It's just my life has been extremely busy with work and experiencing writer's block sometimes. Anyways, please read or review on what you thought about this chapter?
Disclaimer: I don't own Naruto and I never will because it rightfully belongs to Masashi Kishimoto and Shonen Jump.
A darkening atmosphere had appeared and only after Hinata had witnessed the distressing moment of Karin kissing Sakura. Afterwards, Hinata felt her heart breaking and hasn't felt this type of emotion for many years. On the other hand, Karin had already decided to runaway from the scene of her crime and wouldn't be looking back all because of not wanting to face anyone's wrath right now.
"Will you please listen to me?" Sakura pleaded while failing miserably to fight back tears forming within her eyes.
"Why? You telling me she did it purposely?" Hinata questioned.
"Yeah! Don't you realise what she's trying to accomplish? Form a rift within our relationship and make us split up for good. Doesn't it remind you of somebody who normally does this type of thing to everyone?" Sakura asked and hoping Hinata would listen to reason.
"I don't believe you! Also, I'm declaring our relationship over. Do you think she's worth it now? Finally, you can tell everyone our engagement has ended and our wedding isn't happening anymore." Hinata acknowledged and her words were hurting Sakura in a unimaginable way.
"Will you please believe me?" Sakura tearfully asked.
"Oh, before leaving you! There's something I have to do." Hinata explained.
Out of nowhere, Hinata yanked the necklace from around Sakura's neck and took her engagement ring off and destroyed it by stomping on it. Afterwards, Hinata walked away and all Sakura could do was watch the love of her life disappear into the distance. She then looked at the remains of the engagement ring that Hinata previously wore and began crying harder while picking up the pieces one-by-one.
Meanwhile, Karin had stopped running and was looking around to see if anyone had followed her in-which nobody did. Then somehow managing to catch her breath, Karin caught sight of Sasuke in the distance and headed over towards him to explain how everything went down.
"Has it been done?" Sasuke cautiously asked.
Karin quickly nodded for an answer and Sasuke smiled knowing their plan seemed to have gone off without any problems. Something then caught their attention, it was Hinata sobbing uncontrollably and holding onto the necklace that used to belong to Sakura. Afterwards, Hinata threw the necklace away from her, like it was nothing but a piece of rubbish and that action surprised the pair.
"Looks like our plan worked." Karin happily spoke.
"Uh-huh! Now get yourself away from me." Sasuke instructed.
"What did you just say?" Karin wondered.
"I ain't going to say it again to you! Besides, I'm really surprised that you didn't realise I just needed someone to do my business for me." Sasuke acknowledged and Karin was shocked by this revelation.
"You saying that you used me?" Karin questioned.
"Oh, yeah! I used your hatred towards Sakura and Hinata to my advantage and made you carry out the evil deed for me. Now if anyone asks who performed this heinous act, all the blame will now be passed onto you and now I really want to checkout my handy work." Sasuke answered and walked away leaving Karin by herself.
Afterwards, the horrifying truth started to sink into Karin's head and only after realising that Sasuke had exploited her. After bumping into him at Hinokicho Park a few weeks ago, Sasuke pretended to act like a weakling and used his manipulation skills so it would lead her into doing his dirty work. Karin couldn't believe she fell for one of the oldest tricks in the book and that's by revealing her ambitions to the enemy.
Out of nowhere, Karin thought back to when Hinata had told her about loving Sakura and thus making her heart break that day. Instead of learning to move on like most people, she allowed jealously to overwhelm her and allowed it to be used by someone like Sasuke. Karin began to finally realise that she didn't want to be like this anymore and needed to fix all of her mistakes quickly.
However, one big problem remained and that'll be Hinata and Sakura's friends hating her for everything she's done. But she needed their help no matter what the consequences will be? Before heading back inside to find them, Karin walked over to where Hinata had throwing the necklace previously and found it on the ground which she placed into her pockets.
Meanwhile, Naruto and Temari had finished eating their lunches and decided to walk around the school for a little while. Heading in the direction of the gym, they suddenly heard someone crying and taking a closer look it was their friend Sakura.
"Why are you crying?" Temari cautiously asked.
Wiping away her tears, Sakura answered in detail about how her relationship with Hinata was finished? She explained about how Karin asked her into doing her a favour by needing to meet someone at the gym and then Karin kissing her with a "Sneak Attack!" move. Afterwards, trying to explain towards Hinata about everything that had just occurred and her refusal to listen to anything being said. Finally, she described when Hinata yanked away the necklace she received for her 18th birthday and destroying the engagement ring she had proposed with.
"How could she do something like this?" Naruto wondered.
"I'll be able to answer that question." Somebody answered and everyone looked to see Karin standing behind them. Afterwards, Temari pushed her into the lockers and caused her to wither in pain.
"You'll regret coming here!" Temari screamed.
"I can't blame you for that! However, before all of you start taking your anger out on me. You'll probably want to know that Sasuke was involved in all of this as well and will be coming here shortly to checkout his work." Karin explained while fighting against the pain.
Temari decided on letting Karin go and gave her an opportunity to explain herself. Everybody listened carefully to everything she said and kinda understood into why Karin now wants to change her ways and fix all of the mistakes she's made lately.
"Why should we help you?" Sakura questioned.
"I'm totally aware that I don't deserve your help! However, I've learned that when people do things incorrectly, they want to make things right and that's what I'm trying to do. The first thing is by giving Sakura this back and that'll be the necklace which I saw Hinata throw previously." Karin went rummaging through her pockets and pulled out the necklace in-which Sakura recognised and handed it over to her.
"It probably won't make up for everything that I've done to everyone! However, you'll agree with me saying that you want revenge on Sasuke and that includes me for exploiting me for weeks." Karin explained and everybody agreed with her statement.
"We'll help you! But don't even think that'll change anything yet? You've still got lots of work to do before we even think about forgiving you. Do you understand that?" Sakura acknowledged and Karin nodded.
Meanwhile, Sasuke who'd been keeping tabs on how everything was unfolding right now, was hoping Karin would be punished by Sakura's friends and all because of her alleged crimes. However, he was taking by surprise and was instead unable to praise his handy work for once. He saw them giving Karin an opportunity to change her ways and it left him thinking on how that's even possible? Afterwards, he started walking away and then felt himself being tackled to the ground by someone. Trying to find his composure, he quickly realised it had been Karin who tackled him and started questioning her actions?
Instead of expecting some answers to his questions, Sasuke found himself being lifted up by Karin and tossed into the trophy cabinet which shattered the glass on impact. Afterwards, the trophies then proceeded to fall one-by-one onto Sasuke and some even landed directly onto his fingers which made him wither from the pain he's now experiencing.
"Oh, did that hurt? Just consider that as compensation for exploiting me and doing your handy work for you." Karin explained.
"You'll regret doing that!" Sasuke angrily thought.
Out of nowhere, he grabbed onto a few trophies and threw them at Karin's face which made her stumble backwards. Sensing a chance to get himself backup, he then proceeds to spin-kick Karin within the stomach and launching her into the lockers which disfigured them afterwards. He tries hitting her again, but Karin moves out of the way on every attempt and makes him hit the lockers instead.
"Would you stop moving around?" Sasuke angrily instructed.
"Do you honestly expect me to follow your instructions?" Karin asked and Sasuke started to get frustrated by her defiance.
Afterwards, Karin got herself backup and managed to find an opening within Sasuke's defence and punched him a few times in the stomach. This made him fall onto the ground while gasping for air and then watched Karin grab onto a fire extinguisher which she tried swinging towards him. Yet he managed to somehow catch her swing midway, then shoved the object back into Karin's face and making her fall to the ground.
"How did that feel?" Sasuke wondered.
"We need to think of something quick because this doesn't look good." Naruto thought and then an idea popped into his head.
"Going to surrender?" Sasuke asked Karin within a dark tone.
"I'll never surrender to the likes of you!" Karin replied while struggling from the pain and realising she's in deep trouble.
"Why do they always resist? Oh, never mind! It's time to end this." Sasuke gestured while holding the fire extinguisher above his head and was ready to deliver the final blow to Karin.
"Hey, Sasuke!" A trio of voices shouted.
This caused Sasuke to look around to see where that noise had come from. All of a sudden, his eyes widened by seeing Temari, Sakura and Naruto's fists heading towards him and without anytime to react he was delivered an almighty uppercut to his face. That launched him up into the air by some distance, making him land directly onto his back hard and knocking him into unconsciousness.
"Finally! Are you going to be okay?" Sakura wondered and Karin nodded while getting herself back up from her ordeal with Sasuke.
"What should we do with him?" Naruto enquired.
"Leave him! Anyways, better start explaining how you plan on getting Sakura and Hinata back together?" Temari questioned as they all started walking away and Karin began explaining her idea.
Phew! It's been one of the hardest chapters I've ever written. It felt great that Sasuke received his punishment and everyone chipping in to help achieve that goal. What do you all think Karin's change of heart? Also, what will her plan be to help Sakura and Hinata get back together again? To find out what happens next, stay tuned for the next chapter and with that Velvet's Revenge out!
