of annoyance, and asked. "Have you ever felt love?" When she saw Serena's confused face, she continued on. "Do you have both your parents in your life?"

Serena was once again shocked by Miette's questioning, but answered nonetheless. "Yes... My mom stays home, occasionally participates in Ryhorn races, and my father works in an office... I don't see him much, but I know he loves me." As Serena talked, a small smile creeped onto her face.

Disgust was on Miette's face. "My father left me and my mom." She said, like it was old news.

"I'm so sorry..." Serena mused, pity on her face.

"Don't be, I don't care, I hope he's dead." Miette muttered, looking away, and then let out a sigh. "The reason I'm bringing this up is..." She paused, making sure with herself that she wants to say. "Is because I lacked love growing up." She said, plainly, as if it didn't affect her. "My mother, I love her, yes, but she was never around... always having to work to support the two of us, after my dirtbag of a father ran out on us." A small smile threatened to pull on her lips as she thought about her mother. "She owned a bakery, and loved it very much, maybe more than me, and I was forced to work there as well..." She let out a dry laugh. "I guess that's why my pokepuffs are so good..." Her eyes narrowed. "Since I was forced to make them..." Serena stayed quiet so that Miette speak her mind. "I was working endlessly in that shop, it was all ever did... even though I wanted more..." She closed her eyes in nostalgia. "I wanted to be the Kalos queen, a pokemon performer." A strained smile formed on Miette's lips, and she looked at Serena. "My mother didn't approve. She told me that I would inherit her bakery."

"But you're here." Serena stated the obvious. "Did your mother change her mind?"

Miette shook her head. "Nope." Miette winked. "So I ran away!" Serena gasped. "I ran away to fulfill my dream! ...and find something to fill in the void in my heart."

"And... you think Ash can fill that void?" Serena asked slowly.

Miette giggled, and winked. "More ways than one!"

"MIETTE!"

"Sorry, sorry, couldn't resist!" Miette defended herself, waving her arms up for protection. She let out a sigh to calm herself. "I want to find love, Serena, I've always been searching for it, even if I didn't know it."

Serena had a pained expression. "Fine." She muttered. "Then go... go tell him." A tear rolled down her face. "Find your love!" She covered her eyes with her hat. "I'll be okay..."

Miette smiled and walked up to her rival and hugged her. "I'm sorry, Serena." She started to rub the back of her head, soothingly. "I really am..." Serena kept crying, clinging onto the one person she never wanted to see her like this. "Christmas is coming... Maybe you'll get a good gift too." Miette thought as she continued stroking Serena's hair.

Ash paced back and forth in the pokemon center/hotel lobby with a troubled expression, he was still severely confused about... pretty much everything. And his talk with Clemont didn't really help. After he took his pal it was Miette on his mind, Clemont just kinda froze up and slowly left the room, saying he had to go make lunch... which was strange since they just ate. Ash didn't understand a lot of what's going on right now, but he did know one thing... Miette seems to be the root of these strange things. She's the cause of Ash feeling being weird, She seems to be the reason for Serena's standoffishness, who knows what was wrong with Clemont, but he did act weird when she was brought up so... maybe? And Bonnie was... still Bonnie. Ash sat down on one the chairs in the Christmas decorated lobby and sighed. He looked around and spotted a familiar head of hair, with his back turned. "Oh, Clemont, C'mere!"

Clemont flinched and slowly turned around with a forced smile. "Hey, Ash, what's up?"

Ash walked up to Clemont and said, "I wanted to ask you why you kinda froze up earlier."

Clemont grimaced, "Oh..." He knew Ash was blunt, but to just call him out! "That was... nothing, really." Clemont looked away. "Just surprised is all."

"Surprised? About Miette?"

"You could say that..." Clemont began, contemplating his words. "I'm just surprised for Serena is all."

Ash motioned his hands in confusion. "What are you talking about?"

Clemont shook his head and sighed. "I feel bad for Serena..."

"Why?"

Clemont was about to combust. He loves Ash, he does, but he can be so... dense. "Feelings... That's all I'll say."

Ash blinked a few times before letting out an, "Oh!" and smiling. "I think I get it."

"You do!?" Clemont was taken-aback, and almost jumped into the air in surprise.

"Yup." He nodded his head. "You like Serena!" Ash said, pointing at Clemont.

Clemont's cheeks flushed pink. "Whaa-!"

"Oooo, I'm interested in this!" The two boys turned to see Bonnie running up to them. "What's this about my brother liking Serena!?"

"Nothing!" Her brother said through barred teeth.

Bonnie squirmed in excitement. "Awww, if you're embarrassed, I can ask her to marry you!"

"That's a good idea!" Ash gave a thumbs up. "She might accept..." He mumbled, bringing his hand up to his chin in thought.

"Not sure about the acceptance part..." The trio turned to the door to see Miette. "But, I think it's a good idea too." She said with a wink.

The three of them walked up to Miette, Clemont being the first to say something. "Where is Serena?"

Miette's expression darkened for a second, but quickly covered it up with a smile. "She spotted one more store she wanted to go into." She lying! Serena actually ran off after she pulled away from Miette's hug. The blue-haired girl tried to find her, but... she knew that Serena probably wanted to be alone.

"How come you didn't go with?" Ash asked.

Miette bonked herself on the head. "Running out of money!"

Ash nodded with a small laugh. "Ah, I getcha."

After that there was silence, both Ash and Miette didn't know what to say to each other. The man was still confused by his "feelings" and the woman was trying to think of the right words.

Clemont looked at Ash then at Miette and back to Ash in quick succession. "Hey, Bonnie why don't we go eat something?" He asked, but grabbed her with his claw and carried her away.

"But, we just ate." Bonnie complained as she was carried away by her brother.

Miette giggled as she watched the siblings. "They sure make things fun!"

"Oh, yeah!" Ash agreed.

Miette looked around, making sure that it was just the two of them, it was. She breathed in... and let it out. "Ash."

When he heard his name he turned and asked. "What's up?"

Miette got closer to Ash, so close it made him blush, and placed a hand on his chest, looking up at him, since he was a good bit taller than her. "Can... you come..." She turned bright red, looking away in embarrassment. "To my hotel tonight?"

Ash just stared at the most adorable girl he's ever seen, dumbfounded. He just slowly nodded his head and mumbled. "Sure..."

Ash was pacing again! It is 9:30 pm, very much so nighttime, and he agreed that he'd meet with Miette tonight... BUT HE DIDN'T THINK MUCH ABOUT WHAT TO DO WHEN THAT TIME CAME! He was also worried about Serena... when she got back to the center, she looked... depressed... maybe defeated would be the word. Luckily Clemont and Bonnie said that they'd look after her. He looked back up the clock that was hanging on the wall and groaned... it was 9:40 pm now and he hasn't even taken a step out the door. He ruffed his hair and let out a moan of discomfort. "Why is this so hard?!"

Pikachu said on his trainer's bed, shaking his head. His master truly was hopeless. "Pikapi!" Him saying his trainer's name, got Ash to look at him. With his master's attention... it was pep talk time! "Pi Pika Pikachu, Pikapi Pi chu." He finished it off with a nod.

Ash nodded along with his pokemon. "Yeah, you're, I'm treating this like it's something scary..." He smiled at his pokemon. "But... it's not, right?" Pikachu nodded again. "Thanks Pikachu, I can figure the rest out on my own!" So, at 9:50 pm, Ash Ketchum dashed out of the pokemon center and to the Hotel, to face his destiny!

Miette had her face in one of her pillows, trying to hold back tears. It was now 10:00 pm... Was she a fool to think that he'd come? Was she a fool to think she'd find love? Was she a fool to think... anyone would love her back? She felt a shiver run through her body, she was in her light blue nightgown, with white frills on the side, but she did have the blanket to cover body with on... because she was still waiting, hoping he'd come. She rolled over, her hand covering one of her eyes, her hair undone, which goes to her shoulders when not put up, and she sighed, as she laid in the darkness... That was, before she heard a knock on her door, a frantic knock at that. She sprung up from her bed and ran over to the door, almost running right into it, and unlocked it, opening it to reveal a raven haired man who was panting, with a little sweat on his brow. "Ash?" She simply said, despite her many questions.

"Hey." Ash said, in-between pants. "Am I too late?" He asked, tilting his head ever so slightly.

Miette covered her mouth, to hide her trembling lips. "Nope..." A tear rolled down her face. "Right on time."

Ash gasp. "Why are you crying?!" He brought his hand up to her cheek and wiped it away, but as he tried to pull away, Miette grabbed his hand, keeping it on her cheek.

"You... don't know.. how happy I am... right now..." She choked out, in-between tears. Ash just stood there, unsure of what to say, so Miette took it upon herself to take the lead. She wrapped her arms around Ash's body and nuzzled into his chest. "Ash... I love you."

Ash's breathing stopped for a second, before he wrapped his arms around her too. "I... can't say that I know... what love is... so I-"

Miette cut him off, using her finger, putting in on his lips. "Shhh, I understand. If you don't know if it's love... that's okay." She smiled at him, with tears running down her face. "I don't understand love either."

Ash took in the sight of her, the first girl to ever make him even think about love, and spoke. "But, I do know that what I feel... is different from normal."

Those words made Miette's heart soar. "That's enough for me." She said slowly.

"I'm sorry." Ash apologized. Even he didn't know why he did so.

Miette giggled, shaking her head. "Don't be, I understand, really, it's hard for me to understand love too."

For some reason, something in Ash's heart wanted him to tell her why. Why he doesn't understand. "I never had a father growing up, he died before I could know him... so, I don't really know what love is."

Miette gasped. "I'm so sorry."

"It's okay..." He looked away... then to her.

"If it makes you feel better... I can relate." Miette admitted slowly. "Well.. my dad's alive..." Her face darkened. "And a prick."

Now it was Ash's turn to laugh. "Well, he's an idiot for giving up on an amazing daughter."

Miette blushed. "Sh-shut up! She gently pushed him away. "I didn't ask for your praise, you know!"

Ash laughed again. "Well, you got it!"

Miette slowly creeped back over to Ash, and looked up at him, still blushing. "So.. What are we now?"

"What do you mean?" Ash asked, confusion clear in his voice.

"Stupid!" Miette lightly pounded in his chest. "I want to know if I'm your girlfriend!"

The word "girlfriend" made Ash a little embarrassed... But he knew the answer. "Yeah... that sounds right."

Miette had a confident smirk now on her face. "Good." She nodded. "So you better be free Christmas."

"Why?"

"Stupid!" Miette looked away in frustration. "BECAUSE I'D WANT TO SPEND IT WITH YOU!" She blurted out, her face as red as Pikachu's cheeks.

"Oh!" Now it was Ash's turn to blush. "Yeah.. I don't think I'll have a match then..."

It was now Christmas day, and the group, with Miette as a full member now, were sitting in Ash and Clemont's room for a gift exchange.

The gang was... adjusting to Miette and Ash's relationship. Bonnie was thrilled that one of the guys in her life have someone to take care of them other than her. Clemont didn't mind, never having a problem with the blue-haired girl, but he did feel bad for Serena. And the honey blonde in question was coping, like anything, you have to grieve the loss. She had a chat with Miette and the winner of the two promised to keep the lovey dovey-ness to a minimum around her. Things were going fine.

Everyone, but Ash, had received gifts from the rest, even Miette was able to snatch some presents for her new companions, but now, it was Ash's turn to get some gifts. Miette voted to go first. "Now, I didn't have time to wrap this... but I'm sure you'll like it."

Ash smiled at his new girlfriend, his first. "That's fine, you didn't have to get me anything away."

Miette pouted, "I'd be the worst girlfriend ever if I didn't get a gift for my boyfriend..."

The rest of the group watched the two with dead eyes, when Ash noticed this he pressed his girlfriend to continue. "So, what did you get me?"

Miette looked around shyly. "Okay. Close your eyes."

"Gotcha!" He closed his eyes, and the next thing he knew he felt a warm sensation on his lips. Ash opened his eyes to see Miette kissing him, blushing, so, he tried his best to kiss back.

The rest looked on, all deep red, but Serena was the one to react. "MIETTE!"

Miette pulled away and winked. "That was my first, so no refunds on that present!"
