Matthew's POV

I was growing anxious, over the ceremony, my head was, filled with thoughts, what if the Population didn't like me...? What if i do something Wrong...? What if...

i just don't want to mess it up, but if I do, I'll be sure to Get a terrible, reputation here.

"Human..." a Gruff male voice spoke.

i spun around, and came face to face with, another male lion, he had Reddish-brown fur, with a Black mane, and he had a scar, over his left eye.

"i think your, Matthew" he spoke. "Im Scar, didn't know, my 'brother' is allowing Humans, to join The pride..." he's Mufasa's Brother?! They look so different, But he said, the word 'Brother' which such hate, I immediately knew that they were, on bad terms.

Not only that, but he said the word, 'Humans' with such Disgust, that it was obvious, he had something, Against humans... i don't know, maybe discrimination, against humans is a thing here, in the pridelands.

hopefully not.

"uhh, Hello Scar, nice uhh to meet you" i said spooked.

"well, you're parents raised you rightly, It's good to have manners, you know, you don't wanna piss off, a lion" he said the last part, viciously.

"well, i hope the ceremony will go well." I told him.

he smiled creepily. "Oh, you don't wanna mess, that up... but one more thing, if i were in your position, You better stay away from me... HumanCub..." he walked away, into a big cave.

"fucking, psycho" i said quietly. Disturbance filled my face, and I felt odly cold.

"Hey Matthew" i turned around, to see Sarabi, standing behind, smiling, and locking eye contact.

"I'm sorry, about Scar, He's been like this since, his Teenage years" she told me, as her smile faded, I was so confused, my thoughts were, filled with what to ask her, about Scar.

i risked it, and spoke up. "I'm sorry, but what happened to Scar?"

Sarabi didn't look she wanted to talk about it.

"Im sorry, i don't want to right now... you can ask Mufasa or Sarafina, about it..." She smiled.

I was so confused. I wasn't even aware that, Scar had such a bad reputation here...

"You better go to sleep now, because you have to get up, early tomorrow.." Sarabi said.

"Okay im off"

"Goodnight, Matthew" Sarabi, said.

"Goodnight" I answered, as we joined, the other lions to go to bed.

I noticed, Scar had a different cave, for himself...

huh not really unexpected.

suddenly I noticed, The lioness, named Zira, that was against, me also walking into the cave, she looked at me, with a scary, Grin, as she went to Bed...

she's going to be my death. If Scar doesn't kill me...

"note: Stay away from Scar and Zira" I thought to myself.

-7 AM-

i was sitting in my room, watching a movie, in my computer, when someone knocked on my door.

"Come in" i responded.

My parents walked in, but they looked very sad.

"Matthew, we'll never be able to see you again..." Dad cried.

"You have to take care of yourself..." mom spoke.

"W-what?" I stuttered.

"You have to take care of yourself, do it for us"

Mom suddenly closed the door, as the room started, to light up white. While my parents voices, were telling me to do it for them.

"Do it for yourself, and us..."

"matthew?"

Another voice said. Suddenly i felt something.

"Matthew? MATTHEW?!" It was Sarafina.

"oh thank, the great kings of the past, your awake, i thought something bad happened, to you"

"I'm sorry... i had a nightmare" i told to her.

"dont worry, Matthew, you will be alright... but now the ceremony, is about to start, so you will have to be ready." She told me.

"Hey, Matthew!" A young voice spoke.

it was Simba, and Nala.

"Dude, you've been asleep, for 11 Hours, We've never met someone, who can sleep so peacefully." He laughed.

"Hehe, did i snore?" I asked.

"nope, luckily." Nala said.

"He so, You wanna be our friend?" Simba and Nala, both asked.

"Of course, I'll be your friend" i smiled.

Just as we were about to have a conversation, i was called up.

"Matthew it's time" It was Mufasa.

"Hey, im ready" i told him.

as i walked up, i saw, a Mandrill, walking up to us.

"ah, you're Mattheu?!, im Rafiki!" He laughed.

"it's Matthew, but nice to meet you sir" I greeted.

"pleasure's all mine, Son, lets get you ready." He pulled out some type of paint, it was Blueish.

"alright, hold still, please, this is painting, we put on our New members at their ceremony." Rafiki told me.

He painted lines, over my cheeks, and on my forehead, and along my chin's jawline. And he painted, a line, that went down, from my forehead, and stopped right above, my eye, to avoid, having it look like a Scar, he then, painted, another line under my eye, that went down to my cheek, he then, did the same thing with my other eye.

I Looked Badass!

"Alright kid, I'm finish" he said. "Da great kings off past wil bles u" he misspelled.

Mufasa and Sarabi, then took me, to the front of the platform, and as i looked Down, there were, thousands, of Animals, if different species.

there were, elephants, Ostriches, Cheetahs, hippopotamus, and many other species.

i nervously stared down, what if they didn't accept me...? What if they wanted me gone...?

however, as i was thinking, i was interrupted, by cheering. I looked down to see all the animals, celebrating, and bowing to me.

I looked back at the other lions, Scar and Zira were not, present. As i excepted. But they other smiled and roared in approval.

i smiled back, and bowed back to the crowd, in respect.

thats when I knew it...

I was apart of the pride...
