Olivia crashed to the ground and unfolded. Olly landed next to her and unfolded as well.

"Livi? Are you okay? That looked painful."

She stood, panting. "Just...out of...energy...That...was such a long...flight..."

Renoth went over to her as well. "That fall looked painful."

"I'm...fine...Just give me a minute..."

"Well," Olly faced the temple. "We made it, finally." He flew to the door and tried to pry it open. "Hm. Let's try Fold of Life then."

He held out his arm. The doors rattled, but didn't move.

"Alright, that was a failure. Any ideas?" He faced back to them.

Olivia lifted from the ground and came over. She pointed at the ground. "Those buttons open the door. But you and I are too light to open it, and we only have one Renoth. If the Mario Brothers were only awake..."

"Why don't you both step on one of the pressure plates?" Renoth stepped onto the one on the right side. "You two should be heavy enough."

The twins looked at each other. "Do you think he could be right?" Olivia moved closer to the pressure plate.

"Perhaps...Should we try?"

"What if it doesn't work?"

"We'll find some other way in."

Olivia held her brother's hand and they both stood on the plate. The door rattled again, but still didn't open.

"Aww, we're still too light!"

"I'll take that as a good thing..." Olly muttered.

"What was that?"

"Uh-Nothing."

"You said something? I was asking about the footfalls."

Olivia was right, the footfalls were rushing right to them. Olly turned and saw the patch of tall grass rustling.

"Hm? What's that?"

"Ma'am!"

"Is that Bobby?" Olivia gasped.

"That's that Bob-om, right?"

"Bob-om?" Renoth asked. "And it's coming here?!"

"Oh, Bobby's nice! You don't need to worry."

Bobby crashed through the grass and tripped on his way to the temple.

"Aah! Bobby!" Olivia flew over to him. "Are you okay?"

He hopped off the ground. "Ma'am! I came back because this place is special to me, but then I saw you and a Toad. I knew where you were and how you couldn't open the door. I decided to help you!"

"This is the man you kissed?" Olly judged.

"Ol!" She blushed. "Don't be rude!"

Bobby stood in front of her. "Don't try anything, jerk!"

"Please. I'm with her. That's enough to convince you to not attack me, right? Weren't you there for the fight?"

"I fell into a void."

"Oohh...I did do that, didn't I? Sorry. I also apologize for crashing a giant plane into King Bowser's airship, if you wouldn't mind passing that message along. Thank you!" He faced back to the door. "I know I can get this open, it opened for me before." He stuck his hands in the small crack between the doors and attempted to push them apart. "Hmf. That didn't work either. I wonder if..."

"Olly, that's not going to work! You need to use the bu-"

He forcefully used his thousand-fold arms between the doors. The doors slammed open and one fell off a hinge.

"Uhh...Oops. Heh. She won't notice, I hope."

"Olly!"

"I'll fix it!"

They entered. Olivia began shivering.

"I-is it j-just m-me, or is i-it fr-fr-freezing in h-here?!"

The cold slapped Olly in the face like an oncoming train. "I-it's n-not just y-you. B-but wh-why is it-t s-so c-c-cold in h-here? Th-the Wat-ter V-Vellument-tal w-will fr-freeze!"

Renoth moved closer to the two. "Is it n-not supposed t-to be th-this c-cold?"

"N-no!"

"It's not cold," Bobby said. "But it might just be because I can blow up on will. Maybe that makes me warm."

Everyone gave him a strange look.

"Sorry, sorry. That was too much information. I got it. I'll be careful about what I say around you from now on."

"W-wait...Lem-mon m-might b-be in danger!" Olly flew ahead to the doors. "C-come on! Open! Grrr!" He sadly flew back to them. "It w-won't b-budge. It's f-frozen s-solid."

"It's s-so c-cold!" Olivia cried. "C-can't we d-do something about th-this?!"

"I-I w-would use Seraph-phina's p-power, b-b-but I'm still t-too drained f-for th-that."

"I th-think I c-can," Olivia hugged her brother. "L-let me tr-try, pl-please."

Olly sighed. "F-fine." He summoned her Magic Circle. "H-here..."

Olivia went over to it and closed her eyes. Bobby watched in awe as she folded into the Fire Vellumental. Everybody around her had warmth engulf them.

"Oh! I made it warm!" She smiled. "Bobby? Are you okay?"

"Woah..."

"I'll take that as a yes." She walked over to the door and rubbed her head feathers on it. "Make it warm!"

Olly opened the door after it defrosted. "Lemon!"

She was sitting in the center of the room, wings drooped, frost covering her. She looked miserable.

"Livi! We need to save her!"

Olivia walked over to her and circled her a few times, gently rubbing her feathers on the dragon. She sat down afterwards.

"It didn't work."

Olly pulled off one of her feathers.

"Ow! That hurt..."

"Sorry, Livi." He handed it to Lemon. "Lemon, come on. What happened here?"

"Something terrible...happened to Kori..."

"Kori? The Ice Vellumental? What happened?"

"I don't know...He just came in here and froze everything...Including me...I'm sorry, but he also took your book...Please find some other way to free me, for your sister alone is not strong enough..."

Olly frowned. "It might cost me some of my life force, but I'll help defrost you." He resummoned the Magic Circle.

"Olly, no. That's an extremely dangerous risk!"

"I know. But I can't leave her like this."

He flicked his bangs, then unfolded. Olly's Fire Vellumental towered Olivia's, the feathers longer and shone more brilliantly.

"Come on, Livi. Let's help her."

They sat on either side of her and pressed their head feathers against her face. They moved away a bit when she began to stir.

"Thank you kindly, dear Origami Folk."

"It's not a problem..." Blood began streaming from Olly's beak as he spoke.

"Olly! You need to fold back!"

"Livi, I'm f-" He broke into a coughing fit, blood splatting to the floor. He collapsed, blood still streaming form his mouth.

"Olly!"

"That's not good." She nuzzled his forehead and slapped a small kiss onto it with her tongue.

Olly glew purple for a second. When the light diminished, Olly was back to himself.

"He can't control them like you can, Olivia."

"What do you mean? His are a lot stronger than mine."

"Because he's older than you, and has more magical energy than you. But you were given their powers, and he stole them. And for that, it strips away his life. Deities, no matter how nice, will not hesitate to slaughter those who abuse our abilities."

"But Olly borrowed it earlier, when he was the Water Vellumental."

"Why do you think he ran out of magic so quickly after only using his special skill only once?" She finally noticed Bobby and Renoth, who were completely in shock. "Hello, friends of Olivia." She bowed. "You are always welcome in my domain."

Olivia refolded into herself. "Ooh, Olly. I told you not to. Now look at yourself."

Olly pushed off the ground. "I-I'm...fine...Livi..." He collapsed again.

"Olly!"

"Fear not, he's alive." She gently lifted him in her jaws and rested him in Olivia's hands. "First Kori, now your brother. Something isn't right. Who would control Kori like that?"

"Are you...sure he...didn't g-go berserk...?" Olly tried.

"Berserk?" Bobby asked.

"Yeah...Any magic...can become...corrupt...even...Deities...Somebody...could've...corrupted his...magic..." He coughed again.

"Olly! You should really rest!"

"Or possession," Renoth said. "Somebody could want his power, but can't use it like the twins."

"Or mind control," Bobby suggested. "It's kind of a long shot, but you never know."

"Either way, I'm coming with you."

"What?!" Olivia exclaimed, almost dropping Olly on the ground. "What about watching your domain?"

"My brother is more important, Olivia. They can take care of themselves just fine when I recover after a few hundred years, so they can survive another length of time without me."

Olivia looked down at Olly. "My brother's more important too...That's why we're leaving him with Mario and Luigi."

"Wh-what...? Livi...who's going to...protect you?"

"Olly. We'll literally have the Water Vellumental with us. I think we'll be fine." She faced Renoth. "I'm sorry to do this, but can you take Olly back to Shangri Spa? I know you just left and all that, but he needs to heal and I know the springs there can do just that."

"I understand." He bowed. "I will make sure your brother makes it safely."

"Bobby, do you want to go with Renoth or come with Lemon and I?"

"Ma'am, I promised I would protect you; so protect you I will!"

She smiled at her brother. "Don't worry, Olly. I'll be careful."

"Livi...no...please...I don't want to lose you again..."

"You never lost me? I never left."

"Mani..."

"Not you too!"

"I apologize, Olivia. I may have messed up his memory with that healing kiss. I haven't used it since Mani was being reckless and fell off a cliff."

"Don't leave me again...I'm sorry..."

Tears filled her eyes. "I can't leave him like this. I really do want to heal him but...We were kicked out of Shangri Spa."

Lemon smiled. "I can handle that. Hop onto my back, all of you." She crouched down and extended her wing. "Just be careful with my wings."

Once everybody was on, Olly began breathing heavily. "Mani...Don't you remember me...? Sandi...? Your brother...? I want to protect you..."

"We should hurry, he's burning up. I think you gave him a fever."

"Hold on. Shangri Spa, here we come."
