Things are going to start to get messy for poor Mack in the next few chapters!
Also please note over the next couple of days you may get alerts from me replacing chapters to all of my stories! i assure you its not re writes but i am taking my time to fix all my grammar mistakes in every story i have so bear with me!
"Tommy have you seen my white sweater the one with the star on the back?" Mack asked her brother as she joined him in the kitchen.
Tommy turned holding his coffee. "No did you check the lab?"
"I did but its not there"
"Is it at Ryan's, call him and see because he is coming here today to help me with something" Tommy suggested as he heard a car door. He watched as Mack went into the dino lab. "Kim?"
"Hey" She greeted as Tommy let her in. "What are you doing here?" Tommy asked.
"I was in the area so i thought i would come by and see how your doing?" Kim told him. "Is Mack home? Jason filled me in"
"Get out!" Mack yelled at the brunette as she came to stand by the table. "Do i have to repeat myself?"
"Mack relax" Tommy whispered touching her shoulders. "Mack go i hear Ryan's truck" Mack pulled out of her brother's hold and slammed the door.
"Hey Mack" Ryan greeted but had to duck as an ice dagger flew over his head landing in his tire. "Hey! what did that tire ever do to you?"
"Sorry but the witch of the west is here. Kim. Please tell me your here to kidnap me and take me away from the house?" She pleaded.
"Sorry but Tommy needs my help in the lab since Ethan is sick". He told her trying not to laugh at her puppy eyes. Mack hung her head and went into the backyard.
Ryan walked carefully into the house. He nodded at the brunette who was eyeing him carefully. Kim knew who he was and his past so she was weary of him.
Ryan was sat at the computer trying to ignore the looks she was giving him but he had enough. "Okay Kim enough, you got something to say then say it!"
"I want you to go. I want you out of her life"
Tommy looked up from the other computer. He slowly stood up.
"Excuse me?" Ryan questioned. "What is your problem?"
"My problem Ryan is you! We barely know you! i barely know you! I know all about your demon filled past. You hurt Mack once and i will not see you hurt her again! i will not let Mesogog use your past against us!" Kim yelled.
"You know nothing about me, you think you know all don't you. Just because i haven't known Mack as long as you doesn't mean i don't love her. Kim i never hurt Mack and i never would."
"Guys calm down" Tommy tried getting inbetween them.
"You know what Kimberly screw you. I tried for years to get you to trust me, i'm done. Tommy tell Mack i will see her later. I will not be around as long as she is here" Ryan snapped pointing at Kim. He ran up the stairs.
Mack heard the commotion and ran inside noticing Ryan speeding away. "What happened?"
"Its for the best" Kim muttered.
"Kim what did you do?"
"Mack i don't trust him around you. So i told him to stay away from you"
"You what?!" Mack growled glaring at her. "Kimberly not once has Ryan hurt me. How dare you try an control who is in my life and who isn't. You don't even know him!"
"No? then how come he hurt you in a fire?! Mack he was evil and now Mesogog is around and if he finds out he will use it against us!"
Mack pushed Kim back causing Tommy to wrap his arms around her. "Let me guess Jason told you huh?" Tommy let her go as he phone rang. "What!?" Mack stiffened causing Tommy to look at her. Mack felt tears stream down her cheeks. "I'll be right there!"
"Mack what is it?"
"I need to get to Mariner Bay. Ryan's in the hospital" She whispered after a moment. "That was Dana, he got hurt in a fire on his way home"
"Go, streak through the back woods and we will follow" Tommy told her as she never hesitated and ran out in a blur. "Kim what you did was uncalled for. Ryan and the Mitchell's love Mack like she is their own, maybe if you stop interfering so much and ask Mack about their story then you would understand. I will let Conner and the team know we are going to be gone so they can keep an eye on the place"
Kim nodded and followed Tommy out of the house as they sped to Mariner Bay.
Mariner Bay General Hospital...
Mack rushed through the doors. "Dana!" She called to get her attention. Mack ran into her arms. "Dana what happened? how is he?"
Dana led her to the waiting area as her Father joined them. "Mack, Carter got called to a fire and when he got there the ceiling collapsed on top of Ryan. He has three broken ribs. He has swelling on his brain. He also has a broken leg so he is still in surgery" Mack gripped the older man's arms as he told her.
"He's going to make it right?" She sobbed. "He has to". Mack looked up to see her brother walk in. She ran up to him and gripped onto him. "Tommy he's hurt"
"I know kiddo i know" Tommy rubbed her back to try and calm her as he shared a look with Dana. "Come on lets go and wait" He told his sister as he led her to the waiting room. Dana gave Kim a look to back off.
Kim felt the guilt come crashing into her body as they sat to wait. She glanced at Mack who who had her head on Tommy's lap and her legs across Carter's who arrived. They perked up as the doctor came in.
"Please is he okay?" Dana rushed out.
Doctor Reynold's swallowed. "Ryan came through surgery. The only thing i am concerned with right now is the swelling on his brain from the hit he took. He is still asleep from the sedation from surgery which should wear off in another hour or so after that its up to him but i am optimistic. He does have a rod in his leg since the bone was broken. You can all go see if you want to".
Everyone started to walk. Mack nearly fell to the floor but Carter caught her. "Hey come on" Carter led her out of the room.
"Mackenzie" Kim called but she never turned around. "I'm sorry"
"You should be. I want you out of my sight" Mack growled as Carter led her out of the room. Tommy took Kim's hand and led her down the hall.
Kim stopped at the door to Ryan's room and let out a sob at the sight before her. "Now you see how much he means to her" Tommy spoke softly as they watched Mack climb in next to Ryan and curl into his side. "I'll go get us some coffee"
Mack curled into her hero's side. She looked up as his face as he slept. She was thankful he could breathe on his own and just needed an oxygen mask. "Wake up please" She whispered linking her hand with his. She felt her body relax and sleep took her.
Dana smiled at the two as she covered her with a blanket. "She stole his heart after all these years" She whispered feeling Kim enter the room.
"Dana i'm sorry."
"Its not me you should be apologizing to.I may not blame you for this but Mackenzie does. You need to stop feeling threatened by him. Just because Ryan was not a part of your original team doesn't make him any different." Dana walked to the door. "Kim if it wasn't for Mack we wouldn't have gotten Ryan back at all"
"She's right" William spoke from the corner of the room as it was just them. He walked over laying one hand on his son's cheek and the other hand on Mack's. "I assure you Miss Hart my son is not a threat. This girl before you brought him back to me and from that day on she has become a part of my family and always will be"
Kim felt like a kid that was being punished. "I just wish she would tell me"
William kissed Mack's head as he sat in the chair next to the bed. "She will but you need to listen and not judge. I am aware of what Tommy went through when he was evil and how you were there to help him. Mack was there for Ryan. She once told me an old mentor told her she would have the chance to help someone as if it was part of her destiny."
"I'm glad she could be there for you guys" Kim whispered as Tommy came to stand next to where she was sitting.
"Come on lets go for a walk. Let her sleep" Tommy led her out of the room and outside. "No you see how close those two are. If it was Mack in that bed Ryan would be the one by her side".
"Tommy do you ever feel weird that she treats him like a brother when you are here actual brother?" Kim asked him as they sat down.
"No not once." He replied as Dana and Carter sat down.
"Kim" Dana spoke. "There some stuff i will say. Ryan got close to Mackenzie not only because of how she helped him, helped us but because he never got to see me at that age. She was the younger sister he never had when he came back after all those years." Dana looked down. "My mom was carrying a girl but miscarried at five months before my mom died. Mackenzie filled the void in my family when we met her"
"And they still put up with me" Mack spoke as she sat in he chair between Tommy and Dana. "I'm ready to talk if your willng to listen Kim"
Kim nodded as Mack got the okay from Dana and Tommy.
"I met Ryan four years ago. I was in Mariner Bay on a soccer trip. I had heard there was an evil ranger there but didn't know who it was at the time."
Mariner Bay 2000...
"Mackenzie be careful!" Tommy Oliver yelled as his thirteen year old sister hopped out of his car to go meet her team. "Don't go wandering off"
"I won't! love you bye!" She yelled with a smile as she ran off. Mackenzie ran down the street towards the soccer field. She looked around as people ran past her. "What the?" She gasped noticing a silver ranger pinning down a pink ranger.
"Stop leave her alone!" Mack yelled running to grabbed him but he was quicker and grabbed her arm pinning it behind her back. "Stop! whoever is making you do this don't listen".
"Foolish kid" He growled shoving her forward into the pink ranger's arms. They watched as he ran.
"Are you okay?" Mack asked her as she powered down. "I'm Mackenzie but everyone calls me Mack"
"Dana, you shouldn't have done that, you could have gotten hurt".
Mack shrugged. "Its okay i'm used to it. Do you know who he is?"
"My brother"
Mack gasped in surprise and took her hand. "It will be okay. I have a big brother to and trust me when i say i have seen it before. Is he under a spell or what's going on?"
Dana looked at her unsure. "Come with me". Dana brought her to the Aquabase. She introduced her to the other rangers and her Father.
"Young lady this is not a place for you." The older man stated.
"Yeah yeah i have heard that before. Look i have been through this before let me help" Mack pleaded.
"Like i said the Titanium ranger is my brother, he was taken as a child and raised by demons. He doesn't remember his past or what really happened" Dana explained.
"Then make him remember. Force it in him. Hit him in the head if you have to. The hard part is what he will go through after. You said Ryan is his name. Listen when Ryan remembers the guilt of what he is doing it will swallow him. He will want to run but he will realize his true destiny and return but you have to be there when he does" She told the group.
"Mackenzie if your still here would you be willing to talk to him" Captain Mitchell asked of her. "Please?"
"Yeah off course. My mentor told me i would have the chance to be there for someone when i was too young to be there for my brother. Listen my team and I are staying here for a week so if you want here's my number" She wrote it down and gave it to Dana.
"Thank you" Dana told the girl.
Three Days Later...
Mackenize Oliver packed up her gear as she got ready to leave the soccer field. She noticed a man sitting on a swing. She grinned to herself when she noticed the lightspeed jacket. "Ryan" She whispered. She walked over casually and sat next to him. "Your him"
"What?" He questioned looking at her.
"Your the Titanium Ranger." She stated finally getting to see the face that was behind the helmet. "I'm Mackenzie"
Ryan looked at the young girl realizing she was the girl that Dana spoke about. "How did you cope with this? Dama told me you have a brother that went through this" He looked down as she took his hand.
"Ryan i can relate to Dana so much but you have to be the one to accept that your free. Don't shut your team out. Don't let your past define your present or future, this is your second chance so embrace it" She touched the morpher. "Maybe by stealing this is the start of your redemption, like you were meant to take it".
Ryan watched as she stood up and grabbed her bag."Mackenzie". She turned to face him. "Do you think we were meant to meet?"
"I like to think so, Its like i told Dana and your Dad. An old friend once told me i would be able to help someone maybe that someone was you"
"Thank you. You know if you ever come back to Mariner Bay let us know, stay in touch".
"I will" She told him as she ran to her bus. Little did Ryan know at the time that she would become a part of their family.
Present Day...
"From that day on i stayed in touch, i visited everytime i was in Mariner Bay and now i am part of their family" Mack finished.
"You really did bring him home". Kim stammered wiping tears.
"Yeah, Zordon told me once told me that you guys were meant to help Tommy and that someday i would be able to help someone to.I felt like Zordon knew Ryan would come into my life for a reason and that was to help him"
Kim reached across to touch her hand. "Mack thank you for telling me. I'm glad you two came into each others lives"
Mack nodded and got up to walk back inside. She got back onto the bed next to Ryan. Tommy covered up his sister and kissed her head. "Get some rest"
Everyone in the room went quiet as they took their own spots to get some rest as they waited for Ryan to wake up.
Later that night as darkness fell over the sky Mack laid awake with her head on Ryan's shoulder. The moon was the only light shining in through the window. She looked around the room noticing everyone was asleep whether that was in chairs or on the other bed. She lifted her head when she heard a soft moan.
"Ryan?" A wave of relief washed over her as his hand slowly lifted from his stomach. She reached out grasping it with her own as his eyes slowly opened halfway. "Shhh don't talk." She reached up cupped his cheek and a tear ran down his cheek. "Its okay. I'm right here and i am not going anywhere"
Tommy watched the interaction out of the corner of his eye. He pushed the thought out of his head if Mack had to deal with Ryan not surviving.
Mack settled back down. She could sense Tommy watching so she sent him a nod. Tommy squinted as a light in the shape of a figure appeared in the corner but after a second it vanished. He could feel the comfort surround him.
