Chapter 9: Battle for the Soft Museum
The girls stepped out of the portal and walks onto the comfy ground.
"Woah, this place is bouncy!" Dana said.
"And there's statues!" Sylvia said.
"Yeah, I wonder what this place is," Claris wondered.
All of a sudden, the Nightmarens appeared and taken her Ideyas, sending her up into the air.
"Huh?!" Sylvia questioned.
"Oof! Well, that's just great!" Claris pouted as she got up from the soft ground.
"Don't be upset, Claris. We're getting the Ideyas back when NiGHTS returned," said Dana.
"But where are they?"
Sylvia looks around to find the jester.
Luckily, she found NiGHTS inside the palace, waving at them.
"Girls, I think we found them!" Sylvia said.
The girls turned and saw a jester, then smiled.
"C'mon, girls!" Claris said.
They bounce into the palace while NiGHTS continued waving.
"Hey, NiGHTS!" Claris greeted.
"Well, hello there. It's good to see you again!" NiGHTS said.
"Yeah, how are you doing?" Sylvia asked.
"I was at Frozen Bells, helping out your friends and defeated Clawz."
"That sounds amazing!" Dana said.
"Yeah, welcome to the Soft Museum!"
"The Soft Museum?" The girls questioned.
"Yeah, this place is derived from Claris' desire to be successful, it also represented her inner conflict of talent. The path of success may seem right in front of you." NiGHTS explained to the girls.
"My desire? My inner conflict?" Claris asked, NiGHTS nodded in yes. "Wow!"
Sylvia noticed that the statues are made out of themselves.
"Hey NiGHTS, what are these statues for?" Sylvia questioned.
"Those are my statues, the Nightopians had made statues out of me!" NiGHTS said.
"Well that's cool!"
Dana noticed the cannon was sitting in the middle of the bouncy floor.
"What's that cannon doing here?" Dana asks.
"That's the cannon that launches visitors into museum's walls."
"I've always wanted to get onto the cannon and launched myself into a museum's walls."
"Yeah, just like me and my little sister bounced on the trampoline last summer!"
"Me too!"
"You girls ready to fight Jackle?"
"Wait, you mean Jackle's right here?" Claris asks.
"Yes. My senses told me that Jackle is coming right here!"
"Really? Who did it?"
"The Wizeman had send him and Reala to stop us!"
"That's bad!"
"Terrible!"
"But what about our friends?"
"Reala had decided to head into the Stick Canyon and fight-off Elliot and his friends."
"That's ridiculous!"
"We gotta stop them!"
"Right! Ready to dualize with me?"
Claris sighed. "I'm ready…"
Claris placed her hand onto NiGHTS' hand and they dualize together.
"Ready for a battle, Dana?" Sylvia asks her friend.
"Ready, Sylvia!" Dana replies.
"Let's bounce!"
The girls started bouncing as NiGHTS flew out of the palace.
"This place is bouncy!" Sylvia said.
"Yeah! So soft!" Dana said.
"No time to play around, fight!" NiGHTS called out.
"Okay!" The girls said, they saw the Nightmarens heading towards them.
Dana slammed the Gaos and the Parties with her baseball… I mean Piñata bat.
NiGHTS paraloops around the Party and making it disappear.
Sylvia turned and saw the Verols right behind her. "Oh no, you don't!"
Sylvia slammed down the creature while NiGHTS and Claris gathered the blue chips.
"Got all 20, now to open the capsule!" Claris said.
NiGHTS flew over to the first capsule and it blows up.
"Finally! The white Ideya!" Claris said.
"We need three more Ideyas, so we can fight Jackle!" NiGHTS said.
"Where's the second Ideya?" Sylvia asks.
"It's in that building!" NiGHTS said, pointing at the building.
"What are we waiting for? Let's go!" Dana said.
The girls followed NiGHTS into a building, where they find a bouncy floor and blue chips that are being held by a green circle.
"Look! There's the blue chips and it's being held in the green circle!" Sylvia said.
"How are we gonna get them?" Dana asks.
"No worries, I got this!" NiGHTS said as their body inflates into a ball, the girls were amazed.
"Wow! You looked-like a balloon!"
"Yeah! I'll use my drill-dash to break those green circles!"
"Okay, we'll fight-off the Nightmarens!"
NiGHTS nodded as they started drill-dash into the green circle, breaks it and collects two blue chips. Sylvia and Dana swing the Nightmarens as the bounced up into the air with their bats.
After that, they break the second capsule and retrieved the yellow Ideya.
"We got the Yellow Ideya! Let's go!" Claris called.
NiGHTS & the girls continued bouncing and looks at a cannon.
"There's a cannon!" Dana said.
"May I?" NiGHTS plead, the girls nodded.
NiGHTS flew inside the cannon and blasted into a museum's wall as they bounced off and collected blue chips.
"Look at NiGHTS go!" Dana said.
"Yeah, bouncing off the walls!" Sylvia said.
"Now let's get rid of those Nightmarens!"
Sylvia knocked out the Gaos and the Verols while Dana slams the Parties down as they bounced.
NiGHTS had collected enough blue chips when they finished bouncing onto the walls.
"That was fun, now let's break the third Ideya capsule!" Claris said.
NiGHTS and Claris destroyed the capsule with 20 blue chips and gets the green Ideya back.
"We got the Green Ideya!" Dana said.
"Yeah, but there's one more Ideya to go! It's hidden in that building!" NiGHTS said, pointing at the second building.
"There's a second building?"
"I thought we went to that building!" Sylvia said, pointing at the other building.
"Oh, no. You see, that building has a bouncy floor and ceiling. This building, has the hall of mirrors." NiGHTS explained.
"Wow!" The girls said as they looked at each other.
"Follow me!"
They followed NiGHTS into the building where they saw mirrors on the wall and the final capsule was holding the Blue Ideya.
"There's the blue Ideya!" Sylvia said.
"All we need is 20 blue chips to open that capsule!" Dana said.
"But there's no blue chips around here!"
Luckily, NiGHTS noticed that when they saw blue chips from the mirror. "But there are! Look!"
The girls turned and saw blue chips in the mirror.
"How did it get through the mirror?" Dana asks.
"Actually, they're invisible." NiGHTS said.
"Invisible?" They asks.
"Yes, allow me to paraloop them."
NiGHTS began to paraloop the invisible blue chips in a circle as they collect them.
"So the blue chips are invisible!" Sylvia said.
"You can say that again!" Dana replies.
After Claris and NiGHTS gathered the invisible chips and destroyed the final capsule.
"We got all four Ideyas!" Claris said.
"Now we can face off against Jackle!" Sylvia said.
A rapid glow surrounds the heroes and they zoomed upwards into the darkness above.
"Here we go!" They said.
They find themselves in the room where it's decorated with oversized toys and instruments in bright primary colors.
"Where are we, NiGHTS?" Dana asks.
"And where's Jackle?" Sylvia asks.
"Aren't we supposed to fight him?"
Suddenly, they had laughter coming from right behind them. They turned and saw an orange jester wearing an orange cape.
"Hello, NiGHTS." said Jackle.
"Well Jackle, we've meet again, huh?" NiGHTS questioned.
"That's Jackle?" Sylvia asks.
"Yes," Jackle said as he flew above them, "wanna play torture with me? We can have fun with little dolls and toys!"
"Torture?!" The girls yelled.
"What?! That's kid's stuff!" Claris yelled.
"And why not?"
"Because when someone's not into kid stuff, doesn't mean I shouldn't be afraid of growing up!
"That's right! It's called learning to be mature!"
Jackle looks concerned. "Oh yeah? Then how about a game of… solitaire!"
The orange jester then started to throw cards at them.
"Look out!" Sylvia shouted.
The girls and NiGHTS dodged the throwing cards as the Jackle laughs.
"Are we're having fun?" Jackle said.
"No we're not!" Dana said.
Jackle then throws the card and it hit Sylvia right into her body, making her spinning.
"WOAH!" Sylvia screamed as she felt dizzy.
NiGHTS & Dana flew over and helps her.
"Careful, Sylvia! You don't want to get hurt," said Dana.
"Yeah, but what can we do now?" Sylvia said as she adjust her glasses.
"I have a plan to defeat Jackle!" NiGHTS said.
"You do?"
"Yeah, here's the plan."
The girls gathered in the circle as NiGHTS began to explain their plan.
"Alright. You girls snuck-up behind him and steal his cape while me and Claris distract him," NiGHTS explained.
"Sounds like a good plan!" Sylvia said.
"That's a good way to defeat him!" Dana said.
"You girls ready?" Claris asked.
"Ready!" They said, giving a thumbs up.
"Okay, let's do this!"
NiGHTS then flew in front of Jackle and he smiled with an evil grin.
"Are you up for another game of cards?" Jackle asks.
"I think we are!"
"Okay, then go fish!"
Jackle then started throwing cards at NiGHTS, but they avoid them with their air-dodge.
"Ha! Miss me!" NiGHTS said with a smirk.
"What? Grr, second try!" Jackle said, then throws another card but NiGHTS uses air-dodge again.
"You missed again!"
"You gotta be kidding me!"
Jackle then started to throw more cards at the purple jester as they dodged the throwing cards. Sylvia and Dana flew behind Jackle as they snuck up to him and grabs the orange cape.
"Okay Dana, on the count of three, we're gonna take off his cape. Ready?" Sylvia told her.
"I'm always ready to do it!" Dana replies to her.
"Here goes!"
"One… two…" they both started to count.
"I'm gonna destroy you, if it's the last thing I do!" Jackle said, angrily.
"Three!" The girls said and they removed his orange cape, making him vulnerable and losing his powers.
"Hey! My powers, they're gone!" Jackle screamed then he gets attacked by NiGHTS with their touch-dash. "Hey! What was that for?!"
"It's a new game that we called… Touch-A-Jackle!" Claris said.
"What?!" Jackle screeched.
NiGHTS damaged Jackle again with their touch-dash and making him damaged.
"Stop it!" Jackle pleaded, but NiGHTS drill-dashed him.
"You're having fun?" NiGHTS questioned.
"Fun?! But that really hurts!" Jackle cried.
"Yeah! Trash him!" The girls cheered.
NiGHTS got themselves ready for a final touch-dash, they flew back and started to drill-dash at him.
"No, wait! Let's talk about this!" Jackle complained, but NiGHTS touched Jackle by its nose and sending him flying.
"NOOOO! THIS ISN'T OVER YET!" Jackle screamed as he started vanishing into thin air.
"We won the game!" Sylvia cheered.
"Yes we did!" Dana said.
"And that's why I called: Jackle in the box!" Claris laughed.
A rapid glow surrounds the heroes and they disappeared.
They were back at the Soft Museum and looks at the Nightopians playing around.
"The Nightopians are having fun at the museum."
Claris and NiGHTS had undualized themselves and she sighed again.
"Well, we defeated Jackle and NiGHTS is gone," said Claris.
"Yeah, he or she went somewhere to help our friends, even the blue-haired boy called Elliot." Sylvia said.
"We defeated Gillwing, Gulpo and now Jackle." Dana said.
King Pian appeared with the Nightopians, playing with their trumpets in victory.
"Well done, girls. You had save the third Nightopia: Soft Museum!" Pian said.
"Yes we did, and it's good to see you again!" Dana said, happily.
"We defeated Jackle and got Claris' Ideyas back!" Sylvia said.
"So Pian, what can we do now?" Claris asks.
King Pian snapped his fingers and the portal opens. "This portal can lead you into a world called, the Dream Gate!"
"The Dream Gate?" The girls asks in opinion.
"Yeah, because someone is waiting there for you three."
"Someone? You mean our friends are gonna be here?"
"And Elliot?"
"Precisely, Claris. See you at the Dream Gate! I gonna bounce off to fun!"
King Pian bounces away with the Nightopians to play as the girls waved goodbye.
"Come on, let's go to the dream gate!" Claris said to her friends.
The girls hold hands as they walked through the portal to the Dream Gate.
Meanwhile, Reala looks at the crystal ball to see Claris and her friends entering a portal.
"Rats! They've defeated Jackle! I guess it's up to me, now. NiGHTS, Elliot, and friends… you are about to get fried!" Reala said, then laughs maniacally.
