I had a new idea for this story, at least this way I'm not totally mooching off the original authors work. Hope it works.
Dont own Harry Potter

Tonks smiled as she came into class. It was the first day of primary school, the one thing she didn't like about it was that her mum forced her to keep one form for at least a week so the muggles didn't get suspicious. Looking around she eyed her new classmates, the only one that stood out to her was the fat tub of lard who had this look on his face that screamed of an undeserved ego. Idly listening to the teacher as she called names she learned that his name was Dudley.
She couldn't help herself, "he certainly does look like a Dud doesn't he?"
The class burst out laughing, the fat boy glared at her, "yes, yes, very funny miss Tonks. Now then, Harry Potter?" Her eyes widened at the name and she looked around until she came to a short boy with messy raven locks… he was wearing rags. The boy looked around confused. When no reply came, it was as if he didn't even know his name.
Looking around she frowned, everyone's eyes got glazed for a second when they looked at him and then all she could see was anger directed at him. "Muggle fury potion." She mumbled under her breath.
After the teacher had yelled at Harry, the class was fairly normal. When lunch came, she walked over to Harry and stared with a frown as he pulled out a wet piece of green bread. "Oi mind if I sit here?"
Freak… no, he should probably get used to his real name now, looking up, he saw a girl with pink hair in a pixie cut, his eyes drifted towards his cousin, who was glaring at him around the mountain of food his parents had packed for him. "I don't think that is such a good idea."
"Oh budge over already." She slid into the bench next to him. "Where is the rest of your lunch then?"
"This is all I get to eat usually." He mumbled.
Tonks frowned, "well, here. You're gonna need something to wash that down then." She took out a juice box from her pocket, this was something her mum had given her. Being raised as a pureblood, she knew all too well the different ways that someone could manipulate someone, so she had given Tonks a potion she made. It was designed to flush out all foreign magics out of the body and send a report to her mum so she had evidence to sue if necessary. Being a lawyer she knew the tricks.
Harry blushed and thanked her then took a sip of the juice.
She smiled when the faint glow was seen around him and everyone she saw seemed to look around in confusion, the anger all forgotten.
Tonks smiled as she climbed the ladder to the slide, she enjoyed playing with the other kids, but something was wrong… looking around from the top of the slide, she knew what it was instantly.
Harry Potter was nowhere to be found. Sliding down, she looked around and her face scrunched in confusion at a girl she hadn't seen in class… perhaps a year younger? She was small enough.
"Come on. Let's go find the freak. I need to work some frustration out." The fatso passed by her, with several kids who looked like they were born when their parents did drugs.
"Hey!" The girl jumped in surprise, "you know where a boy is? Green eyes, messy black hair?"
She shook her head frantically, and Tonks narrowed her eyes when she caught the blue eyes of the girl shift to green for a second. The fatso growled in anger, "that freak always disappears if he isn't in detention. Come on. Time for target two."
Tonks watched the group head off and began beating up a boy with glasses that she remembered had always answered every question. A real know it all. Turning back she looked closer and she recognized the brown dress that she was wearing seemed to fit in with Harry's shirt. "You're Harry. Arent you?"
Her eyes widened and she shook her head, a high pitched voice spoke out, "no! Sorry I've got to go." She leaped up and ran away. Tonks smirked a little and followed after her, straight to the female restroom. Entering she leaned against the wall and watched as her hair receded and she became a he.
Tonks squealed and pulled him into a hug, dragging him out of the bathroom before he got in trouble.
After school, Harry was slowly heading back to the Dursleys, "Hey Harry!" Turning he saw the girl who had been sitting next to him during lunch and had seen him shift… Tonks?
"Hi, Tonks. What do you want? If I don't get back my aunt and uncle won't like that dinner will be late."
Tonks frowned and shook her head, "whatever, c'mon. I want you to meet my mum." She took his hand and dragged him away. Neither of them noticed the fat boy glaring at them the whole time.
Dudley did not like school like he thought he would. He had expected to be king of the school, but after that girl's joke, everyone snickered at him when he was around. The only good part would be when the freak got yelled at for not knowing his name, but to be fair he didn't know it either. He was going to tell his parents something bad about him. Perhaps seeing him get beat would improve his mood, always did before.
Harry gulped at the woman who was waiting for them at the school gates. She didn't resemble Tonks at all… or the other way around he supposed.
"Mum! Meet my friend Harry Potter." her eyes went wide briefly.
"A pleasure Harry. Come along, you and Nymphadora can play once we get home."
"Um… I have to get back to the Dursley's… they don't like it if dinner's late." He ran a hand through his hair, he knew he was in for a beating as it was. Dudley had been humiliated in class, so naturally, they would blame him. He pulled out the empty box and Andromeda's eyes widened, "here Tonks… thanks for the juice."
"What does your presence have to do with Dinner young man?" Andromeda asked.
"Um… well… I kinda cook for them." He looked down at his feet and bolted.
Tonks scowled, "you saw the results right mum?"
Andromeda nodded, "of course Nymphadora. I knew Dumbledore wasn't to be trusted. Come along."
"He's a metamorphmagus mum!" She chased after her.
Andromeda stopped short and looked down at her daughter, "you're sure about that?"
Tonks nodded, "he was a female at recess, I saw him turn back in the girls' bathroom."
Andromeda smiled slightly. That would give them leverage against returning him to the muggles, nobody would want a young metamorph among muggles as they couldn't control themselves enough. It would break the statute.
Andromeda approached number four privet drive and frowned. "Remnants of Blood wards?! Dumbledore is the biggest hypocrite I have ever met. Those are illegal."
Waving her wand and silencing her heels, she entered the house. It was like a hospital wing, sterile, and unnaturally clean. Ascending the stairs she opened the first door and frowned. It was full of toys, mostly broken. In the second room, she promptly shut from the fat man snoring his head off. How his wife slept was entirely unknown.
The third room had a fat child the age of her daughter snoring loudly, and the final room was a guest room. Frowning, she waved her wand and looked around at the red outlines of humans in the house. Her eyes narrowed at the red mist emitting from the stairs. Descending, she spotted a cupboard door with a lock on the outside with runes surrounding the thing designed to make any who didn't know it was there to disregard it. She nearly gagged at the smell that rushed out from the door when she opened it and gasped at the tiny form inside. Covered in blue spots and his limbs in the wrong position.
Growling, Andromeda released the Black deep within her and carried the boy out as the worn armchair caught fire. By the time the police got there, it would be too late. The cinders from the dying fire had caused a fire that burnt the whole block down, but she didn't care. Harry and her daughter had practically been born at the same time, and Lily had decided that because of that she was to be his godmother instead of the original, Alice Longbottom. It had taken years to track the boy down and she would not allow his abuse to continue at the hands of an old fool who should have retired decades ago. Entering her house, she set the boy down and threw some floo powder into the fireplace. Only one person would be able to heal him and not feel the need to go to the old fool and report his location. "Grimmauld Place."
A near-perfect replica of her stepped out of the kitchen, "Andi?" Bellatrix Black asked. Up until the dark lord's fall, she had Been feared as the dark lord's right-hand woman, Bellatrix Lestrange. However, once the dark lord vanished, her mind was cleared and she ran straight for the Auror department. After an interrogation under Veritaserum, and several months in Saint Mungos, she was released. Several other Death Eaters tried the same, and even though they did get released, they weren't trusted or able to get decent jobs because they refused to be questioned under the truth serum. Lucius Malfoy was pissed at that one, he may have the minister's trust, but no one else's, so most of the Bill's he tried to put forward were rejected.
"Bells, I found Harry… he needs a healer and we both know Dumb-as-a-Door will find out if I just take him to Saint Mungo's."
Bella Sighed, "I'll see what I can do Andi, but you know I'm still training to be a healer. You might not have a choice."
Andromeda sighed and backed out of the fireplace pushing a brick in to allow her sister to enter. She took one look at Harry and her Lilac eyes hardened.
Harry groaned as consciousness came back to him slowly, he was amazed that Vernon hadn't woken him yet for his daily feast… or Dudley waking him up earlier than Vernon bitching about being hungry… or even Petunia waking him up at the crack of dawn to bitch about his mum or talk shit about her too.
"Open your eyes, Harry." He opened them to a familiar face, but her eyes and hair were all wrong.
"Mrs. Tonks… didn't you have brown hair and grey eyes?"
She blinked and chuckled, "ah! Right… close, but no, Andromeda is my sister. I'm Bellatrix, how are you feeling?"
"Sore… but oddly I feel full of energy."
Bellatrix nodded and sat back, "good… I managed to fix your eyes so you can see properly. That excess energy should fade too. I removed the seals on your magic so your body is readjusting to the full girth of your core, which is amazingly large for your age… and I managed to purge that filthy thing in your scar."
"Wotcher Harry! I see auntie Bella fixed you up good."
Harry blinked in confusion, "Tonks? Wasn't your hair pink and shorter?" Tonks now had blonde hair that stretched down to her waist and her eyes were a vivid purple.
She giggled and Harry stared amazed as her hair receded and changed to what it was at school. "You are like us Harry! You're a metamorphmagus, a magical that can shift their appearance."
"Magic isn't real." He said almost on reflex.
All three women frowned, "Then how were you able to turn into a girl at recess?" Tonks asked.
Bellatrix let out a full-blown laugh, "he can fully change his gender, but doesn't think magic is real?" Her eyes darkened, "I'd kill those muggle relatives of yours if their house hadn't burned down with them in it."
Andromeda shrugged, "come along Harry, breakfast is ready. You'll be staying with me and Nymphadora from now on. It's for the best, we are the only people in all of magical Britain who can teach you about your abilities."
"You should probably take him to Potter manor too Andi. So he can learn about his heritage… also, take him to Gringotts. I highly doubt he has his key."
Andromeda frowned at the implication on that one. You never gave your key to someone, unless you trusted them explicitly. She didn't think Dumbledore would rob him blind, but at this point...she wouldn't put it past him either. She just thanked the higher powers that the Wizengamot had given her magical custody of Harry, not Dumbledore. Even though the old man had hidden him away and refused to give him to her. Even at the cost of his government positions.
Harry stared wide-eyed at the table, the food on it would make even Dudley full. "Eat up Harry. We've got to eat more than usual because of our abilities. Especially the more advanced ones like you pulled at school."
Harry hesitantly grabbed his fork and took a bite, he smiled happily and dug in once more. Not even Bellatrix said anything about him eating.
"How is he alive Bella?" Andromeda whispered, "you know just as well as I that us metamorphs must eat more than usual due to our Gene's being more active than others."
"It's his magic. As I said, he is extremely powerful magically." Andromeda looked confused, "if I had to guess, the combination of the Horcrux in his scar and his magic being sealed. Instead of becoming an obscurial like usual, his magic worked on overdrive. It began to heal his body and keep it healthy as much as possible, while at the same time fighting off the influence of the Horcrux. As his body kept using his magic, it grew in power to keep Harry alive."
Andromeda nodded, if Harry's body was constantly using his magic… it would cause his magic to rapidly increase to also allow for natural accidental magic to occur for his body to regulate his magic properly and get his body used to his magic flowing through his body.
Harry sighed as he rubbed his stomach as he had never eaten that much food before. It kind of hurt, looking in his new mirror he could hardly recognize himself. Whatever Andromeda and Bellatrix had put in his food was working… he couldn't see his bones through his skin anymore, and he was wearing clothing that fit him.
Groaning in pleasure as he laid down onto his new bed, he smiled, his eyes drifting close. "I could get used to this..."
A knock sounded on his door, and Harry gazed lazily at the door as Tonks came in, he was too tired to do anything as she climbed into his bed and snuggled up with him.
Andromeda grinned sweetly as she walked by Harry's room with her daughter curled up next to him. "Well, at least you're too young for anything sneaky to happen." She shut the door and headed to bed, frowning slightly at the slight reminders of her husband. "I just hope her love life goes better than mine."
