"Kakashi!" Sakura frantically called out to the silver-haired jonin. "Kakashi!" She shouted. Tears are streaming down her face when she can't find him from the mass of people in the village.
According to Iruka, Kakashi fought Pain. But she had been running in circles and she can't still find him. "Where are you, Kakashi?" her question floated in the air.
Sakura's heart raced as she continued to search the bustling village for any sign of Kakashi. Dead shinobis littered the once bustling streets of Konoha. She knows Kakashi is tough, Pain can't easily bring him down. But Pain almost destroyed the village in about one second.
"Kakashi!" she shouted. The tears in her eyes blurred her vision, and the weight of worry bore down on her like a heavy stone. She doesn't care that the villagers are now openly staring at her. She doesn't care that they are murmuring around her. She needed to see Kakashi. She needed to see him alive. She doesn't care if he is injured or battered, she just needs him to be alive.
"Sakura." a small feminine voice called out her name. She recognizes the voice. It's the distinct voice of Lady Katsuyu, Lady Tsunade's summon. She looked around her and found the small slug, she picked it up.
"Lady Katsuyu, do you know where Kakashi is?" she asked her master's summoning creature. The slug is small but every little slug is connected to each other. If Kakashi is being healed by another, then the little Lady Katsuyu in her hands would know where he is. "Where is Kakashi?" She demanded to the little white with blue slug when it didn't answer her.
"He's over there." the slug answered, it's tiny head pointing to the direction of the man she had been looking for.
Sakura immediately run to the direction the slug pointed her to. Hope filled her chest as she saw a bigger white and blue slug latching on Kakashi. But her hope was instantly crushed when she realized that Kakashi is buried under a rubble of stones and only his shoulders up to his head can be seen. His head is also thrown back in an awkward angle. It was a terrifying sight, and Sakura's worst fears had come to life.
"Kakashi!" She cried out in anguish as she approached the scene. Her tears flowed freely as she dropped to her knees beside him, her hands trembling. The debris had him trapped, and his condition looked grave.
Without a moment's hesitation, Sakura began to summon her chakra and channeled it into her hands. She needed to act quickly. She couldn't lose Kakashi, not after everything they had been through. With great effort, she started moving the heavy stones aside, working tirelessly to free him.
As the rubble was slowly cleared away, Sakura's heart ached at the sight of Kakashi's battered and unconscious form. It was evident that he had endured a brutal battle with Pain. She gently cradled his head, carefully realigning it, all the while praying for his safety.
"Kakashi, please, stay with me," Sakura whispered, her voice trembling. She summoned a big dose of green chakra and started to heal his injuries but no matter what she does Kakashi's eyes remained closed. She summoned all her strength and started to push the green chakra in his chest, her tears are making small dark green circles in his jonin vest.
"Sakura, don't waste your chakra. He's gone."
Sakura's world shattered as Lady Katsuyu's words cut through her desperate attempts to save Kakashi. The realization that he might already be gone sent a wave of grief and anguish crashing over her. She felt her hands trembling, her tears mixing with the green chakra she was channeling into Kakashi's body.
"No. He can't die. He can't leave me," Sakura repeated, her voice choked with emotion. She refused to accept the possibility that Kakashi was beyond saving. Her love for him and her determination to keep him alive fueled her actions.
She continued to pour every ounce of her strength and chakra into Kakashi, desperately trying to wake him. Her hands glowed with intense green energy, and she pushed it deeper into his body, focusing on every injury she could find. She wouldn't give up, not when Kakashi had always been there for her, and she couldn't bear the thought of losing him now.
The villagers, who had been watching in stunned silence, could see the sheer determination in Sakura's eyes. Lady Katsuyu, despite her somber words, understood the depth of Sakura's love and devotion for the dead jonin. The slug stayed by her side, even though it's clear that he will no longer wake up, she won't leave Sakura face that reality alone.
Time seemed to blur as Sakura worked tirelessly, her chakra surging through Kakashi's body. She ignored the pain and exhaustion, pouring every ounce of her being into her efforts to bring him back. She wouldn't give up, not as long as there was a sliver of hope, no matter how faint.
But as minutes turned into hours, the reality of the situation became increasingly undeniable. Kakashi's stillness persisted, his eyes remained closed, and there was no sign of life returning to him.
Exhausted and heartbroken, Sakura finally stopped her efforts, she can feel her hands are unstead as she touched Kakashi's cold skin. She buried her face in his chest, sobbing uncontrollably, unable to accept the loss of the man she loved.
"Kakashi!" she anguished wail was heard by the villagers that were watching the scene. As Sakura's anguished cry echoed through the village, the onlookers could feel the depth of her pain and desperation. They may not have known the full extent of Sakura and Kakashi's relationship, or if the silver-haired man even knew and reciprocated her emotions, but it was evident that her love for him was profound. The villagers' hearts ached for the sobbing girl who had fought so hard to save the life of the man she cared about.
That is the scene that the village dwellers are watching when suddenly, specks of green light began to shower the village, and one of them landed on Kakashi's battered form. The villagers held their breath, their eyes fixed on the miraculous sight unfolding before them. They watched in awe as Kakashi, who had been unresponsive to Sakura's efforts, showed signs of life.
