Chapter 5 Heading to The Flushed Pets hideout
While Snowball and the flushed pets were making plans Max and the other animals were making their way into the sewers. They were all looking for an open manhole cover when Duke saw one and said, "Guys come over here" as he pointed to an open manhole cover. "All right, let's go into the sewers and rescue Snowball."
Before everyone could even lift up the cover Ozone the hairless alley cat along with his gang of cats blocked them and Ozone said, "well well well. If it isn't the group of pets. Where do you think you're going?" Max growled, "that's none of your business NOW GET OUT OF OUR WAY!" Ozone laughed, "You think I'm afraid of you?" "No but I know you're afraid of ME!" Gidget exclaimed as she pounced on Ozone and started beating him up. The other cats were terrified of Gidget because they recall the first time they saw Gidget beating them up and the flushed pets.
Ozone managed to escape with bumps and bruises as he ran away with the other cats. "You're both beautiful and feisty Gidget" Max told his girlfriend they nuzzled each other quickly before going into the sewers to look for the secret way in that Pops the old dog once showed them. As Max and others made their way Snowball and the rest of the Flushed Pets finished making plans. "Ok we're going to break into the local animal shelter because I saw some animals that I think would make great new recruits for The Flushed Pets" Ricky pointed out as he and other flushed pets made their way out. Snowball stood behind for a moment to reflect on the plan and wondered if it's a good idea. "Hey Snowball you coming?" Ricky asked as he saw that Snowball was falling behind. "I'm coming!" exclaimed Snowball as he hopped along and caught up with the others. After The Flushed Pets left Max and the others found the secret entrance without having to go through the snake door.
Everyone began looking for Snowball but he wasn't anywhere to be found because unknown to them Snowball had left. Tiberius flew around to see if he could find Snowball in the air. All of sudden Tiberius found a map and there was a circle drawn on it. "I think I may have found out where Snowball might have gone come over here" Tiberius said as the other animals came to where Tiberius was. They all went to where Tiberius told them to go and they all looked at the map. When Duke saw the map and saw the circle he gasped. "What's wrong Duke? Do you recognize that area?" Max asked as he noticed Duke's reaction. "Know this place? That's the pound where Katie rescued me from before…." Duke answered and before he could finish what he was going to say Max put his paw on his paw and told him it was ok and comforted him.
Without further delay all of the animals started to head to the shelter with Duke leading the way since he knew where the shelter was and figured The Flushed Pets would be there. Unknowing to them Ozone and the other cats saw what happened and decided to make it to the shelter before the others to warn Snowball and Ricky about the nonmembers of The Flushed Pets interfering with their plan.
