"You know, I actually studied to practice environmental law." Jack said as the two of them walked slowly towards the bungalow late that night. He intended to take Elsa to her bungalow first before going to his own place.

After the revelation of his bitter past, they continued their small talk until late. Jack didn't expect it, even though he liked arguing with Elsa and making Elsa frustrated, chatting casually and looking at Elsa's face and her sometimes silly expressions throughout the night proved to be more fun and made his heart find peace.

And now, he felt addicted to always being close to her. And he was determined to help Elsa to help herself, instead of dedicating herself to someone else because she needed to think about herself too. Sometimes we needed to be selfish for certain things.

"So, why divorce law?" Elsa asked. A new understanding towards Jack after she heard the reason why he didn't like weddings, made her no longer cynical about him. She could understand, and maybe she would do the same thing if she were in Jack's position. And because of that, she was now starting to think about her relationship with Hans.

"I just kind of fell into it. I took a couple cases at the beginning, and turned out I was really good at it. You know, we both work in fields that involve pain. My specialty is making it quick and painless, but I'd like to switch fields some day." Said Jack, out of the corner of his eye he could see the flickering light from Elsa's bungalow. And somehow he didn't want to get there right away.

"So why don't you put out some feelers to law firms you actually want to work with?" Elsa's instinct to help came out automatically, even if it was just to give advice on what might be done. "You know, you could..."

Jack chuckled and looked at Elsa gently. "Els, stop. I am the one person that doesn't need your help. I'm fine."

Elsa just pressed her lips into a thin line and tried to escape Jack's gaze which recently made her feel strange. She turned her head and saw that her bungalow's front door was already in front of her eyes.

"Well, this is me." Elsa tried to escape from Jack's intense gaze once again by walking towards the door.

"I'll see you tomorrow, and thanks for dinner. It was..." Jack said, letting out a long sigh. He remained where he was and put his hands in his jacket pockets.

"Interisting?"

"Exactly. Good night."

"Good night." Elsa openned the front door and was about to get in when Jack opened his mouth again.

"And good luck with bridesmaids' yoga. Be strong."

Elsa didn't say anything, she just smiled, nodded and showed off her meager biceps, making Jack chuckle. Elsa then went into her bungalow while Jack stayed for a few seconds before finally turning around and walking away.

"And we greet the morning... as we complete our sun salutations, moving into Warrior I, welcoming peace." The yoga instructor started the session and began demonstrating yoga movements while continuing to say words that Elsa thought sounded too poetic.

When she woke up this morning she was determined to enjoy the day the way she was meant to enjoy it. And taking this yoga class was a start, she didn't want anything to make her enjoy it less.

"Els! Elsa!"

Suddenly there was a loud whisper and Elsa had to look around to find the source of the voice. And apparently it came from her right side because when she turned her head, she found Anna who was trying to get her attention.

"Are you sure I did the seating plan okay?" Asked Anna, while maintaining her balance in yoga movements, still whispering.

"Yes!" Elsa answered confidently, also in a loud whisper.

"There's not too many strangers sitting together at each table?"

"No. No, you're good. I checked." Elsa said, making Anna nod and continue her yoga.

"And reaching for the earth... embracing a calming inner light." The yoga instructor said again, while giving an example of the next yoga movement.

Elsa closed her eyes, trying to do the yoga movements correctly until she felt them in her muscles. But it seemed Ariel on her left had other plans.

"So this missing boyfriend of yours, what's his deal anyway?" Ariel said her words a little loudly so that she caught the instructor's attention.

"Focus, please? And back to center, placing the elbow on the knee and twist." The instructor reminded her, even though she was smiling, she didn't seem happy if the session wasn't taken seriously and the participants chatted to themselves.

And for Elsa, she was grateful because she didn't have to answer Ariel's same questions. She was sick of answering that.

"And how long have you been going out for?" Ariel asked again, still at the same volume.

"Almost two years." Elsa answered reluctantly, it turned out that the yoga session she had been dreaming of was not what she had hoped for.

"And he still didn't come with you?" Ariel asked again, louder this time. And that made Iduna who was standing next to Ariel look at her eldest daughter while struggling to maintain her balance by stretching her arms to the front and back.

"I'll tell you why he isn't here. He's afraid he's going to have to put a ring on that finger!" Said Iduna, this time she didn't try to hold back what was on her mind. If previously she didn't really show her dislike for Hans, this time she had no shield.

Elsa groaned and tried to stay calm. "Mom! It is not that at all!" And she failed so miserably that the instructor raised her voice.

"Ladies! Shh!" The instructor reminded again, but it seemed like that didn't apply to Iduna.

"You have to turn the screws, Honey! That's how I got Agnarr to propose." Iduna said again, ignoring Elsa who was increasingly uncomfortable with this conversation.

Elsa didn't intend to respond, she just closed her eyes tighter wishing she were anywhere but here.

"Hey, Elsa!"

Suddenly Elsa heard a voice that she didn't think she could hear here but was able to give her hope that she would be able to escape from here as soon as possible. So she opened her eyes wide and directed her gaze in the direction of the voice.

"Jack? What are you doing here?"

"Come with me if you want to live." Jack crept closer to Elsa and motioned for Elsa to come closer.

Even though she was confused, Elsa didn't intend to last any longer amid the onslaught of questions about her love life, so she immediately rolled up her yoga mat, took her shoes and walked on tiptoe towards Jack.

Once within reach, Jack took Elsa's hand gently and smiled nervously when the instructor caught him kidnapping one of her participants. But he couldn't care less.

"Namaste." He said with his best smile and immediately took Elsa away from there. And without them realizing, Anna was watching the two of them with a crooked smile on her face.

"That does not seem relaxing." Jack said as they started walking away from the yoga area after Elsa finished putting on her shoes.

"Most tense yoga session ever, actually." Elsa said, walking down the path which turned out to lead to the golf course with Jack following close behind.

"The Dalai Lama would not have approved. Why do girls talk like that when they're working out? Guys just work out when they're working out." Said Jack who was immediately met with a sharp gaze from Elsa when Elsa turned her head back because of what he just said. "Anyway, forget about all that and hurry, or we're going to be late for our tee time."

Hearing that, Elsa stopped in her tracks and looked at Jack confused. "What? I'm not playing golf."

"Sure you are... " Jack just smiled and gestured his head towards the golf course, where Agnarr Arendell and Dr. Hastings is warming up with their golf clubs. "With them."

Elsa gasped out loud, her brain couldn't process Jack's words just yet. She needed further explanation.

"What?" And that was all that could come out of Elsa's mouth while her eyes were still glued to Dr. Hastings.

"Yeah, I ran into them this morning at the Pro Shop, and since they were looking for a foursome, and you wanted to meet Dr. Hastings..." Jack explained slowly how he could invite Dr. Hastings and Agnarr to play golf together. But Elsa still looked like she couldn't believe what she saw, even though a spark of enthusiasm began to fill her heart because she was about to meet and talk to Dr. hastings.

"What... are you doing?!" Elsa asked again, this time more emotional. She didn't understand why Jack had to go to all the trouble of doing this for her.

"I'm helping you help yourself." Jack replied with a smile, while Elsa immediately looked at herself and realized that she was far from ready to play golf.

"I've got to go change!" Elsa immediately turned around and ran towards her bungalow to change clothes, leaving Jack smiling with satisfaction because his efforts were well received.

"Okay. I'll get the cart." Said Jack, still with a smile on his face. He then immediately prepared a cart for the four of them.

And no more than fifteen minutes later, Elsa appeared a little out of breath, ready to play golf. Jack welcomed and introduced Elsa to dr. Hastings who was talking to Agnarr.

"Dr. Hastings? This is dr. Arendelle." Said Jack as an introduction, while Agnarr put his arm around his eldest daughter's shoulder and smiled proudly.

"This is my daughter that I once talked to you about, my darling Elsa Arendelle. She once said that she was up for the fellowship but I didn't want to interfere and wanted her to try on her own." Agnarr explained, making Elsa look at him in disbelief that her father would do that. But she could understand because that was how he educated his daughters. Try hard with your own efforts.

"Ah, I see." Dr. Hastings stretched out his hand which Elsa immediately shook.

"And when they were kids, Elsa here used to perform surgery on Anna's broken dolls." Agnarr continued.

"And from what I hear, Elsa's golf game is as good as her bedside manner." Said Jack, while Elsa grimaced at Jack's words and chose not to respond to Jack's joke.

"Dr. Hastings, in full disclosure, I'm a finalist for the fellowship at Northwestern." Said Elsa, still feeling nervous about finally being able to meet and talk to dr. Hastings.

"Perfect. We can enjoy our golf game and talk about anything besides work!" Said dr. Hastings briefly then walked towards his cart together with Agnarr.

"Bedside manner? Really?" Elsa asked sarcastically, while Jack just chuckled.

"I should have said bedside manner first, then golf game after." Jack said pretending to think, scratching his chin.

"I don't know if bedside manner needed to be included at all!" Elsa exclaimed in a whisper, then walked quickly towards her cart followed by a giggling Jack.

"I know."

"So for my money, the best steak in Chicago, Benny's Chop House, hands down." Dr. Hastings said confidently. He and Elsa were waiting for their turn while chatting lightly. As for Jack, he stood closer to Agnarr who was preparing to hit the ball.

Jack deliberately left Elsa with the doctor so she could talk more.

"Oh, I'll be sure to check it out." Elsa said, she was sure she had heard of the steak house they were talking about only she hadn't had time to visit it yet.

Both of their attention then turned to Agnarr who was about to hit the ball but was interrupted by the chiming of his cell phone in his trouser pocket. It was a message.

"Ah! The bride has a question. I'm sure it can wait." Said Agnarr, putting his cellphone back in his trouser pocket. To be honest, he recently felt afraid to talk to his youngest daughter or his wife if it was related to the wedding.

"Devoted to golf. I respect that." Jack praised, making Agnarr smile nervously and then steadied his stance to hit the ball.

"Yeah, except I think this wedding is making me lose my mind." Agnarr then tried to hit the ball but when his cell phone chimed with a message again, his shot missed. Sighing deeply, he took out his cell phone again and read the short message. While Jack walked away and chose to stand behind Elsa.

"Oh... terrific. Wedding planner says I still owe her five grand!" Agnarr exclaimed, clearly starting to get frustrated with all this.

Agnarr walked unsteadily out of breath, it was clear that this was stressing him out and the humid and hot air on the golf course didn't help. And he had to lean on his golf club when he had to answer the phone because someone was trying to reach him. And that was his youngest daughter.

"Yes, dear?" Agnarr started the conversation. and as the seconds passed, Elsa started to worry because she noticed that her father's face was getting paler and paler. She walked closer and kept an eye just in case.

"Fine. I'm sure if they don't have posies, then mums are fine. How much extra? Uh-uh. No. Fine. Yep..." Agnarr hung up the phone and then let out a deep breath.

"You know, I thought this wedding would be a simple get-together, but now there's harpists... there's a cheese sommelier... there's more food than an army needs. There's a charging station by the sangria bar. I mean, this isn't a wedding, it's a... it's a... it's a runaway train!" Agnarr was already on the ground, panting like someone having a panic attack. Elsa was next to him as fast as lightning, holding his shoulder.

"Dad! Are you okay?" Elsa was really worried, she turned her head and looked for Jack. "Jack! Jack, will you get the cart and some water, please?"

"Yep! On it." Jack rushed to the cart while Dr. Hastings knelt next to Elsa, observing.

"Okay. Take some deep breaths, okay? Do you feel dizzy or cold?" Elsa touched her father's forehead and cheek and did a brief examination while waiting for the cart.

"No." Agnarr said, still panting but when he followed Elsa's instructions to take deep breaths, he felt better.

"Okay, good. Just breath, okay?" Elsa guided her father to take deep breaths again and it really helped because Agnarr now felt so much better.

"I'm okay now." Agnarr said, but had not succeeded in convincing Elsa.

"Yeah, I think it was just a mild panic attack and maybe a little dehydration. You know, I'd really, really like to get you out of the sun and rehydrated..." Elsa was interrupted by Jack, who handed her a bottle of mineral water and she immediately took the bottle. "thank you... " And her focused was back on her father. "and up to the clubhouse. Do you think you can get up okay?"

"That sounds like a good idea. Listen, all of you, you play on, okay?" Said Agnarr, patting Elsa's hand as he tried to stand up.

"Sorry, Sir, not a chance, no, no. I need to re-check your vitals inside. Here..." Elsa handed Agnarr a mineral water bottle and tried to ask for his golf club. "here, actually, I'll take this for you. I think we've had enough excitement for one day, yeah? Just breathe." She continued, as she led her father towards the cart with Jack and Dr. Hastings followed closely behind.

"Thank you." Elsa said again as Jack took over her and her father's golf clubs.

"Good work out there. Good bedside manner." Jack whispered, putting the golf clubs in place.

"Thank you for the assist." Elsa whispered back. "Look out, watch your head." She said to Agnarr as she guided him onto the cart.

"Okay. Ready? Clear?" Elsa climbed onto the cart in the driver's seat and started the engine.

"You're clear, yeah. Go ahead." Jack held up two fingers and signaled that it was safe for Elsa to run the cart. Before Elsa got too far he caught a grateful smile from her and he happily returned it.

"You guys are going to love the dance lesson." Anna said happily as she, Elsa and Jack along with several other couples prepared for dancing lessons.

"Oh, are we?" Elsa said disinterestedly, dancing was not her cup of tea.

"Uh... Just a second." Anna was reading something on her cell phone and it looked like she had to do something.

"Yep." Elsa muttered, she felt like she was in a place where she shouldn't be.

"You were pretty great out there, and I think Dr. Hastings took notice." Jack tried to lift Elsa's mood because he could feel that even though Elsa liked weddings, that didn't apply to dancing. He himself, well, he wasn't really an expert at dancing but he could move his legs and hips well enough to the beat of the music.

"That was a nasty trick you played, surprising me with golf..." Elsa tried to fake her annoyance that Jack had kidnapped her from yoga, but her lips couldn't hide the smile. From the bottom of her heart, she was actually grateful because thanks to Jack she was able to get to know and talk to Dr. Hastings.

"... and a nice one." Elsa continued, this time not trying to hold back her smile.

Jack smiled and nodded, relieved that his efforts could help Elsa help herself. He turned and noticed that Anna was trying to call Kristoff who came walking by.

"Uh, Kristoff? Honey, let's start." Anna asked, walking over to Elsa and Jack.

"Ooh, yeah, actually, I'm going to have to sit this one out." Kristoff said carefully, massaging the back of his right thigh.

"What? Why?" Anna couldn't believe what she heard, again her future husband was looking for an excuse not to take dance lessons.

"Hmm? Oh, I... I did something to my hamstring playing golf today." Kristoff said, massaging the back of his thighs more intensely.

"Oh, you know, dancing might help stretch that hamstring out." Elsa said, pointing at Kristoff's thigh.

"You sure? It's, like, it's really sore." said Kristoff, grimacing as if he was really enduring the pain.

"Owh, okay." Elsa glanced at Anna who was looking at Kristoff in disbelief but, if it really hurts, it's best not to force it. "You should probably ice it and keep it inclined." She added, making Kristoff grin widely.

"Thanks, Doc." Kristoff then turned to look at Anna. "I better get some ice, honey. You know, doctor's orders, so... I'm sorry. It seems super fun." And just like that, Kristoff was out of sight again.

Anna was silent in disbelief. It took a few seconds before she finally let out an annoyed sigh. "But he... he's the one who needs the dance lesson. He's got two left feet! And... I want to look good for our wedding dance. This is really important to me! It's... Ugghh!"

Anna was no longer interested in dancing, she left annoyed with various curses coming out of her mouth as she walked away, leaving Elsa and Jack in the dancing class.

"Maybe you're right about weddings making people crazy." Elsa said quietly, not knowing what to do this time. Honestly, she was starting to feel that the problems that kept happening during the wedding were making her feel overwhelmed.

"Hah, you're beginning to see the light." Jack said, a note of triumph in his voice

Elsa was just about to retort when suddenly, she heard a clap that was so loud that it made her jump in surprise because it turned out that the dance instructor was right next to her, and indicated that the dance lesson was about to start with a clap of his hands.

"Partner up, people. We've got lots to learn, and only an hour." He said excitedly. His hands were raised high in preparation for a dance move.

Elsa and Jack looked at each other and then looked around. Everyone was already paired up and it looked like they will be each other's partners.

"Uh, partner up?" The instructor said again when Elsa and Jack looked at him and they were still frozen in position.

It was Jack who took Elsa's hand first and led her onto the dance floor. And Elsa didn't seem to mind, she was starting to get used to having Jack by her side. "Seems like we're being tasked again. Come..."

"Positions... " The instruktor began. "And... Go." And the music started.

"Well, I should warn you, I am a little rusty... whoo..." Elsa didn't expect that Jack would twirl her around before they returned to basic dance moves. "and you're really good."

Elsa danced awkwardly while Jack took control. "Fringe benefit of my near-miss wedding. My fiance forced me to get lessons for a ridiculous wedding dance that never actually happened."

"Oh, don't blame it on the wedding dance."

"Why not?"

"Because the wedding dance is... it's beautiful. It's romantic. It's the first steps a new couple takes together, under the lights and the music."

"Wow, you are a hopeless romantic, aren't you? Emphasis on the 'hopeless.'" Jack chuckled mockingly, and Elsa just rolled her eyes.

As the music continued, Jack twirled Elsa, pulled her back, twirled her again and even though Elsa was a little confused, thanks to Jack's guidance, she was able to follow the beat of the music. And it didn't escape the instructor's attention.

"Whoa!" Elsa was a little surprised when Jack pulled a little hard until she hit his chest.

"Good... " The instructor praised them instead and then returned his focus to paying attention to the other couple.

"You've got some moves." Jack said, realizing that Elsa wasn't so bad at dancing.

"Well, the E.R. is a bit of a dance... you know, evading gurneys, dodging bedpans..."

"Yeah, I got it. Yep, yep." Jack interrupted Elsa because this was not the right time to talk about work, he was starting to enjoy dancing with Elsa.

"Okay. Oh, no..." Suddenly Elsa grimaced and closed her eyes.

"What?"

"Aunt Millie's all alone." Elsa answered, gesturing with her head to the couch in the corner of the room where Aunt Millie sat alone watching the couples dancing.

Jack followed the direction Elsa was pointing and let out a long sigh. "As sorry as I feel for Aunt Millie, you and I are here, on the dance floor." He reminded Elsa. He was having the time of his life and didn't want to think about anything else, including Aunt Millie.

"Yeah, but that's the whole thing about a wedding, right, is everybody gets to join in the fun." Elsa said. She didn't know what she wanted, she couldn't bear to see Aunt Millie looking really lonely but also, she was enjoying her time with Jack.

"It's okay, Els. We can dance." Jack said reassuringly, putting on his best smile until Elsa finally let out a long sigh and gave up.

"Fine."

The two of them continued dancing until suddenly, Elsa was startled by the phone ringing in her jeans pocket. She let go of Jack's hand and stopped dancing, took the cell phone and saw who was trying to reach her.

"Oh, you know what? I have to take this. I'll be right back, okay?" Elsa hurriedly left the room, leaving Jack stunned and making Jack think, of course she would rather answer the phone. What were you thinking?

"Hans! Hi!" Said Elsa after she was outside the room. Lately, she always spent more time with Jack so that she didn't feel so lonely even though Hans only called occasionally. "Are you ready for your trip?"

"All systems go."

"Don't forget your Dramamine.

"Done... and how's it going with you?"

"Uh, actually... surprisingly fun." Elsa glanced at the dance room' door and for some reason she thought of Jack who was inside.

"What's all that noise?"

"Oh, it's music. Just a little dancing going on. See everything you're missing?"

"Hey, hold on a sec. I've got to get rid of another call here."

"Hello? Hello... Hans? Hello?"

And the telephone connection was lost. Elsa looked at her cell phone screen and frowned. It is so hard to talk to you recently, Hans. What do you actually think of me as?

Elsa blew her bangs and put her phone back in her jeans pocket and decided not to think too much about it. She had a dance with her partner to continue.

So she just rushed inside and what she found was completely unexpected. There Jack was, dancing with Aunt Millie. She watched as Jack patiently guide Aunt Millie in choosing her steps because the dance they were doing was the Foxtrot dance.

"Quick, quick, slow, slow. Quick, quick, slow, slow. Move faster with that one."

Elsa heard Jack teaching Aunt Millie and she couldn't help but smile seeing Aunt Millie's happy face even though she wasn't her favorite aunt. And seeing how sincerely Jack did that, made her feel different. There was a softer side she had just discovered in Jack, and she kinda liked it.

"Slow. Quick, quick, slow, slow. Yes... Slow, slow. Quick, quick, slow."

Jack continued to guide Aunt Millie until when he changed position, his eyes met Elsa's. He nodded his head at Aunt Millie in front of him and then winked at Elsa as if to say, everybody gets to join the fun.

Elsa could only smile and then mouthed 'thank you'. She didn't mind sitting on the couch and watching Jack from afar for now.

to be continued...
