Chapter 1
The Train
A train was moving and Grimm were roaring.
Team SHDE was on the very back roof of the train fighting Griffin Grimm.
Erika fired her spear to keep dodging the attacks of two of them.
The two Grimm ran straight at her and she shot her spear going between them.
As she moved she quickly dropped seeds under them.
Her hand glowed for a second.
The seeds quickly growed and dragged the Grimm off the train.
"Bye bye."
Erika waved at the Grimm.
Dawn was shooting at two of them while in the air.
The Grimm kept charging so she jumped over them
Her strings wrapped around the monsters and were pulled together.
She quickly stabbed their heads as a third Grimm charged at her.
Dawn turned her weapon into its ax mode and split the Grimm's head.
Hiroki was shooting Grimm in the air causing them to fall.
He quickly turned his weapon to the double sided kitana mode and spinned it, destroying the Grimm that fell towards him.
Three Grimm flew straight at him.
He responded by splitting his weapon while activating his semblance.
With one slash, a blade beam went through the Grimm destroying all three.
His semblance deactivated immediately.
Shade was surrounded on his own train car with four Grimm around him.
One of the Grimm jumped at him.
Shade quickly punched it to the ground and stabbed it in the back.
The more Grimm ran at him.
They tried to slash him but he put up his shield and pushed them back.
He retracted his shields and ran at the grimm before shoving both blades through their heads.
The last Grimm ran at Shade while he was distracted but was interrupted with both swords making an x on its neck.
"Nice try."
Shade decapitated the Grimm.
Another one flew directly at Shade but immediately went past him.
The Grimm went towards Hiroki who immediately destroyed it.
Hiroki saw the Grimm ignore Shade.
"What happened?"
He asked Shade while looking confused.
"Tunnel!"
Before Shade could respond Oscar had shouted towards everyone.
Each member of SHDE jumped between the train cars with Shade entering the caboose of the train.
Unaware of the figure in the train looking at him.
Shade held his head a little and thought to himself.
'Is this what you meant?'
Several days in the Shadow Scape…
Shade was standing in front of the hooded figure with chains still on his limbs.
'It seems you've finally accepted it.'
"The power I used to beat Cinder."
'Yes although only a fraction of that power was used and it was only temporary.'
The figure walked towards Shade.
'If you accept the darkness again you can have that power used all time.'
Shade backed away only to have the chains pull him back.
'Just give in.'
He closed his eyes and when he opened them he was in his room in Haven.
Shade put his hand on his head.
"The Darkness inside me is growing."
He said to himself.
Days later…
Everyone was at the Train Station getting ready to head to Argus.
Team SHDE was separate from the others at the time.
"You sure you don't want to say goodbye to your friend?"
Dawn asked Erika.
Erika just shook her head.
"Ilia has always been more of Blake's friend then mine."
Hiroki glanced at Erika which she noticed as he looked away.
Erika sighed and looked down.
Dawn and Shade watched them awkwardly.
"Dawn, what can we expect at Atlas?"
"I'm not sure, my main focus was getting Weiss out."
Shade sighed before quickly turning towards his right.
"Shade?"
Dawn asked.
He turned back to her.
"Sorry I just felt like someone was watching me."
Shade's shadow moved a bit.
Dawn noticed this and remembered Shade after The Battle of Haven.
'When he used that power he was unconscious for three days straight it can't be right.'
Shade noticed two Huntsman walking away from the others.
"I feel like we missed something important."
It wasn't long before everyone was on a train including an unexpected passenger.
Team SHDE was settling in their quarters with Hiroki and Shade on one side while Erika and Dawn were on the other.
Hiroki and Erika were glancing at one another while Shade was doing maintenance on his gear and Dawn was meditating.
Shade and Dawn could sense the obvious tension between their Teammates.
Suddenly the Train shook.
"Grimm."
Shade said while quickly putting his weapons back on.
The Team quickly went to the top of the train and saw the large amount of Grimm attacking two huntsmen before taking one of them away.
A loud screech came from a bigger griffin Grimm.
One was on the back of the train facing Team SHDE while the other was looking at Team RWBY and Qrow.
Team SHDE readied their weapons.
Erika began shooting her spear to dodge incoming attacks from the Grimm in front of her.
She heard a Grimm charging at her but the Grimm died before it got to close.
Hiroki was behind her and had shoved his blade through the Grimm's chest.
Erika tripped the Grimm in front of her and stabbed it.
While this was happening the Huntsman the Grimm didn't take had activated a defensive mechanism on the train, locking it down and making the turret rise from the train roofs.
The large Grimm screamed and more Grimm went towards the train and started destroying the turrets up until Oscar shouted tunnel.
The Grimm backed off and the Teams retreated to the train.
Shade began walking back towards the front of the train while holding his head.
'Just let the darkness take you and all your problems will be over.'
The voice of the Shadow Figure echoed through his head.
'Shut up.'
Shade thought to himself as he ran into Hiroki first.
"What happened to that Grimm?"
Hiroki asked.
"I don't know the Grimm just ignored me for some reason."
Shade was still holding his head.
"Something changed the night Haven attacked."
He told his teammate while moving his hand back.
"I should be fine though."
Hiroki didn't believe Shade at all.
The two met their other teammates and returned to the others to see Jaune healing the Huntsman's busted arm.
Ruby walked to Team SHDE.
"We got him to turn off the turents."
"That's good but we still have all the negative emotions around these people."
Shade said.
Nora looked at Ren.
"Ren, can you use your semblance to mask the emotions of everyone on this train?"
Ren shook his head.
"I've never attempted to mask this many people."
Hiroki spoke up
"You might not have to."
Everyone looked at Hiroki.
"If Jaune amplifies my aura I should be able to absorb all the negativity around the train then you mask myself, it should work."
Shade went next to Hiroki.
"Are you sure about this?"
"No but it would be less strain on Ren so it's the smartest route. I should be able to keep the emotions in check for a while."
"I'm afraid there's one complication."
Ozpin said while walking to the center of the room.
"Grimm are also attracted to this."
He points at the relic on his side.
Hiroki shook his head.
"I dont think I'll be any help with that."
"Oz are you serious?"
Qrow asked.
"Why wouldn't you tell us that?"
Yang questioned.
"It doesn't matter right now."
Ruby interrupted Ozpin before he could speak.
"Every second we're on this train we put everyone in danger."
Ruby's plan involved cutting the back cars off the train while the train passengers were safely moved to the front of the train.
Shade looked at his teammates.
"Erika you help get the passengers to the front cars, Hiroki stand by and wait to hide their emotions, Dawn, We're on Grimm slaying duty."
Before any of his teammates could argue he quickly spoke up.
"If anything happens we will all meet in Argus, I swear."
They saw a determined look similar to when he first entered Shadow Possession.
Erika ran to the back of the train while Hiroki waited at the front.
She quickly jumped to the other side as Blake cut the train.
The two nodded at each other before Erika ran inside.
Blake jumped to the roof
Both Faunus unaware of the pressenses that were watching them
Shade and Dawn watched the Grimm fly out of the tunnel.
"Are you ready for this?"
Dawn asked.
"I wish I could say yes."
Shade said while holding his swords.
Dawn looked worried as she readied her ax.
The two heard Ruby shout.
Hiroki focused as his semblance activated while Jaune stood next to him.
Negativity from across the train began to flow into Hiroki.
Ren used his semblance on Hiroki and all the negativity vanished from the Grimm's senses.
While this was happening, Shade and Dawn were slashing all the Grimm that were near them.
But even as they were quickly disposing the Grimm more and more kept showing up.
"I'm starting to get more annoyed at this than tired."
Dawn stated as a Grimm was about to charge into Shade.
Suddenly the Grimm went past both him and Dawn and went towards the others.
Shade shook his head and shot it with a laser before it got too close.
"Shade, what was that?"
"Look, I'm not sure, ok."
Shade felt a presence and quickly jumped to the next Train Car with Dawn.
A second big chimera like Grimm had crashed on the Train Car they were on.
Its claws slightly opening the roof.
The Grimm clawed at the roof again making it halfway open.
"Why is it attacking the train?"
Dawn shouted.
"Don't know but if you have a plan now would be the time."
Shade said.
"Restrict it!"
Shade smirks and runs towards the Grimm and uses his shield to block its claw from destroying the roof further.
He looked down and saw a small figure in a hood.
'What?'
Shade thought as the Grimm's tail attempted to stab him.
A shadow rose from the inside of the train car and shoved its tail into the Grimm's chest.
"Dawn now!"
As if on cue Dawn's ax blade went straight through the Grimm's skull.
The Grimm vanished and Shade looked at the hooded figure who looked back at Shade.
"I've found you at last."
The voice wasn't the same as the last hooded figure that talked to Shade.
Before Shade could respond he heard an explosion.
He and Dawn saw the train track ahead was broken and the train was about to go off the rails.
Suddenly Shade's eyes turned black.
A shadow arm pulled the hooded figure to him and Dawn and the shadows around Shade surrounded the three as the train flew into the snowy field.
Everyone who was on the train was now off the train.
"Is everyone ok?"
Qrow asked
Everyone began to get up.
"I'm fine."
Weiss said.
"Yeah, where's Shade and Dawn?"
Yang asked.
Almost on cue some snow landed near them.
They looked and saw Shade breathing heavily while Dawn helped him stand.
The hooded figure looked at Shade and Dawn.
"The Shadow Manipulator."
She said,
"Who are you?"
The hooded figure's hood fell slowly to reveal her yellow hair and fox ears.
"A faunus?"
Dawn said.
"A child?"
The girl looked around twelve years old and had cyan eyes
"My name is Circa Blues and I was told to find you."
She pointed at Shade.
(SHDE Volume 6 Opening starts)
Chains rise from the shadows and surround Shade.
He reaches up towards the hands of his teammates as they quickly grab his hand causing a flash of light.
(Stay close, move fast)
SHDE Volume 6 is in front of a shadow moon, the shadow and words vanish to reveal the broken moon.
(The darkness cannot last)
Team SHDE is in the train station separate from the others.
(No hope, no path)
Erika and Hiroki were sitting across from one another on the train.
(But we've got a dream to catch)
Both of them were looking out the window, Hiroki was touching the scar on his eye. An image of Adam and Shin was briefly shown.
(And we can not wait)
Shade and Dawn were in a snowy field looking at Circa who smiled at them before a strange energy emitted from her.
(Trust the way we're made)
Apathy arms were heading toward Shade who was about to block them
(The sparrow's born to fly)
The arms ignored Shade and went straight for Ruby who began fighting them off.
(The mountains tower)
Shade's eyes flash black as he holds his head in pain.
(The river knows to reach the sea)
A slash transitions to Adam and Shin in the throne room standing over bodies.
(Rain will help the flowers be)
Hazel and Tyrian are shown, then Yuki and Monika, then Emerald and Mercury, and finally Watts and Kiryu.
(Were the same you and me)
Salem screams as blue smoke surrounds her
(The lightning doesn't take advice from anyone)
A man in pure black armor and a woman in silver armor were glaring at one another.
(The willow doesn't need to learn to stand)
The two armored people turned into a black and silver energy ball and spinned around before vanishing, revealing Shade taking the Relic of Knowledge from Ruby. Shade looked down while Ruby was surprised.
(As sun seeks day)
Team JNR with Qrow and Oscar were fighting on the train.
(We'll find our way)
Circa is shown hiding from Grimm in stormy weather
(And we'll catch that dream together someday soon)
Erika is using her spear to dodge a Grimm before stabbing it with her spear, Dawn attached her strings to her gun blades and threw them at a Grimm slicing its skull and Hiroki slashed a blade beam killing two Grimm.
(We're rising like the moon)
Shade jumps ahead of his team and spins with his two blades slicing many Grimm in his way.
As the dust clears Team SHDE is standing on a mountain facing the ocean.
AN:And with that the first Chapter of Volume 6 is done, i spent a lot of time working on this in order to get it out for christmas, speaking of which i hope you all are having a happy holiday. So yeah with Circa added to the group who knows what kind of adventure we'll be having. Well just stay tuned. I don't want to give away too much.
